I... I think it's like Tomato/Tomato. 6 is equivalent to half a dozen so he's saying that your emphasis and his are equivalent. My mom used to say "Six to one, Half a dozen to the other" when I was a young boy, pretty much meant it the same way.

I'm not going to add too much because I don't know exactly how much to get into but I recommend working your way through the becomeaman program. There's a link to that subreddit on the sidebar. Sort by oldest and work your way through the material and challenges.

I think you are looking at this phrase differently than I am. The way I see it working out/exercise gives you the same result every time. A small gain in physical fitness. Almost unnoticeable in just one session but it is there. When you continually pile those small gains together you get in better and better shape that you do notice.

Thanks for the advice; I'm working database management for a start up non-profit (super easy SQL coding) and working a twelve hr a week internship for a local programming company. I think I want to work in database long term, I really like it so far. Edit: I also have two apps on the Apple store and one on the Play Store. Didn't really enjoy writing them but I wanted something tangible to show in interviews
