My suggestion to you is to stop using "tricks" to approach girls. These things limit your opportunities. Sounds like you are avoiding doing things that are harder, but more effective, such as approaching a girl and saying "Hey, whats up?"

If you want to keep her around you gotta stay chill about this. Do not overwhelm her. Make sure to keep yourself busy by being productive and active. Hm, well I guess I misunderstood the definition of self-improvement. The way I was seeing it is that if challenged myself with these two things, as already said by koala_diarrhea above, there would be great benefits to my mind and body. I think the reason you can't progress is because you are playing games in your head and not letting yourself be you. What you should be showing is that you care about having fun.
