So why aren’t you stepping up and be the change you want to see. Appreciate your dad and plan something for him, the make your family attend. How about thanking him yourself. Don’t complain take action because it is so easy.

This post is just looking for something to complain about.

Then you thank them for providing an example of rape culture and how society diminishes certain victims and kinds of rape. Then call them a rape apologist and say they are simply trying to normalize sexual abuse by certian perpetrators.

I honestly think that some women can just tell when you’re just kissing their ass and putting on act and when you’re being genuine. Maybe you would be in such a kiss ass that it kind of pushed them away and now that you’re being your real self it’s just more attractive.
/r/MensRights14/04/26 12:02 AM

Because they tell them what they want to hear and that’s good enough for most people. They judge them on their words and not what they actually do to them or for them. That would take too much attention span to actually follow through.

Ok bud we all know he didn't invent it but he is the guy who just got us into a war and he is fingerbanging the option of using it now. Because apparently when you go to war with Veneuzela, Iran, and maybe Greenland for some reason you might have a troop shortage.

I think some people can’t tell the difference between regular housework and picking up your own damn shit. I think if a lot of people just learn to pick up their own damn shit it wouldn’t be like such a burden. It’s when you have to clean up after your partner like you do after your child that’s when it starts to feel like bullshit.

Of course, all the time there are some real pieces of shit out there. That being said there are some women who are real pieces of shit too. It just kind of manifests a little different based on gender.

Or they could lose their job because their religious nut job thinks all gays are evil because their pastor said so. That’s that’s the edge you dance on. It’s totally worth it with the right woman. That being said too many men do it too early in their lives and they end up with the wrong person or they end up changing who they are just through personal growth. My advice is wait until you’re at least 30 and you’ve had more experience with life and no better what you want out of it. At that point you’ll be much better at picking someone who’s compatible with your goals

Dude, the fundamental problem is is that men are more likely to be willing to put up with shit from your ex in order to have sex with her then women will put up with your shit to have sex with you. Men just have a lot fewer requirements when it comes to having meaningless sex with someone. I’m not sure how men being willing to lower their standards more is the fault of women. /r/MensRights25/03/25 09:10 PM

You realize the only reason the term feminazi exists is because Rush Limbaugh came up with it in the 80s and it had nothing to do with them being actual Nazis. It was just a catchy term. Now this is some good actual men’s rights content. Paternity leave is a huge issue if we won to be equal parents to women. What I wanna know is why is this sub red so obsessed with this? I read more about it on this sub than any other sub in fact, all of Reddit combined, including the women’s subs. I don’t understand why this offends people so much since this is just women going their own way.

I love the idea that virginity is worth anything it just makes my old ass laugh and laugh in reality. Virginity means absolutely nothing in the grand scheme of things. It was just a stupid concept. We made up to keep kids from having sex to too early. Your virginity in an old sack is worth exactly the value of an old sack. getting rid of it or maintaining it there’s just so much dumb pressure about a concept that no one gives a shit about when you’re not a kid anymore.

This trial was about non-payment of support not establishing or removing paternity that's why it was refereed to the lower court. The prosecutor in this situation doesn't have the authority to revoke the order for support ,just go after him for not payment And they needed a lower courts ruling to remove that order.

/r/MensRights30/07/24 02:01 PM
5

So, if you're considering the Passport Bro option, definitely go for it. You won't regret it. No man I don't think I will. The only reason these women are giving you the time of day is because they are desperate and you have money. Its just prostitution with extra steps.
/r/MensRights30/07/24 01:22 PM
3

Honestly, I doubt this changes anything for anyone it just kind of clarifies that you can’t involuntarily make a woman have an abortion which is never been anything people have been able to do in a civilized society. I don’t really see the courts ordering something like that anytime soon.
/r/MensRights26/07/24 06:40 PM
6

If they were truly going their own way, anyway why would this matter to them since it’s not like they were going to be getting anyone pregnant to begin with?
/r/MensRights26/07/24 05:33 PM
3

I mean, it makes sense. What are you gonna expect the courts to strap the lady down and remove the fetus from her involuntarily?
/r/MensRights26/07/24 05:32 PM
10

It’s just a real doll with extra steps. But you do you
/r/MensRights26/07/24 01:56 PM
5

You would think that but no. I got an asexual buddy who always got abuse for not wanting sex. Apparently that made him not a real man or something. Universal rules don’t always apply.
/r/MensRights26/07/24 01:55 PM

I have actually read it and from my perspective it looks to turn the United States into a dystopian hellhole.
/r/MensRights26/07/24 12:05 PM

Oh wow so this is the least awful thing about project 2025.
/r/MensRights26/07/24 02:24 AM

The right will never allow women to be drafted. They view them too much as precious resources to protect. Excess men on the other hand are disposable.
/r/MensRights23/07/24 11:24 PM
-10

That’s not a female rule that’s just the custom. If you ask someone to do something you should pay don’t be a cheap asshole. You don’t have to take her to the nicest restaurant just go get coffee.
/r/MensRights12/07/24 06:58 PM
-9

I agree with you if I’m the person who ask them on the date I’m going to pay for it. If they asked me on the date, I would expect them to pay for it. After that, go Dutch if that’s what you want, but you shouldn’t expect someone to split the bill on a first date, when you’re the one who asked them out.
/r/MensRights12/07/24 06:39 PM
4

And women say all the good men are taken
/r/MensRights12/07/24 06:38 PM
30

Dude, asking for gas money is something I wouldn’t even do to someone who is an acquaintance of mine that I was picking up to go somewhere much less someone I wanted a relationship with. That just makes you look like a cheap asshole. They might as well take an Uber rather than ask you to drive them anywhere.
/r/MensRights12/07/24 06:37 PM
11

Sounds like this lady is just mad she didn’t marry a dumb redneck. Some people are just incapable of being happy without self sabotaging.
/r/MensRights12/07/24 12:44 PM
-2

What kind of weird ass question were you harassing that AI about in order to get an answer like that? Ask a weird question get a weird answer I guess.
/r/MensRights12/07/24 02:59 AM
-31

Yeah, then why per the article of so many of them killing themselves if they realize they don’t need women anymore?
/r/MensRights11/07/24 02:33 AM
-39

No, but they are by far the most important one. What I’m saying is these women are refusing to get married and have any children because they view marriage is so awful for them for some reason.
/r/MensRights11/07/24 02:28 AM
-44

Yeah and how is that birth rate going for them. Who would have thought pissing off the women who have children would have a disastrous effect on the population.
/r/MensRights11/07/24 01:42 AM
3

Too many people, looking to attach blame rather than figure out actual implementable solutions to the problems. Too much focus on blaming feminists for our problems and not enough focus trying to be the change we want to see.

PPD has a major hormonal element that doesn't exist in normal depression and makes it more acute and volatile.
/r/MensRights07/06/24 02:34 AM
-2

Well the thing is that there are actual hormone and neurotransmitter levels that can be measured here. This isn't normal depression there is actual evidence here that your brain chemistry can go wackadoo after having a baby.
/r/MensRights07/06/24 01:40 AM
2

PPD is real as shit man. That massive switch in hormone levels after having a baby really can do a number on some women. I have seen this myself and as soon as they get help they go back to normal. Sure like anything some people can abuse the diagnosis but most don't and they need help for their sake and the rest of the family.
/r/MensRights06/06/24 04:41 PM
12

Did you also get the old "all men only care about sex, they don't care where they get it or who they get it from. Because of that their consent is implied and doesn't matter. Also since men don't have feeling you cant hurt them"
/r/MensRights04/06/24 03:42 AM

Escape from an abusive family. Dad and mom were controlling monsters who told him he was always going to be stuck with them in their small town. Dude figured out Uncle Sam was the one guy hid dad could not bully around and he got out with the clothes on his back. Army provided him with a chance at a life, and he never looked back.
/r/MensRights04/06/24 01:20 AM
1

I am confused why are you completely ignoring all the Russian men who are also being forced by their leaders to fight in that war. Why do you only seem to want to look at half the picture. There are hundreds of thousands of men being forced to invade a peaceful country because one piece of crap at the top wanted to rebuild the Soviet Union. There are 2 sides here are both are throwing men into the meat grinder for political reasons.
/r/MensRights02/06/24 01:33 AM

Passport boys are gross for a whole host of other reasons.

I am pretty sure ha in a boss isn’t exclusive to men.
/r/MensRights24/05/24 12:31 PM

I mean most just want to be able to make their own decisions about their lives without anyone telling them what they are allowed to do or can’t do. That’s now too crazy of a desire for anyone.

Wait do you actually believe that men who see women as equals are just simps who are trying to get laid?
/r/MensRights11/03/24 01:00 PM
1

Well that rampant alcoholism among men, especially once they have a lot of time on their hands is a big factor why they die so early. Its horrible how common it among men by the time they reach old age. Hard living and a lot of mileage keeps life expectancy low.
/r/MensRights10/03/24 07:20 PM

Who wouldn’t like that leave to spend time with their baby.

/r/MensRights22/02/24 10:23 PM

Yes because only the top 10% of men can find women. That's the kind of thought you have to just justify not bothering to try.

It definitely is a thing.
/r/MensRights17/02/24 02:01 AM

Step 1 Men truly giving a shit. Step 2 Use step 1 do demand change. That's how I would start. If we cant sympathies and respect ourselves how can we expect others to.

People (men and women) not giving a shit about what happens to men.

/r/MensRights19/12/23 10:22 PM

And convicted on what No, convicted "beyond a reasonable doubt" just like the courts require for criminal convictions. That's how accusations turn into convictions. People in this sub don't seem to understand how our court system works.
/r/MensRights15/12/23 01:48 PM
3

Convicted People go-to prison. We don't put Accused in the penitentiary until after Conviction. They stay in Jail until their assigned hearing but not many people know that distinction my dude. I am glad somebody understood my point. If you are going to make claims about something then they should at least be correct.
/r/MensRights15/12/23 02:50 AM

Accused people don’t go to prison, convicted people go to prison.
/r/MensRights15/12/23 12:49 AM

That’s not a good thing. The manosphere is just a bunch of fucking shysters. Looking to take advantage of confused and lost men. There’s a huge difference between improving the rights of men and that bullshit. Unfortunately, a lot of people can’t tell the difference and it becomes just another thing used to make men look like a bunch of idiots. Learning how to be a man from those guys is like learning to be a doctor in clown college.
/r/MensRights05/12/23 06:58 PM

/r/MensRights20/11/23 06:40 PM

Because this sub spends more time tearing other people down than building their members up.
/r/MensRights20/11/23 03:14 PM

Yet I can't deny it worked for many people I know.
/r/MensRights07/11/23 02:37 PM

Making them take the time to initiate the first contact seemed to produce better results than the other methods. I know 2 guys who have met their wives there in the least 4 years. I have not heard any success from other sites in like a decade.
/r/MensRights07/11/23 02:15 PM
-10

That's too bad I know a lot of people who met their spouses on bumble. Making the women make the first move seemed to cut down on a lot of the noise of dating sites. I like the concept of putting the burden of the initial contact on the woman.
/r/MensRights07/11/23 01:42 PM

Trolls, so damn many trolls. Mostly just board people looking to get a rise out of people being too serious. So many trolls. So yeah I get why they are so restrictive, but they always get too restrictive and become sources of misandry because there are only the most radical voices allowed by the mods.

Yes they do when they register with the patriarchy in order to have permission to study men. its all part of the standard patriarchy grant process. So you can be assured that everyone knows for a fact that this study says exactly what they think it says.

/r/MensRights06/08/23 07:33 PM

Man this barbie advertising is really good at getting attention. They are just churning out rage bait and people keep falling for it, and that then allows people complain about it and then there is more hype about the movie. Just don't engage if its something that bothers you.
/r/MensRights06/08/23 06:03 PM

Good for them. People change and life plans change. No one should have to spend their life with someone who make them miserable. Like the old attorney saying goes "Why is divorce so expensive? Because its worth it."
/r/MensRights05/08/23 08:09 PM

As long as both partners agree on the division of labor they they should be able to do what they want. i would say that is what we are all working towards.

In that situation that girl had been going on that trip her whole life and now was being kicked out. That's not really a good example of what you are saying. Please just stop. The last thing you want to do is give Madonna any attention or act offended. Just ignore her and the lack of attention will make her go away for another decade. She has been doing this shtick since the 80s, and its just how she tries to stay relevant. Don't feed the beast.

Because from an outside perspective they just look like two groups who sit around and endlessly complain about women. They rarely talk about men's issues or being single by choice but instead just go on and on about how awful women are. It doesn't take much to come to that conclusion just visiting the subreddits and looking at the headlines can give that impression.

Women tell it to men, men tell it to women, parents tell it to kids, etc. Basically everyone says it as a way of trying to encourage you to not give up. Looks do matter but they are hardly the most important thing in a long term relationship. Looks do matter a lot during your initial interactions. Perhaps instead of hearing this and getting mad and bitter because the advice is not accurate you could take it as what it is and that is encouragement to keep getting yourself out there.
/r/MensRights22/05/23 01:43 PM

Watch Bluey sometimes it’ll make you feel better. That Bandit Heeler is one hell of a real man and a father. If you want a positive male role model for kids, he’s the man or Dog. I remember the first time I watched it the show was like a breath of fresh air.

Yeah, unfortunately menslib is kind of shitty too because unless you subscribe to a particular type of feminism, any opinions you have that are outside of that little box will get you banned from there. Lord help you if you don’t believe the concept of patriarchy, or the other trappings of academic feminism. At least you don’t have to deal with the women bashing their as long as you’re OK with a little self-loathing. That place can read more like a women’s guide how men need to change to be less…

Companionship, love, affection, support, a best friend, someone to help you when you are down, someone to care for and have that reciprocated. A cuddlebuddy, a support system, someone to watch movies and go out to do activities with. A mother of my kid, a reason to be the best me I can be. Its interesting how much the question shows that you believe that sex with a spouse is purely transactional, and that the only thing a man gets from a relationship is sex. If that's how your relationship is then you need to find another partner and change your outlook on life.

He should have done the responsible thing and gotten a vasectomy, instead he relied on his wife to handle the birth control when he knew she wanted another child. He should have taken responsibility in the one way he could have with permanent sterilization once he was done with kids.

I don't know the fact that not getting into relationships has somehow become their identity is what makes me skeptical of the whole thing. Then when I go in their spaces and I see that all they do is talk about women that really makes me just dismiss the whole "movement" aspect of it.

Really you may think it’s possible that the men might wanna overthrow the totalitarian religious government that’s been opressing everyone there for the last 50 years? That’s so generous of you to throw them a bone like that. Perhaps these are men who just want to increase rights for everyone that the current government is denying them and this doesn’t have anything to do with gender just people fighting to be free of oppression.
/r/MensRights26/09/22 03:34 PM

Apparently everyone should just become a hermit isolate themselves from these horrible women and just survive on bitterness alone. What a bleak and said outlook to have on life. I’d rather take a chance and have a good life with a great companion then worry about the statistics and spend my life hiding from the world.

Why not both causes? It's a complicated issue.
/r/MensRights14/03/21 02:41 PM

Honestly men should be more worried about being sexually assaulted by women rather than falsely accused by them. Far more men have been sexually assaulted and then are willing to admit it. Those numbers are much higher than people realize because of significant under reporting. Compared to that false accusations that get to the point where a man is harmed are far less common.
/r/MensRights13/03/21 08:26 PM

My question is how can you prove the difference between a false accusation and a real rape accusation where you just don’t get a conviction?

I never said it’s a bad thing. Unfortunately sometimes people are too easily swayed by this new information and the new information isnt helpful. I don't particularly care though. I am just pointing out a fact. I am in no way criticizing just stating the obvious. You go to a sub thinking it is going to be about men and almost every post is something about women. Its hard to take it seriously when that is how it looks. Its like going to a sub about men who ride bicicles and every article is about those assholes in cars and how much car people suck.
/r/MensRights03/02/20 03:36 PM

I’m just saying if you wanna go your own way you don’t need to hold a fucking discussion group on it and constantly talk about the thing that you’re trying to supposedly avoid. I know plenty of men who went the wrong way but didn’t have to join a fucking group where they can circle jerk about how much women suck. There is no epidemic and I bet you anything the numbers have probably stayed the same. What is increasing is the amount of reporting happening and people are actually a lot more willing to go to with authorities to report these rapes. I guess that means there’s probably progress being made with the concepts that men can be raped.

How about we just say you're an asshole for saying any of those kind of things and leave it at that. It's like people around here can't wait to stoop to the shitty level and sometimes go even further like one groups bad behavior will excuse their own bad behavior.

men are more willing to compromise with joint custody and women want sole custody. Well that's a pretty big generalization right there and was not my experience when I dealt with family law. But that was incredibly dependent on the circumstances of the cases I saw.

That does not mean that it is not standard procedure for parents who do not live near each other to not petition for sole custody. If anything Brad petition is more unusual, but he also has the luxury of being able to afford a lot of travel for him or his kids. Most parents can pay for that level of travel that's why its so common to try and get full custody in this kind of situation. Ah yes mandatory minimum sentences another failed crime policy from the 90s coming back. What if funny is that they are working on removing them from much of the criminal justice system because they are such a poor policy, but I guess the crime of rape is different some how.

After reading the press release it seem pretty obvious that the case had little to no merit at all. It is very unusual for a prosecutor to do a press release like this but after the sideshow that this case became I am guessing they though it was appropriate to break with protocol. I would take over the small group with friends to get into leadership positions and then use your positions to shift the focus of the group from what they had originally intended to what the students would want for the group. If the students want to change the direction they would have a tough job stopping it. You don't have to talk about what they want you to talk about, once you control the group you get to dictate the message.

/r/MensRights01/10/14 08:00 PM

The whole concept of patriarchy is simply a mechanism for the removal of responsibility for the role of women in in the status quo of society. How can they have any responsibility for gender roles if society is completely run by men for only their benefit and women have no agency to effect it in any way. Its simple a way to blame all the problem of society on men and remove responsibility from women. If you want to keep believing in the boogey man thats your prerogative.

/r/MensRights05/08/14 05:29 PM

Why thats fairly simple. Up until around WWI women were not common around military units in combat ever. Then when much of this legislation for selective service was enacted women were only allowed around combat in medical and some support but were far from combat troops. Women were only recently judged fit by the military for front line combat and that is still a work in progress. The selective service laws were written to specify men only and have not been updated to reflect the new military r…

/r/MensRights23/06/14 04:45 PM

Its hardly shocking when you consider how little protection they had in the past. It is amazing how fast the social and legal factors have changed in the last few years. There is a lot of momentum in the right direction with DOMA being struck down, states passing marriage equality laws or having prohibitions being struck down by judges. Legally things are progressing sow while there are still a lot of issues today legally and socially things are heading in the right direction.
/r/MensRights23/06/14 04:38 PM

This is a very juvenile comment. Coming from a troll thats an interesting statement.
/r/MensRights23/06/14 03:25 PM

They can do this because a case like that involving homosexuals has not come to the Supreme Court yet (post-DOMA). Also my con law is a little rusty but I don't believe homosexuals are considered a protected class so a lesser level of scrutiny is used. I think this will likely change when the right case goes before the supremes, especially if more and more states are headed in that direction.

I'm not even sure why you are bringing up these precieved issues. But they if you just want to keep ranting away go ahead.

This is actual the best post I have seen in this sub in a long time. I states the issues and doesn't just devolve into the usual "boooooo feminism" mess that makes up most of this subbreddit. No no its completely irrelevant. This is entertainment news and has nothing to do with working towards a more equal society or addressing the issuers faced by men.

You can't get anymore pro-men's rights than anti-feminism. Thats just sad. If feminism went away there would still be plenty of gender roles out there that harm men that would not go away. Talk about simple minded thinking. You clearly see feminism as some sort of boogeyman that you can blame for all your problems. That seems exactly like how feminism uses patriarchy as a universal blame for all their problems.
/r/MensRights02/10/13 09:37 PM
4

Nice hissy fit there. So much for respectful dialog. I understand that there are some feminists that do some pretty evil shit but this place is called mens rights not antifeminisim. This place has become more of a bitchfest about feminism and bad feminists than it is about improving the lives of men through the abolition of outdated gender roles.
/r/MensRights02/10/13 09:24 PM

But straw women can be fought without having to actually do anything. Fighting actual issues might take work so people here stick with strawmen because they are easy.
/r/MensRights02/10/13 09:20 PM

Unfortunately that is what it has become. Rather than being a place for talking about the issues that men have this place has become a circlejerk to talk about how terrible feminism is.

Her problem is that she has nothing going on in her life so she sits around and watched the Missing White Girl Hour with Nancy Grace every day and has become convinced that men are all just predators looking to molest children. Wouldn't a better idea be to create a series of posters addressing all kinds of rape including man on man, woman on man, man on woman, and woman on woman rape as well as creating a poster for false accusations, and posting them all over campus. That way you can frame it as being an inclusive anti rape campaign talking about all kinds of rape as well as false accusations. This way you they would have a far harder time complaining about it being an attack on victims or what ever bullshit argument …

It sounds like she was a fairly attractive woman who is now dealing with the reality that everyone else has to deal with as well as the fact that she is getting old. I am sorry but this is the exact kind of post that makes Mensrights have a bad reputation. Talk about coming off like a whiny baby who cant even listen to the other side of an issue. Posts like the make me realize that this isn't really a place for mens rights advocates to promote change, its just a place for bitter angry people to bash feminism. Don't get me wrong modern feminism is ripe for the bashing, but posts like this are just fucking childish. For fucks sakes this sounds like a SRS post …

The problem is that you have medical doctors prescribing drugs for what is essentially a psychological issue. Most Medical Doctors don't understand the disorder and do not use the correct tests for diagnosis of ADD or ADHD. They just see that the kids are hyper and prescribe meds without any testing or therapy for learning coping mechanisms (behavior training not medication)
/r/MensRights01/04/13 08:53 PM

That would be childish and counter productive. Mens Rights needs to be more active in pursuing our rights, no just be reactive to criticisms. Until the movements actually accomplishes something then its not really a movement. Trolling blogs is not accomplishing anything.

Suriously how the fuck do you know so much about this guys life that you can make such a blanked assumption? Simple you cant and you are just completely taking out of your ass here. There isn't nearly enough information for you to lay the blame solely at the mothers feet when you have no idea who this kid was and what issues drove him to suicide. Hey if people want to waste their time going after facebook posts and rude things individuals say then thats fine if they want to waste their time on that. Ok answer me this does it make more sense for the police to go around using all their time going after petty infractions like jawalking, parking tickets, littering, and loitering, or would you rather them use their time going after bigger issues like finding murderers, crime prevention, kidnappings etc. The point is there is only so much energy and resources to go around so doesn't it make more sense to spend that effort on the big issues rather than wasting your time going after numerous petty …

You have summed up exactly why I don't come around here that often. Too many bitter and angry people ranting against petty issues and insults and few if any actual open discussions about issues relevant to mens rights. This place has just seemed to turn into a massive circlejerk.
/r/MensRights25/10/12 02:59 PM

We are too busy attacking feminism on the internet than talking about actual issues like this. It is far easier to just circlejerk than to take actual action.
/r/MensRights10/10/12 01:14 PM

Maybe their idea is that the more subreddits they control the more their opinions are validated. Pretty sad when you think about it.
/r/MensRights20/09/12 09:06 PM

So basically you went into a feminist discussion group, gave them a lot of data that challenged their beliefs and you were shocked at the circlejerk defending feminism that ensued. What sort of outcome were you expecting? Did you think they would be like 'wow I never knew that i was so wrong about something I am so passionate about". Come on man that like going into a church and talking to the church choir about why they should all be atheists.
/r/MensRights13/09/12 07:45 PM

As long as people disagree then yes we do. Unless you want this to turn into a complete circlejerk like srs or feminisims where only the hivemind opinions can be heard then you need to hear opposing viewpoints. This is a discussion group and if all everyone does is agree with each other then whats the point.
/r/MensRights30/08/12 07:13 PM

It would likely not be a hate crime because she didn't accuse someone specific. If the police had arrested some suspects and she had then accused them of the crime then it would be a better case for a hate crime. But because it never got to that point she was more likely to be accused to filing a false report. She will likely have to pay the city back for the cost of the search, some punitive fine, and some time spent in jail depending on the local laws.
/r/MensRights22/08/12 03:37 PM

There are restrictions on many of the "rights" people have. The most common example would be shouting fire in a crowded theater. One of the most common overrides is for issues of national security. When national security is an issue the courts will often give deference to the legislature and executive. In this case the draft would likely be considered vital to national security so selective service requirements could limit the right to vote to people who have regestered.
/r/MensRights19/08/12 03:23 PM

Well if she is treated differently because of her gender then it might be appropriate for here. But currently there is no unequal treatment and she is being prosecuted in accordance with the law. Just because you believe that they might treat her different doesn't make it a news story until she is treated differently. As of right now this is just another case of a woman committing murder against a man and how she is now being prosecuted.
/r/MensRights13/08/12 06:56 PM

This is not a mens rights issue. This is simply a case of a homicide committed by a woman against a man for which she was promptly arrested and prosecuted.

Its funny because people around here way over estimate their speech rights on this site. In the end you have no speech rights here because it is a privately owned for profit site. In the end you have no speech rights other than the ones reddit gives you and they reserve the right to do what ever they want with the site. They just choose not to exercise their control over the site except for issues that would threaten their reason for being and that is advertising revenues.

While it is not clear that that is the case in the article it certainly is true. I believe what the article is trying to show is that there is a new trend where the number of women paying is increasing relative to where it was before. This makes me wonder why more MR advocated don't support bringing back the ERA. The ERA would make treating either gender uniquely illegal. It would resolve many of the current major MR issues by eliminating government sponsored gender inequality in issues like military service, paternity leave, scholarships, gender quotas, etc. It would eliminate many of these perceived advantages that women may have. I am curious what other people here think.

I submitted this article because I saw it over in /twox and started thinking about how this could effect men and realized that this amendment could actually have some positive benefits to me. The amendment reads: "Equality of rights under the law shall not be denied or abridged by the United States or by any State on account of sex." This opens up some interesting possibilities for the MR movement because the amendment could be used to attack any law that discriminates on the basis of gender. Th…

Who cares let them have their little circlejerk. All this means is that I wont be donating to the SPLC any more. I used to have tremendous respect for Morris Dees and his organization but this convinced me to cut ties with the organization. Once they lost their ability to tell the difference between a hate group and a organization looking to advocate for a groups rights they lost me.

Its funny the lengths that some of the trolls around here will go through to try and "discredit" mensrights. What sad lives they must have to have to resort to this to make them feel like they are doing something with their lives.

"Husbands have come to expect the extra income that working wives bring into a household" Your damn right we do. Women are adults and are perfectly capable of providing for their families just like men are capable of taking care of domestic work and raising children. I would have some serious problems if my partner decided to opt out of our shared responsibility to provide for the family because they want to stay home and raise the kids. "gynocracy" did you just make that one up all by yourself, thats almost clever. See your getting better with the trolling already. Well you better get back to trolling mensrights I am sure it takes a lot of trolling every day to make you feel like your have accomplished something with your life.
/r/MensRights06/10/11 08:32 PM

See your getting better already your up to junior high level trolling now. Keep up the good work and you may get your own bridge to live under. Now get back to trying to hold up your crumbling self esteem by making fun of men who dare to think they should stand up for their rights. Who am I to begrudge you the one small ray of sunshine in your otherwise sad life. Say hi to your cats er I mean dogs for me.

Insulting my insults that some weak ass trolling. You would think some one with the word troll in their name would be a little better at trolling. Hey if you want to get back at all the men who wont pay attention to you by trolling /mensrights thats your prerogative. But how are we supposed to take anything you say seriously when trolling this group is your pathetic excuse for a life. Sure you can try and act like you have a man that thinks your cool but we all know thats just a line of bullshit you like to use to make yourself look better on the internet and not a crazy cat/dog lady in the making.
/r/MensRights06/10/11 06:15 PM
2

Sure it starts off with one dog but then you sit home alone with no one to talk to you or give a shit about your day except your dog. Then as time goes on and your emotional needs continue to go unfulfilled you decide you need a second dog. This progresses until your 60 years old and you have the Animal hording camera crew in your house and the government is taking all of your "babies" because they are living in filth.
/r/MensRights06/10/11 03:53 PM

I think the fact that not only did he retaliate against the girl but then also attacked someone who was trying to break up the fight too is what is getting him prosecuted. But saying that I also feel that if he is getting prosecuted then the girl who kicked him should be prosecuted as well. There were multiple assaults here and if one is being prosecuted then all should be.
/r/MensRights29/09/11 03:52 PM

He really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, really, wants you to know that they changed the title to appease man hating feminists who believe were all rape apologists. I don't know who is worse the AMR people or the MR people who wont stop giving them attention. Heck most people wouldn't know about AMR if it wasn't for the constant stream of articles around her complaining about them. I wonder why people spend so much wasted time defending MensRights on Reddit rather than advancing the cause posting information and discussing ideas. While I am sad to see that the court did not find that defendants facing jail time up to a year did not deserve representation, they did find that courts have to make the process more fair to the defendants so their due process rights are not violated. Centuries of gossip about sex shouldn’t be overlooked. One rarely hears about “skilled American lovers”, “excellent Jewish sex” or “sensitive Muslim men in bed.”< Seriously, your going to submit an article with this kind of bullshit in it.

Because it is usually the academics who are the most radical and have the time on their hands to write. Most people who are not on the fringe have other shit to do than come up with blogs, or articles, or go on tv. Thats why you don't hear from them because they may believe in some of the ideas of a movement but don't give a shit enough about it to take action. Thats quite a generalization there. There are many levels of people who may call themselves feminists. For the more radical ones yeah your completely right, but some are less radical are more open minded and are capable of having a rational discussion. Are you also going to complain about how Bob Marley made a song about killing a police officer? People have been making songs forever about killing people this is hardly new. Just because a prominent modern female artist made a song about killing a man isn't really a reason to get worked up. Women make songs about killing men, men make songs about killing women, men make songs about killing men. It is art and I am willing to tolerate being offended in the name of free speech.

To me it isn't even an issue. Yes I know the arguments because i have heard them all around here on a constant basis. Parental rights, fair divorce and custody hearings, prevention of misandry, etc are all far more important to me. Hell I never even think about that fact I was circumcised because it isn't a big deal to me at all.

Jebus man your quite the drama queen. Comparing me being ok with my circumcision to having Stockholm syndrome is complete nonsense. Like I said mutilation is in the eye of the beholder. Humans have been cutting off stretching and otherwise modifying our bodies for as long as we have been around and circumcisions are just an extension of that. Why the heck do you have a problem with circumcised people being happy with the way that they are?
/r/MensRights27/04/11 01:07 AM

Yeah I did and I get along fine without them.
/r/MensRights26/04/11 09:58 PM

Wow I would hate to have my genitals mutilated, good thing mine were not. I have never looked at myself and thought for a second that I am mutilated or am missing out on something. My genitals are just fine the way they are and I am perfectly happy with them. Calling a circumcised penis mutilated is a hell of an overstatement and is very much in the eye of the beholder.

No you just play into exactly what they are trying to accomplish and that is cause controversy for the sake of being an asshole. Remember the sure fire way to make a troll go away is to ignore them and just let the mods handle it rather than giving them the attention they so desperately crave.

There is a fine line between what one considers a troll and a person with a different opinion than you. This is a place for all opinions and open discussion not just for opinions you agree with.

Hey listen just because someone doesn't completely agree with you on an issue doesn't mean they don't have a valid opinion that can be expressed here. What do you think this is a feminism subredit.

You realize that most people don't even know what the word Misandry means right? Its pretty hard to make people know about a movement if they don't even know what the term used to describe that basic concept means.

Well if she is going to insist on the outdated idea that there are girl and boy jobs I guess she can try and do that. But in the future the next time she asks you to do a boy job say "sure I can do that right after you get your ass in the kitchen and make me a sandwich like a good girl".

Lets just file this study under D for Duh. Anyone who has friends that are narcissists and friends who are not can notice this trend. Oh and I should add that this is not just exclusive to women as well. I know a few guys who do this as well and big surprise they are pretty obsessed with their appearances.

Well I hate to say it but your going to have to suck it up and register or live with the consequences. Getting mopey and depressed wont help you a bit. Your a man and its the law so your going to have to deal with it. In live there are a lot of things you have to do but you don't want to and selective service is one of those things. I regesterd for the draft years ago and you know how it has effected my life? It hasn't because there is no draft and there hasn't been one for decades. Is it unfair…

It is nice to see that there are women out there like that. My girlfriend is very similar in her feelings about the holiday and I am very luck for it. Somehow the holiday became about the unrealistic expectations and consumerism when all it is supposed to be about is remembering why your with the person you love.

You know I don't really care. I am circumcised and like most circumcised people I have been my whole life. So maybe I am missing out on some sensation because of it but I don't miss it at all because it still feels pretty damn good. Getting pissed off because I got circumcised doesn't help anything. I don't get why people would want to restore their foreskin or be pissed at their parents because they got circumcised. I am happy and confident with what I have so I just don't get why people get so…

Really and the Chessboards in the park were designed for kids? How many kids sit around all day and play chess in a park. Doesn't it make more sense that the were designed for the retirees who sit in parks all day playing chess. Public parks are designed for the public and not just small sectors of the population.

Well I would suggest bringing this up at the next Patriarchy meeting. Apparently you didn't get the memo that explains how you can get everything handed to you on a silver platter. It is all about protecting your self and proper documentation. The super has already shown that they are willing to use dirty tricks to silence you so you need to first and foremost protect yourself. Public forums are your friend and will be your best bet for getting actual action taken.

You need to bring this up with the Parent Teacher Association, as well as bring it up at the next public School Board meeting. These are the proper venues for an issue such as this. They are public forums where parents can air their grievances, as well as places where you will find a sympathetic audience for the core issue of the locked doors. When you make a public complaint like this your complaint is on the record and it will make their harassment of you much more difficult to conceal. Don't …

Are people sure that the author is actually a man? After reading some of his stuff I would highly doubt it because he seems to be as radical of a feminist as I have ever read. Someone has taken far too many womens study classes. His article on rape that basically says that if you convince a woman to have sex with you, then you are in fact raping her just proves my point.
/r/MensRights01/10/10 09:43 PM
22

Sorry but by calling this a rape it trivializes actual violent rape and its victim. This is a crime of deception and not one of violence. The expansion of the definition of rape to other crimes needs to stop and this is just another example of the stretching of this definition. By cheapening the word rape you are committing an injustice against actual victims of rapes.

I found this on another site and it puts the episode in context. Poor Leah doesn't have any sheets on her bed, and Gary has asked his mother to bring some sheets with her when she drops off Leah after babysitting her. This for whatever reason sets Amber off, because somehow this implies that she is a bad mother. Truth hurts, I know. How can you let a baby sleep on a bare mattress? Of course, now she's going to take it out on Leah, and puts her in her crib for climbing on the furniture. And when …

The problem really is that women no matter if there is evidence or not are always considered the victim and that they need to be protected from men, because men are naturally violent animals. It is that attitude that many women have learned to exploit and that women abusers use to keep men from speaking up or even defending themselves.
/r/MensRights30/09/10 06:53 PM
63

Exactly. This is the same situation a lot of men are in. Women get a free pass to abuse all they want and even if they are the abusers they can still go to court and claim abuse and the court automatically believes them because they are women. Just the accusation of abuse is all a woman needs to keep a man away from his child. This pathetic bitch is just one example of this travesty of justice.

The guy couldn't even defend himself because if he would have raised a hand against her at all she would claim domestic violence against him and he would never see his kid again. This is complete bullshit that MTV will show this.

I never said that no circumcised man gives a damn. I said i don't give a damn. I said that i don't have any issues from being circumcised. Sure some people do but in my experience it isn't a big deal and I didn't even know that other people had issues with it until i came around here. I am not making sweeping generalizations like you are accusing me of. I would not take the position that no one cares about it because obviously some people like yourself do.

I think you need to calm down first. I was simply stating my personal experience not trying to start some sort of argument. I have never felt ashamed of being circumcised and am not about to start feeling that way because the is no reason for me to be ashamed. I have no psychological issues because of it and I fail to see why I should. I could care less that I am circumcised because it has never effected me in any way at all. I have a cousin who is uncircumcised and he has told me before that it used to make him very self conscious because his penis looked different. I just don't understand what all the fuss is about. Sure there are issues with circumcision but I personally don't feel like it is that big of a deal because from my experience it has not effected me in any way what so ever.

Sorry but I am circumcised and have never felt "feelings reported generally include anger, sense of loss, shame, sense of having been victimized and violated, fear, distrust, grief, and jealousy of intact men" at any point in my life because of my circumcision. This article is incredibly one sided and seems like a lot of bull to me. Heck i didn't even realize that people has such issues with it until I started coming around here.

Sorry but he is talking about his kids if he cant suck it up and follow procedure, then it is mostly his fault. Compared to other stories I hear around here where fathers do everything in their power to keep their kids, this guys complaint that he has to file some papers seems like a bunch of whining to me. Granted i don't have all the facts from this poorly written story but having to file paperwork is hardly an injustice.
/r/MensRights14/09/10 02:58 PM

The guy needs to get his custody arrangement in writing and file the paperwork. Unless he wants to give us more info in the story it sounds like he just needs to follow procedure and he will be ok.

Well I am glad that the Judge saw through all the mothers bull crap and held her in contempt. It is always nice to see justice served.

How many 15 year olds can provide for themselves much less any children they may have without the support of their parents?
/r/MensRights05/08/10 09:00 PM

Agreed, there is a big difference at that point. This is not a relationship between a 17 and 18 year old. If one person is 15 and the other 20 there is a huge gap in maturity and the 20 year old has some issues.
