I think it's cause you don't brag enough about your accomplishments. </sarcasm> But seriously, I don't see how any of the things you just told us about yourself make you a fun and interesting person (except the robots part). A woman's value is more than just her appearance and your value is more than your merit badges.

I'm pretty sure the first rule of "That's What She Said" is that you can't do it to yourself.

That's the best line to use if you are looking to overcome your outcome dependency.

You might be right if it was only once but it couldn't have been TOTAL revulsion if she came back for seconds.

I read that. I think you're telling me I need to just approach girls everywhere I am in the moment. However, at most, I see one, maybe two, girls that I find attractive. I wish this was an excuse but its the truth. I talk to at least a quarter of them. I wish I talked to more but at least I'm making some moves. However, it's hard to have an attitude of abundance when all I see is scarcity. edit: I'll read it again if you really think it'll help.

but its not useful. he's just trying to validate his view on the world by pushing it on us.

you're a little late on that realization. these guys are all hopeless romantic underneath their tough PUA exteriors.

I think its funny/sad that the biggest problem with being sober at a bar isn't personal temptation but social pressure. With that said, I thinking refusing to drink around drunk people is an excellent exercise in doing what you want instead of doing what others think you should. Unless, of course, you want to get drunk instead of practice game with a sober head.

well, that's a relief. i'm glad i was wrong. i think you'll do just fine if you follow the great advice on here.

it sounds like you are too hung up on sex and have little to no interest in the other elements of male-female relationships. most half-intelligent girls will smell this predatory attitude from a mile away (and run in the opposite direction). i think this is also why you find yourself not having anything to say. maybe i'm reading too much into it.

yea its 2011. can we relax a little? nobody is hating on gay people. gay used to mean happy. then it meant homosexual. now it means stupid. based on the responses to this post i'd say his choice of word was very appropriate. downvote for you for being so negative.

i think you're bringing back bad memories for many of us. let us keep pretending that no gay guys ever sexually harass straight guys in the most inappropriate ways. funny story tho, gay guy i met one night had his girl friend dance with me so he could sneak up behind me and they could sandwich me. <shudders>

I'm really sick of seeing this type of post. You aren't even asking anything nor do you seem to be making any effort to better yourself. If you are looking for a starting point look no further than "this post quazzy compiling all the most useful posts in this subreddit." - sidebar

I think it's that the more I respect a girl the harder it is for me to "game" her. I'm sure its a common problem. The right opening never showed itself so I let it slip. At least it was a huge confidence/self-esteem boost.

I think this is a great idea. I can't seem to find any friends who want to take practicing pick up seriously with me. Send me a message with your e-mail and we can arrange something.

There is always some minority that is bat-shit insane and will do something like this but do you really want to be questioning the sincerity of every little gesture? That sort of skepticism will do a lot more harm than good. If you miss them too, just say so. If it turns out their bat-shit insane, good riddens.

I don't like bars for exactly the reasons mentioned. If I do go to a bar its because I'm meeting up with girls and not trying to meet new girls. Someone once told me work towards your strengths and its the best advice I think I've gotten in a long time. I think its better to focus on developing the strengths already have than banging your head on the wall trying to overcome some minor shortcomings.

Piece of ideology?... This is a subreddit about "dating, relationships and seduction from a male perspective." Not any particular piece of ideology. I think what's really going on is that you don't like certain pieces of the combined knowledge of the community, which is fine. I don't like every single thing discussed on this forum either but I'm not about to hate on the whole subreddit cause of it. The truth is, you call PUAs "fucking stupid" cause you see negative qualities in people before pos…

I think sometimes I assume that the more attractive girl is going to be harder to talk to and then its just self-prescribed doom. edit: changed "to do" to "to talk to".

Not to add to your worries but I remember having the same fear. I steadily jumped from one girlfriend to another during high school but when I got to college I had a lot of trouble attracting girls. I think my failures led to a loss of confidence and, consequently, more failure. It wasn't till the end of my second year that I even had sex with a girl from my school. All I got before that was some lip action from two girls. Each one only once. I did end up having a really great girlfriend for the…
