I was going to say, the best revenge would be for her to see the best version of you. She knows she’s moral-less garbage. You’ll have to deal with her for the long haul for your son. In the meantime, get buff at the gym, work on any sort of certificate or degree program for the better job and kill her with kindness. Use that “hate” to motivate you to become better.

Thanks brother…. You don’t know how much I needed to hear that.

Yea, ooof…. She was still connected to my electronic medical records up until last week and I saw that she got a gonorrhea and chlamydia test. Both negative tho. She used to be “good”. I can only chalk it up to mid life crisis. This new person she turned into is garbage. I’m planning on keeping no contact and refraining from the comments. I’ve lawyered up and requested alimony since she makes a little less than double my salary. She’s representing herself.

Yea I keep jumping between anger and depression stages of grief. There’s no coming back from what she did but for some reason my compulsion is to ensure she suffers the same misery I feel. I don’t act on it but I wish it. It occupies the area in my brain that reminisces the good memories.

I saw the video… she makes a 5 second cameo smashing one of my old trash guitars in a wall. She definitely wanted me to see it.

Yes… I need to get out of this victim mindset and direct it to building myself up.

Yup, I’m in the shit if it. Almost month two and the divorce is about to be filed in court. She initially wanted to separate after 12 years because she didn’t find me attractive and never had the “dating life”. She sprinkled in a few other issues like not being there for her mother during a bender and choosing to go to a bachelor party before her birthday. She immediately confessed to “talking” to multiple guys after she told me she wanted to separate. Bullshit. She then gave me Covid and we had…

Yea… one week anniversary of my last encounter with her. I’m still fuming. I can’t get over the fact that the last 12 years of my life, my good years, was an illusion.

Thanks for this today! It’s shitty here in the dark.

She has childhood trauma. Her father committed suicide in her teens and possibly had bipolar disorder. I always wondered if she was going to show signs. Maybe this is it.

I met her in college in 2010/2011 and just went through life. Engaged in 2016 and after a two year engagement we got married. The relationship was about 12 years total.

I feel like I’m wasting money: Hired a great attorney who is a women in my area (family reference). Wife makes almost double my salary, initiated and made this process so shitty (CT). Ex has been an abuser for a very long time.

Rationalizing is what’s probably doing the most damage to me. I cannot help but sit there and rationalize once it gets quiet and I have free time.

6 is fucked for me. I grew up in a household that “mom and dad married in their 20’s, had me and made it through the struggle. That’s what I thought marriage was, that’s what I held to uphold. Ride or die. 8….. letting in. I feel fucked. Like, it’s going to be a good long time. I wanted to start a family a few months ago… I never wanted to start a family but at 30, I was willing to make those sacrifices. Now it’s all I fucking want. I can’t trust, I can’t date… idk what to do.

32 now… feeling alone for the first time since high school. Literally just moved into my own apartment and now I feel like I can heal. It’s the god damn “aloneness” that eats me up. I feel great not having the spike of anxiety with her around but it feels like there’s a hole I need filled. A few months ago I was mentally ready to buy a house, have kids and white picket fence that shit in.

Yea, she’s with another guy but is very determined to share that she talks to “a few guys” as if that’s any consolation. I’m pretty toxic and hope she realizes the shit mess she created and I get the opportunity to shut her down.

I need that comment posted on my new fridge to wake up to every day. Thank you. I’ve spent years thinking I was the flawed one. I have flaws like everyone else, but hot damn, she really gave me the burden of it all. What you said hits it on the mark and I have so much work differentiate her shit choices/actions to the flaws that I have.

Currently in the stage of watching her take 2 hours to prep for dates. Feels like I’m being stabbed.

I’m about a month into it as well. We both still live under the same roof. She’s gone most of the time going on dates after work and sleeping over these random guys places (started dating more than one guy immediately or just continued after DDay). I’m a heart broken mess 90% of the day. I get an hour or two of motivation to follow through with divorce related issues. I don’t think I can start to heal once I leave the apartment. I got really bad news today that the landlord won’t let me out of t…

Yea… she’s only been with two guys before me. After 12 years together, she now chooses the attention from any other guy over me.

Wife dropped the bombshell last year. Immediately or continued her first affair the day after. My dumbass thought we could repair the relationship and she was committed as well. About a month ago, she “loved me and was committed to the marriage”. Two weeks ago, drops another bombshell then immediately or continued dating a whole different guy. She’s a horrible person and I’m still getting over the shock.

Yea, it seems like you should try your best to maintain as little communication as possible. My mind instantly went into “fix it mode” and that’s just not how women work. This helped me see things more clearly.

I feel you. Together 8 years married for 4. She wants out. She’s been wanting different dick for idk how long. First they try to blame you for their misery but deep down they crave attention. It’s garbage.
