You are 20. You are young and can do so much better than this. You’d be wasting your time with this guy. I noticed you said “is this my best bet at a good life” and “I won’t find anyone else?” In a comment. It seems you are worried about not finding someone else and wondering if you should settle. You know you don’t like this guy. This guy loses nothing if this doesn’t work out. You’d be wasting your youth, and ‘prime years’ on someone who isn’t worth it. You’d be doing yourself a massive disser…

Sounds like he wants to emotionally cheat without repercussions.

It sounds like you want kids. You just want to have them with the right person at the right time. So that seems reasonable to me. Am I misunderstanding something? Could that be your answer to the person you are dating?

Hmm idk.. sounds concerning to me. A man needs to know how to survive and remain healthy. Having nothing in the fridge doesn’t give me that confidence that he can do that. You can cook meals on special occasions. I wouldn’t be meal prepping for him. Definitely not.

Why are you concerned if you haven't had the conversation with him yet? You don't even know what his thoughts are on how you should contribute. You admitted that you are just assuming he wants to start splitting the bill.

I do agree that if someone really wanted to marry you, they would. It does seem like the conversation that you guy's had was a positive one. So maybe something will come of it? Just my opinion though, I do think that living together doesn't incentivize marriage. You are offering up all of the benefits that come with marriage without receiving the commitment of marriage. Something to think about.

Just judging from another comment you made.. is the issue that you have a high n count? I have also, in my younger years, through a lack of guidance and attention from my parents, have tried to seek attention form men sexually. Whored around, had lots of sex. I’ve put effort to change my behavior and no longer have sex unless there is commitment. I’ve had a few guys over the years ask me about my past. I tell them honestly that I do have a high n count and I regret making those decisions when I …

Sounds like you are overly anxious about this whole thing. I think you need to be more specific about what the issue is for you. What does 'settling' look like for you? Do you mean having kids? Not ever moving around? Staying in one place and never traveling? Are you okay with waiting for him to do those final 3 trips that he wants to do, then having kids after that? Are you okay with him traveling on his own for a month's time once a year? Are you okay with traveling with him? Does he not want …

It's the military and its special forces, so it's not a normal situation. Not knowing what is going on is kind of how things go due to security reasons.

Based on your situation, I would probably write in MILSO groups to ask for advice or thoughts. They would be much more knowledgeable about your kind of situation and what to do. They would also be more knowledgeable on what kind of communication/contact is normal for the military. Based on what I know and have heard, reassurances are really helpful in a long-distance military relationship. So I would suggest you keep doing that.

It sounds like what is stopping you from wearing feminine clothing is the attention that it gets you. If you are wearing feminine clothing, you are going to be more attractive to men, and yes they will notice it. That's not something that you can get away from. Because it is more attractive to men, yes, it will have some sexual undertones to it. Of course, we don't want to be hypersexualizing ourselves, but if we are wearing more feminine clothing, we are being viewed as more sexual creatures. I…

This happened to me as well. I'm still trying to heal from it. Bothers me sometimes but it gets better over time. Thankfully I don't have any symptoms. I had an initial breakout period but now I don't even notice it's there. No symptoms. The only issue is informing partners about it when we get intimate. Thankfully my current partner is alright with it and we take precautions to not spread it to him. Though he accepts that he may get it from me eventually and is okay with that. So it's not the e…

I think the fact that you are a virgin and that it's your first time would be more 'exciting' for a guy than you having any experience. So I don't think you have anything to worry about. Also, everything in the bedroom can be learned together. Let him teach you. However, I do want to echo what the other ladies are saying... 4 months really isn’t that long to show serious commitment. Maybe he has shown commitment, but I would think carefully about how he has proven that to you. Have you vetted hi…

Maybe look for traditional men forums? It may have the type of content you are looking for. But I personally wouldn't know. Just the first idea that popped into my head.

There's a lot of literature on the 'male gaze' in the horror genres if you would like to read more about it. Explains how women are objectified in those films; women in distress, young women, bodies being shown, grunts, cries, etc., all for male entertainment.

So you can have sex for work but he can’t pay for sex? I’m just a bit confused. Hopefully someone with more insight to this kind of thing can guide you.

girl: "you wanna meet?" guy: "Sure. How about you drive 45 minutes to join me in something I was already doing, like video games with the bros" girl: "we should date each other" guy: "sure"

Yes..... so true. I've met so many guys that talk about their exes cheating on them... then over time, it gets revealed that they actually cheated on their exes. Crazy.

yeah, what gentleman would complain about it on social media? that just shows how transactional he is. he thinks doing x behavior immediately grants him y goods.

Oh. My. God........ I once went out with a guy who had a fridge that looked like this. No joke. EXACTLY LIKE THIS. I was thinking.... do you not eat? Do you just eat frozen food and eat out all the time? Clearly taking good care of yourself....

I've been bettering my social network. Investing in better friends. Friends that are in good relationships -- the type of relationships that I want to have. Eventually, you'll meet some HVM in their network that are single.

How long have you been dating this guy? It sounds like you've been dating him for two weeks. If so, you sound kind of desperate tbh, and your behavior is a little erratic. I think you need to do some healing before dating again.

Id recommend just avoiding sweats and leggings for errands all together. I don't think it's a good look if you are aiming to look feminine and put together. I agree with some of the other ladies on casual dresses and rompers. Easy, quick outfit. Youll look more put together. I personally wear a top with some comfortable trousers/pants that I own. I recommend investing in some comfortable trousers. Linen, as another lady recommended, is a nice material.
