This is something I've noticed as well. I volunteered at an animal shelter and I came across many dogs who have aggression or an aversion to men, but are fine around women. Men are usually the ones who pull the "alpha" bullshit and end up abusing their animals which gives their pets very severe (and dangerous) behavioral issues. I hate it. Low value men are toxic to women and pets alike tbh, and how men interact with their pets or your pets should be seen and used as a great vetting tool.

I can't read these things without seething tbh. Not only we as women, but we as the human collective lose so much to low value, self-obsessed men. My heart mourns for all of the women who have been lost to men's recounting of history -- their brilliance reduced to little more than a foot note, their contributions to humanity's progress overshadowed by men's narcissism. Ugh, reading things like this really puts into perspective and reinforces how important the principles of FDS are to the lives o…

I was thinking today that I will never date pilots, firemen, auto mechanics, or anyone in the military. Any job that is almost exclusively male where toxic masculinity and machismo are ingrained in the workplace culture is a big no from me, regardless of the individual.

I started selling women's self defense keychains and I was banned from selling them on all online platforms (Ebay, Etsy, FB, etc.) because they're considered weapons so I really think we ought to bring back hat pins... Though I wouldn't be surprised if they were banned again as well 🙃🙃

The "dead eyes" is a very real thing. It's like they know that they are going to do something or want to hurt you, and instead of leaving the situation before it escalates, they wait for you to say or do something so they can fly into a rage and blame you for it. One time my ex and I were discussing some current event (it was about Native protesters and those high schoolers from a few years ago) while making breakfast and I could tell he was getting agitated so i was backing off. We sat down to …

My mom taught me and my sisters so many life skills, like how to use power tools to build actual things, basic home renovation stuff (I.e., how to fix holes in the wall, how to tile a floor, how to change fixtures, etc.), how to do basic maintenance on a car, etc., all in addition to all the "domestic duties" that we were expected to do (cooking, cleaning, laundry, grocery shopping, budgeting, gardening, etc.). Yet I've dated millennial men who have no clue how to do ANY of it. They don't know h…

This is my thought too. I have never asked another adult their age, not unless I was in a language class and we were trying to figure out if honorifics needed to be used when referring to or addressing each other. Ugh, gross to think about why men are so fond of asking though 😣

This has been on my mind ever since I read that quote from Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie that goes "We praise girls for virginity but we don't praise boys for virginity (and it makes me wonder how exactly this is supposed to work out, since the loss of virginity is a process that usually involves two people of opposite genders)." "Lambs for the slaughter" is an incredibly haunting way to put it as well, and it really is the truth.

I had to step away from my relationship and move back in with my mom with my 3 month old because my partner still doesn't understand what I mean when i tell him to think of us as a unit and step up. I couldn't wait any longer for him to evolve into who and what my son and i need. People told me to force my partner to learn to take care of the baby by pumping a bottle or two then leaving baby with him for the day. But no way in hell would I use my child as a tool to teach a grown man how to be re…

I want to believe this based on my own limited experience dating a taller man (who was very kind) vs a shorter man (full blown abusive narc), but I adamantly refuse to date tall and big men. It's nice in theory, but at 5'4", I don't like the physical power dynamics between me and a man who is taller than 5'7" or 5'8". I also refuse to ever look up to a man, both metaphorically and physically, so I won't ever date a tall man again lol.

This right here. I dated a short (5'5") man who was... Not very attractive but he had his qualities and there were times he sent me boudoir pictures of his ex, random screenshots of him 'trolling' pretty women he knew, like... He was just a weird, controlling, insecure man.

I was thankful I didn't tear, but at the last minute of my delivery the OB gave me a 10-stitch medialateral episiotomy that still hurts 3 months later 😕 baby was only 8 lbs, but his cord was wrapped around his neck twice so she cut me with no warning to get him out asap. One of my exes was so emotionally abusive, it messed me up in ways that I'm still healing from. I started taking birth control after I had my 2nd miscarriage since he wouldn't wear condoms, pull out, or pay attention to my ovulation weeks (I would send him screenshots of my fertility calendars and tell him not to finish in me when I was ovulating). Well he found out about the BC and immediately told me he didn't love me anymore and disappeared. Later that night I look and see he's made brand new…

Unfortunately currently learning this the hard way. I had a baby and kept asking baby's dad, ex partner, for help. Baby's dad said he didn't know how to help me or baby, didn't know what I needed, and couldn't help me with baby while also working (he is self employed... Works from home... He makes his own hours... Most of his income is passive). Jesus Christ, is it really this bad out there??? He's sleeping with someone else right in front of her yet she doesn't "want to seem toxic" since "he might guilt trip me" if she brings it up. This is insanity. There are no relationships worth salvaging in this scenario and it's sad to see that she has been led to believe that there are.

This is the exact reason why I don't watch practically any TV show or movie that isn't a cooking or baking show. It depresses and angers me to continuously and constantly see women demeaned and brutalized for plot points or character development. It's unnecessary and usually written in for shock value. It's gross.

Yes to it all. When I first started seeing this one guy a few years ago, he would reference his ex on occasion. I let it slide because... Well, I don't know why but I got fed up at one point and asked him, "why don't you get back with her?" He replied that he never wanted to be with someone like her again. I said okay and asked him to stop bringing her up then because it made me uncomfortable and doubtful of his sincerity toward me. He said okay. Then the first time I spent the night with him (a…

Honestly, I tuned out when she wrote "we have had ups and downs in our relationship" right after saying they got together with a 20+ year age difference when she was "quite young." And then she goes on to write that "she", not "we", has been determined to make it work all this time. It sounds like he's never made true effort in their relationship. She doesn't and probably hasn't wanted to be with this man for some time now. She should leave him ASAP and enjoy the best years of her life with some…

Another reason to avoid gamers is because of how entrenched gaming culture is in porn, misogyny, and blatant violence against women. If these men are spending all their free time immersing themselves in these worlds where this violence is not only allowed, but condoned and encouraged for achievement's sake, how do you think this is going to warp their views and treatment of real women? I know there's the conversation that video games shouldn't be blamed for violence and what not, but scroll thro…

A woman's intuition is rarely wrong. The one time I was ever suspicious that my ex was cheating was because I felt a legit disturbance in my soul after he stopped replying to my texts one night. On a whim, I made a throwaway account on the dating site we met on, set it to the city he was living in (I had moved to a nearby city for a semester to finish college), and sure enough, there he was. An active, fleshed out profile with a lengthy bio and a lengthy "what I'm looking for" section. What hurt…

I was just about to comment on that. 43 and looking to start a family. Whoever ends up with him better get ready for fertility treatments trying to salvage what's left of his aged sperm and then inevitably brace herself for being blamed for being the reason they can't conceive.

That was my first thought too -- I'd steal enough money so that I could pay off loans and provide a comfortable life for me, my child, and my family for the rest of our days. But men are like, hurt innocent people, murder women, torment women, etc., even the woman who gave their son life which would catapult yet another male into a woman-hating tailspin. Peak depravity.

Yes, all of this. Women do all of this and more and men will have the audacity to come home at the end of the day and say they have the right to do nothing because they earn more (my sister's ex told this to her even when she was working two jobs and going to school full time for a STEM degree and he worked a regular 40 hour job as a mechanic). Right? They want to use biology to excuse their pedophilia, abuse, and neglect, but then they get irrationally angry when women use biology to explain our preferences for a mate. It's my biology to want a tall, fit man with a full head of hair (I.e., good genetics that will pass onto my children giving them the best chance at survival) who has a big dick (I.e., virile, fertile, will give me plenty of healthy offspring) and a fat wallet (I.e., is a successful gatherer/provider of resources) who d…

This always confuses me because why do men never get concerned that their sons are going to go into porn or start an Onlyfans? Why only the intrusive and disturbing possessiveness of their daughters' bodies and sexual behavior? It makes me sick that men think of their daughters in such a way before she is even born. The immediate association of "female = sex toy" in some men's minds is revolting and it is even more so when it doesn't stop when they imagine the futures of their own spawn.

I... Never received a gift even after years (yes, years) of dating 🤡 One birthday a few years ago I wanted to be as 'low maintenance' as possible for this man since he was very busy w/ his businesses so I said the only thing I wanted to do was go to the park and feed the birds because I actually love doing that with friends and family. Yes, I would agree as well with this sentiment. Sometimes getting labeled as a bitch just makes things that much harder. My sister works in a supervisor position in a tech field. Just the other day she was telling me how she was reported to H.R. by one of her coworkers for harrassment because she directed him to do inventory or something and had to remind him that it wasn't acceptable for him to pass his duty off onto other people. He filed a complaint on her because he said he "had already done…

I've observed this in many families tbh, and actually discussed this with a friend recently who was lamenting how her family fragmented after the passing of her grandma. When the grandmother dies, everyone in the family starts losing contact with each other, drifts apart, and rarely ever makes an effort to gather everyone in one place. Women are the backbones of families, the literal glue holding entire generations together.

"In sickness and in health" and "till death do us part" be damned. What's the point of even making vows with a man when he folds like a wet napkin once he actually has to honor those vows he made to his wife? This is heartbreaking and horrific, I cannot even imagine being in her position. I also like how the guy talks this over with his dad and instead of telling his son how fucked up it is that he wants to abandon his dying wife in a nursing home, he instead enables him by alluding to the notio…

I couldn't keep reading after he spends $450 per month on OnlyFans subscriptions. Jesus Christ, how could you actively know that about a man and still decide to tie your lives together by moving in with him? I would be legit repulsed by that behavior. And he says the women help with his anxiety. Ummm, you know what else would help with his anxiety? Seeing an actual legitimate therapist! I can't read the rest of that mess omfg.

This is a fantastic observation that I didn't really pick up on until now even though I have noticed this trend in my own life. Men who claim to be "doms" are usually unattractive (through their own devices), unsuccessful in their life's endeavors, and grasping at some opportunity where they have the power to control others. Since they are too lazy or inept to conceptualize this opportunity in their lives through hard work and innovation, they instead rely on the manipulation and sexual abuse of…

I love this take because the majority of the biomedical study of human behavior, especially as it relates to mental health, has revolved around positioning men as primary subjects. Still in today's biomedical world, men are seen as the standard for which diagnoses and treatments are prescribed. Women's mental health has only recently started to be legitimized primarily because we've been leading the charge ourselves. Prior to this time, women's mental health issues were merely considered "hyster…

Men like this always talk about how once women start reaching their 30s and 40s, they start becoming undesirable and unattractive because they are visibly aging and their "biological clock" is ticking, and it's like... men really think their receding hairlines, muscular atrophied bodies, and limp dicks, along with their myriad of age-induced health problems (prostate issues, erectile dysfunction, liver problems, back issues, shrinking sperm count, etc.) are the hottest thing to young women, maki…

I would not even dignify that message with a response. It would be a simple delete, block, never see or hear from me again. My body isn't a toy or service for my partner to use to his contentment. He doesn't get to "feel a bit robbed" when he doesn't get sex. The entitlement that some men have over women's body is astounding, I'm honestly shocked!

That's so disgusting, but I would say that it's not at all rare or uncommon. I had a male coworker who I hadn't talked to in years call me out of NOWHERE one day. We had never talked on the phone, ever. We had hung out a few times when we worked together, we flirted a little, but we were never a thing by any stretch of the imagination. So much to unpack, omg. But as someone else mentioned, this is the rule, not the exception. I remember what my mom would say to my sisters and I when we were younger whenever we would go visit male relatives or go spend summers with my dad. As we were pulling up to their houses, my mom would always say to us that their homes were going to be very messy and dirty because that's how "bachelors" live. Men forget that marriage is a huge commitment and an even bigger life change, especially when you look at the statistics and see that women who marry tend to lose years off their lives. You don't spring that on your partner as a surprise, especially in public in front of a crowd. Don't spare men their feelings.

He absolutely knows what he's doing. Its not like he's a child and genuinely believes that she would love and choose his laminated paper Christmas tree, or "handmade gift", over something she actively tells him that she wants. I'm embarrassed for both of them, but you know if she complains or feels (rightly) upset, she's going to be called a heartless bitch over not accepting his "heartfelt" gesture while he expects (and receives???? which confuses me) genuine nice gifts. What a mess.

My sister has this story of being 12 or 13 and going for a walk to the park. She's walking along and this group of men in a car start following her and start shouting obscene, nasty, and hurtful things to her as she's just walking, just existing in public. She was so traumatized by it that she never wanted to walk alone after that, and it's something she still talks about (some 10+ yrs later) as something that severely impacted her confidence and development. Men who I only just met inviting me over to watch a movie is so creepy on so many levels. I've always wondered where their sense of caution is... they don't know me and they're inviting some stranger that they haven't even extensively vetted into their home, at their real address, with all of their valuables, personal information, etc., just hanging out? The "primal" argument from men makes me crack up because I don't think they understand the full implications of what they're saying. If men are merely animals, slave to their primal desires of insatiable lust and violence, then they belong on leashes or in zoos, not out in decent society that depends on people to act in accordance with established norms and mores to maintain the safety and protection of our communities. I have heard so many stories of women joining the military just to be so brutalized by fellow service members that they left or were forced out of the military with lifelong injuries or disabilities. I contemplated joining the military when I was a teen, but the men in my family who served all did their best to dissuade me from signing up. This is literally what I was about to say! Men have monikers on monikers to describe every range of women's anatomy, from referring to our labia as roast beef or "beef curtains" and using labia size to judge our worth as partners or people (the popularity of lambasting labia size has probably fed directly into the rising popularity of labiaplasty), to mocking and insulting the size of our boobs, ass, etc., whatever sizes they may be. Small dick men can suffer, idc.

This, and also I'm truly revolted by the alternative space offered to women in recent times: the she-shack. Like, we get a shack or shed that is a separate part of the property while it is socially acceptable for men to convert entire bedrooms, basements, living spaces, etc., into their "man caves." The very notion of man caves gross me out because it harkens to the notion that men need relief from the rest of the home and their families, whereas that is unheard of for women given the home and f…
