Create a general clever opening message that can be used with anyone, but at the same time seems personalized, "I'll bet you were a tomboy when you were little." Imply a question or actually ask a question, don't leave it up to her to come up with a topic of conversation, eryone hates that.

Amen. It is a classic. Also How To Get People To Like You in 90 Seconds or Less. I just finished a chapter on conversation flow. It has more tips on how to actually communicate than How to Win friends, but it also references How to Win Friends, which should be read first. Also, both books are very easy to find for free.

I didn't think you were saying that, so maybe I wasn't clear enough either--even dumb hot girls like to feel as if it their personality/brain that made the guy talk to them to begin with. As far as I can tell, average looking girls are a mixed-bag intelligence wise, but they aren't necessarily automatically turned off when a guy approaches them with fucking in mind, because this makes them feel pretty. They probably put more effort in bed, despite not being any more horny, because they aren't co…

I'm a woman, and until I started accidentally browsing Reddit about a month ago, I thought it was just an extension of 4Chan... and now that I have been going on it for a bit, I still think there is a lot of creepy/pathetic misogynistic, racist, forever-alone, and neckbeard shit. Its not always very female-friendly environment, though this probably due to a vocal minority. But because of these men, if I met a guy who mentioned anything off reddit, I would automatically think less of him, even th…

Totally false that hot girls are less intelligent. In my experience, hot girls are often super fucking smart, but they purposefully put on a 'dumb' act, because that gets them farther in life, and they have learned that using their looks to get by is easier than using their brain. Hot girls aren't necessarily hot because they were born hot, but because they learned how to be hot. It takes effort and knowledge to dress well, eat right, use makeup, work out. Butterface girls are actually usually c…

Ask her "What are you up to?" some afternoon and when she says, "Nothing in particular" tell her to be ready within the hour, because you are going to spontaniously take her out. If she makes up an excuse, tell her, "Let me know when you are free." And then stop texting her/going after her, because she is currently wasting your time. If she is interested enough, she will make time and then invite you.

Yes, exactly. It seems like you want a real relationship with a woman. If your goal was simply to lose your v-card, I wouldn't have responded to you. This is just a suggestion, but if you want a woman to grow as a person with, it seems like finding a chubby girlfriend at the gym might be a great way to find someone to bond with over similar goals and struggles, and you can hold each other accountable. I'm glad I could help, but I think your way of thinking is still a bit off. You say, "glad to h…

Hey dude, great job! Approaching strangers takes a lot of balls. And you know what the most attractive thing to women is? That's right: balls. I should know, because I am a woman (sorry if it seems like I am butting in.) Yes, when asked, women who haven't given it much thought will say they are most attracted to tall men, or smart men, or athletic men, but PUA works so well because women really ARE attracted to confident men more than anything else. You should lose weight, but lose it for you, b…

So I took another look at the section in the Art of Seduction on dandies, and I am thinking more and more that I was off-base in advising you against it. I was projecting my cringing feelings of men I've known who act feminine and pursued me--but the thing about those feminine men, is they did not typically have any masculine qualities, while a true dandy (with elements of "masculine cruelty") would come off more as a man who is comfortable with women than a girly-man. True too, on your hair and…

By conflict, I mean continuously running game. I don't want an actual argument where feelings get hurt. I figured calling it conflict meant the same thing. I want a man who can run game with me primarily because I want to have a fun relationship, not a dramatic or serious one. I am not really looking for intimacy either. I am looking to pick up dudes. Maybe I will have sex with a few if they are hot, even if they have dull personalities. I'm not worried about locking anyone down into a commitmen…

Okay, first off. When I read you had a fro and glasses. I was like: Dammmnnn. That's so. Fucking. Hot. A guy with a fro and glasses is exactly my type. Drool. Might be subjective but you should know there is a market for that. To me, men with that combination look intelligent and independent, and like they can be goofy/funny at times and serious at other times. So yeah. Nerd does not equal dandy. There is nothing inherently feminine about a fro and glasses. And that is coming from someone who ha…

Yep, like I said to him, I am almost done with Art of Seduction. I am going to read the 48 Laws next. The Art of Seduction has actually boosted my confidence a ton, because I already pretty much have used/do use all he said naturally already... I actually have been toning down my seduction on purpose because I was worried I was being manipulative and hiding my 'true' personality. Now I feel like I can go back to seducing and I won't make me a fake or manipulative. So yeah. I don't think keeping …

Ha! I am reading that right now! Almost done. Mostly very insightful, but it says women should smile, make eye-contact and wait to be approached. That might be the best way, but I don't want to wait. And later on it says some other things that you definitely need to take wit a grain of salt. I read an interview with him, and it became clear to me that Greene is a little bit of a sensationalist. That's what sells. I've naturally (cause I'm a natural) got everything pretty much down about seducing…

Super late for this but I noticed that no one commented on the fact this guy knowingly went out to drink with a woman who he already knew was a "self-proclaimed slut," and, "all around crazy." This is not about him getting drunk and losing his control. He was not meeting her to catch up with an old friend. If she were truly his friend he wouldn't throw her under the bus, even if she is a "slut" or "crazy." He clearly never saw her as a friend to begin with.

I treat men with respect. I support men in their masculinity. I think masculinity is attractive, and I only want to encourage it. However, actions do not equal emotions. I found that out the hard way with a man I was in a long-term relationship with. I was consistently respectful. I treated him like a man should be treated. I enjoy taking care of a man's needs. If I didn't enjoy that, I would have no reason whatsoever to be a RPW. My problem is I FEEL disinclined towards relationships with excel…

I do enjoy it. I have been doing it for years. But it is a choice. I either choose to flirt or I don't interact and am off-puttingly blunt when approached. My default-setting is not to interact, so I choose to flirt because I don't want to be alone.

I have a conscience on/off switch for most all of my social behaviors and if I am caught off guard I will not respond properly. I learned flirting and many other social skills consciously when I entered high school. They come to me pretty naturally now though, as long as I am ready. I enjoy flirting too. I actually think consciously learning how to flirt has given me an advantage over women who it comes to more naturally. However, I don't have a half-on/half-off switch. For me I am either entire…

Interesting, very interesting. Some of those characteristics do indeed describe me. I am always looking to diagnose myself so that I may cure myself and thus be happier. And I like to secretly diagnose people I know for fun. I used to think I was schizoid. Then I thought I might have anti-social personality disorder. I ultimately dismissed both self-self-assesments. I know now that I am more than likely a bit aspurger-y (I have been diagnosed, but my psychiatrist says I am too socially capable, …

Thank you for your response. I didn't feel like you were knee-jerk accusing me of narcissism like another response did. However, I am not narcissistic; I know there is always room to improve on the inside and the outside (I should do squats!), I don't think this is about my standards for men. I would end up feeling the same way if I was dating the perfect man. However, being 'grateful' instead of 'respectful' or 'admiring' might be a really good way for me to think. I've grown to love my friends…

Thank you. I think this is the reply I have gotten that seems most helpful so far. I recently turned 23. I know I won't be good-looking forever, and I want to find a man to commit within the next few years, but I am deeply insecure about my personality. I suppose I think of men as entirely shallow because I have never been able to sustain a friendship with a straight one and because I have benifited from my looks in other ways I don't deserve to. When a man likes me I assume he entirely likes me…

What makes you draw that conclusion? My father praises me often, but not excessively. Really, if anything, my relationship with my father is unusually functional. But I don't think I am shit-testing to begin with. I am not trying to 'test' the men. They treat me with healthy levels of respect without any 'tests.' I'm not trying to make the men I date commit or do anything else, but they get serious about me anyway. I'm not currently looking for commitment, but I need to solve this so that when I…

Respect is a feeling, not necessarily conscience thoughts. I constantly admire men in my mind, especially men I am seeing. I constantly think: "how strong, how smart, so confident!" etc. I was trying to make this clear already: the men I want to respect are already entirely deserving of my respect and the respect of other people. But my emotions are not matching my thoughts. When a totally admirable man treats me with a normal, healthy amount of respect I feel less for him. I am not exactly sure…

He is a very successful man, a doting husband, a great father. He also expects me and my siblings to earn our own way in the world. I don't have daddy issues at all.

Were you in Seoul? Everyone I worked with was from there... Or perhaps it just takes a certain type of assertive attitude to be an immigrant.

I've worked in two Korean restaurants, with Koreans. There is a difference between reserved/controlled and submissive. All the men have to enroll in the military for a year. I'm wondering why you think they are submissive. Maybe you are mixing them up with Japanese men? Or maybe you don't understand their etiquette? EDIT: Homosexuality is virtually not-a-thing there, so men don't have to worry that being affectionate with other men or wearing stylish clothes will call into question their masculi…

This post strikes me as ironic. Russian women have learned to value and compete for GOOD men, not ANY men, because Russia has the worst men on earth. They are the most suicidal and alcoholic. They are in prison, abusive, and uneducated. All this resulted from too much coddling of boys postwar. I believe even the English speaking ones value good men; I saw a documentary that showed that there are female Russian PHDs looking to become mail-order brides (anything to find a good man). Meanwhile, Kor…
