if your self worth is pinned on "oh I'll achieve x and then I'll be worthy", then thats an issue. You'll start defining yourself with just those achievements in that particular area, and the next one might be harder.

recognizing its a habit is a good thing! You need to replace your "fix" with something else less harmful, as your brain is looking for the release of happy chemicals - so you can't just skip it cold that easily.

the only opportunity for change lies in the time between a negative occurence and the reaction to it. Meditation, Prepping for such situations, having a stoic mindset (prepping for and accepting for worst case scenario) help. What you're trying to do is like poker - to play your hand with a cool head.

yes, IMO where Self Esteem really comes from, is making progress in fighting your challenges. It is a mental thing but it changes through actions that move you forward.

To have a habit (and not as a rare occassion) where you revert to instant gratification (porn, instagram, reddit, masturbation) the moment you are faced with negative feelings. To not have any personal or professional plans for your future growth, and even if you do, you aren't acting on them. To derive self worth from some particular thing (like your work, or how much money you make, or how fit you are) instead of you as a whole.

I don't think if you changed Ferguson with some other talk show host, this formula would work. He is quick witted, and does have a charm. Granted, they dial it up for tv, and the guest always plays along, but it can't happen if there was nothing to go on in the first place.

I think you gotta keep up the banter, and keep it subtle. Make him think like it was his idea to ask you to get a drink w/ or w/o friends, while making it easy for that situation to happen.

Its home turf! You get to decide the environment - that means you can set up things that allow you to show your best, most relaxed, fun self! So its not just what you cook, its everything before, during and after.

I've seen a few posts here and videos on youtube which addresses this specific question. To me they seem to be good shortcuts to know, but not the real thing. The real thing is that you learn the language. You don't need to prove that you're one of them, you can be attractive specifically because you are different to them. However, knowing their language, in the best case scenario, indicates that you understand where they are coming from.

They need to feel that vibe of attraction, and not just friendship. If you create that vibe and then ask them, they will get that its a date and not a dinner.

My sense is that you're so invested in trying to improve yourself that you are forgetting that the other person, no matter how "alpha", has their own hopes, dreams and fears. Sure, you are being consistent with your "ideal" personality/mindset in your responses, but you also need to respond to where they are coming from.

Inspired by yours, I have enlisted my affirmations: Affirmations Who Am I 1. My super power is that I say things a person has never thought or heard before. 2. I know what I am looking for in a woman. 3. The only true source of self worth is progress, you can’t chase it in any form or shape. 4. Action over inaction (waiting, second guessing, worrying). What I do 5. I have a responsibility to decide the value I put to my attention. 6. I will happily decline invitations to be affected by negativit…

What people really meany by "being yourself" is that you should let go of trying to make moves that look like an effort. That you should be how you are when you are really having fun, instead of trying to me impressive. In that sense, I wanna say, be yourself. I think you have a fear of failure because you doubt yourself whether your sober self can pull it off. I'd say, seek that fear, let it come to you and then face it. Its amazing how the thing we fear is more crippling in our imagination tha…

I got a bit uncomfortable at the part where she said no. I am not a person who can read body language to a point where I am confident of what I understood and make a move based on that, even if its directly opposite of what she said - because clearly if I read it wrong it would be terrible for both of us.

This seems like one of the hardest thing to do. Everyone OP has listed has spent years trying to find their own voice to create a truly unique outlook for the world, which is then presented to us with all the mastery of their craft. How exactly would you go about providing a unique experience?

Its coz you're looking for a shortcut. But you're missing out on many positives if you just go with a shortcut. you'll be found out that you're dancing only to get laid, very soon, because people know when you don't enjoy something for its own sake. But if they see you know your shit and enjoy dancing, they're gonna see a person doing what he's passionate about and enjoying himself. They'd be attracted to that. What is normal though? Everyone has their demons. The best advice is to be able to build systems around you that help you achieve your goals in life. (e.g what can you do to be purposeful and productive? what help can you take when you're feeling miserable? What solutions work for you when you're facing mental issues?) Build systems around knowing your self to create a stable base for your life. The objective is to figure out a blue print to make your day happy and purposeful. Once you have a de…

Your goal should be to make a deep connection - be it romantic, friendly, or sexual. To be able to do that you need to be comfortable with discomfort. Why? Because some of the most important things in this dance require it - to be able to handle a rejection calmly, to be comfortable showing your true self to the girl even if it makes you feel vulnerable, to be bold enough to lead when you get an indication that you are connecting, to fearlessly take ownership of your desire instead of being asha…

hey /u/fullmetal426 tagging you because I really wish that you can see this. 1. Before you speak, really deeply listen: It means find out the values or the root qualities that is the reason behind their thinking or emotion. 2. Make sure they are ready to listen: Don't broach the subject until they do. You may lead them to it, but you can't be the one bringing it up without any context. 3. Hey, but this is a given right, that you will be judged based on your physical attractiveness before you even get a chance to show your personality. Since I have seen people who are on extremes on scales of physical attractiveness be together, I believe that something happened that allowed them to break that judgment on looks.

Don't ask her out when other people are around since she's at work. Especially if her boss/superior or other customers are around. But at the same time don't be too conscious that you're hitting on her at work. Ask her out when her shift gets over. Or at least give her a chance where she can be discreet about it. If you're a regular at that gym and are friendly with everyone there, it won't look creepy if you start talking to her for long periods. If you're there with friends you can start telli…

Am I paraphrasing correctly in that you say that girls are put off before even giving you a chance because of your physique? If that's the case, then game for you means that you show them something about you that makes them judge you on more than your physique. I mean instead of saying hi, you start off with something that completely takes their attention away from the physique and onto what you want - because that's when the game actually starts for you. remember that they are humans too. They will pick up your discomfort. Some things you could try: Start talking with a purpose. E.g- with this person I want to see how long I can small talk, with this person I want to try saying whatever comes to my mind instinctively etc. Make it a game. Imagine that they just finished pooping, and tried to hide their fart in public right before they met you. I'd recommend to not be so invested in her. Also, the more attracted she will be to you, the less she's likely to flake. So next time you chat or bump into her, don't immediately bring up logistics, but try to gradually build up her attraction meter. How do you do this? I don't know it to a science, but I guess there's a lot of posts here about it.
/r/seduction21/06/17 06:09 PM

Clearly she is looking for signs that you are trustworthy, and not a psychotic killer/jerk/creep. If you continue to keep chatting, you should try to highlight things that can establish that you are a good guy. Additionally, if you suggest to meet, you should set up logistics in a way that she feels safe.

For me it depends on attraction. If a girl asks me out before attraction is built then I feel she's desperate, especially if the girl is average looking. On the other hand, if the chemistry is building up and she asks me out, its a super turn on. Twice so far girls have asked me out and I just didn't feel anything.

the idea is to own it instead of trying to be "i can explain! it isn't what it looks like". Acknowledging it the first chance you get shows that you know that its something that raises question, and you aren't trying to hide something. How do you own it? You address it in a way that is consistent with who you are instead of letting it go to awkward territory. The less you are trying to project and the more you are bringing them to your true self, you will be more confident. Confidently and humor…

Since you've mentioned killing men, I am assuming it is legally with the armed forces or something similar. Why do many women have a thing for men in uniform? Soldiers don't speak about all gory details of their life, but the woman can look at the soldier and see immediately that he is different from a regular man.

You need to be in a playful frame of mind before you start talking to girls. Act as if you have a running inside joke with her. Once you are relaxed you will be able to set the mood for a conversation. You won't be thinking with only rationality when you are already in a fun mood. Secondly you need to read real well how girls react to you. OP you're kinda right, but you're reading it wrong. "Looks don't matter" means that unless you have inner game, it won't matter how good you look. A confident, authentic guy who looks average has a better chance of getting what he wants than a good-looking guy who uses PUA tricks to fake it but has no core, and who hesitates because it will be obvious that he is trying too hard. Since inner game is about improving the quality of your own life, it's encouraged that you stay fit. But your drive an…

I don't know how to feel about it, lots of famous people think Greene is authentic. He sure does his research and he has plenty of verifiable examples occurring in history to back his claims up. Manson talks about his own experiences yes, but that isn't the only way to digest observations about attraction. I take what makes sense from both and leave out things I can't or won't do.

My comment is a p.s to /u/recyclablebanthas 's precise comment. Robert Greene's advice is about being unpredictable, exciting. Its about creating thrill. Your persona is that of a compelling enigma. Mark Manson's advice is about showing your vulnerabilities, about having enough confidence that you can be direct when everyone else is being shy about their intentions. Your persona is that of an authentic and confident man. I see this as two sides of a coin. You can't be blunt, direct and boring al…

You need to take ownership of your choices and have confidence in them. You are who you are, and you will not be apologetic for your likes and dislikes. You also need to learn the art of story telling and communication. You have to make them interested in your stuff and you should show the excitement on your face when you talk about your likes for it to transfer to the other person.

There is a clear moral line for you that you are comfortable with but you haven't discovered it yet which is why it has become a binary issue of polyamory and monogamy. Asking pointed questions about what you would and wouldn't be comfortable doing (and what would your reaction be if your partner did those things) would help define that line. Yes, I am against both extremes (feminazism and misogyny). Lets take up your example (black militants) about violence being justified because "righteousness". If both parties (who of course think its they who are the victims) start violently fighting against each other, it no longer remains a fight for ideology. Simply the side with better arms and more capacity of violence wins, regardless of who was "right". Please explain what the black militants should do if the whites / government simply er…

On the contrary, I am pretty clear from the get go that there are extremes on both sides. Just like you say that I am pointing only at the worst of the feminists to generalize feminism, you too are doing the exact same thing with TRP. TRP members themselves are diverse, including the moderates and the extremists, and they interpret its code their own way. TRP says you take what is useful to you, and think for yourself. So, when I see TRP claiming that it's okay to lie to women in order to get them to sleep with you, and I know their views on single mothers , their desire to return us to a time when women were slut shamed doesn't look at all innocent. I didn't realize until you mentioned Malcolm X and King that you feel TRP is the enemy and it oppresses you. I was assuming its something that ticks you off, but want to understand it better. I don't think that King's example matches well in this case when I said fire begets fire. He was a pacifist. I don't buy it. Starting off from an extreme stand point automatically means that there will never be a resolution or mutual common ground. Worse still, is when people start believing the hyperbole - feminazis hate men, feeling they are the victims; extreme red pillers hate women and think the same. Direct attacks usually get a better response than positive reach-out. Fire begets fire. But if I'm reading it right, seems like that's what you want?

Two points: I am very aware of extremism on both genders, its proportion of believers among the masses and the impact it has on them. You're making a discussion about "me" and "my" views instead of the view itself, while I have made no comment that is personal to you before the precedence.

"maybe try getting off the internet" stop being condescending, and explaining to me how the real world works. I believe if you were male and I was female the term would be "mansplaining". You're looking at ideas from a pessimistic point of view. the extremes on both sides have a problem in their reasoning wow who would've thought that to be possible. Feminazis and TRPs are both alienizing and politicizing the sexes against each other. If you had only two choices, you'd rather be oppressive than be oppressed.

Straight answer to OP: The growth of beliefs always starts with a small group. Eventually more people start believing it, and finally it reaches mainstream. The decision to accept it is personal, regardless of whether that belief is held by a minority or majority. . There are also cases when the woman accuses the guy of rape/sexual violation and does not press criminal charges. The act of going through filing a case and going to trial can be lengthy and traumatic. But not filing charges leads to men often being publicly presumed guilty without their chance in court. In effect the guy is a accepted sex offender in public opinion. In terms of work, most companies don't want that PR nightmare, especially if the accused is proven guilty and immediately fire the…

Sure, but shouldn't this be the first disclaimer when discussing RP marriage? That hey girls while you're advised to find a marriage minded man, the RP community recommends men against marriage. The point of make-up is to improve appearance. Using is "sometimes" or using it "for the benefit of others" or because "it's commonly accepted" doesn't change that truth right? These same reasons can be used for what you say is manipulation. "everybody in the world lies to some degree at least, and its commonly accepted", "I only lie sometimes ...and its for the benefit of others", "I don't need lies, I am just fine without them", "people like to hear things that sound good"

I've fucked up so many times before by leaving compliments hanging and looking like this uptight uncool socially awkward guy. But now that you know chances are low, try the most hilarious, absurd, risky stuff and enjoy!

These are some ideas, do what you want with em. The best time to try is when you're a newbie. Go fuck up! come up without outrageous compliments and vomit them out with full confidence and have fun. And if you have a lousy night rub one out that night. If your compliments have some really good pushes like Jack Nicholson or Russel Brand quoted above, they can get you out of a tricky situation in a conversation.

thats exactly what I was talking about, you are not trying to raise their value, you're displaying your own qualities. You're using push-pull. I suspect you didn't read through my post just skimmed through it.

I agree with the idea that everything is transactional (assuming that by everything you mean most things). There's nothing wrong with that. The trick is of course to identify situations in which you treat someone else in their human nature. Moreover, with humans, transactions are not always deterministic. For example, the transaction can change who it favors, the "object" can change its value, and unexpected situations may arise. The thing that makes us human over mere animals is our creativity …

A hobby isn't recommended to get away from loneliness, rather, its something you do because you're passionate about it, something so interesting to you that you enjoy working on it alone for hours way more than socializing. In fact, hobbies can help you bond with other like minded people and that's how you make new friends. Being good at a hobby gives you personal satisfaction, confidence and something unique to talk about than the next guy. Women and men both love a guy who is passionate about …

TRP is most applicable to your mom's husband here. He is the one who got cheated on, who fathered somebody else's child. He probably lived in an unhappy marriage till the day he died. Even after his death, his legacy is that you will never look at him as your father even though he thought you're his child. Blue Pillers hate TRP for its alleged misogyny and alleged shaming of beta males, but when you look past the posts of salty teenagers, TRP really is about helping blue pillers see the light an…

AWALT means that cunning is a natural female instinct to protect and sustain. Just like men use aggression to protect and sustain. Cunning and aggression are intrinsic in respective genders. So AWALT. But if you are trying to stick for absolutes for the sake of it, then yeah, not all women are like that. Some women are born without limbs, some are born in absolutely oppressive conditions, some remote tribe might have women play a different social role, and these extreme factors might override na…

I believe that most women in most cases will have instincts that are specific and typical to their gender. Just like most men are born with aggression, which is linked to testosterone levels.

N count is impossible to determine, if you don't already know that person for a while. If I ever did find out that n-count was very high, then I wouldn't consider LTR, regardless of sex on first date. If I had sex on the first date I would still consider LTR.

The vast majority of subscribers are not active regular participants. Since the vast majority are not regular participants, clearly we can't know their views unless they become active in that thread. Their views cannot be approximated through a guilty-by-association false logic. That leaves us with (what you say is) the active minority. Ergo, you don't have a problem with the actual passive members (= 99.998% of the community), only with the active members who up-voted in that thread. And yet yo…

if you want to go by numbers, current up-votes represent 0.002% of community. I would wager that number might even be higher because many including me have down-voted it. But for this post to represent a sizable chunk of the entire community, lets say it should have at least 5% participation? Now lets assume that a feminazi goes on an anti-male diatribe which is insensitive and hurtful to men, and 5% of feminists agree to it. By your logic, this would a be good reason to ALL feminists shut them …

Clearly Feminists and TRP members both see extreme members and extreme behavior and generalize it to the entire community. /u/COPCO2 views indicate that kind of generalization of TRP which I disagree to. The OP of the quoted post has a right to say what he wants but that doesn't mean the entire community accepts it. I and many TRPers on PPD walk away from this kind of misogyny. TRP is based on the core principals, which have many times been discussed here. They might be worded in a way an outsid…

The article doesn't state (and doesn't know) whether there was a second prenup. It also speculates that someone like Musk would definitely have made a prenup. So chances are that he won't be fucked. Moreover, while I don't know California Marriage Laws, there are some facts which will work in his favor: - he hasn't cheated - they don't have kids together - she is educated, is able to work, and earns plenty on her own. That doesn't mean that I live in la-la land. Pretty sure he's gonna get divorc…

When TRP posts are cringeworthy, I feel suddenly disconnected to the theory. It gets worse when I write my opinion and people straight away go for the nuclear: "you must be a feminist or BP". I have read this book and want to affirm to its benefits for development. Apart from the business and entrepreneurship examples in the book, I want to give examples where you can apply the theory of the book to self-development: Developing a new habit. I know I want to lift. However the knowledge of what I need to do itself hasn't helped me cultivate the habit. Breaking up the goal (fitness in this case) into small achievable steps to experiment (new lifting techniques, increasing weights etc.) …

"The Prince" is a classic. It is rich in RP principles. That being said, this is such a filler post. OP you used to spend more money on women and now spend less. Obviously you are going to be perceived as miserly. That is such an obvious and simple thing it does not do justice in its correlation with the myriad of ideas that The Prince has.

I spoke for both scenarios - Case 1. She "settles" for a beta male who can provide her stuff. In which case children if any, are either raised without fathers or in a beta environment. Case 2. She keeps spinning alphas (because she can't resist chad), in which case either she is single and goes through all alphas or she is in a relationship with a beta and cheats. Again children if any, would be raised without a father. So conclusion is the same, men don't trust women, women don't trust men, and…

Sure, I see what you mean that as a man grows older, he only becomes wiser, richer and more confident. But, I dunno, maybe you're talking about the early 60s where you're still in touch with the current generation, have your health going for you, have vitality to spend your wealth and enjoy your health....there's also the late 60s and early 70s where you face potential health issues, you realize the pointlessness of some of the things young people do and don't even talk in the same way the curre…

I'm a male. I agree to most of the ideas of TRP - self growth, dominating the woman, not being a emo beta. But I disagree with some ideas of TRP and therefore question them, opening a dialogue. My idea is simple: I disagree on TRP theory on one thing: Creating a family and sustaining it is the most alpha thing you can do. A new generation in the likeness of you and the partner you have chosen, who look up to you for nurture and provisions. Being lone wolf is great in your 20s to 40s, but being a single womanizer in your 60s to 70s trying to get a woman in her 20s is just creepy. Instead of OP's suggestion, do the opposite, assume every woman you meet is at least a faithful woman, if no…

so you're free to cheat on her even though she hasn't cheated on you, because you she will cheat on you sometime in the future? And even if she wasn't planning to cheat on you, she might as well do it, since she knows that you are sure that she will, right?

I want to put forward a hypothetical scenario, inspired by this post. Please comment as per TRP ideology. Suppose a young full blooded male follows TRP rules, is a proper alpha male, and as a result, gets action with hot women. He is naturally/biologically inclined to bed as many hot women as possible, because that's what a chad does. He has read multiple stories like this post and knows a lot of true AWALT incidents. So, believes he doesn't want relationships, he'll just keep boning hot women. …

We can have a list of logical responses for situations when women explicitly act to oppress men (instead of aiming for equality). things I got from here so far are: reverse the roles to hypothesize a situation where men would have unfair advantage in female dominated fields. Broaden their perspective to include all STEM fields, including roles women might not prefer, such as petroleum engineering. Can broaden the field further to include jobs like fire fighters, miners, public trash cleaners arg…

lots (most?) of Indians who are henpecked and pussy whipped. The same issue is true in China. In what ways specifically? How did you conclude that a lot of them are this way? Indian women from middle class and above families are probably some of the most entitled cunts on the planet. In what ways are Indian women "entitled cunts"? How are they more entitled than say, a middle class and upward white woman?

I am not saying anything deep, I am saying it in the literal sense of the word. I get to eat 10 different kinds of cuisines where I live, and I can take that for granted, because of the cultural diversity that was allowed to flourish in America. TRP is great when it comes to creating a mindset for understanding female psyche and responding with alpha behavior. But, when it segues into anti-muslim, anti-black, anti-asian, white supremacy stuff, I cringe hard. IQ doesn't have as much a relation to religion and race as it does with education, environment and genes. Silicon Valley, Wall Street, NBA, Jazz, HipHop, KungFu everything has come from prosperity though diversity.
