Each person has to find their own way of expressing alpha qualities, in a way which aligns with their inner spirit. We can copy bits and pieces from people we admire, and try them on for size, but there is no outside perfect example of how you or I should be, We have to find our own path. The man's way is to carve his own path. Lead, don't follow.

Not sure if the friend of OP is circumcised, but ED is linked with circumcision. Circumcised men with ED issues often have issues with condoms, since there is effectively no feeling left. The circumcision may be the real cause of the depression, not the condom. http://www.thewholenetwork.org/twn-news/does-circumcision-cause-erectile-dysfunction https://www.academia.edu/6395137/Adding_Insult_to_Injury_Acquisition_of_Erectile_Dysfunction_from_Circumcision

Did you read the site? I hope you take the opportunity to consider new information. Most boys worldwide are not circumcised, only 38% still are. Circumcision is a sadly outdated practice. We know better now. Most of the national medical associations worldwide now recommend against circumcision, and the others take a neutral position. Even the AMA Journal of Ethics recommends against circumcision.

They also never dare say the word "convicted". It reads like an empathy article. When was the last empathy article on a male sex offender? Exactly. Say it like all the other articles: She was convicted of a sex crime with a minor and sentenced to two years in prison. And how about a matching title: Convinced sexual offender abused boy with drugs, only sentenced to two years

Since feeling and intensity are reduced, the orgasm tends to be less intense. It is much more difficult for a circumcised man to get to full body orgasm, so sexual tension remains. There is data which shows more deviant behaviour, as well as much higher use (4.5 x) of viagra in circumcised men.

It is ethically and mortally wrong to do this very harmful procedure on children against their will. Read the AMA ethics papers on this from 2017. Adult circumcision is very different from infant circumcision. For the adult, they usually only remove problem areas, and the most sensitive frenulum (the male clitoris) , is left in place. In infant circumcision, they remove 20-50% of the penis tissue (yeah crazy). A baby penis is so tiny, you can't see where you are cutting. The procedure has no special surgeons or standards, and results are very random, as well as sometimes severe injuries . The frenulum and most of the sensitive tissue is ch…

Every day so-called "health care" bastards are pushing circumcision. Also see what's going on in the Philippines with young teenagers, and in Africa with the WHO. I've spoken with several parents about this and they were pressured, lied to, or manipulated, at a very vulnerable moment right after the birth. Also watch out for pressure and guilt from family members. This is a sick obsession. The mutilation of children must stop. www.doctorsopposingcircumcision.org

Can you be more precise in your language? Have you seen the discussions from Jordan Peterson about precise speech? This is very important when discussing sensitive topics. Almost everyone has some kind of "privilege" through sheer luck or chance of genetics, their family, their community, things they have worked on for years, and so on. These complexities can't easily be summarised in a single sentence. So to answer your question, a sentence like "women are privileged" is incomplete, inaccurate,…

sadly all a part of the male bashing campaign. I read some advice from an older man once, who said that it is important to understand that society is scared of males, because a strong male is indeed powerful. Just because of fear, society lashes out with constant put-downs. He said to get past this. Good, strong, moral and honourable men and women are all needed in a well-functioning society. Good points, but it doesn't mention male genital integrity. One third of male children worldwide are assaulted by male genital mutilation. The harm of this damaging amputation must finally come to light. Healthy human beings have many needs, including love and sex. I don't see harassment / assault as a male or female issue... it's a human issue. when we get good reporting, it shows bad behaviour in men and women in similar numbers. most people are decent, but we have some people who misbehave. bad behaviour has nothing to do with gender.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 02:45 AM

we have the reports from men circumcised as adults. it clearly reduces sexual function and pleasure. however the effects are more severe and traumatic on a baby because of the trauma of the surgery and the large amount of tissue removed, typically 1/3 to 1/2 of the penis is lost in infant circumcision. men who were circumcised as children may have repressed trauma. some studies say there is a 50-70% PTSD rate in these men. so we need to be compassionate.
/r/MensRights14/11/17 02:38 AM

There is plenty of blame to go around. The medical industry lies, misleads, and tricks well-meaning parents who aren't well informed on such a topic. The doctors and pharmaceutical industry profit. Meanwhile, the mainstream media refuses to report honestly on the subject. Legally, only girls are protected from genital mutilation, but boys circumcision is still legal worldwide. Good PSA, thank you for the reminder. Also a slightly related PSA; don't circumcise your sons. Circumcision results in decreased condom use (due to decreased penis sensitivity), and causes a host of other sexual and psychological issues which are suppressed by the medical industry.

That's good news, glad to hear it! Let's keep spreading the word, there is still a lot of communication needed on this topic.

Glad they are working on this! I have scoured the Internet (yep read all of it) and it seems, besides foreskin restoration, this is the only therapy which might restore the feelings which have been taken away. Will be signing up this weekend to donate. Even if it takes some time, I hope the therapy becomes successful.

I like to keep the argument simple. We believe all humans have the same equal rights. We believe men and women are equally human. Many countries forbid cutting girls' genitals because we know it is harmful. Cutting off bits of anyone's genitals is harmful, gender has nothing to do with it. Do we really believe in gender equality? Then we must forbid genital cutting for all children.

Humans are complicated and we need a balance of many things for a fulfilled life; healthy food, nutrition, sleep, fun, friends, work, family, intimacy, love, play, humour, introspection, meditation, ... Everyone can benefit from a couple of really close friendships, outside of any intimate relationship. The kind of friendship were you can talk about just about anything, without fear or shame or doubt. The kind of friendship where you can laugh and cry and have fun and tickle each other. The kind…

There is an industry around circumcisions that makes lots of money. Jews and Muslims also promote circumcision for moral reasons, since they want to reduce the pleasure of sex. Because of these conflicts of interests, there are a lot of lies and propaganda around circumcision. So I don't agree with the above claims. Stop by https://www.reddit.com/r/Intactivists/ if you would like to see more information and/or discuss.

Yeah it's a long shot, but would be great if they can pull it off. See also this thread: https://www.reddit.com/r/foreskin_restoration/comments/4dlolv/donations_request_foregen_describes_current/

Well, this is actually partially true. Check the Survey of Circumcision Harm for more information. Men are both physically and psychologically injured by circumcision. Not only is the physical sexual act more painful and less pleasurable for both partners, but when you are in a intimate relationship with someone, any psychological problems tend to surface sooner or later. Routine circumcision of babies and young men, or any genital mutilation of girls or boys, is a barbaric practice and needs to…

actually you have roughly the same number of nerves in your dick, finger, arm, or head, whether it is smaller or larger. just the density changes, not the number.

when you are young you probably won't notice that anything is "wrong". i never realized an issue until much later. but that is because we have no basis of comparison since we were maimed as infants. the head of the penis wasn't designed to be exposed all the time, since it is a mucus membrane. not only do we have much less sensation during sex than men who are uncut - just ask men who have been cut as adults - but as we get older, the head of the penis "keratinizes" - forms an thicker layer of s…

what's done is done, but we can make the future better. male genital mutilation is still being done to millions of baby boys every year. if we can raise such a fuss about female genital mutilation, aren't boys worth the same protection?

If you are going to discuss systemic anti-male issues, circumcision is worth discussing. Just like female genital mutilation, it deprives males of normal sexual function and pleasure, and also leaves trauma and psychological scars buried in the psyche. While the feminists have managed to ban FGM, MGM is still the norm in North America, and tolerated for religious reasons around the world, despite its demonstrated harm.
