Love between a man and a woman will always be conditional. If you want true love, then you better learn to love yourself.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/04/25 05:12 AM

lol I identify as a RPW, and I definitely do not lack leverage in the dating world. I don’t know much about the history of RPW, I just personally agree with a lot of its principles. Be in shape, don’t be a bitch, wear dresses, be respectful to men, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/04/25 11:46 PM

I’m a RPW, and the theory is not about being a convenient woman. RPW put a huge emphasis on vetting your partner early on before choosing to be in a relationship with them. It’s a lot easier to be “convenient/cooperative” whatever you want to call it, if you know that you’ve vetted and chosen a good man.

I don’t think that they’ve missed their opportunity if they’re past 30. It just becomes harder and they may have to “bring more to the table” so to say.

I don’t think people are arguing that men and women are in the same position as they get older. I think that most women know (or should know if they participate in this subreddit), that attracting a quality man gets harder for women as they age, which is why they shouldn’t squander their youth. Whereas it’s opposite for men. A 20-year-old man is low on the totem pole. I think the disagreement is at what age do most men hit the wall. I think most people here would agree that the wall for most men…

This question that was asked was is in regard to MOST MEN. Why do you keep going back to women?

I agree with you. However, the question was about what age do most men hit the wall. So I was responding in regards to men.

Exactly. I’m in grad school at an Ivy League school, and most of the students in my class are between 24-31 years old. There are a few outliers of people being 40+, but even then, those are people who had respectful careers in the past who are now making a career switch. There’s not one 40+ year old student in my class who was previously employed at a job where they had a low earning potential. I think TRP telling men that they have the rest of their lives to get themselves together is cope. Mos…

I agree with this comment that a man who glowed up like that would go from a 4 to a 8. I just don’t think most 40 year old men who find themselves in that situation, single, overweight, having a low earning potential, etc. are going to turn themselves around at that age. Of course it happens, but it’s definitely not the norm.

I personally never ask a man on a dating site what he’s looking for because I expect him to lie anyways and say he’s looking for something serious when he’s not. I just pay attention to his actions and go from there.

I think that you’re wrong to say that black women collectively have low SMV, and that you should have said that black women have LOWER SMV than their white counterparts when trying to date outside of their race. Lower doesn’t necessarily equal low. A white woman may have a 9 SMV when trying to date outside of their race while a black woman may have a 8. I’m assuming that you’re in the USA, and they as a whole favor European beauty standards, it is what is it. As a black woman or minority period,…

Part of surrendering control is realizing that you can’t control another human being. If your needs continuously aren’t being met and you’re uneasy about him then maybe you need to consider if this is the right relationship for you.

This is honestly a good mindset to have. If I look at it that way, then I can still feel like I’m adding value to him by allowing myself to be saved.

I don’t think my boyfriend is perfect, I can see why you would think that. I just sometimes think that maybe he doesn’t realize what he’s signing up for? All of my health conditions that flare are invisible. They aren’t things that he can see. Also, while I’m sick, I’m also in grad school at an Ivy League school… so I think that a lot of guys are like she can’t be “that sick”, when in reality, I don’t know how the hell I manage everything. But then again, grad school at an Ivy League is stressfu…

This is so important. Instead of focusing on the bad men, focus on all of the good men. Also detach yourself from all bad men that you know, distance yourself from them, remove them from your life. Focus on good men and their good traits and the right man will find you.

I feel like it’s even more important when you’re older. In America there’s a 50% divorce rate. If you’re one of those women who ends up divorced with kids and you’re in shape, you automatically can get anyone. I don’t think Lauren Sanchez is pretty, but we can all agree that her body is more in shape than even most 20 year olds, and now she’s engaged to the richest man in the world.

Submission can start before marriage. If you choose a solid captain that is a great leader, then more likely you are going to yield to his desires. However this man trying to dictate your time spent doesn’t exactly sound like something a respectful leader would do. There’s a thin line between being a leader and a dictator.

I hear what you’re saying u/deltonrobert But all 0TheSpectator0 did was filter out the guys who are obese, and it gave a number or 28% in the US. I think this shows that most Americans are fat, which by the way is already common knowledge. She’s saying that it “isn’t delusional” to want someone who’s not fat. I agree with her. It’s not delusional to want someone who’s not fat, but when so many people ARE fat, it just shows how much harder it is to secure them as a partner. It also shows that tho…

I second this book! One thing I liked about this book, is that she says is that and don’t quote me haha, but she says something a long the lines that “if you want someone who is attractive, tall, and kind, but you find someone who is attractive, tall, kind, AND nerdy (or any other non-negotiable trait for you), then you’re still getting what you want”. I’ve never thought of it that way, but that’s a great perspective to have.

Not trying to defend OP up and down. I am someone who has dealt with having distorted eating habits back in high school, and having stringent weight loss goals can make it much harder then having more flexible ones. That’s all I was getting at by saying “50 lbs in 4 months is a lot”
/r/RedPillWomen22/01/25 03:28 PM

“He wants to talk to God to make sure this is the right thing to do” God says to love your neighbor as yourself. Yes, that includes gays and trans people who OP admits that he doesn’t support. In fact, no where does OP even state that this man is religious. For all we know his comments regarding “talking to God” could just be a manipulation tactic to keep OP on the line.

I’m 5’10 and if a guy lies about his height and I don’t find out about it until our date, then I literally will go on the date have him pay for the date, and then decline him afterwards and tell him it’s because he lied about his height. If a guy is going to lie to me about his height, then I will make him psychically pay for it.

I’ve never been in this situation before, so I’m not sure if I’m cut out to give the best advice for this scenario, but maybe stop putting yourself in situations where you can easily have sex with him. Schedule dates outside of the house, and make plans with other people right after so you’re not tempted to have sex again

I was engaged to a man who was shorter than me, and I’m currently dating a man who is slightly shorter than me. (I’m 5’10 by the way). I guess as others have said, it’s a tradeoff. You can leave this man, and may find someone taller with not as great of characteristics as your current man has, or you can stay with him. A lot of this also depends on your height as well, which you don’t mention in the post. I’m not saying that you have to “settle”,’ but if you’re my height or closer to it and you …

You are doing A LOT for 4 months. Also, as another commenter said, men don’t really care about stuff like this. I recommend you read the book Why Men Love Bitches. Tell him happy four months, buy him his favorite candy bar, and go about your merry way.

I don’t see anything wrong with addressing his current relationship weight gain in. However, if you’re wanting him to become a complexly different weight/live a completely different lifestyle than he was living before you were with him, then I don’t think that will necessarily work well.

While I am okay with being the breadwinner, it’s still very important for the man that I marry to have a stable job. I believe that the man should be the provider, and it’s hard for them to provide if they don’t have a stable job,

I 100% agree with you. It’s obvious that OP has self esteem issues, so we don’t want to feed her this scenario which may lead to her thinking this is even a potential option for her. OP you are worthy of a HUSBAND, before you have his children.

You’re not asking for the world, and I agree that this is hard to find. I’ve recently started dating men older than me in hopes that they may have more traditional values and that I may meet my person there. If you’re religious then maybe looking for someone in a church setting or looking at a meet up group could help as well. Good lucky girly.

I’m around your age (not over 30). Anyways, It’s important to not want to marry just anyone, but it’s also important to be realistic by what you mean by settling. Make a list on what your non negotiables are as well as what you prefer in a partner vs what you actually need in a partner. Some people are just way too picky and when they are 35+ and can’t have kids, they realized they missed out on quality men because they had certain things as non negotiable when realistically those things should …
