Yes. I'm hoping it gets better so it's easier to support. Also we need to work on SEO because when you search Google for FDS we only get results from those articles slamming the sub.

The app is sort of better in comparison. Although the experience isn't really pleasant. (by that logic the reddit app is also useless these days) The issue I have with the site, atleast the mobile one, is the UI. Like when I select things from the drop-down menu it doesn't load the category I click on. I have to do it multiple times. Also links I click don't load and then suddenly load much later when I give up and continue reading comments etc. I'm guessing server overload? Haven't used the pc …

I remove my metadata everywhere. Even if I don't post my face I still post other things like what I cook what I see. Pets. Etc. Rather be safe than sorry. I think metadata has even gotten criminals caught so it has got to be pretty accurate. The app is pretty straightforward. In iOS you open the app, open a picture in the shortcut. Save it and it'll automatically replace the older one you had. Same image no metadata. In Android you click share frok the image, share it to the app and then the sha…

Adding to the hacker thing. Phishing is a thing and you need not share your passwords to get something hacked. It's not always a friend. Never click on any link in an email. Check the link first with safe web services or better yet, manually type out the address of the website you need to go to.

Adding to all the points here, check out the Privacy subreddit. It helps you stay safe a few other ways as well. Sign up with Have I been pwned . Don't reuse passwords, have 2FA everywhere with a password manager. Turn off being found by your phone number (Instagram and other Meta sites don't have this option) Don't use your number as your 2FA. Use Authy or something. Don't give out your actual number. Use a Google number. If you're on LinkedIn add a Google number and a discardable email there. …

That just means he's cheating on her, she knows but she's too afraid of being alone so she stays with him. He knows she knows but he doesn't respect her one bit and just wants a backup benefit in case he doesn't want to put in the effort with anyone else. Atleast that's my interpretation of it.

I don't know if that kinda rich popular clique bullying actually happens but I definitely have seen the regular kind. Happens in India too. Usually resulting in some kind of trauma. And the other commenter is right. No one does anything about it. There is a book called Heaven by Mieko Kawakami that I'm currently reading that shows some of these kinds of bullying. Also there are celebrity couples in Korea that have broken up because of fan bullying. I believe some kinds of bullying has resulted i…

It does happen from what I hear. Non conformity does cause problems for the person in most asian countries. I also know people irl who've experienced such bullying. Even as adults. BUT here are my go to one's that I recommend for watching with family. Exactly. Sex for the sake of sex is just a marketing ploy from a porn obsessed creator. Like that famous someone said, everything is about sex, except sex which is about power. I feel like this is just another way for men and pickme creators to further the power the patriarchal society already gives men.

Would you believe that's among the tamest of the shows on Netflix? It's just depressing. I'm sorry to hear about that. If you're avoiding sex related media I'd recommend unsubscribing from Netflix completely. It's hell for those of us who've experienced trauma, for those of us who just want a decent show to watch with kids and family and for those who are ace. For all their inclusivity they ignore these people completely.

Lately? I feel like it's been always. I've even stopped watching any Korean or asian dramas made by them because of the ridiculous amount of sex scenes added to it. (for those that don't know sex scenes are quite rare in kdramas. If they are there they're handled very delicately. They usually show the kissing and vague undressing and immediately the morning after. Not it's like soft porn and nauseating.) I've lost the enjoyment I had watching this with my parents. I can't trust it anymore. It's …

Il a bit torn. I hate comedians making fun of women and their issues and excusing it as a joke. I'm glad someone shot him down. I don't like violence and I don't justify it so I dislike it. I wish he'd just refused to laugh instead of trying to keep it coop and then losing his cool.

Hold up. I'm not the only one? I got one when my ex was cheating (one of many times). He found out from my friend that I was suspicious so he proposed. Idiot that I was I thought THAT was why he was so secretive etc. (ignoring all the other actual evidence of cheating). Said yes. Found out later that even the ring was fake.

Water matters so much for hair. Half of mine just fell out because we had to shift to hard water while cleaning out the tanks. I'm as delicate as a bull in a China shop so that's a lost cause then. Lol. I should learn.

Is having darker hair an insult? I should try this the next time someone negs me. When someone asked me to learn to forgive people my response was "wow. It must suck to live without any self respect. Are you seeing a therapist for that?" I ended up the villian in that situation though. Sucks.

I didn't like how there were men in their 50s among women who are in their early 20s. It's like why's your dad on the same show as you? I saw that one guy was 56 and lost complete interest in the show.

Hahaha. Hope you have some great solo ones in your dress. Those, frok what I've seen, are usually blowup and display worthy. Weddings are becoming a big thing here as well. I hope no one I know does something like this. I'm too rude for my own good to maintain that friendship if they did.

I always thought spending money on a wedding made no sense but then I'm a bit of a miser that way. Wouldn't it be better to invest the money and live a comfortable life than have one fun day and spend your life paying it off. This man doesn't seem worth marrying and neither does she. I'm so annoyed on your behalf! I really hope you get your money back. 400$ is so much money!! (Atleast it is in India. It is too much to spend there as well?)

Wow. Western weddings seem to be crazy expensive for attendees as well! Indian weddings are so much cheaper in comparison (never thought I'd say that). Why does a guest have to pay 250 to attend? I don't get this at all. But she sounds like a child. Best to get your money back and get away.

Most "struggling artists" here are from rich families with parents to back em up. I met a few of em back when I was on. They're all taking care of their family businesses after their attempts at showbiz failed.

There is nothing superficial about expecting someone to give you basic courtesy. The least someone can do is look nice for a special occasion. If they can't do that then they don't respect their partner.

This. I wish someone had told me this when I was 18-19. My ex used to whisper with his friends and for some reason whenever I met them I was super uncomfortable. I'll have a read. Thanks. I think there was another book that was recommend in a now banned Radfem sub called Rape Warfare. It's very depressing but a necessary read. It delves specifically into how rape is a tactic used by warring clans and now soldiers to morally debilitate the opposing side.

Exactly my point. It's very telling on how these writers and directors see women and what their fantasies really are. Imagine the number of people these books go through before it gets made. It's very depressing ro see how many men actually enjoy this. I'm guessing the author. The script adaptor person. The director. The people who discuss things before they are confirmed. The editor. Who knows how many more. All of them were okay with these kinds of portrayals. Nauseating.

It is fantasy but GOT was, I believe, fantasy inspired by real historical events. I'm guessing GRRM placed these things in a specific time period in history. All fantasy is based on some reality and misogyny, unfortunately, seems to be the current and perpetual reality. There's an article here about it. Edit : maybe I'm just a cynic.

I see these scenes as a realistic representation of what men are like. See how they enjoy the humiliation of the young woman? That's how men are. See how they enjoy the sexual objectification and discomfort of the woman with larger breasts? That's how men are. GOT represents the absolute filth that was glorified in its time. Rape. Warfare. Murder. And obviously the humiliation and objectification of all women irrespective of their position and standing. It also shows just how badly history (and …

Anything whiny men hate I tend to check out because if they hate it then it actively goes against their interests. Women will find this place eventually. Even if the hate turns to curiosity. Not to mention a lot of men who are realistic in their view of the world know that FDS is absolutely necessary. (also most men I know suddenly turn FDSy when they have daughters. Interesting that.)

I am asexual after a traumatic experience. Seems that happens too? I wasn't aware. I had a very strong drive before that now the thought of any man touching me makes me nauseous. I also don't....help myself anymore. Asexuality is a concept that's only now being acknowledged in India so I doubt I'm over diagnosed. Most people don't even know it exists. But I get what you mean. Women are always blamed for mens faults and problems anyway.

I haven't enough experience with OLD to contribute anything honestly. Tried it for a month and met some nice people. I'm friends with most of them now. Oh man. Yeah. It's a very kebab main haddi situation. (Hindi phrase for thirdwheeling) Wish there were atleast hobby clubs or something to meet people. Maybe I should start one? Yeah I have the same issue. Since I don't drink or party like most people my age in my city I have no means of actually meeting someone who, at the very least, shares the same interests as me. Work "friends" are pickmes and I don't have any friends who know single men. I've been single for years now and probably will remain single for a while. Your writing is so entertaining. One of my male friends has a female best friend who is an ex. Surprisingly he's friends with her husband and her entire family as well. If they ever had kids he jokes about being the fun uncle. But here's the kicker. He won't sleep with her and is not waiting to (having been cheated on he hated cheaters or their partners) BUT if she so much as says one negative thing about his girlfriend, the girlfriend is gone. I can't be the only one that finds that weird right…

Yeah it's not about boundries here (my country. Not the story). Bathrooms are just always shut or locked depending on the kind of door. People push it to see if it's unlocked. (If it's the kind that's a doorknob or handle that keeps th door in place when not locked it's shut. If it doesn't stay shut when not locked it's locked.) This doesn't count for public restrooms. I'm thinking of joining a freelancer job site to start getting some work. Thanks to covid work has been bad with many companies shutting down so I'm thinking of doing this instead of just waiting for another job to workout.

They'll never stop this bullshit. Instead they'll comment about how it's unfair that women get away with it unaware that they've been getting away with it for centuries and women are only doing it in protest. It breaks my heart the most when someone posts a picture of their parents or grandparents and someone makes a sexually explicit comment about their mother or grandmother. When the ladies comment about the men it's always something like wow dad was a magnet or damn grandpa would've been popu…

India is the kind of country where they say if a husband beats you it's his right. There's a saying here that roughly translated to "even if he's a stone he's your husband even if he's a blade of grass he's your husband". What can we expect from people who think like this.

Tbh I always keep numbers saved (but blocked). This way if I create a new account on an app I can immediately block. Blocking someone on your phone only blocks calls and text messages I believe. It doesn't block them anywhere else. You gotta manually do that. The thing. Lmao. Made me think of the movie.

I second this. Do everything you ever wanted to do buy couldn't because you focussed on your ex instead. We've all done it. Let's improve ourselves now. Focus on career, art, reading, fitness, health, knowledge, friendships and everything else you've wanted.

Unfortunately because I've mostly been friends with Pickmes I've had both male and female friends be useless except maybe one or two. How does one even go about making non pickme friends! Both men and women here stop talking to their female friends once they are coupled. It's very annoying. (The women also stop talking to their male friends afaik unless they're connected in other ways -work, classes etc)

I used to be that idiot girlfriend who dared broke struggling men because money doesn't mean anything in love blah blah rubbish. Then I got dumped for a bride chosen by their family who brought a lot of wealth in as soon as they became successful. This makes me feel....less alone. This also goes to say that money doesn't make a man HV. He showed his LV side after becoming rich, didn't he.

So true. Especially for women who do all the housework and are expected by their husbands and in-laws to let them handle her finances (still common here).

Hopefully someone contributes. I'll ask a lawyer friend if she can guide me to resources so I can make a post as well. (Indian law is all kinds of confusing tbh so better that she helps)
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/06/21 03:10 AM

These are great resources. Maybe others can make one for the country they're in as well? (The legal stuff I mean). I'm sure there are people working in the legal field here in FDS and it would very useful for women in countries where women have zero support. It would help prevent cases like this

Oh the not taking her clothes off is why I liked her as well! She was the only one watchable on MTV what young. The rest were much much older and honestly felt like boring aunties to me. Now that I listen to the lyrics again I can't believe how dumb they are.

Oh I'm sorry to hear. Glad he's former and long gone. I don't think it works for all disorders or everyone. I have a binge eating disorder and earlier I was bulimic. I eat food whenever I'm stressed or depressed, so having this control line helps me not eat even if I am. Also I cook for my family when I'm fasting what kinda rubbish is he whining about, such a drama jester...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy10/06/21 02:19 AM
3

I tried that and gained 10 kilos. For me intermittent fasting works to a certain extent as long as I'm stress free. That's the hardest part since life, in general, isn't stress free.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 12:44 PM

Lol. When men this side talk about how much they respect women they basically mean they're willing to give their women permission to work so they can pocket the money. That's what they mean.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 12:25 PM

It isn't caste to caste, more like state to state. Kerala was heavily matrilineal but I think that's changing too. Depressing.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 08:24 AM
3

I was talking about the Hindu property act. Not about dowry. Should've been clearer. Speaking of Dowry though, I know enough Christians from my college who gave "gifts demanded by the groom" aka dowry. It's not just practiced by Hindus and Muslims. It's everywhere in every corner of the country irrespective of caste, religion or theism. Seriously the govt needs to crackdown on this bullshit.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 06:28 AM
8

It is no longer prevalent in a lot of educated families. Since I'm seeing so many comments talking about how bad it is I thought I'd add my experience as well. It is illegal to demand dowry. No one in our family or in our immediate circle has given or accepted dowry. The last time was when my aunt got married in the early 1980s. This is not to say it isn't practiced. Its still.illegal but people now give "gifts though the generosity of their hearts" 🙄
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/05/21 06:26 AM
2

This is no longer applicable to Hindus. The law was changed ages ago. Edit : I'm talking about property here. Not dowry.

I remember when I wanted to learn pole dancing because I wanted to improve upper body strength. Thankfully no classes existed in my city. Then I discovered calisthenics. There's isn't a calisthenics class near me either but at least that's actually empowering! Excited for one to open so I can start working on it.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/04/21 02:33 AM
12

I wish I had said this when I was "convinced" that I needed to be in a relationship. I already had the hobbies and everything else except the friendships. Female friendships where I'm from are mostly awful with women bulldozing each other for the chance at a "good" guy.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/04/21 02:30 AM
58

I just assumed it meant all relationships (including strong friendships etc). But wow just men. Somehow I'm not surprised.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy29/03/21 04:55 PM

I'd have gone with a different kind of stain.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/03/21 05:44 AM

Honestly thought he got his kid to do it or something.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy01/03/21 08:10 AM
2

Exactly. Ironically in my country it you focus on boys you're a "bad apple" and "the black sheep" but if you don't get married you're "not doing your duty" etc.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 02:10 AM
6

Yes definitely the community. What I said doesn't apply to the rich kids in my country. I think I can freely say that the majority of them are entitled and spoiled, irrespective of their gender. Middle class and lower and usually the ones where the kids are independent. I totally get spoiling the baby bit. My aunt does this to her "little" daughter who's in uni now. Lol.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/21 06:59 PM
40

I've noticed the opposite of single mother kids where I'm from. They grow up more considerate, more independent and generally more responsible. Whereas sons born to typical traditional parents (father works and mother is a homemaker) are generally more entitled and expect the women around them to "serve" them. (The girls in these situations are also expected to cater to the men of the family which is honestly ridiculous). Again, I'm generalising but it seems to be the case here.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/21 06:48 PM

That's likely true. Not to mention conservativeness.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/08/20 09:47 AM

This is an interesting article. I've actually experienced the opposite. Most "players" I know are cool with just being friends. But those guys who think sex is some sort of "confirmation of commitment" are the real psychos. Maybe different countries have different mindsets. I wonder...
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy15/08/20 06:56 AM

I've started cutting off women who watch porn. I don't need to be friends with women who are okay with the abuse and degradation of fellow women. It makes me feel unsafe with them. Would these women even stand up for a woman in their company if a man was bothering us? Or would they be okay with the abuse and degradation of their friend if it made them look like the "cool girl". I don't think so.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy12/08/20 04:49 PM

They never change in my experience. Better to cut your losses and move on. It's like those stores that suddenly improve their customer service after you decide to cancel your membership. It's not going to last. Once you change your mind it's LVM central again.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy02/08/20 05:06 AM

I watched a few episodes before giving up. Both ted and Barney made me nauseous. Of course most of my female friends like the show though. Makes me sad.

These are all red flags please don't go on this date. He's not bothered by your age because it's an advantage to him. 10 years is a big age difference however you look at it. Not to mention he's asking for your address so soon? This is setting off alarms in my head.

I've noticed a lot of doctors and lawyers are supremely entitled and gaslighty. They seem to think they're doing you a favour by just allowing you to enjoy their company. Female docs and lawyers on the other hand are perfectly normal and decent people. Not surprised. Bleargh. Edit : Typos.

I recently had a colleague give up on an important project because his wife suddenly went into labour. He called, walked out of the project (would have been good for his career) and told everyone not to bother him for atleast a week. He was in the hospital the entire time, running back home to get whatever his wife wanted and then taking care of their baby boy so she could rest (complicated pregnancy). Now he's working from home. And he hasn't complained for a second (afaik). It induces hope tha…

I've had quite the opposite experience. Most of the awful men I've met have sisters. They treat their sisters like virginal angels and all other women like trash.

I think it's just the fact that they're a lot more fun and bubbly. Not saying you're not fun. But if you're anything like me it takes a bit of effort to know me and then get to.the fun side. I'm not funny or jolly with people who don't know me. My sister is fun to be with irrespective of who she's with. She even manages to turn down annoying men with a happy jolly vibe while I tend to turn people away with my "serious face and attitude" even if I don't mean to. We are extremely similar otherwise…
