Because they appear reachable. Men lust for what they Can reach. OF gives them that impression. If I could date a model I would, but It'd cause me too much of a headache, so I'm happy with dating average girls cause that's a better match. In girls shoes, it's kinda like the girl who's calling for her Boyfriend who's constantly cheating on her. But she's so infatuated with him that she tolerate his Bs. Girl who are too attractive Can be that way. And you Know what it does to the self esteem. So t…

Yes it does but what Can he do about it ? These 10 might be very nurturing towards their 10 Boyfriend. But condescending with him because He's average. People are dual, they're not stupid programs. It doesn't mean that the girl is Bad, it means that they're incompatible because she knows she has the upper hand. If you could fire your boss you probably would. And if you hate him, you'd probably do it in a vicious way. But since in Real life he's your boss, you don't Say shit and act docile.

Just give cues it'll ne enough. If you went in a massage parlor you never went before and stood there. The masseuse would probably Ask you what kind of massage do you want ? Now you don't have to Say I want you to Mass my lower back for 128.45 seconds then do a handstand on my neck While repeateadly dropping your knee on my butt crack. You'd Say : just treat my lower back and left shoulder softly. And with that the masseuse will have cues and will try testing things out within the realm you buil…

I think that yes woman tend to vent more often. But honestly venting Can be funny. I'd rather have a partner venting to me about her shitty coworker, to crack one or two jokes over a woman who has done nothing but going in circles in the house because she isn't working.m and she finds her life unfulfilling because some way or another it will fall back on the relationship. There's a fine balance beetween being negative and venting here and there. If it's light hearted, witty and funny it's a plus…

I'm not native but one thing really bothers me. When they Say men are predators/violent/whatever. The correct wording is : The men whom are XYZ XYZy men Some men are XYZ. Then use whatever pronouns to keep it short. But at least introduce it carefully and target your message not to do collatéral damage. I Hate when they Say Men without specifying which kind are they talking. We're not evil. Some of us are, so speak about them, not us. It's like saying Blacks are thieffs. Jews have Big nose. Wome…

Espescially when there's never been a single Time and I've seen plenty of Reddit posts where a man said rape is morally okay.

The issue is the disbalance in power. Men (IN GENERAL) want to be seen as leaders. Not equals. If a women is too much to take Care of, The man will not feel worthy of her and he's right to do so. (Similarily to a woman who wouldn't find herself pretty enough for her James Bond prince charming Bad Boy Chadito Boyfriend). Not because the woman is an issue, quite the contrary. The man is not successfull enough. Now having an educated partner is a plus for most men and I'd Say even a must in at leas…

What you're highlighting is very important. People assume here that everyone is from USA on Reddit. If a middle eastern women tell Me she's getting catcalled in the streets and when rape happens they blame the victim it has much more weight than it has in western countries. Not saying that it doesn't happens at all, but I'm sure that some people are arguing unaware that they're not even from the same culture.

I don't think men do not understand female sexuality it's more about the dfference in POV When Men talk about physical attraction they're objective and using unidimensional rating It doesn't mean that men doe not find other traits attractive For example I find Amber Heard attractive however she's a bitch and I wouldn't date her but her personnality has nothing to do with her looks But at the same time I understand women POV because attraction is also very different than Physical attraction but j…

The thing is I didn't say men weren't hard working I said men were hard working when it suits them And I don't think it's a weakness because as I said both qualities have their advantanges and disadvantages If you take any esport competition for example it's male dominated yet you don't need a vagina to properly hit your keyboard and hold your mouse men tend to be more laser focus while women tend to be more good at everything both have downsides All men and boys share desire to be competitive w…

For the experience point I was implying that going for a master degree in college and then working for four years is way less interesting sometime than going to grade school following an electrician or carpenter or plumber course and then practicing for longer period If you take their salary both at thrity years old the carpenter will earn way more than the nurse even thought nursing is harder to get in and has more social standings than doing blue collar jobs

They don't care in the least about what they're doing all they care about is what title it's gonna give them Men tend to be more interested in class at least in my field But somehow women are at the top of the class because they're focusing solely on getting good results They don't care what they're studying they're just overall way more disciplined and goal oriented It sounds negative but it isn't I wish I could invest myself in uninteresting topics like the girls in my class do but I simply ca…

Women are more hard working because they're more disciplined than men They fear being seen as the bad kid more than men most of the time so they behave themselves naturally Men on the other end are all or nothing Which gives them less better GPA overall For example I had this Asian weird as fuck kid who was a genius in Maths and Physics he scored above the twenty but he was shite in english and made zero effort On the other hand we had a girl who also had max grade in maths and physics but she w…

Psychology is a frivolous field Teaching and nursing are good options on the other hand but both job even reunited pay less than being a plumber or electrician with ten year of experience Which financially speaking makes them frivoulous from a male pov because men are expected to be the earner which makes it more interesting for a great portion of men not to go to college It's rare and sad that women don't follow this route but I think it's because women are not as interested in money as men are…

Most actress haven't done surgery except for the boob part It's more of an instagram snapchat and reality tv show to do surgery for the bottom but that's mostly watched by women and spread by women influencers Surgery only look good clothed but naked it's horrible looking which is why it's more practical for instagram and cie models than actresses

What we need are good institutions where masculinity can benefit society. However this gets labelled as "patriarchy" and gets torn down. I think combative sports were made specifically throughout human history for this exact purpose. For men who are into violence to be able use it in a responsible manner.

I think sensitizing women to what the benefit for them is in male mental health will get you their attention but paradoxically not the solution to the problem as it once again objectivizes male mental health, while the opposite is the way to heal: subjetivizing male mental health. Yes absolutely, for the subjetivizing part I used the fact that i'm a man myself but to bond with their point of view. But I can understand that it's not enough given that I'm not representative of all men's experience…

I wasn't specific to dating interactions because being manly is also expected within male groups. But yes woman are a factor, if you have a woman at the house, you'll have even less time to be your 'true self' and have to put on your mask even at home. For the rejection part, I tend to agree with you, therapy won't solve any dating problem and the lower end of unattractive male will still feel really frustrated and lonely. However I do think that they're the one that needs it the most. Life was …

It's not necessarily about therapy itself, it's the act of reaching out. Our ego as men makes us want to handle everything by ourselves (and it's great, but it has limits). You can fall on a bad therapist, no doubt about it. But at least you've made the effort to go to one, and the next time you think you're about to spiral down and no one is there for you for XYZ reason, well you'll think about going to another one.

es, that would be ideal. But that takes a long time to do properly and attacking men for being men only makes things worse. Pressuring men to be masculine is equally bad as attacking them for being masculine I don't think masculinity is a bad thing as I said earlier. As a man myself I thrived on that and most of my friend did too. The issue is when it's all the time like this. But being masculine really is great and allows you to experience great things. Playing football for example was one of m…

Having a professional shoulder to lean can help you bring this touchy subject with more tact. Since men can't discuss it anywhere, if they try to do it themselves, it will be awkward. But it depends of the nature of the relationship. If we're talking about a married couple for 20 years, then maybe therapy is not the solution at this point lol, but for a recent couple, why not ? And even if there isn't relationship at all, it can still be usefull for him to keep a positive outlook.

There are gender differences in how depression and anxiety manifest themselves and this push to ignore this is causing the trouble. Well I'm a male myself even though I think it's not relevant to understand the issue.Yes they are a lot of differences in how men and women express negative emotions. Men tilt more toward physical violence than women while women tend more toward mental agression (with of course outliers existing, i.e A minority of women titling more to physical violence and A minori…

I was talking about women because masculinity is being criticized mostly by women, so I was trying to convince them that the issue is really not masculinity, but excess of it. And also, because given how convinced they are about this idea of "toxic masculinity", it's litterally the only way for them to at least look at the content of the message.

Yes I'm a man myself and I like feeling masculine as I said in the disclaimer. However, constantly being seen as the reliant, strong, stoic leader sometimes gets overwhelming. It's really not about being masucline, being masucline is GREAT, but it's about not having a window to vent for yourself that's "toxic". As I said it's only the excess that's making it toxic, but take everything in excess and it will always become toxic.

Free awalkingprimate28 karma I think part of what you're saying is true. The quality of therapy sessions is exclusively based on how good and unbiased therapist is and sadly you need to try him to see if he's competent enough. However it is still better than offering nothing. And lastly the goal is not solely to offer therapy to fix a given issue, but it's about taking the habit of asking for help when it's needed and learning to rely on other people which is very hard for men to do (Me first gi…

First of all, I don't think society or women shame men for not being Chad. I think you're being way over the top with this assumption. Secondly, sexual preferrences are rigged in human biology, both for men and women. Trying to limit the expression of those instinct is achievable only by constraint and force. And the second we allow for freedom of choice, those instinct will express themselves once again. The goal is not to force people to swallow the "acceptance" pill because it will simply nev…

You don't get to decide if you're attractive. First no one said you exist to be attractive, that's what you're understanding of my message, but I never said that. I simply said that you're attractive or u aren't and that's not your decision to make. It's like saying I consider that the earth is square despite all evidence showing that it's round. men do not have status or charisma or money, so that's pretty much irrelevant. Unattractive men are unattractive. Just like women Average people are fine. They'll just have to lower their standards to other similar people. As bo burnham says -- lower your expectations a few/because prince charming will never settle for you I'm not saying that they do, i'm saying it can be acquired, you've read all my comment all wrong. Difference is when a man in unattractive it can be compensated for by status, charisma and money, women don't have that opportunity that's what was behind the message. But yeah if both men and women with average status and charsima go into the dating field, they'll both have a really hard time. Lastly when I meant unattractive I meant face wise, because weight for everyone can be lost so that's a non factor in this comparison

Because that's literally the concept of attractiveness To attract people based on your appearances You can deny this but it won't solve your issue if you're unattractive no amount of body positivity will make you attractive And lastly it's not solely for sex it can simply be to flirt with whatever gender you're into Now it can help if you have weak mental health but ultimately it's only temporary actively working out and improving your wardrobes and lifestyle will give much better results than t…

That's the greatest comment i've read so far well put and you took ennough height to oversee the structure of the issue That's a power struggle and what needs to stay in place is a system that favor fairness over human characteristics or we will enter in a vicious and ugly game that has happened many time over history of pointing the finger at one demographic segment and make them wear the hat for all the evil in the world and retaliate

No men has ever blamed patriarchy for their financial misery at most they blame capitalism and at best they stfu man up and work harder it's only a minority of women i'e feminist whom are prevalent on this forum who blame men for being opressive not realizing that capitalism doesn't care about your gender Being blame for all the evil in the world while disregarding that the system in place doesn't spare its victims based on gender but solely on money and education is dishonest and demoizing for …
