I'm right there with you, the dread of seeing your ex with someone new is so difficult to cope with. She was never yours, it was just your turn. There is a reason you got into the divorce, think about that. She moved on a long time ago (mentally) before the divorce got into play.

Women have backup plans, almost all of them do at any point in the relationship, it may suck but there’s a ‘pretty’ high chance of her going on dates. Who cares? She’s no longer yours but guess what, you’re no longer hers…

Lift heavy shit, get out there, become a better version of yourself and for your kiddo.

My position is similar but much harder. Found out my wife has been talking to another man for a few months. We should've split long ago but stayed for the kids. This outcome was inevitable. Unfortunately we still have to live together for a few more months.

She said she was going to stay at one of her friends on Monday a few hours away. When she came home Tuesday she did laundry. I switched the load to the dryer and found a pair of panties that she never would've worn for me. She swears her and her friend went shopping, but I know deep down she had a rendezvous with this man and it is eating me up. It's hard to see her moving on already, even if I know it's what we both need to do.

Shit sucks man. Follow the advice the gentlemen on this sub give. You're going to have bad days, but hopefully more good ones to come.

For me, I stopped caring when I was going out on my own dates.

It took a few years, but after her "husband after me" dumped her, she moved in with her parents. Her dad cracked the whip and forced her to get a job, get her driver's license back (she didn't drive for 5 years because of all of her crashing due to pills) and get a car.

She started dating some guy. I was amazed. She was clean, sober, working, and putting herself together and making "good choices."

I sat there and thought, "If she had been able to do that for me, I wouldn't have divorced her!" But then I thought, "Hell, if she had been able to do that for her last husband, he wouldn't have divorced her either."

It was all for naught. She went back to her old ways after 6 months.
