These pictures are a lot, man. I don’t know what your intentions are, but the added pictures seem more like gratuitous flexing than anything resembling useful, actionable information. Furthermore, I have zero idea what sort of consent you were given here. Did these girls consent to the photos? What about their being posted on the internet?

Overall I think downgrading an LTR has little real-world utility. If she needs to be downgraded to be in your life, she’s probably not LTR material to begin with. At that point, you’re just playing with fire by hooking up with a chick that you had a relationship with. High risk, low reward. Better to just cut ties entirely it seems to me. If you refuse to hard next, it seems like “getting busy with life” and having a DGAF attitude are the best alternatives. If she can’t shape up in the face of y…

Beware of hindsight bias and chasing winners. Remember that almost all speculators underperform the market. Especially over the long term. Only speculate with what you can afford to lose and be prepared for the opportunity cost of not buying the market itself.

I’m not sure what’s disgusting about low expense index funds. I’m also not advocating going bullish on tech, I’m arguing that the market as a whole (S&P, for example) is the most consistently performing accessible investment to the lay person. Yes, S&P is largely comprised of tech, including Tesla and its insane PE ratio. I do think a correction is probably par for the course. But if OP were to invest in the S&P and wait 10 years he would almost certainly out perform any hedge fund over that per…

Dude why are you posting this in asktrp. Can we just enjoy some things without asking if they’re inherently masculine/feminine? How are you gonna be red pill if you’re trying to fit something as simple as cooking into your “masculine” narrative. Just live life dude

While I agree that he should invest in himself and have cash liquid for important expenses, I think you’re downplaying the potential of investing those savings. Let’s say he saves $100/week for one year, and then never invests again. Let’s say he’s 18 and he earns a return of 7% per year. At 65, that $5,200 will be worth $125,000. There’s something to be said about spending money and liquid savings, but if he’s sitting on cash, I think that sort of upside is worth heavy consideration Edit: that …

Dude. I don’t watch TV or movies almost ever, it’s not my preferred media form. Nonetheless, there’s clearly value in film, and in variety (just as it is valuable in all other realms of life). Life involves escapism, be it art, music, literature, film, video games, daydreaming, etc etc. Does your “red pill” world just involve continuous hustling, 24/7? Are all the aforementioned activities literally useless? While I agree that TV is unproductive and largely a waste of time, and the average perso…

Have you worked in finance? I’m working on my major currently, and I’d say it’s anything but useless. Something like 95% of my class has a job upon graduation, average starting salary of ~$68k

You forgot: medicine, finance, accounting, architecture, etc etc. If everyone just had to “know somebody” we’d all be rich. Kyle (2.5 gpa, no degree) isn’t getting an investment banking gig at Goldman because his friend’s dad likes him. Yes, trade school offers real, lucrative positions. But GPA is important to a host of well paying jobs. Either you underestimate the compensation the average person desires, or you have misperscribed the majority of the population. College is literally one of the…

Start thinking more long term. Why do you want to make good grades? To go to college? Why do you want to go to college? Most of the time, a good answer is “to get a degree that sets me up for a job that pays well and I won’t hate.” Put together an idea of your future. Grades are meaningless without context. But when grades mean capping your earnings and dreams, they start to mean something. Watch one of your buddies not graduate and do drugs at his mom’s house, and you’ll think, “damn, so that’s…

Good call. If your break up still hurts, here’s what worked for me: Ensure you’ve thought it through thoroughly and extrapolated any lessons. After this and any initial grieving, refuse to think about it. There’s a sort of sick pleasure in the grieving. You need to immediately cut off any useless thoughts and replace it with an activity that improves your quality of life. My life got a lot better when I did this

Journal your gratitudes each night. Meditate for 20 minutes a day. Spend time doing shit you used to love, even if it’s playing video games. Pick up new hobbies that you actually like the idea of. Do things that make time pass effortlessly. Go to the gym insofar as you desire to better yourself. Not as a “fuck my ex, I’m leveling up” but as a “I enjoy my progress regardless of how it relates to anything.” Learn to distinguish how much of your desire for women is your ego or your emptiness talkin…

I certainly understand that perspective. I think it’s fair to frame most of “morality” as an evolutionary development. Think doing something kind in expectation of reciprocity. However, I think there’s some curious circumstances of morality that oppose self-interest, for example, a soldier jumping on a grenade before it explodes to save his peers. Going further than morality, I think it’s interesting to look at our behaviors and desires - I don’t think our actions are always aligned with the pro…

I think what you’ve outlined here covers a good part of human behavior, but you need to personally account for human rationalism and morality. Are these meaningless constructs, or is there something there? Regardless, it sounds like you’re trying to encapsulate the world into a single narrative or principle. Might provide you some order, but you risk oversimplifying the world in a way that can get you into trouble down the line

People can’t take psychological advice unless they’re open to it. Don’t go about medicating her or diagnosing her or shoving advice down her throat. And don’t fuck her. The only situation I see this working is “John, I’m going through XYZ, what do you think I should do.” “I think you should go see a therapist.” Remember, girls often display emotions because they want to feel heard and supported. If she doesn’t want solution-oriented responses - you’re an emotional tampon.

Don’t. I’m 21 in college, 30k+ in savings and investments. I’m also a big watch guy. My collection: two Seikos. What I really think you should understand is the effect of compounding interest. That $9000? Assuming a 7% interest rate, that shit will be over $140k when you’re 60. Is a watch worth sacrificing $140k going toward retirement? Probably not. My plan is to stash cash and build my net worth. Then, when I’m 35 or so, and make an accomplishment in my career, I’ll splurge on a Grand Seiko. F…

Confess, dude. It will liberate you and it will crush you. Most likely, things will end, or, she will torment you about it forever. How would you feel if you married a cheater? Is ignorance really bliss in that circumstance? You need to contemplate the ethically correct decision from each parties’ perspective. Once you’ve determined the ethically appropriate action, hold yourself to it. Don’t be a hypocrite AND a cheater. Ultimately, it would suck to confess, but living a lie would suck too. You…

The whole book fixates on a resentful man’s musings and how he carries that out in the world. He is self-aware and (in some ways) brave, while simultaneously a resentful coward. I think we all have some of his persona in us. With all due respect, your above text almost sounded like a modern day writing of the Underground Man. May be an insightful read.

Dude, I don’t know much about Kurt Cobain. But I have a feeling he could pull MAD bitches. There’s countless artists that write hella simpy songs but can pull like nobody’s business. As far as I’m concerned, any negative results from your lyrics (as long as they aren’t psychotic) are going to do much less damage than the time and effort you’re spending worrying about it. Yeah look into some data on the optimal body fat % to begin bulking. If you’re really set on building muscle I can understand that cutting seems like regression, but ultimately, you’ll have an easier time bulking if lean, and you’ll be leaner at the end. Nobody wants to end up fat at the end of a bulk
/r/askTRP27/09/20 11:41 PM

I figured you do, just keep at it so you don’t lose more muscle than necessary when cutting. There’s some cheap ways to measure your body fat percentage. I use a scale that uses electromagnetic waves (or some shit) to calculate your physical makeup. Like $20. I was surprised to find myself at like 18% bf. Been cutting for a little bit now, sub 14%. I want to get bigger and stronger but I also recognize that the optimal place to begin doing those things from is at a low bf%.

You want your dick to function, so you artificially amp it up and it’s still deficient in another way. Not surprising. Hypertension medication is intense as fuck. Solve your blood pressure by fixing your diet. Eat vegetables, fruits, and whole grains. Cut out processed food, salt, and alcohol. Drop your body fat percentage. On top of being a healthy individual, your dick will work properly too. Best of luck. https://nutritionfacts.org/video/how-to-treat-high-blood-pressure-with-diet/

It’s not that there wasn’t a reason, it’s that part of you doesn’t consider the reason valid. Ultimately, you decided being with her wasn’t the right fit for you at this time. That’s a reason. The alternative? Pretending you want to be there. I think you should be proud of yourself for being truthful. I know it hurts to see someone you care about suffer. But I can’t think of a more elegant way of handling it. Guilt is only an emotion of legitimate concern if you can confidently say you made the …

Question, forgive me if this has been asked already. Does testosterone cease to increase at a certain low body fat percentage? Something to the effect of not having enough fat reserves to optimize hormonally? Furthermore, can we see an actual reversal in test levels upon crossing a certain super low bf%?

Won’t speak to your whole post, but regarding getting over the break up: Process it as you need (grieve and take away lessons), but once you’ve done that, drop any thoughts of her. They don’t serve you anymore. Your brain has neural pathways dedicated to thinking about her. Break them. It’s kind of funny and tragic how we find comfort in misery and even seek it out. You need to (eventually) recognize this behavior in yourself and refuse to entertain thoughts of her. Cut the thoughts off immediat…

How’s your libido been since the break up? Could be related. You’re also exiting a dry spell and getting with another girl for the first time in quite a while. Give yourself time to adapt and relax. It’ll sort itself out.

Two-thirds rule. For every three texts, give her two. For every three calls she makes, take two. Of course it’s not a hard and fast numbers game, but the rule conveys the proper point. Pull back on her pull-backs. If she misses the rewards of treating you properly, she’ll step her game up. Or she’ll leave, in which case you cut your losses. Dude, you aren’t hearing me. I literally agreed with your previous point and attempted to accurately rephrase my original post. You’re right - always dress for the occasion. Attempt to AMOG through fashion and get laughed out of the room. That being said, I can’t think of any college university and beyond where wearing, jeans, a t, and sneakers is an attempt at “fashion AMOGing”
/r/TheRedPill14/09/20 02:33 PM

Agreed on the bottom text. My point wasn’t so much about dressing like an adult, exactly. Maybe “don’t dress like a kid” is a better phrasing. Or “dress like an adult insofar as other adults your age do.” Context is everything.

Not bad advice necessarily. Mannequins probably capture trendy and classic looks alike. Good to take mental note of what you see — from mannequins, celebrities, what you consider fashionable people, and aggregate them all into a look that feels right to you.

A lot of this information just doesn’t carry the same relevance in college imo. For example, athletic shoes and shorts can look good, but they almost certainly aren’t the epitome of college fashion. I’m sure it varies on a school-to-school basis, but I think a more generalist approach would be more ideal for the average college dude. Wear jeans, a good fitting t shirt, some sneakers. Wear a dope jacket, not just hoodies. Color coordinate. Piece together something that gives you a “look” without …
