When stated like this it sounds like it is very unlikely for a man to have an erection when he doesnt want sex. I would be very interested to get an update from you after the lectures. I wouldnt get my hopes up though that the lecture on women will be unbiased as it says that the material will be viewed from feminists perspectives. I for one am relieved that they at least did not divide children in girls and boys, ie 'everywomaneverygirl', as is so often the case for instance in UN organizations and reports. I mean, that men are being excluded is almost a given, I dont think they are even considered when discussing poverty alleviation, they just dont exist in the minds of these orgs. So if I understand correctly, the right to vote is not dependent on conscription directly. It is more the fact that women got the right to vote without having to protect the stake, ie without the obligation that leads to comments like 'women were just handed the right to vote'? Interesting stuff! Thanks for posting :) I was especially pleasantly surprized by the political affiliation chart, being a lefty MRA. I knew I wasnt the only one! My first conclusion: we are definitely not a conservative crowd (ie not religious, not Republican, highly educated, young etc) which I think many (outsiders) will find surprizing. I agreed to the fact that a lack of agency was no good. But I do think women were a protected 'class'. Most men, including myself, still feel the urge to help a woman in need, and I think thats biologically ingrained. At least thats my personal analysis. My problem with your analysis is that I personally dont believe that women were oppressed by a patriarchy. Rather, I believe that women were a protected class, with a lack of agency as a consequence. I was circumcised about 5 years ago due to medical reasons and I would say that I lost about 30 percent of feeling not 90 percent as you state here. But it was still very noticable initially. FACT: If men don't get exactly equal leave then it is in the interests of employers to hire men over women. Don't believe that just because we have 'equal opportunities employment laws' that gender bias doesn't exist. Employers are not stupid, and generally they are not sexist.
