I post them bc I worked for them. It shows I dedicated the time to reach those numbers. I’m not here for attention. You’re about tough love? I’ll give you some- you’re a jackass who brought my father into this under the guise of a shittest. Weakness and conformity? I was pointing out an observation I’ve made of this sub. You couldn’t handle it.

By we I was more so referring to the modern church, which includes us whether WE like it or not. It sucks but it is what it is, we have to overcome.

This is the type of content I made this post about. If my friends and I talked to each other like this we’d be throwing punches.

Ok you want me to keep it real with you? I suffered a fracture in my L5-S1 that lead to spondolythesis. I could hardly walk and literally could not bend over. I’ve basically had to start from scratch. That’s why my stats had not progressed in terms of numbers. In my old post, I was in realty 15 lbs heavier than what I was. I did not know bc i had not weighed myself recently. Considering I’ve been in a steep deficit since early January, the fact my lifting numbers haven’t changed other than my sq…

We (the church) need to know when to issue tough love and and when to be gentle. We don’t know the difference and often use them interchangeably. When men need to disciplined we are soft, and when men need help, we bully them.

You literally don’t know me and never will. Learn a little bit about what you talk about before you speak.

I appreciate the advice. Thank you. This is something that I will take into account.

Bc this sub has so much potential to help foster masculine leaders in the church.

Bro go read the comments on any of the post of this sub. I’m not trying to be smart with you, but to me it is rampant on this sub.

Bullying works when there is legitimate constructive criticism involved in it. If someone is just being a dick for the sake of it then nothing gets accomplished. I’ve made and continue to make the changes needed even though it’s hard. My point is this sub is becoming of internets nerds posing as alphas to talk down to people and give advice.

There is a difference between tough love and being a dick. I feel like this sub blurs the lines. There is sometimes little advice given and more insults.

I agree with what I think you were trying to say and I get it’s supposed to be tough love, but you are coming from a sense of superiority

First off, I don’t want to hear something because it sounds good. I want to hear the truth. Second, I do not take advice from them. They ask me why I don’t do certain things like hook up with women, and I tell them why. They did not believe me until a girl literally threw herself naked at me and I told her no. Third, I am not justifying an inclination to sin, and I am CERTAINLY NOT BLAMING GOD. I know what is right and wrong, I have just been facing a lot of temptation. It feels like I am playin…

I feel like I become too “me” oriented and not enough God oriented.

You are exactly right. I have had conversations with some of them about Jesus, and they know why I will not hook up with anyone, drink like them, etc, but I am not perfect and there has definitely been an influence.

I want my mission to be to glorify God and to live out the Great Comission, but if I am being honest it has been about making myself the best I can be. I feel as if I am being pulled apart by two desires.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
