IDK why anyone downvoted you. That's tedious work. I'm trying my hand tinkering at the SEO for my own business site today and probably through most of the weekend (along with other marketing stuff). That's valuable work and your friend is lucky to have you doing it on a discount. Hope he appreciates it.

But I slowly realized how oppressive feminism has become, and therefore I no longer want to associate myself with the movement. Good. Maybe soon enough you will realize group rights movements of every single stripe conceivable will oppress the individual, and concurrently destabilize the society. Ever notice how all of these movements pit one group in society against another? Ever just dawn on you that hey, maybe there's something immediately wrong with that antagonistic approach? I suggest to y…

Personal anecdote: I was effectively project managing for years in the legal field, though with all the credentials of a practicing attorney. It was a grunt role with responsibilities above that and my credentials exceeded that further still. Graduating into the Great Recession from a new law school, this is what I could get. Millennial life story, am I right? Anyway, I was happy enough to grind out long hours, build my skills as much as I could in the role, and then seek a path of advancement t…

Society would collapse if 80% of men chose to say... "No." Society is collapsing because most men spend their lives falling over themselves to do anything to please and serve ungrateful wamen.

If you mean by origin, it's a Canadian sport. Got to give our neighbors to the north their due. It's also popular in much of Europe, so you have plenty of options for seeing a game somewhere in your travels.

The issue isn't having versus not having trade deals. It's the fairness of those arrangements, including consideration of state subsidies, currency manipulation, breach of sanctions agreements and of course the balance of tariffs. Play nice with the US, get favorable treatment. Play dishonestly and dirty with the US, get harsh treatment. The carrot has always been there since Bretton Woods with the US underwriting, at its sole expense, the entirety of the global trade system as well as the lion'…

It's all self-destructive behavior. Both in the social as well as financial context. Edit: As a historical analogue, consider a serviceman, serving abroad in wars past, sending money home to a girlfriend or young wife, knowing that they will likely be apart for years and that she not only may never show appreciation but may even leave him. It's different but not so far removed from the behavior here, sending money online to some girl far away with delusional fantasies of reciprocation that ver…

Those are political movements co-opting aspects of identity, not the identities themselves. Edit: For example, I have gay family members and colleagues that are none too pleased with the LGBTQ, SJW and BLM movements. It's not a bigoted position to claim these political movements are harmful to society and counter-productive for the groups they purport to represent. By contrast, hurling around the accusations of bigotry is a low tactic of shutting down the political debate.

Absolutely. Grab a newspaper or whatever and read for a bit. Get some distance from the office politics for a few minutes. Oh, and no one bothers you doing your business in the stall. At the urinal, the talkers will approach you while you are obviously preoccupied.

Mistakes were made. Lessons learned. Adjust your valuation process, and get back in the game with renewed vigor. You will do better. One of my first buys was NFLX. I had to sell as I went into grad school and needed the cash. If I had known better, I'd have said F grad school, grew a pair of balls, and invested more. Lesson learned. Doing much better these days.

I feel you man. I've dealt with similar in legal as a PM / team lead, but it's more about booze and legal medications for these crazies. I've only been making about 60k doing this. I was able to pay off school debt and build some strong investments with a spartan lifestyle on this income, but your advice is dead on for a guy like me. It's time to move on to greener pastures.

I've managed projects in the legal field involving 20+ attorneys for about 5 years now. The worst individual to manage was a woman who actually blurted out that she hadn't been taking her medicine as an excuse for her unruly, obstinate behavior. Couldn't call this one lazy, just spastic and unwilling to follow directions and respect the little authority I held. Because I have been doing this work as a contractor for an agency run by an office of entirely feminist women in a big coastal US city, …

I'd give first props to Hungary on that point, really. Poland came in supportive of Hungary, and Hungary of Poland. Can't separate those two with the immense trust between them. The Czechs, Slovaks, Slovenians and Austrians are also in the mix. Italy is a huge addition to the block, no doubt, and I think the ramifications have not yet been felt at the EU level. With the Italians and Austrians on board, it can't just be dismissed with some derisive pejoratives about backward eastern Europe.

Well, for football, it's just called the Superbowl. There's no "world" in the title. You are really just referring to baseball. The World Series started in 1903. That was all the baseball in the world then. The sport is very traditional, and the name stuck. It's really not as chauvinistic as a lot of people make it sound.

The WHO is an agency of the UN. It is the same agency that made Robert Mugabe, former Marxist dictator of Zimbabwe, into a "WHO Goodwill Ambassador." That lasted all of one day, as international outrage ensued. The current head of the WHO, Tedros Adhanom, was responsible and has only been at the helm since 2017. Clearly this organization is going to hell in a hand basket.

To your point (re: empowering), I can and do walk up straight, shoulders back and bow to none. I take what work I will and decline what I will not. Truth. On the conditioning note, we can even see that Happiness has been redefined by the prevailing culture as a feeling, a momentary bliss, rather than the old meaning of deep, enduring pleasant contentment. It's plain to see how many lives move in an unhealthy direction as a result of this critically different conception.

Exactly, they talk about "power." Feminism is an ideology of power above all else. Loyalty, truth, justice... all subordinate to power. Liberation? Oh, that comes through "empowerment" according to feminists. It's a trap like quicksand for the soul. These generations of women, by and large, are lost and gone forever. All we can do is try to mitigate the collateral damage.

Junior year at a state college... GF of only a few weeks cheats on me with my closest friend at the time there. The friend tells me what's up by way of confession; I was only somewhat surprised for about a moment. I remember making a fist, holding it for a few seconds and releasing it, along with any feeling I had left. I told him I'm glad he told me, and while I think less of them both, it was better to tell me than not... Go ahead and fuck her, if you like fucking trash. On campus, I ran into …

Well done. This is exactly right. It's all about control. The woman really isn't upset about the thing she says she is upset about; she is acting upset to put you on the back foot and gain some control over you. She is, however, genuinely upset about not having control over you, and she is willing to be dishonest and to manipulate your emotions in the effort to gain control over you. When you disagree with her, you remind her that she does not control you, so you trigger this manipulative respon…

I hate to be that guy, but for others reading this, she is a PhD candidate at "Penn State" University. Its main campus is in the middle of Pennsylvania. There is no "Philadelphia State" university or college. As an alum of the former, I too hope the school rips apart this thesis as a feminist polemic utterly devoid of any scientific integrity. That said, I have no such confidence in academia anywhere.

Don't need to read Marx to pick up the ideas. It's about the world view. The "right side of history" triumphalism permeates the rhetoric and attitudes of all SJW progressives, and enables them to demonize all opposition. It's not the economic class hierarchy this time, it's race hierarchy and gender hierarchy, among others. It's like they took Hitler's obsession with racial struggle, infused it with Marxist revolutionary zeal, and then ran wild with intersectionality bs to grow the minority supr…

It's not liberal opinions. It's progressive opinions. Subtle difference to some, and plenty of people conflate the terms, but the difference is fundamental. Liberal opinions are routinely no platformed by progressives. For example, I can say every retail business should be free to discriminate its clientele, and the market be free to respond as it will. Progressives respond there should be a law against that, and shame on such wrongthink.

Some people just don't understand how deeply satisfying it is to conduct yourself in a proper manner in such situations. It's an objective demonstration and a reminder, that you the better person. They're so blue pill indoctrinated, they think apologetics will spare them. It's like a false confession made as a plea for leniency. That or they think this effortless contrition expiates some true guilt they feel; a pathetically self indulgent act for which we need a new word.

Well said. No, they "can't even" imagine the effects. Instead, they delude themselves into a reassuring feeling that their aggressively self satisfying proclamations of girl power have no adverse consequences in their personal lives; that their persecution of men has no significant downside, or if there is, it's only for men and they deserve it on the basis of some collective guilt or another. Great points. Just would like to add. Beware of hedonic adaptation. You may enjoy certain treats or experiences. Keep them as rare treats. Don't turn them into daily habits. Examples include getting starbucks everyday, ordering out all the time, having dessert every night, concerts every weekend, etc. So routine it diminishes enjoyment, harms health and it hits you in the wallet hard.

Agreed, but I think you really mean a progressive. They occasionally call themselves liberal to mask their tyrannical nature. It's a ploy. They are completely incompatible with liberalism. Hey, by all means pursue your own goals. However, also bear in mind the black swan events that can come at us from all directions in life. Ditto. Early 30s now. I've rented with both friends and parents over the past few years. Parents were the better option. To those in the midst of Red Pill Rage right now, remember those mistakes led you to this point. Seconded. To add to your points about what we are seeing in this sub, there are a large number of guys advocating social isolation here. Even for the most introverted, this is unhealthy.
