No wonder redpill teaches men to withhold commitment in order to excite women with chaos and uncertainty. Its because of women like this that get turned off by safety and certainty. A general approach shouldn't be promoted because of anecdotal experiences.

It's the mom's fault, and the kid needs to toughen up How's it fair for the kid to be punished for his mom's fault?

That's the way it usually works.

Please, go ahead and define for us what exactly a “fully developed” brain is Brain that finishes dendritic pruning and myelination. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3621648/

Brains not fully developed until 25 (infantilizing adults) This is just scientifically true. Victims of age gap relationships (as though they were forced into it) Who says that? Victims of pump and dumping (even with consent) I don't see how this is related to any other points. Yes, women would prefer to not be abandoned after sex, what of it?
/r/PurplePillDebate06/04/24 01:21 PM

After putting in so much effort into self-improvement You're poisoning yourself. Self-worsening? Also, women aren't gachapon machines you put coins in and get sex in return.

Companies will literally choose women to be the face of their business because they come off as "less threatening” for something as mundane as selling insurance. Which further highlights how manipulative and dishonest people can be amongst both genders. But not as leadership. Also, women get slutshaming.

Yeah because vigilantism leads to an orderly, peaceful society and there's nothing wrong with letting people axe others in their sleep if they claim abuse afterwards. /s

And let's not even get started on the extreme hatred that liberals spew against short men There's absolutely no sign of "extreme hatred" towards short people off the internet.

Report your situation to child protection services, they'll probably find the kids some food. Move to a relative's or a friend's house. Pawn your belongings for food and moving expenses. Take out a loan.

There are tons of other discrimination sources due to race and sexual orientation than just employment. And I don't see how implicit bias is systemic in any way.

All of those choices cause more risk or more damage than the alternative. Cheating on someone is risky. One can control when someone finds out that one is breaking up with someone, one can't control when someone discovers that on is cheating. So one can reduce the risk of the fallout from breakup/divorce but it's harder to do so for cheating discovery. And the last is just ridiculous... expect kids to wait for food until a divorce can be lodged? Food pantries are a thing.

There are probably better arguments to defend the personal freedom position - for birth in particular, I'd argue that the conservative position is for personal freedom of the hypothetical baby. But for big government yeah, everyone in all parties is perfectly fine with expanding the government power until it has an iron grip on whatever is their policy preference.

but I'm talking about spiritual beliefs here. I think you might need to clarify further that you mean spiritual beliefs that align with yours because I'd imagine the left has tons of beliefs and ideas about the spiritual consequences of various acts, they're just not aligned with any major religion.

Yeah if the study referred to in the post actually exists, it may be interpreted two different ways by the groups being asked. Wrong can mean unethical or wrong can mean something that's as much of a sin as wearing mixed fabrics is.

What about if your boyfriend you were with for six months has been missing two years and isn't there to be broken up with I think breaking up with someone in absentia makes sense. Send them a text on their last known means of communication and then I'd argue that it's not cheating. What about if the partner is in prison and never getting out and will never be a proper spouse again Divorce them. After the divorce, it's not cheating. Sure, but so what? Why does the fact of what is being complimented change how objectifying it is? In either case, it does not reduce a person to a mere end, therefore it is not objectification If a person's immutable object is being complimented, it enforces the idea that their worth is tied to/composed of that object (rather than any actions they've taken), which is essentially objectification. Yes, that is true, but once again what relevance does it have? All value is socially constructed in t…

but you gotta look at the most reasonable interpretations of the statements Sure. and it is a huge far cry to interpret “nice tits!” as a denial of agency or value besides what is provided (tits) - just like it would be a far cry for a barber to interpret “nice haircut” as a statement that his only worth derives from the haircuts he does and there is no agency he has over who and how he cuts the hair of. On the surface level in a vacuum, I see your point. This may be the most straightforward int…

IMO your comment could use one or two (more) examples. Though you did give a few and I've got some thoughts on them. I could argue that saying a woman has nice tits could be interpreted as situationally objectifying because it could be interpreted as denying them any other agency besides having tits. The wife example is a bit less objectionable but similar logic can be said to be inappropriate - denying the woman any value outside of her boobs. I also think it's interesting that you talked about…

Now my question for you is this - you have a time machine to turn back time. Would you still support her to enter that relationship? Well first of all, if I have a time machine I suddenly have much bigger priorities, though apparently they can't include killing Hitler. Then when all that's done - no, I'd encourage her to find someone else. So I'd still encourage her to go into a relationship, just not with that guy.

It sorta doesn't make any sense to just throw away the self-reliance and independence that we've learned Your SO doesn't mind-wipe you. You can break up and still have the knowledge. We could get hurt again if we're with a negative partner, and that would just puts us back into square one. You're not, you still have the skills you previously learned. And you could get hurt in a variety of ways, the only way to be 100% safe from any hurt is live in a bubble.

Sounds like there are things you'd miss if societal support disappeared so sounds like you do very much give a fuck about society because without it you wouldn't have computers, games, etc. But that's beside the earlier point, it sounds like we both now agree that this sort of thing is selfish.

A selfless act is not one that repays a debt. If everybody "lived their best life" and only did selfless things when it was part of a debt repayment system, there'd be way less scientific progress, no public transportation, no public roads, and open-source wouldn't be a thing. This kind of mindset is why insulin (and other drugs) cost as much as they do.

You are talking as if marriage is essential for a man's survival. (Like food or water or something.) NEWSFLASH! Its isn't. You can live a happy and fulfilling life without marriage. What gave you that impression? I only argued that it's a viable option and just because something is a viable option doesn't automatically somehow make it a requirement or vital. We live in a world where that norm has changed. Today both wife and husband earn (or at least are capable of earning). So that assumption s…

It's physically impossible to have judged enough women to make the assessment that the only thing literally all of them provide is abuse. Men who want to make a woman feel special are not psychopathic. Men who want sex aren't psychopathic either. I agree with this, though not the other part of this comment that was removed. There's a pretty fine line which separates expressing love and just pulling strings. Maybe for a psychopath.

I dunno what room there is to debate when it's just your individual experience of a relatively small group of people. If anything its the other way around. I'm sure you do but we were discussing a situation where you could never get a friend because everyone around you was sexist/racist, etc. and you couldn't afford to move. It's nice that life worked out for you in your current situation but I was saying it's kinda sad that you'd be perfectly fine with living without IRL friends just because everyone else wouldn't want to be friends with you due to your immutable physical characteristics and you couldn't afford to move.

Are you saying there's no situations in which a woman is buzzed/ a little tipsy and is more than enthusiastic to fuck whoever it is while under the influence? I believe I said they "tend" to annoy me, not that they are guaranteed to. And that's sexist, because you're making a judgment about people you haven't met based on their gender. It's also a misunderstanding of statistics because your sample size is too tiny to make that judgment. Apathy? If you're saying they're annoying, that's not apathy. After these last couple of years, I'm rooting for the aliens when they get here. Be the change you want to see.

most people would not give a fuck if a sober girl fucked a drunk guy though, so I have no reason to think you are any different. This isn't a logically consistent thought. Wow, ok. I dunno why you wouldn't be concerned about society missing out on all the good that comes out of culture mixing but if you don't care about ever being IRL friends with anyone, you probably don't care about lots of other positives too. IMO being ok with such a lonely lifetime of existence kinda sucks.

How so? It's how I feel, wouldn't repressing my emotions be toxic masculinity? You don't have to repress your emotions to recognize that you haven't met literally all women and so it's impossible that all of them are certain to annoy you. It's not your feelings towards women you know well that are sexist, it's your feelings to those who you haven't even met yet. Look, they're just human beings and human beings aren't great overall. That's speciest.

as I said in my initial point we always rightfully blame everybody else who drinks and puts themselves in certain situations Not when it comes to sex and I'd argue the blame is rightfully placed elsewhere because of other factors I discussed. Personally (and this changes depending on the situation) for an average sized woman I just met, if she goes over two glasses of wine or two mixed drinks, more than that I'm not risking it. If that's consistent with what alters the judgment for the vast majority, looks like we're on the same page. I've met girls that like sloppy drunk sex AND tell me that before we start drinking. After the fact she did mention she felt butt hurt I rejected her. She felt like I had decided how sober she was and had basically decided on my own she was too drunk. I think her feeling hurt was irrational. IMO you did the right thing here. I had the opposite happen on a rare occasion I was buzzed, a friend drove me home, invited herself in and we hooked up. It probably wasn't my best performance ever but we both had fun. IMO you could potentially claim rape.

Especially given how easy it is for a man to loose a lot from just the accusation alone, regardless of a conviction. This isn't fair and shouldn't be a thing. This is the other problem besides rape trials going nowhere.

so you need to create a law affecting majority of people There are a lot of laws which affect the majority of people. Drunk driving is illegal, for example. This contradict with your philosophy of we" assuming the worst is bettter" Nobody is assuming the worst. There's still a trial involved and the standards you cited still apply. Third this is similar to the logic that used against allowing drugs It's a different situation, that doesn't mean that this logic is bad. That allowing it would lead …

Whether it's one party or two party has no bearing on your ability to make the decision. Yes it does, people are infinitely more persuasive than inanimate objects because the persuasion power of inanimate objects is 0. So the factor here is outside persuasion or lack thereof. If you're at .08 BAC, you think that's enough for a woman to claim rape? One margarita and a woman can no longer consent to anything sexual? Whatever is the limit of where the most lightweight drinker's judgment is affected…

women are in general so much physically weaker they are much more vulnerable That doesn't make sexual assault ok. You said you were ok with the sexual attention so what happened to you wasn't assault.

I never hear men say "Lisa fucked me while I was drunk should I file a report"? Just because they don't say that doesn't mean they couldn't or shouldn't say that. It's not a double standard if the other opportunity is completely available but nobody chooses to take advantage of it of their own free will. So no, nobody should fuck anyone else when drunk and there's nothing inconsistent about that.

One party consent vs two party consent. If the car was sentient and asked you to drive it that'd be a situation where it'd be taking advantage of your state too.

Unless someone is obviously hitting on you, assume nobody who you're interacting with normally wants to bang you. Then if they get offended about you not realizing, say that it's their fault and that if they want to say something they should use their words, like you're doing right now. Because that's the truth and you shouldn't have to deal with people who say nothing and expect everything. If people don't communicate, whatever happens (or doesn't) is on them.

I'll agree that being a male stud is more difficult but I dunno why you'd think everything involved in that means the guy deserves more respect than average. Uhhh wow, feeling good is selfish? Your definition of the word doesn't fit the accepted definition. Definition of selfless : having no concern for self : unselfish Just because someone feels good while doing something doesn't mean they're concerned about themselves and that's their primary motivator for doing that action. If someone whips themselves when giving a dollar to someone, that doesn't somehow increase their concern for the other person.

I think you're underestimating how many women do this, they'd be cutting out a large portion of potential suitors from the dating pool, and men already have greater difficulty dating than women do. The alternative is unintentional unwanted sexual advances so I think it's worth at least exploring ways to make sure she says yes before you go for it. Saying that the actual law is sexist is different from saying that the justice system is sexist. Cool story, I never said sex work outside of a relationship was cheating either, so your entire spiel is without point or merit. I was talking about sex work before a dedicated, closed relationship. And someone with a history of low quality short term contracts does not give a good impression that they can abide by the terms of a high quality long term one Why not? I can argue they may be more likely to go for a long term one because they're tired of poor short term ones. Though a better argument is that (pre-dating) work doesn't really absolutely have to have a direct correlation to what happens in a relationship.

You wouldn't want other people giving you a morally sound punishment for stuff you've done?
/r/MensRights24/12/17 03:06 AM

That doesn't mean it's ethical or moral or something that should be done in general.

.....One of these days I should start a /r/killthosewhodisagree - type sub for mocking posts that promote vigilantiism and completely ignore the existence of a justice system. Did you miss your "two wrongs don't make a right" lesson in kindergarten? Or would you be completely fine if other people took justice into their own hands for things they think you did?

The basis was that she was drunk when they had sex. The "regret=rape" was just something made up afterwards to screw with people, according to that article.

I think doing women favors solely because they're women goes beyond kindness and respect. If you've experienced several IRL situations where the above wasn't what was happening and the guy was still made fun of then touché.

Lol wasn't aware that was a controversial idea.

Suppose you show sources, you will say they are not sufficient; Unsufficient sources are better than none at all. I will give an example. Law doesn't work on statistics. Just because unrelated 90% people of one class were subjected to some harsh environment, you don't punish randomly the 10% people who weren't part of that class. The way law MUST work is irrespective of ANY statistics, given THIS situation, who is in the wrong? This is pretty garbled but laws are meant to ensure the oppression o…

However, that doesn't excuse it from lacking sources. THANK YOU. So many people think it makes sense to just base opinions on absolutely nothing worthwhile. current trends in what people like to watch makes me worry. People liked watching violence since ancient times (coliseum, etc.). Isn't that worse than sex with a sibling? If watching something meant degeneration, shouldn't humanity be extremely violent after such a long history of watching violence? Not saying women can't serve military, but…

He sued the school, claiming gender discrimination and that the school’s Title IX officer, who carried out the investigation, had said “regret equals rape” at a campus event. (She denies this.) Lol you left out the most important part. If I say that you said you were selling crack last week, that doesn't mean anything about crack statistics.
/r/MensRights03/12/17 05:52 AM

I was more talking about "treat women with kindness and respect" nice, not "try to anticipate women's wishes" nice; I think the latter is a bit overboard unless one is trying to start a relationship.

Statistics show that people, who had many partners in the past are less happy I can do that too. Statistics show that appropriate-username is the objectively greatest redditor that has ever deigned to visit the website, and will be so long after the visit is over. It is scientifically impossible, as confirmed by dozens of studies, for there to be any other greater redditor. On a much less important topic -- Does promiscuity augurs ill? Not necessarily. A longitudinal study that followed 1000 chi…

So yeah, at this point, I'm thinking of all the times men have sacrificed their lives fighting civil wars and revolutions to overthrow ruthless dictators to make their society a better place, Lol that felt so random. They fought in wars so that there is an HR one of you can go to, instead of a dictator who'd just kill both of you.

The tweeter didn't say females deserve to more easily acquire government positions. "Imagine what could get done" VERY strongly implies that the female gender will magically make any applicant more qualified for half of government positions than a male applicant because more would get done if the female applicant takes the position. If that line wasn't included in the tweet, I'd agree with you.
/r/PussyPassDenied13/08/17 04:45 PM

Getting a government job because of one's gender rather than any qualifications is not a privilege?
/r/PussyPassDenied13/08/17 04:23 PM

It's a woman asking to be granted certain privileges based solely on gender. I think it at least fits better than all those posts where the gender could be swapped or made ambiguous and it would remain exactly the same.

It is not REALLY ever possible Sure, nobody can read thoughts, but I thought this sub is more for something that appears to be someone using their gender to argue about something or get something, like in this pic. In that respect, men do the same thing so this does target women over men, though not in a way I believe is actually sexist If it ignores male obnoxiousness in order to focus exclusively on berating women for something both genders are known for doing, how is it not sexist?
/r/PussyPassDenied03/06/17 06:59 PM
1

Sure but I don't see anything to suggest that she was thinking her gender will let her get away with it. To me the vid seems like she wants to get away with being obnoxious in general rather than get away with being obnoxious because of some specific reason.
/r/PussyPassDenied30/05/17 03:19 AM

How would the situation be any different if she was a guy?
/r/PussyPassDenied29/05/17 11:24 PM

"He's pulling something that is disrespectful, expecting that it's a thing he can get away with." Changing genders changes nothing -- this isn't a gendered issue so I don't see why anyone would be expecting it to be this way only because she's a woman, i.e. her getting a pussy pass.
/r/PussyPassDenied29/05/17 11:23 PM

She was being obnoxious, this has nothing to do with her gender. This doesn't belong here.

I went through some other threads and found out he is the creator. It's not like it says who made the sub right below the sidebar in all subreddits, unless that person deletes their account.

Would you be OK with one where three insults against anybody get you banned? I can make an alternative sub but that's the rule I have in all subs I mod that are big enough where this is an issue.

Not even. Your quote is a very specific rule targeted at a very specific set of subreddits and shows nothing about how the admins feel about all subreddits that do not have suggestive content featuring minors, i.e. those that discuss pedophilia.

/r/MensRights17/02/12 02:08 PM

urgh, there's also r/beatingwomen and r/rapingwomen. Those subs are up not because of any misandry bias but because pictures of violence and talking about violence in a violence-themed environment is much more legal than what r/jailbait was doing.....Pretty much 100% legal.
/r/MensRights17/02/12 06:39 AM
7

You're not getting the point. Admins can't ban content of a certain kind and then turn a blind eye to other content of the same kind and legality without the banning being obviously biased and ultimately random. In other words, admins shouldn't ban a type of content that's not against the rules just because you think it should be banned. And they can't make a new rule without including r/trees. Whether you care or not about /trees is irrelevant.
/r/MensRights17/02/12 06:32 AM
11

Yeah but the whole point of the thing is where you draw the line. If you move the line back enough that discussing pedophilia is bannable, you'd probably make /trees discussion bannable too and I'm sure many redditors would be against that.
/r/MensRights17/02/12 06:23 AM

.........So okay, welcome to reddit, Reddit Enhancement Suite. The first two links have probably just been overlooked, it's not any sort of statement by the admins. Yeah, it's a discussion sub about drugs and getting high. It's been mentioned in other similar threads often enough that it's probably true--people do talk about where they can get weed on r/trees. For example, searched for "get weed" and found these three examples. Long story short, if we start banning for discussion on something, w…
