I train heavy 5 days a week (Arms x 2, chest, shoulders, legs/back) and do HIIT the other 2 days. Works well and I put on muscle quickly. I use weights where I can do 4 reps and the 5th rep is a challenge. I do 3 super sets per workout and 4 sets for each exercise. I supplement with Optimum Nutrition BCAA and pre workout and take vitamin D. I eat 80% Paleo and also use intermittent fasting (I eat lunch at 2pm and dinner at 8pm). No breakfast or snacks or protein powder crap. Only real food. That…

Yep you're right. I used to keep score all the time without knowing I was - and that pissed her the fuck off.

The former more than the latter I think. But how would that get her control? Or is her hamster just fucked?

Because we are drawn to love by making other people happy. Even at the cost of our own happiness. It stems from our childhood. My dad beat the shit out of me. I protected my mom by being a punching bag so she didn't have to be. Her being happy was my happiness We are broken. It's all in the books if you read them. I carried that into my marriage 20 years later. So have you. The sidebar is our friend. I'm reading as much as I can. So should you.

OK my first update here. Here goes... Lifting: 4 days per week, plus 3 HIIT sessions, so in the gym 7 days per week. Have for years, love it. A conscious focus the last few weeks of increasing intensity, not just going through the motions. Aim is sub 15% body fat by Dec 31st - currently around 17%. Work: new business going well, launching in 6 weeks after 1 year of work to get the product developed, hire the initial team, etc. Family: kids always amazing. Learning to handle shit tests from the w…

Thanks. Any ideas on how to encourage her to either see a doctor (for blood tests) or a psychologist? I figure it I go ahead and just make an appointment for her, she'll tell me to fuck off and say nothing is wrong...

I was drinking with my buddies 3-4 nights a week and building my first company working from 10am-3am in the morning, so basically out 7 nights a week, drunk most of the time, screwing a bunch of chicks, etc. I get what you mean, but I'm not going back to that stuff. I hated myself and was overweight. Now I'm in the gym 7 days a week, read a lot (especially here), spend time with my wife+kids, hang out with buddies 2-3 times a week, etc.

/u/88Will88 Nope she doesn't work. Always too tired to work blah blah even though we BOTH get up to our 2 year old during the night plus she's sleeping through most nights. Plus my wife naps EVERY day. I'm talking 7 days a fucking week. And I'm meant to work my shit around her nap. I feel like I'm running a day care center. Almost at the point of wondering why I bother. I worked my ASS off for 10 years to create wealth (started well before her), provide for her, love her, look after our kids as …

Out of all those she cleans the house (also has a cleaner) and raises our kids but has a nanny for help and has said "I hate being a mother" about 3 times in the last year. I'm around a LOT as well. I do everything on that list to a huge degree as well. She's in bed by 8pm every night, whenever we talk she tries to argue and shit test. I LOVE my kids but I'm struggling to see anything good in my wife. This is years in the making and not new but I'm realising I'm selling myself short to be honest…

Broken a few months - door wasn't staying up when it was opened. Honestly it just never occurred to me to fix it because I've been busy with more high-priority stuff. Fixed the tightening on the door hinge so it stays at 45 degrees when opened instead of going all the way down.

Does that mean responsible for 100% of it being done (i.e. plan, delegate, etc) or are you saying actually DO 100% of the tasks? I assume the former, but just checking...

Great question. Up until a week ago (after reading the books suggested here) I would respond back at her in the same way - angry/negatively - "I'm doing EVERYTHING and ALL you can do is be negative". Started to stop that and how kiss the kids, say goodbye and walk out peacefully once everything is done and try to ignore/down play her negativity...
