They were brief, less than 2 hours. I decided I didn’t have time to waste texting if we could meet for a bite or a drink instead. Cut to the chase.

3-4 per week for the first couple of months, down to two a month when I decided it was too much of a shit show and I had better shit to do. It was a process for me to learn how to date again after 18 years out of the scene. I made mistakes and learned a LOT along the way, but was a lot more confident now than in my 20s. I also violated some FDS rules in the beginning lol. I had literally given up and deleted 2 other apps when I gave Hinge a half-assed try. It’s designed for serious relationships…

Just enjoy the ride. It could end any moment, or you could find a guy like mine who is just a true gentlemen 100% of the time. Took me a long time to get used to it, until I realized it hurt his feelings if I pushed back. He’s a truly generous man who thoroughly enjoys treating me well. I do for him as well. You may have just found yourself a gem. Good luck!

Why let that sort of Neanderthal trigger you? Personally, I don’t mind when a man thinks that way because he is not the sort of man I would want to pursue me anyway, so it’s a win-win.

Some people don’t want to match with anyone, they just want to “see what’s out there.”
