I dont think this has anything to do with pickup. Im starting to realize this myself. I broke up with my girlfriend of a year and a half. This girl was my best friend. We connected on a level way deeper than anyone else I have ever known. We met and immediately it was fireworks. Honestly, I worry that I will never find that again. Because lately all the girls I have been out with are air heads. Fun girls, but nobody who I could be on the phone with until 4am or survive 35 minutes of silence with…

I've been practicing meditation lately so I think I know what you mean, but could you elaborate a little for me?

I was thinking about taking a swing dance class at school this semester. Not exactly the same thing, but still definitely out of my comfort zone.

I have not read this book, and don't know what the challenge entails, but I want to do this. I need to do this.

For a sub full of people trying to better themselves there sure are a lot of condescending pricks on here. On this post and others. I have no problem being politely directed to the sidebar, but it's not like you're out here reminding people what's in there on the daily. We should be here to help each other and not everyone is a reddit genius. Can't imagine you're out there hittin much while trolling for posts here to bitch about though.

What do you mean exactly when you say talk about whatever's on your mind? Am I talking about what I had for lunch and then move right into how much I like the Garfield comic strip? And also clarify don't censor yourself. I just want to make sure I'm on the same page.

it would have been better if you would have said something like, 'I guess you're not immune to humblebragging, dickwad.' Then put on your slick 80's style shades, hit the button on the remote detonator, and then walked off into the sunset without even looking back at the explosion.

I used to be really bad with names. This is the technique I started using to remember them. After you introduce yourself go in for the handshake. Then you smile and give them some good old fashioned eye contact. Focus on the color of her eyes. She loves that shit. "Hi, x. Nice to meet you" Now you can ask a question or start other conversation but make sure to use the name again, "So, x, do you come here often?" And then once more in conversation shortly after that. Use the name 3 times and youl…

If this girl really is closer to the "normal" side of the scale, then she is going to be much more capable of managing a successful healthy relationship. It takes two to tango so focus on what YOU did successfully in your past relationships and apply those lessons when the time is right. Otherwise, focus on having fun and having a kick ass time.

What kind of tricks did you use to help yourself use these techniques? Obviously practice makes perfect, but my mind wanders a lot and I have a hard time consciously and actively practicing being social with anyone, let alone women...
