I am in the same boat but my car only has 159000 miles on it :) I have a really hard time justifying to myself buying anything that requires debt. I also appreciate my freedom and living simply to much versus working . Formerly I was a high paid engineering manager at a Fortune 500 tech company. Well no one has resorted to violence :) so, so far so good. Lying only promotes more lying , so I am happy with the honesty approach. Only wish I had started it young. I am sure I wouldn't have gotten married at 21 because of other people's expectations :) Thanks again for your post and take care

Yes thanks. I just look at it more of being totally and always honest. Don't be cruel to people by saying something unsolicited that is honest to hurt them. Like"hey you are fat". However if someone asks my opinion I am always honest, even no white lies. So I think we are saying the same thing. Thanks
