Thanks so much for your advice. I am already on keto for a while. Started weight loss from 87kg. I was a fat beer guzzling slob. Trying to get back in shape. But with only 51kg of lean mass(Per DXA), I Wasn't too sure how to proceed.

I have been cutting for a while on keto. Was a fat 87kg beer guzzling slob a while back. Frankly, I am tired of cutting. But kept reading that starting any lifting routine above 20% is not a good idea. Analysis paralysis I suppose. Need to get started first! Thanks for your great advice.

Yeah, I have 51kg lean mass according to the DXA scan, the rest is fat. Also, at this level of BF, I am also struggling with LowT. But it seems that lifting increases T alongwith clean diet so no more excuses, I need to get my ass moving. Thanks for the advice. Thanks for responding.

Thanks for taking the time to write this. I have about 51kg of lean mass according to the DXA Scan. Pretty lanky I guess at my height.

Thanks so much for your great advice. Yes, I am suffering from analysis paralysis and just not starting with something.

This is it. I am in analysis paralysis mode. Thanks to all the great advice to my question (Thankfully nobody beat me up for not posting this on AskTRP instead of here!), it makes sense that getting the discipline to show up at the gym is the first thing I need to do. Going out to buy a power rack. My local gym doesn't have one.

Thanks for responding! I read all of your posts. And I never realized my question would get so much attention. I woke up this morning to a flooded inbox with absolutely great advice. This sub is awesome too! I haven't gotten this level of response and quality advice on any other fitness sub. I am already on keto for a while, got down to current weight from 87kg. Had a big fat beer gut, which is flattening. The reduced weight plus better nutrition, fashion etc got the first few levels of dread st…

I guess being stuck in analysis paralysis is my current situation. The message I get from most of the responses here is to get the discipline of showing up at a gym first! And this makes perfect sense. Thanks for responding.

I can do this on keto! Thanks for the tip. Not really sure about the bodyweight exercises, will check them out.

Thanks for taking the time to detail the plan. I will check out 5X5. Already on keto for a while and making good progress.

Thanks for taking the time to respond in detail. Here in India, getting a gym with a power rack itself is a bit challenging. I am not even sure I would get a crossfit. What you said sounds intense and great to hear you were able to power through it. I am 38 and I have LowT, which is another issue I am dealing with. However, my doctor isnt keen on starting me on TRT as he said why dont you try losing the fat first and see if things improve. Great tip on getting started first. The discipline to st…

Yeah, I just responded to another comment about this. Staying hungry is an issue for me. Thanks for the tips.

You know, I am a bit afraid of lifting at a deficit. Staying hungry is my biggest issue. I am on keto and its the only diet I was able to stick with because of the satiety. But what you say makes sense and there isn't any harm trying it out. After all, mental strength is important too. Thanks for sharing your tips on the workout.

I think this is the best advice many have pointed out. Get used to lifting first and not get into the nitty gritty yet. Thanks so much.

Thanks. This is great advice. I know I do not have much muscle. My BF reading is accurate as its from a DXA scan, I just have 51kg of lean mass. What you said makes sense. Will work on this. I have my diet dialed in, I am on keto for a while.

I am 5'10", 38, at 29% body fat, 76kg weight. Does it make sense to lift without cutting down first to, say 15% or so and then slow bulk? Complete newbie, never lifted.

Those with low T are generally deficient in Vitamin D and Selenium. Vitamin D regulates a lot of functions, mood included. People with SAD have depression during winter months that is simply corrected by getting D3 supplementation. It might be worthwhile to get your D checked. While it is unfortunate that you had a bad time growing up, your best best is to look forward in addition to getting your physiology fixed. Good luck to you.

Don't government food policies decide what would be cultivated, what food would be available for purchase the cheapest? I really did not mean that food, housing are provided for free, but the policies do have an impact on the food choices available to people and the relative cost of each of the choices. And policy is shaped by lobbying by the industry as well. For example, sugar and corn are abundant and cheap, hence food using these as raw material is cheap. But sugar affects metabolic pathways…

Agreed. But keeping people sick is also good for the pharma industry. If everyone is healthy, the medical pharma industry would wipe out. More money made, more taxes government gets. Damn am in conspiracy theory mode today.
/r/TheRedPill27/05/16 02:30 PM

Profit is first motive by food cartels. Second, fat people have shorter lifespan. If everyone is healthy, governments will have a different problem, handling a BIG population and providing food, housing etc.

I have been married 15 years. Had textbook ups and downs in my marriage. TRP and MRP gave me perspective and now I see everything for what it is and I am happier. Irrespective of geography (Except a few countries), women have too much power, that is unquestionable. TRP recently had a spike in members, the amount of posts became too low quality until the mods stepped in. I think they are experiencing some growth issues and are trying to address it. But why they chose to write about MRP mods, I fa…

This was a good read. Pretty textbook behavior. When I started lifting, changed my diet, quit my social networking, I had so much time on my hands I decided to take a few courses and industry certifications. My income tripled as a result. And since then I have seen my wife go through the same things. Keeps asking about the women at my new workplace, how old, fat or not? Do I "like" anyone of them. Dread game works.

This. Especially in India. Social shaming is so high in India for not marrying, its not even funny. Not marrying before 27 is considered sacrilege and pressure starts. Its just horrible.

The general belief is that scientists or men of STEM spend a LOT of time in their scientific pursuits and objectives, they have no time to pursue women. The other problem is that in pursuit of their lofty research goals, they do not take care of themselves (Appearance, diet, body, game, dressing etc) If you can maintain both, go for it!

Good analysis. Am not from the US but can draw parallels. Recently a report was released by the Finance Ministry of India showing statistics of taxpayers in the country. Only 1% of the Indian population pays income taxes!! The salaried is the most easiest class to oppress and tax. And easiest to catch too, while the well heeled and connected enjoy all their money through tax loopholes. It is this same class of people that face a multitude of "underprivileged" classes who enjoy reservations in jo…

I am 38. If I had a wish that I could go back and change something, I would do exactly what you just wrote above BUT in the same field I am now. I need not have wasted 7 years in undergrad followed by grad school to do what I love. Simple IT trade school would have been enough. Gradschool especially was a pointless struggle. While you may be right about the marriage being beyond repair, 3 months is just not enough time to go nuclear on the Dread. I suggest do not get impatient. Of course, its your decision ultimately. You need to get your SMV and game higher and higher, whether you stay in your marriage or go out. So might as well use this time to shape up everything, body, finances etc. Just pretend she's not around. There's a pron star called Sunny Leone, supposedly of Indian descent. She "quit" porn and came to India (In 2011, so should have been around 30 years old) with her husband and now is an actress in many hindi trashy movies. When media talks to her of her past, she says something very similar! Also talks about how her husband is has been and is very very supportive!

Yes! It will work for you. Provided you work, HARD on yourself. A suggestion, from experience: Learn quickly how to identify and handle shit tests and comfort tests first. I found that this one skill(Besides lifting) is the "20" in the 80:20 rule! Read the sidebar, and the books NMMNG and MMSLP (Don't leave them around at home or easily found on the home computer!) Good luck.

I had a "thick" group of 15 college male friends. Predictably, one after the other dropped out of weekend get togethers as soon as they got married. Organizing a party just with men is met with extreme resistance, emotional blackmail and manipulation from the wives!

Someone will post content based on his beliefs or experience, TRP sub or not. As the seniors here always say, TRP is a toolbox. Take what you like, do not take want you don't like.....simple. Nobody is acting here. Everyone shares what they think might be useful. I really do not see a comparison between porn and TRP. Porn ruined 20 years of my life. Just 1 year of TRP got my married life back together.

Then just go ahead man. Friendship is a lot more value. At least you would be able to look in the mirror. Whether or not your friend believes you, should be secondary, disregard my first comment. Of course, you will need to rope your wife in (Or/And Dave too) for credibility.

The veterans here may have some better insight. However, I think it is not wise on your part to be on medication for no reason. Yes, she may have been worth it, but you are making too big of a sacrifice by subjecting your body to unnecessary pills. Wasn't too clear from your report, but looks like she used the "covert contract" on you related to the dog. You fell for it. And no, there is no point in talking to a woman about TRP. India already has a rule that listed Companies should have at least one woman member on their board with no rule on performance deliverables or accountability.. There is a fine imposed on a daily basis on the companies that do not comply. Needless to say, many Companies are struggling to find "qualified" women to add to their boards. In family owned businesses, Companies are simply putting up the women relatives.
