I have filed for divorce. My ex wife makes more money than me. I want to do second job as well temporarily to be secured financially (all the lawyers fees etc.). If I do 2 jobs, my salary will be higher than her. Is it a bad idea to do a second job temporarily?

In #1 - She is plaintiff because she filed TRO against me. In #2,3,4 - I am plaintiff and she is defendant because I filed for divorce.

What are the chances of getting 50-50 as man? Considering toddler and I have the fake TRO against me. I am afraid what if the judge makes it FRO. I won’t be able to see my kid for a year. Or that’s not how it works ?

It’s super annoying and scary. I still can’t believe all this is happening. I was completely blindsided. I still think my wife isn’t like that. Her brother and family and one of her best friends are brainwashing my wife. I feel my wife is super stressed since last year because of COVID and WFH and toddler and all. I think she is not in right mental state and hence people she is with now are brainwashing her.

It is. I was able to talk to my lawyer this evening and he sent an email to my ex’s lawyer. He even asked to pay her personal credit cards with her personal checking/savings account and not joint account anymore. Will see what they will reply tomorrow.

Yes, we do have a daughter and I haven’t seen her for almost 2 weeks now as my wife has DV restraining order (fake) against me. My only interaction with cops/laws in my entire life is getting one speeding ticket. Now going through all this BS.

Thank you. My attorney on Friday told me that “he talked to my wife’s attorney” and will try to settle this TRO outside the court and ask me to start thinking about parenting/visitation, stay etc. pending divorce. So, that’s what I was hoping to get template for. Maybe I am thinking way ahead. My attorney told me that he’ll call me during the weekend to discuss more and he ll help me with stuff. But, he didn’t call during the weekend. I called him two times today too and he didn’t return the cal…

What did you do about the stay? Who gets to stay in the house while pending divorce etc.? Or did you have in-home separation? I am going through an ugly divorce. Wife has a domestic restraining orders against me (all lies) and need to go to court in a few days. I am afraid that judge may let her stay in the house until the divorce is finalized and I’ll have to rent a apartment and pay for both apartment rent and half mortgage of the house and other bills.

Man I am in the similar boat, but she hasn’t changed even after 7 days. In fact, she sent me a domestic violence restraining order for texting/calling (like 2-3 times) her during the weekend to ask to save our marriage. She has blocked all the communications. I hope I can save our marriage.
