As a 19 year old, I can attest that most 18-21 year olds are not virgins.

I'm in no way an advanced sedditor, but as a fellow student the most useful tip I've learned is meet everybody. At parties, in classes, wherever. Every additional person you know that likes you increases social proof, networking, chances to meet new girls, etc etc.

Awesome work dude. I've had those nights too where you're just 150% in-state and couldn't give a fuck who knows it. The multiple #/k-close nights are the best. Getting into that mode is where I always sputter out, sometimes I just lack the motivation. Edit: spelling

Was this sheer luck or did I actually strike something? "aww, thanks, your very handsome." If she was being genuine, that's probably why it was so easy.

Well if he's any good, he should be the one telling you what to take away from it.

Honestly, if you're going to prom together, she's probably somewhat interested unless it was a pity date. Like what the other responses say, an easy escalation is touching her lower back, pulling her in closer, looking into her eyes, and just going for it if it feels appropriate for the moment. If you can't get that, I have a few other ideas. My post prom party had beer pong, and there's always the "if I sink this cup... you have to give me a kiss!" line which has pretty good success rates. Ther…

In all honestly, are you attractive? Not trying to be a jerk here, but if he's confident/flirty and you're not attractive, he probably has more appealing options.

By opening with "I thought you were really fucking sexy. how many guys have hit on you tonight?", weren't you basically just doing the exact same thing? I can't imagine one of the other five guys not saying anything along those lines. "How many guys have hit on you tonight?" seems like the most popular 'pick up line in the book.' Do you think it was the eye contact that made you different? Also, I'm not trying to dock your FR be a dick at all, if I'm coming across that way. Just curious what you…

Thanks a lot, I really appreciate the comments. That "no kiss game" seems like real gold, I'm going to try it out next time out for sure.

I think you might be right, looking back on it. I'll be more aggressive next time out for sure on this to get a better feel for what I can and cannot do.

Wasn't really the goal. I have a roommate and everything, so I try to be courteous and not bring girls home. I could have for sure though.

"myself changes based on who I'm with, unfortunately" There's your problem. How about you start off by being a genuine person. Then people will start to like you, as they probably think you're two-faced judging by the way you wrote this up.

Really enjoyed this read. I often find myself in similar situations, where I feel another guy is trying to leapfrog me to impress the group. This is definitely going to help me identify tactics and combat them.

"Hey, is the internet working for you?" How did she respond to this? I feel like if I said this to a girl, she would just say "Uhm, what?"

Well if you drink just beer (like I usually do) it's not a problem. I actually find beer to be a better social drink, as you have a greater control on how intoxicated you get and can slow down when you start feeling it more easily.

Actually it does matter physiologically. The carbonation in beer deteriorates the lining of your stomach which allows stonger liquor to enter your blood much more quickly. Your body doesn't like alcohol entering it's blood this quickly, which makes you yak.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
