What we have to notice is that she said "wouldn't you be able to read the messages?" That's kind of a red flag, again, it could be nothing but that's just my two cents. That's the crux of where I'm at. I could read her messages at any time. Why would it matter then? It's been two years, plenty of time to see what my attitude and intentions are. But at the same time, her reaction could be nothing or could mean something.

At this point, not sure. What I'm seeing is some people are a lot more private then I am and more introverted. I have until now not seen any red flags, but I know better than to assume I'm some golden snowflake and above reality.

It's thanks to TRP that I'm not butthurt in the first place. The first kernel of knowledge I learned was to completely place all power over my life into my own hands. Me a couple years ago could've gotten so psyched out. Fuck all that noise.

Can you elaborate on why you feel that way? I happen to have a different attitude towards my own privacy. My friends/family, we're pretty open people. But I also don't assume that the world must copy me to fit my paradigm. So if you could humour me on why you value that, I'd appreciate it.

Answer: Here there are several cliffs and valleys between parts of town where there is cell phone reception. Not every cliff or ravine is remote. Yes, trust is crucial. But I also don't think it's irreparable. What do you make of transparency, tho? Right or wrong.

I've had this happen too. Luckily some people I've dated could have the common sense that what came before them was irrelevant. Others didn't. But my main point is that it never bothered me. For the sake of discussion, if your ex had seen your stuff or gone through it and was 100% ok with it, would you still feel the same about your privacy? I'm trying to see if your attitude is based on her reaction or based on the principle of privacy.

I can see what you mean. I don't take this as meaning she intends to cheat, per se. I don't take it to mean anything in particular. I can get an inclination and delay a conclusion until I've given it due diligence. Never jump to conclusions, but never ignore my gut. What threw me off is we have direct access to each others shit all the time. We've had ample time to rifle through the others belongings. To clam up here, now, for those reasons... not sure what to make of it. On one hand, if she wer…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
