Yep. And if you mention this sub you’re likely to be banned from the sub you mention it in. There is such an “accepted” view that this subreddit is sexist, misandrist and toxic that people just parrot it back rather than use their own brains in deciding whether it is or not.

I suppose I am lucky but every man I have been with has never pressured me into sex or asked when we were going to have sex. Men willing to wait for it is really hot and so anyone else can get lost.

Bless you. Too good to be true needs to mean he seems to have EVERYTHING you want in a man and he appears to be a HVM with no red flags. Of course we must keep vetting just in case we miss a red flag. What I am trying to say is, Queen, your idea of “too good to be true” needs to go way up so you don’t fall for a NVM just because he is better than previous guys you’ve dated. The bar is your perfect man, not men you’ve been with before. All the best to you. 💚

Yes, I wasn’t sure what the “too good to be true” part was exactly. A car, no matter how nice, is inconsequential, and a job is the bare minimum. A job working for one’s family may be fine but can also be an indicator of nepotism and sometimes people who have had jobs handed to them can be very entitled. There’s not one green flag here and just a list of red flags.

What an idiot he is. I find the angrier they are the more hurt they are that you saw through them. I am INTJ, by the way, and would never/have never acted like this so I think it’s because he is a man. Scrotes be scroting permanently… 🙄🤡

When men have to neg women like that rather than just speaking to them it just shows they are insecure and have no confidence in their ability to have women interested in them for their personality. Negging women is the biggest indicator of insecurity to me and that is not attractive.

I agree with your comments. Just one point about the gross detail you mentioned: I thought that gross detail was only written in to confirm something another character was asking about, if you catch my drift (sorry, I don’t know how to hide spoilers on Reddit so hopefully I am being vague but you understand what I am referring to) and therefore simultaneously showed their lack of morals but also resolved a plot point.

Yes, I completely agree; they were the real gganbu. And I also agree that the Han Minyeo character does force one to realise how some women might be in these sorts of situations (capitalistic countries) is really not the root of evil. And she was the only woman who acted as she did. And yes, I was also thinking of that episode where they were trying to exclude the “weaker” ones from the teams as exploring their prejudices. And by the end, the protagonist feels far emotionally closer to Kang Sae-…

I really enjoyed the series and I have finished the whole thing. I didn’t like the woman being hit either but that’s not a continuing theme at all. It’s an interesting show exploring capitalism and how our society views people suffering/struggling as entertainment. I can’t think of any other shows covering these themes. It also shows sexism too in one of the games. There’s one sex scene but then there is no male gaze or anything like that in the rest of the show. The amount of shows I have seen …

Aw, poor you, that’s such a shame. I feel quite blessed that all the women I have worked with have been both confident and nurturing women. The solicitor I worked under when I was a legal assistant was hilarious and taught me to take no shit. She used to laugh at the men on the other side of cases. A guy from law school who I didn’t like in seminars, surprise surprise ended up qualifying into asset and wealth management… 🙄 And for example, my current BF worked in Education Law when I met him and…

That’s good 😊 As long as you don’t do the more commercial type areas of law you should be fine, or rather there won’t be proportionately more sociopaths than in any other line of work. All the best. 💚

There are over 50% women attorneys (we call them solicitors in the UK) where I work too.

I’m a solicitor (attorney) in the UK and I have never experienced sociopathic tendencies from my colleagues. In my experience, it really depends on the area of law you’re practicing in. I have always worked in local government law where no one has any need to be cut throat. So it’s worth considering that.

My other half is too but the majority of men in the UK are so it’s not to do with that. For me it wasn’t to do with him poking around where he shouldn’t either; it was the bacteria in the semen itself travelling to a full bladder where it can then multiply, whereas if you have an empty bladder it can’t do that. Just want to clarify that so women don’t assume they don’t need to pee just because a guy didn’t poke around where he shouldn’t have at any point. But yes, one can get all sorts of infect…

Erm towel down and then make sure you pee afterwards? Is it that difficult? I also don’t like this product because women might not pee afterwards because they think this solves the clean up and forget about the utility of peeing to prevent UTIs. The only time I ever got a UTI was when I didn’t pee after and ouch, I wouldn’t wish that on anyone… 😫

I’m fed up of all the name nonsense. I was born with my bio dad’s name, which was then changed to my step-father’s surname when my mum decided she didn’t want her children having a different name to her and then recently my mum divorced my step dad. I’m in a bind because I don’t like my step-father’s surname. No one ever spells it correctly; it’s long so it’s awkward for paperwork and it ties me to my step-father but it’s on all of my academic achievements and work related things. So, I have no …

It’s because gonzo porn is the most popular/frequent porn guys have seen growing up. In my day (I’m only in my early 30s) we called “choking” strangling. Because of porn and lib fems, it’s now called choking which downplays the severity of it. And slapping is also downplayed because it’s in porn and we aren’t allowed to discuss how it’s wrong lest we be called kinkshamers. 🙄Oh the horror! Yes, I agree! Some men can be good with Aurelius’ quotes and some can be awful. It’s what they do with it, so it being on their bookshelf doesn’t say anything either way, whereas I would argue a male having anything by Jordan Peterson DOES tell you about him… 🤡 I have a collection of quotes from stoics and, to add to your list, my favourite from Marcus Aurelius is: • Waste no time arguing about what a good man should be: just be one.

Totally agree! Re the sizing, I have an 8 inch girthy one with my current bf. And I know it’s that size as I actually made it hard and then measured it and he is so cool he was fine with that! 🤣 If there’s no girth to the length then it doesn’t matter much though. It FELT different to other ones I have had so there is no going back now with my preferences. What’s strange is women being demonised for this preference which actually affects their pleasure. Whereas men want big boobs or butt or what…

If it comes up in conversation/in their actions, then those men are better than right-wing men, in my opinion. But if it’s mentioned from day 1 and seems to be a personality trait, rather than something one could just see from their actions, then yes, I would be wary. This sort of thing is all over the stepparents subreddit. The amount of stepmothers used and abused like this is truly horrifying, and then you get the odd idiot who says “you knew what you were signing up for” which has got to be one of the most stupid and victim-blaming nonsense put on women. Don’t date men with kids. Been there, done that. It almost destroyed me. Yes exactly. I still consider women in other countries to be my sisters that I want to fight for; worthy of protection like my sisters in the West. The reason WHY we are critiquing other cultures should always be considered. I may happen to agree with someone right-wing on a couple of points, but we sure as sh*t aren’t in agreement for the same reasons. All it requires is some rational thought regarding intentions!

For crying out loud: why do Libfems think misogyny is only a bad thing in the West and it’s racist to call it out in other countries? I’ll tell you why, because we have the concept of only punching up and not punching down. Which is fine, I agree, but how it’s been interpreted by these people is that it means these Libfems think it is “punching down” to criticise people from other cultures being misogynistic. OK, first of all, I have never uttered the words “man up” in my entire life. I find it to be both 1. an offensive term because it implies to me more manly/masculine is the ideal, and 2. because usually people mean don’t be so weak/emotional etc. by that and I don’t necessarily (depends on context) think that’s a good thing. E.g. it’s not right to tell someone to “man up” who is upset after being abused. Secondly, even if anyone does say this, how exactly does saying this stop men from going to c…

What a fantastic post. I love how you break down each of the examples of a rise in LVM or NVM being created by the porn industry etc. how that manifests in society and its effect on women. Which is all to show why FDS is a strategy to weed out such men and other LV types and not a way to pick up such scrotes. Men don’t need to weed out women. Men are trying to manipulate women into having sex, that’s what Pick Up means. They know most women are worth having sex with in the first place. For women…

*Strangling. I want to go back to normalising the correct use of the word. Choking is what the woman does when she is strangled. It takes responsibility/focus away from the man and I think the subtle change to the word choking over the last 20 years, has partly normalised it. Because, hey, strangling is what abusers and murderers do, not “normal” people having sex, right? Exactly. We should call it like it is. Like calling strangling, strangling not choking.

That’s a very good analogy. We need to spread it far and wide so we have the counter-narrative out there rather than “left” and “center” women’s viewpoints being dominated by kinkshaming, pro-porn nonsense.

I’m so sorry. I cannot believe these things are considered normal in huge swaths of the community. I am not surprised at all that you have little to no desire. Also yes, it does seem that men being like that goes hand-in-hand with other abuse, such as the isolation from your friends that he caused. This is not something we can let go to sort itself out. I’m so sorry.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/21 11:07 AM

That’s awful. Girls and women accepting abuse has got to be one of the most heinous regressions in feminism I can think of. I’m so sorry you have experienced this.

Oh my god. A ton have done anal? AND they don’t like it but still do it? I am so so sorry for what you went through. I hope you know how incredible you are and that you deserve the world from men and nothing less.

Eurgh. You’ve hit “the wall” but they also will happily degrade you in bed?! Yeah, I’ve hit the wall at 31 too. 😂 I can’t handle this. I’ve never experienced what’s in the article but it sounds like I will if I start dating again. At least I know it’s not normal but, god, to have to be mindful of these things now is sickening…
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/21 10:26 AM

Yes, and hopefully with articles like this we can stop conflating anti-porn with being anti-sex. We are not anti sex, we are anti violence! Let’s take back the narrative from pickmes, libfems and MRAs. One wants to please men, the next thinks we have to work within the structure we already have instead of changing it and the last wants pleasure for themselves. None of these have both change and women’s interests in mind. We need to take back the narrative!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/21 08:21 AM
66

Definitely. We used to call this sort of behaviour domestic abuse, now we call it “kinky” so boys are growing up thinking it’s OK. And totally agree re Gail Dines etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy05/08/21 07:50 AM
35

It can only be older people who have no idea about how extreme porn is warping young kids’ minds. So they just blame it on how each boys or girls are without stopping to think WHY they are like that. Yes, it’s the most pervasive inhumane thing I have heard of in recent years. I was tearing up reading it. I can’t believe this is “how it is”. As in, I can and do believe it but I am so despondent and upset about it.

May I ask how old you are? I’m a millennial woman who hasn’t been in the dating scene for 13 years as I went from a long term relationship to another. I am honestly shocked at the pervasiveness of this and that many young women and even girls think this is normal. I feel somewhat lucky in that if I were to date again I could directly compare it to my previous experiences and see it is wrong but I am so saddened that some women think this is normal. I’m so sorry you have been through this. I’m a millennial woman who luckily has never experienced this. My heart aches for my sisters who have known this sort of treatment their whole dating lives, or have known this at all. You deserve so much more. Same, but a family member shared this with me and I had a look. It’s worth a read even if you don’t read anything else from the site again (and I won’t). It has stats like young women are expected to give oral before they receive their first kiss. It’s evidence of what exposure to porn and including “kink-shaming” as a concept will end up warping young boys’ minds and how women are then victimised.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy04/08/21 11:51 PM

I’m not a Daily Mail reader but why is a tabloid looking into this and not the government? Why have we let society get to this point? These poor young women, my heart breaks for them, porn is destroying the idea of healthy relationships. The stories in this article were utterly shocking and revolting.

Definitely a scam, yes. And one that was easily sown in society because older men mostly still own the media/tv/film etc. so they can control the narrative either through the “news” or fiction. And then it becomes a commonly held belief. I’m glad spaces like this exist so we can say how it really is and at least attempt to put a counter-narrative out there.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy03/08/21 07:53 PM

I was in an age gap relationship at one point, and he used to say I must be “into older men”. I made a point of saying “no, I’m into you. A man without baggage would make for a far easier life”. I also made a point when we met other couples, when it was relevant in conversation, that I just liked HIM but didn’t like the age gap. I didn’t want men getting silly ideas that loads of younger women might be into them, and that would carry them, whatever their personality. 🙄 Now when asked, I make it …

I wish I had heard a story like that growing up to stop me landing in similar situations! All these different types of scrote stories are excellent warnings.

I have read the opposite. That there is a tiny amount of pee in it, in a similar way there is a tiny amount of pee in pre-cum due to the shared “plumbling” if you will. I squirted with a vibrator and it definitely wasn’t pee because it smelt of nothing, came out very quickly, rather than at a leisurely pace like peeing and there was no stain on the bed at all, it was like water. I totally agree. Any man that preys on women automatically loses the ability for his wealth or looks to be considered HV. He then ought to be considered LV. Us women shouldn’t feed into him being able to flex looks or wealth with abandon, which is what that post was saying. Also if a man is preying on women then if you want to talk about “leagues” he is actually lower than the woman as most women are kind and kindness is a HV trait. Yeah people should look after themselves but adding in leagues …

Yep, you’re right on the pervasive myths point. We need to remove our “natural” a.k.a society-induced inclination to educate men on matters of respect, wrongly thinking it will make a difference. It’s a matter of has a man been brought up correctly. It’s hard to change people’s values and we need to see how men treat women as an insight into their values. It’s not about providing them with facts. They are considerate men or they’re not. And if they’re not we don’t go near them.

I understand what you’re saying. You, as a woman, don’t want to have children (that’s also how I feel currently too) and so you just want another reason to give to men to not go with 50/50. You understand and agree it shouldn’t be 50/50 but because LVM somehow have to be told about reproductive issues making it higher risk for women before they can even begin to understand why it shouldn’t be 50/50, where does that leave us child-free women? It would just be nice for us to have something else to…

First of all: red flag. Second, if it’s not a red flag for some reason, I would answer, “no one I have found has been good enough”. I hate that our society says if a woman is single there must be something wrong with her rather than the men she has met. I sort of understand what you’re trying to say but when we do this to women from our culture too, we are also “shaming” them. We grew up in a patriarchy too and usually, when we became aware of pickmeism, we were able to take steps to move away from that behaviour. Unfortunately, this lady saying things like that may influence other Muslim ladies. Yes and Ted Bundy later admitted in prison that he had come across violent pornography as a child. And, violent pornography wasn’t as prevalent back then as it is now we have the internet. He was judged for that. Today, we call this sh.t a “kink”. When I was a law undergrad (UK) we learned of the R v Brown case which basically stated one cannot consent to bodily harm (this was from 1993). I believe (though I’m not in Criminal law practice specifically now) that the new Domestic Abuse Act will restate the above case law and also make it clear someone cannot consent to bodily harm or consent to something that leads to their own death. Absolutely spot on! You’re right, it being a sort of religion is why it’s so difficult. It takes a good few counter examples and seeing the world for yourself before one can shake it off. Yes, I never understood this Libfem idea of objectifying yourself more than the patriarchy is objectifying you, as empowering. Like how? You’re giving misogynists more of what they want without them asking for it. And then the men want more and more as they get used to it. 10 years ago you didn’t have music videos like this. And unfortunately it’s just mainstream now. It’s also really upsetting that it’s many black women when, as another poster commented, they are studying STEM subjects in recor…

Edited your comment but OK, I’ll respond to your edited comment. Patronised is most likely exactly how each woman you responded to on this thread felt by you.

So so strange! But also, good on you 😄 Edit: For the butt progress by the way, not for scrotes looking at your butt only. Sorry if that wasn’t clear and sounded strange!

Exactly! And I don’t know how old you are but when I was a kid in the 90s, everyone wanted the smallest butt possible. “Does my butt look big in this?” was a common phrase. And now people get butt implants and do exercises specifically for growing their butt. “Body fashion” or whatever we call it, is wild!

It’s a very good message to love yourself as you are. I remember wanting huge lips a few years ago. One of my friends admitted she had had hers done for years (before I met her) and I was surprised. I bought one of those lip plumpers as a way of seeing what my lips would look like if I had them done. And they looked awful! They didn’t fit my face, they lost shape and they made my eyes look tiny. I then realised I had a lovely little cupids bow on my lips, my lips fit my small face, and I just ca…

I thought you didn’t get it but you did edit your post so your wording wasn’t as vulgar, so it seems you do understand the point about how you express yourself to a fellow sister.

Yeah you’re right. She’s victim blaming in the guise of being “logical” about a situation. 🙄

I love stories like this! Justice against men being hateful to women. Thank you for sharing.😊

I love hearing stories of women helping each other too. It really lifts me up and keeps me determined to help. Yep, the narrative is never “men do better”, it’s “not all men” and “women protect yourself”. Erm, I think women know to protect themselves and definitely pick and choose their battles!

WOW, the effort these scrotes have gone to to discredit FDS by making a whole new sub pretending to be linked to FDS and creating whole new users to create “content” for it!! One of the most active users there only joined reddit on 26 May this year. Come on now. Can it be closed down somehow for pretending to have an affiliation to FDS? Sorry, not really sure if I am suggesting something that can’t be done.

Without exception, every single dangerous situation I have been in on the road has been with a man. They have unjustified confidence in their abilities and it causes them to drive erratically and without any care. The one accident I had was a truck coming on to my side of the road, him not realising how long his vehicle is and smashing the front of my car to the side. POS had the audacity to say to the insurance company that I caused the accident but luckily a woman witness saw it all and vouche…

There certainly aren’t many libfems in this sub. I’ll repeat, in a slightly different way this time: you’re rude for how you expressed yourself and this comment is even worse.

So two men are allowed to scream at her and she can’t merely flip them off? Come on.

This is brilliant! Great job. I have already linked it to two friends who I hope will join this subreddit. Also “passive aggressive when you don’t immediately reply to them”

You strong, amazing young woman! Once you had the information you up and left him. What a queen. As others have said, you are so young and yet have so much knowledge about LVM that you’re going to end up with a lot less hardship than many of us women here have had to endure because we were quite a bit older before we “saw the light”. That Pickmeisha is going to have a few years of never being picked by your ex and feeling terribly unhappy for letting men walk all over her. So I agree, it is real…

I’m a lawyer (in the UK) and here at least being a lawyer doesn’t indicate whether the man is likely to be a psychopath or not, but rather, what AREA of law they practice in does. For example, inner-city London firms that pay lots of money and are ruthless in their goal to make their clients money- yes, likely psychopaths. Local government lawyers (like me) who have gone into the area because they shun that sort of cutthroat environment and want to do good with their skills/are politically cogni…

Great points. It’s about equity not equality. That’s why 50/50 split can never make sense.
