46-year-old male here and I just had my birthday on Friday (which per usual she forgot) I celebrated on my own and invited people over so I could cook for them today. Our actual separation is on the 8th of April. We had some mutual friends over tonight for whatever reason and everything was great until it wasn't. Even the mutual friends, including the women realized how completely disconnected my soon-to-be ex-wife was/is. No matter what I said or did, she could not give one less of a shit about. She had nothing around them and also seemed to rope them in on her behavior because I was involved. I was cooking dinner for the group. She did what she normally did and came in and grabbed food just for herself and went and sat down and ignored me and everyone else. She left her food dishes out on the table and side table when she was done and completely ghosted the room. Also normal to me but not to the group, she put in her headphones in and proceeded to read some book supposedly on her phone. Ignoring her own friends and everyone that was at the house. Some of the woman seemed appalled but said nothing. Things like this went on throughout the night to the point where I couldn't wait for them all to leave. I was so fucking embarrassed. Even up to this point where everybody should be playing nice. She couldn't give a damn. It's very depressing and once they left I just went straight to bed and shut the door, she's not allowed in here anymore. She happily could care less and went to bed. Is this nightmare over or is it just beginning?

I have received several texts from both the men and the women that were here in varying degrees. Either apologizing or saying how sorry they are that this is how things are. I don't know why I still even bother, she'll be gone in a week yet. I still try and keep up the facade that things are normal. I don't know why I'm doing this to myself. Please downvote this to hell if this is not the place to put it. But god damn I just needed to get it off my chest.
