And it's nothing to be ashamed of. Every woman has gone through the same thing. You should be proud of yourself for breaking out of the cycle. Some women will never realize this and will spend the rest of their lives in these toxic, parasitic "relationships". I'm so grateful for the negative experiences I had because they taught me valuable lessons about myself. It only sounds like common sense after you've already realized it.

They don't care about their photos because they know 99% of women won't call out a man for catfishing while on a date. And if you're out with them and willing to look past them being uglier than their photos, they're hoping you're desperate enough to still sleep with them anyways.

They're asking you for selfies to: A) Gauge whether you still look like your dating profile. They want to make sure whether you still look the same way. B) Gauge your responsiveness to their demands. If you're willing to send them a selfie when they ask for one, you'll probably be easier to manipulate when the time comes for a date. When you send a photo, you are proving yourself to be needy. You want their approval. or C) False intimacy. Send me a photo so we don't have to talk about your day o…

OP, I’m about 70% sure I know this guy. He’s seriously not worth catching the L train for.

bartenders in my city would never allow this. they ask for a name every time you add a drink. and also, i only keep a tab when i'm out with my girlfriends. and if i'm out with them, we're talking to each other... not talking to men :)

next time op, don't even bother replying. show him he's so lame he doesn't deserve a response. they think they can jedi mind trick you into your pants. puh-leaze, you're not that suave buddy.

Block him. You aren't obsessed with him, you're obsessed with the fact that he rejected you. No amount of sex or nudes will make him like you. The hard truth is, he does not care for you as a human being. The sooner you accept that, the sooner you'll be able to move on. Like others have mentioned, you need to date other people. But I think you should hold off on that until you've tackled the reasons why you're accepting such awful treatment from a sexual partner.

yes, this is low effort. here's what you do. before your next date, ask him what he has planned for the date. if he tells you he just wants to go to happy hour, say you'd rather do something a little more exciting and you're tired of doing the happy hour. he will either change plans or make up some excuse for the happy hours. if he makes up an excuse, don't go and stop seeing him. if he changes plans, great sign. after this, he has one last chance. if he tries to suggest a happy hour for the nex…

None. Don't date. I'm so grateful I waited until I graduated High School to start "dating". Reality is, the majority of experiences you'll have before 21 won't be real dating and will teach you absolutely nothing. Most guys you meet at this age are not worth it at all

they're married and posting random photos from their camera roll. i wouldn't even consider this to be a red flag, these men are usually too fugly to even post a photo and are hoping a mythical nyphomaniac with no other options will swipe on them

Whatever tasks I need to do that day is my excuse. I stopped allowing myself to interrupt tasks, no matter how menial, to check my phone. Taking a shower. Strolling through Target. Making a coffee. All those things I'm mentally not allowed to interrupt to text someone back

anyone who describes himself as a gamer is a LVM from my experience. you can love video games, but as soon as you call yourself a "gamer", I know you're probably shelling out 200$ for early release dlc's and holing yourself up in your apartment for days at a time yelling into a headset

The best response is to start screaming. I've had men try to corner me to get my number late at night and I just start screeching "get away!!! get away!! get away from me!" like I'm a possessed crazy person. They always get so scared. Good, now you know how it feels to be approached by a fucking stranger chode

I always go through a man's instagram followers before I agree to a date. Once went on a date with this guy, who, I found out afterwards, followed hundreds of cam girls. Even had a fan photo with one of them. How do you even meet a cam girl out in the wild and have the audacity to tell her "I'm a fan of your work can we take a photo?" Total loser. Eww.

i snooped and i'm so happy that i did. ladies, don't be shamed out of snooping. my ex boyfriend and i were about to move in together. we had an argument that i felt weird about, so i checked his web history and found 5 saved passwords to extremely deviant fetish websites. he was sending nudes to these crazy people, too, so there was no denying he was active on those accounts. he had always made himself out to be super vanilla. i'm sure people can make the argument that what i did was abusive, bu…

but who cares if he isn't a decent guy? at the end of the day, he's literally a stranger. he, like all other strangers, doesn't owe her anything. stop expecting people to be who they say they are after one date.

no offense, but i think you need to see a therapist. this is not a normal reaction at all. you chose to take someone home on the first night. the two of you had consensual sex. maybe he realized he didn't like you as much as he thought. if offered sex, 90% of men will accept it... even if they're morally opposed to one night stands. they're hypocrites, but they're allowed to be. just like you. move on. focus on your family. enjoy your thanksgiving and take this as a lesson learned to wait until …

this is confusing. he's been telling you to pay the next round everytime you go on a date? read between the lines here. how do you "sort of" ask someone to be official? especially after only 5 dates and with him literally living out of town. he's buttering you up to get himself laid. especially with the two of you planning on spending an entire weekend together. he gets some ass and a free place to stay. 5 dates is not long enough for any of that. and with you paying for stuff, he can tell you r…

yes, yes, YES went on a date with a guy who only wore beanies in photos. we were sitting by a fireplace and it's getting hot. he takes the beanie off and i swear to god his hairline looked like a cookie someone took a bite out of. we made eye contact right at that moment and he put the beanie back on. cringe.

most recently, had plans with a guy. he made no effort to plan out what we were doing or what time we were meeting so i stopped replying. he calls me at 8 pm to ask me if i felt like going to this bar near him. 8 pm. my friends shamed me for being high-maintenance and told me i should go. "at least he's taking you out"..... mostly because that's treatment they'd accept themselves. no thanks, i stayed my ass at home and let him know that if i don't know my plans by mid-day i'm not leaving the hou…

it's the same thing with friends. my female friends will give me the worst, most backwards advice i've ever heard. i don't think they believe it, i think they just want to see someone do what they couldn't do

i think it depends on their dynamic. in most female bff situations, the guy is pining after her and she doesn't want him. then the guy gets a girlfriend to direct all his attention to and the female bff is threatened that her lackey is no longer paying attention to her. cue the drama. i did date someone with a female bff and she ended up becoming *my* bff. he cheated on me, she took my side and cut ties with him completely. she's still in my life today, offers me amazing advice and will take a p…

I ignore it completely and look the other way. After they've paid it, I'll usually take their hand and say "thanks, I had a great time" Most men will grab it automatically, I've only had one who let it linger expectantly. Still made no attempt to pay that one. As long as you do it with confidence he's not going to want to embarrass himself by asking you to pay

Block him immediately. He'll be back when he wants something to do. You have to make sure you won't be giving into that temptation. Get better at setting boundaries. Focus on yourself and stop feeling sorry for yourself. This isn't a reflection of your worth, but rather a reflection of your self-esteem.

in the city I live in, no one owns a car. people pretty much only rely on public transportation or ubers. and about the 10 am thing, yes i agree. he has no reason to really find me stressful we've only met once and it was a pretty fun, lighthearted date and i haven't been pursuing him at all, only replying when he contacts me. i'm leaning towards him not being that into me or double booking with another girl that may be more convenient. with my living situation, it's implied that i can't have gu…

Block him immediately on everything and move on. Find something healthier to focus on. Dive deeper into work or hobbies. You're hoping to hurt him to prove that he cares about you. He does not.

Again, this is not a relationship. You've mentioned in multiple comments that he disappears on you for weeks. Boyfriends do not act that way. So stop worrying about him. You need to disconnect from this man and work on your self-esteem.

I think you're worried about the wrong things here. You're having unprotected casual sex with a man you can barely communicate with (as he doesn't speak great English) inside of cars and motels and somehow you thought he was your boyfriend? You need to do some serious soul searching before you even *think* about dating.
