I didn't see any posts about it solely benefiting women. In fact, most of them talked about the father being with the child during the early developmental years.

I do wonder what country the original poster is from. Most countries, US included, do give parental leave to men.

In Finland (for example) a longer paternity leave for men is one of the top feminist issues. The reason they give is to expand the male role and give women a more equal status in the job market. Fine. But it also means that men's job market status is going to be weaker. Can men take it, the ordinary men, not the kind of alphas feminist seem to fantasize about? There are many studies indicating that men are already losing to women: many employers favor women over men, women's hourly wage is better, many secure, well-paid jobs are being taken over by women, female YUPs are out-earning their male counterparts and so on.
