Flip the script on her, if she did indeed makes more than you. YOU are entitled to alimony. I owned a business, my ex claimed she was 50% owner, fine. What she didn't realize was that her and I split the business 50/50 but she had a part-time job with fairly negligible income, but it saved my ass. She went after me for alimony, but because "1/2 the business was hers" AND she had a part time job. I was the one entitled to alimony because she technically made more than me because the business was …

If it's that far out, the best thing you can do is get your incomes as close together as possible. (It's even better if she makes more.) Definitely don't work overtime, have a second job, even work fewer hours if possible, or really earn any sole side income. Make sure she's fully employed. Basically, minimize your contribution to the finances as possible.

What I am going to say, isn't really her fault, but its usually the case. Girls with dad issues will make terrible long-term partners. How she treats, acts around, and talks about her dad is a very good reflection on how she will treat you. Keep that in mind for the next one.

There's a big difference between being a good woman and acting like a good woman. One is intrinsic, and the other is for show. Example: My ex-wife donated a lot of time to children's causes, which are admirable causes. However, she did it for the perception boost for her ego #1 and not for the children or the cause that was secondary. So, did she do good things? Yes. But only because she got recognized for it. Had HER image not been boosted, she wouldn't give a shit about the cause. A lot of "Ch…

Sounds pretty much like me five years ago and thousands of other guys that come through here every day. You won't ever trust her again; she's cheated on (100%) you and likely will keep doing so even if you stay together. You probably will, only to get f'ed over by her harder than if you just left now. But you will probably try to stay together and make things work because your situation is different. It's not; it's a modern-day pattern that is rampant in today's society, but denial is a hell of …

This got me thinking what led her to be this way. I realised it's lack of a good father. Her dad worked abroad ever since she was like 7 or 8 yo and came back home once a year. Guys could solve so many relationship problems doing this. How she treats her dad is the ceiling for how well she will treat you. Girls with dad issues, rarely (never) will ever make a good partner.

They don't know because some just parrot what's been told to them without ever actually looking into it. Even when it's blatantly false. Hitler hated Jews, and please remind me what party has nearly all the anti-Israel people in it ?? (At least the ones being vocal about it currently.) Hitler was a leftist authoritarian point blank; just because you parrot what others say to the contrary doesn't change that. It just makes you no better than the average German citizen in the 1930's.

Unless she is snorting coke with your kids on national television while hitting them with a horsewhip, you have no chance at full custody, and if she were doing those things, I'd still give you a 50/50 shot. Her on the other hand, all she has to do is make up a domestic claim against you, and her chances jump to about 80% 50/50 is better than what the majority of men get; accept the gift.

I went with a male and wish I had gone with a female. The problem was this was my first dealing with family court, and I wasn't aware family court loathed fathers. I feel you, it's been 4.5 years for me. It sucks, you want to know what really sucks. The dreams, the dreams everything is ok, or she's back in my life, and I actually feel that weight lift and I am happy. Then I fucking wake up realize it was just a dream, and feel like shit for the rest of the day. Generally have these dreams several times a year and they are the happiest dreams that I have ever dreaded.

I have a girlfriend now (Been divorced for 4+ years) and the one requirement I had for a relationship was someone who had been cheated on, but not cheated themselves. Because I fully believe that once a cheater always a cheater (especially in women). And I wanted someone who knew what betrayal also felt like and doesn't want that again or impose it on anyone. I still don't see myself getting married again though, but if I did it might be if I was dying and I wanted her to get my benefits after I…

You "naively" assume feminists want peace, they are doing exactly what they have been taught/programmed to do. They have no interest in "stop being jerks" because they have been told they need to be jerks or they will lose "the power they have fought for" They want no middle ground, they want to win. Ironically that's a masculine trait.

So was I. But at one time I believed in Santa, the easter bunny, the tooth fairy and other things that I was told weren't real (anymore) either. Because you know what is real. The family court system and its goal is to break you emotionally and financially. What you described rarely exists in a westernized society any longer. You could always move to non-western society, personally Id have my children via a surrogate (and never marry) if I had to do it all over again.

Surrogate? Then you NEVER have to worry about losing your kids to family court. Versus the path you are on: Having kids on a 2nd marriage, (near 70% divorce rate) especially with a lawyer who is coming to the end of her fertility and really just wants a quick sperm donor. Then you will be lucky if she doesn't frame you for something and then maybe you get 50/50 time, all while giving her thousands of dollars per month to fund her new life for the next 2 decades.

Realistically, not going to happen. I'd give you a 10% chance IF the mother was a hard drug addict and you hadn't already been thrown in jail for DV. There is a greater chance of her getting full custody, and if she calls the police on you again for DV, I'd almost guarantee she gets it. You will never loose custody of the one thing that really matters. You will never be alienated from your child, you will never be forced the pay exorbitant mommy support for a child you have, at best limited access to. Also the type of woman you would attract (that would date a single father) is more apt to be less head and heart ache in the future.

100% true statement (I'm 48, and have 3 kids). If I were young again and had no kids, I would absolutely have my kids via a surrogate. ZERO doubt in my mind. Truth be told, in modern times men should ONLY have children with paid surrogates.

Women mostly bring conditional love. Women ONLY bring conditional love. (For spouses/partners) It doesn't exist anymore, if ever. I can only make one case in my entire life of possible unconditional love from a woman to a man. And that was my paternal grandmother to my grandfather. (They were married in 1937) and honestly, thats probably because of my rose-colored glasses.

I have enough respect to tell her. On top of what Gattsama said (which was 100% true). Women don't really hold value to "respect" the way men do. Respect isn't generally a top priority in a woman's nature. Respect generally keeps you from getting punched, women don't get punched often, and therefore it doesn't mean the same to them.

PP, claims to be a women and mens service but in reality, it's a laughable joke for men what they do and provide for men. In fact, inside they was literally nothing for men, pamphlets, and posters didn't even have pictures of men or…

Margret Sanger was an open racist, she also was the founder of PP. And not like using the "n-word" kind of racist, like PP was started with the vision of keeping the colored population under control. She was arguably not much worse than Hitler. But she gets a pass and people like to forget about her inconvenient truth. Though PP actually recently acknowledged her, which was kind of shocking but I think they were just hoping to downplay her.

Of course not, of course, neither are relevant to RvW either. Aside from the possible argument of the 14th "forbids the states from depriving any person of “life, liberty, or property, without due process of law" Could actually be used against abortion, as you would be depriving a person (unborn) of the right to life, liberty, and property, without due process.

Despite the propaganda, overturning Roe/Wade does not make abortions illegal. All it allows is for each state to decide. So while some states will restrict abortions (15 weeks), others will be allowed to keep the status quo, just as they were earlier this morning. All this does is put it in the states hands and not the federal government's hands. So maybe its possible a woman might have to travel to another state under certain circumstances. But they are far from outright banned. And even if a c…

I think they should abolish all gender categories of all sports. No more, WNBA, Women's Golf, Swimming, Tennis, Track, All Olympics Sports etc... They got rid of racially-based sports decades ago. (Negro leagues) now it's time to remove gender-based categories and may the best human beings win. Equality for all!

22 years, 2 kids. I was (pathetically) hung up on her really bad for 2 months after we separated, looking back it makes me cringe. By year 1 all the gaslighting effects, therapy, reflection, of what a horrible wretch of a human being she was. Also, it helped she was an absolute c*nt during the separation and the divorce and still to this day for that matter. Rebuild your relationship with your Dad immediately. Long story short I rebuilt a relationship with my Dad after having little to no contact for nearly 20 years. I took a chance, pushed through the awkwardness of 20 years of no contact, and come to find out he was nothing like he had been portrayed as, yeah he had his flaws, but nothing like I was led to believe. The older girls get, the farther they tend to stray away from Dad. Ok, then but you did write. "Based on your attorney's advice, this is when you should notify the A.P. spouse if he is married" It wasn't gender-neutral in this sentence, which at first I thought might have been the reason it got blocked. But you didn't say she, which would have been non - PC. So no idea, because it's generally accepted online to infer men are cheaters.

"Based on your attorney's advice, this is when you should notify the A.P. spouse if he is married." The post was gender neutral except for this spot. Though this post is inferring it was a male cheater so that's probably not why. (Since it's generally is acceptable to portray males as bad, because god forbid you say women cheat, in a general Reddit room.) I'm sure this sub will get "quarantined" someday soon. So you are divorced? Like served, filed, finished? You say "ex-wife" which generally means divorced, but then say she's been moved out "for a month" which given its vagueness means probably 3 weeks, gives me the impression you are just recently-separated. If you are actually divorced, then whoa she sounds bat shit, press charges, and she needs a straight jacket and a padded room. You will eventually stop seeing the marriage through rose colored lenses and see the person, not your idea of that person. My ex wife is one ugly, messed up mean nasty woman. But I didn't see her that way until I let her go as that idealized person who I had unconditional love for after she left me. 1000% True. Took me about a year to see that.

The thing is - nobody ever wants divorce right? She believes her life will be happier divorced than married. But what if that simply isn’t true. False, divorce is actually very attractive to a lot of women given the system is rigged in their favor. (At least initially) It's not, but women are emotional creatures and don't generally act rationally. That's something men don't really "get". So yes you are right for the most part, but does it matter right now? Nope. My ex of almost 2 years, life is …
