Check out a podcast called Men's Dating Mastery. There's an episode about rejection therapy, which is what you are suggesting. I found it very helpful. If you like it, there is a lot of other great content in that podcast as well.

I said fuck it I can't believe no one has said this, but this is the most important part of this story, and this is why this worked. Probably better to just cut contact to be honest. My ex wife was/is like that, and after 8 years of attempting to correct it, I feel comfortable saying that some people are just like that. Consider "taking responsibility for her shit" to be a quality in a girl that you're looking for, and cut out those who don't have it.

Trust me, I get it. But the problem is that you can't really get yourself out of that mindset until you get out there. Congrats man. I've understood it conceptually for a good while now, but it's still easy to get worked up and lose sight of the big picture. It gets a little easier every time I fail, but right now my own willpower is the only thing keeping me going. I imagine it'll be much easier to really act on that mindset once I actually start getting laid again.

I wish I had a good answer for that. Hopefully a more experienced user will see this post and give you what you are looking for. All I can do is continue to emphasize that you not make a big deal about the situation, or this one girl in general. Even if it was actually so awkward that she won't wanna hang out with you again, that's exactly why abundance mentality is a thing. If she doesn't wanna see you again over something so trivial when you aren't even sweating it, it's her loss, right?

Act like it never even happened. Definitely don't text her about it. It shows her that you're internalizing it and making a big deal out of it, when really what you should be doing is telling yourself "next time." Remember, she's pacing you. Don't apologize for expressing what you want. It sounds like she was into you and is now pacing you. Just roll with it. If she's really into you she'll let you kiss her eventually as long as you don't give up. If she isn't, then it'll become obvious soon enough and you can move on.
