That's good, but I thought it could be condensed to like two sentences. Who is writing letters over SMS?

I'm all for making texting fun, but I feel a few fun texts back and forth and then set up the date is best. If you're texting enough to establish a game format, I think that's too much.

I think people may see, read, or remember more of the content related to what they are interested in reading about at the time. You said before you just wanted to get laid - maybe you ignored all the good content that is pro-relationship, and maybe you'll notice more of it now that your focus has changed.

I think you're splitting hairs with semantics. Dating to me, in America is any time spent with a girl with romantic possibilities, marriage material or not. This can include the casual "take a walk" or "get coffee." That's often how I will start out. I never say, "Let's go on a date." I say, "hey let's grab a drink." But I do consider these activities within the realm of "dating" if they were specifically planned to spend time in the company of the girl and maybe kiss her or more at some point.

Silence, and also taking my time (talking, moving, reacting, etc) has been big for me, both with women and other social situations.

Those are basically sarcastic responses to questions that aren't expecting a serious answer. They are fun and playful in context.

OP definitely sounds like he thinks he's above everybody, and that's not a good way to relate to people.

Not too bad. Bad dates are good learning experience. You've got a better idea what to do and not do, and the next time you'll be more at ease and able to focus on having fun. Don't worry about ordering an alcoholic drink with dinner, but stop there. You should be secure enough with your choices to do what you want. Like others say, stay away from dinner dates. I stay away for at least the first few.

There could have been chemistry, but the guy could be a pussy and not make moves. Girls aren't often the ones to initiate the kisses. But if he hasn't mustered up the balls to kiss by date 4, if she was at some point interested, she isn't anymore and has friendzoned him or is using him for free food.

I like the nice + negging. My girlfriend was sick and I volunteered to bring over some dinner for her. I showed up, she was in her pajamas, and I said, "wow you really dressed up for me today, huh?" which made her laugh. Also if you dish out the nice less often, it is much more potent when you do give it out. I don't do a lot of blatant complementing of my girlfriend, and last week I just sent her a silly "hey, I think you're pretty swell" text in the middle of the day. She told me how happy tha…

Actually, I am less interested in multiplayer games and more interested in single player games. Single player campaigns can be completed, then I'm done with that game and feel like I got an experience. Multiplayer is kind of unrewarding in the macro sense to me since you just keep on playing.

I still play, but less. Success with women is one reason, but just in general I have more constructive things to do and interests than I did back when I played a lot. I cancelled my TV service (couple hours of hulu a week is enough for me).

Agree with the other comments here so far. I'd also like to add that when in doubt, text less.

I'd friend her if you feel you wouldn't mind not being more than friends. Maybe she'll come around later, and she could be a cool friend with hot lady friends.

Don't converse via text. Most guys don't love to do this. Have a few lines of something funny, then make plans to get together.

My girlfriend just told me yesterday that she slept with me on the 3rd date (fast in her books) because I was going on a biz trip for a few days the next day and she didn't want me to forget about her while I was gone. I had gone for the gold on the 2nd date, but she allowed making out but closed down all other moves. Some sort of internal goal/barrier for her to not move that far on the second. Girls can be horny for you, but they've got reasons to abstain.

Not an overall tip from a master or anything, but more of a suggestions from a novice: You 'sound' like a wonderful dude (from a woman's perspective) who wan'ts to get to know women before sleeping with them. Nice work...that's mostly of use actually. Keep it or leave it. No big deal. You may be a rare breed. Guess what - girls who want to know a guy before they bang him are rare also! Girls are fucking horny! If they want to wait, then they are either 1) operating within society's expectations …

Hug that shit. If she tries to handshake, it's a good opportunity to tease her about how this isn't a job interview.

I found that the age of consent in my state is 16, not 18 as I thought. Watch out - some are 16 with the stipulation that you have to be within some certain amount of years age difference. There may be more to just 16. Be sure about that.

When I was in high school, I told people I was waiting for marriage. Basically I was conveniently raised Catholic (but didn't actually give a fuck) and scared of girls, so it was a nice out, both to deflect my friends' judgement, and to allow myself to be a pussy.

That's how I text as well. Also, exclamation marks can work well in place of a lot of smilies.

This type of person, stuck in oneitis and afc-ness, really makes my skin crawl now. The whiny, pushover, hopeless, nerd characters in a lot of 'quirky' comedies recently have also begun to really turn me off lately, but I was totally down with them back when I did not have my shit together. I think I recognize parts of the old me in them and it makes me sad that I was like that once (and of course still working on improving), creating a strong aversion to people with these characteristics.

I live nearby. Enjoyed that convention. I've been a couple times. There are plenty of nasty girls in inappropriate costumes, but also a ton of hotties in "pickachu" outfits that are basically yellow short shorts and bikini tops. Yaya! Hmmm game. Honestly, I doubt ANY knowledge of anime/videogames will really impress them since plenty of people there will posses that. You gotta have something different, like charisma, which most probably don't (easy - it's mostly neckbeards). I'd go in without tr…

I think your view on sex is a bit off if you think having sex with a girl who wants to have sex with you is "using" her or disrespectful if you aren't emotionally attached with her. Sex isn't something you take from a girl, or that she allows you to do to her. It's a mutually enjoyable act. Girls are just as horny as guys, and plenty will enjoy just having sex just like men stereotypically do. As long as there is nothing incorrectly suggesting that you're interested in a deep relationship with t…
