Go for what you want. If you feel like you deserve a promotion at work or want to start your own business, go and do it! From personal experience, texting a lot can have a negative impact on their attraction toward you. If they text you they want you to initiate a date and/or feel your attention. Obviously this changes once you state being bf/gf, but in the beginning the phone should only be used to set dates. Don’t text all day, set a date and stop texting. Keep things playful when your texting, use “lol” or “haha” so she knows you’re being playful.

Thanks man! But you can do this too. There’s always gonna be nerves, I was more nervous than usual because it had been so long since I did an approach. Who cares if you just graduated! Start slow, just say hello to random people, once that gets boring, start a conversation with random people, then focus on starting random conversations with only girls, then once you feel comfortable ask for the number at the end.
