Hi girls! A situation:

2 weeks ago, met a guy on Hinge. He was respectful and friendly, took the lead in the conversation and asked for a date quickly, took me to a nice dinner, and we had a great conversation about many shared interests. He said he enjoyed the evening and hoped to see me soon, but didn't lay it on too thick. Nice looking guy, successful in finance. We texted for a couple days and as the weekend approached, he asked what my plans were. I described them; he said they sounded cool; he described his; I said cool and asked who was throwing a certain party. No reply! I figured he'd ghosted, shrugged my shoulders, and didn't give him another thought. This was like a week ago now.

He just texted me "Hey there sorry have been getting crushed at work - how is your week going so far?" Uh--he wasn't getting crushed at work while partying last weekend?

These are the 2 options I'm considering: 1. tonight text back something like "wow, surprised to hear from you again. [short sentence about my super-exciting HVW project at work this week]" 2. Cut losses and ignore.

What would we recommend?
