What "forcing us" even mean? Who's forcing you to eat anything? "Bad for a men's health"? I have a different perspective. Less people = higher taxes. Governments don't tend to shrink, so the expenses tend to increase and less people to pay for them. Resources aren't freely distributed, so the accessibility to them won't change.

It sucks not to be independent, but you know pain is temporary. I hope you can keep your sanity and health until you're free. If you don't have enough time or money to train, take a look at HIIT/Tabata and blood flow restricted training, each takes about 15 minutes to get good results (use Google Scholar to see the researches).
