She made absurd claims and that's all it took for the court to put a temporary restraining order on me. It took her two hours to make it happen and I've been in limbo for 6 weeks now. The hearing isn't till the end of next week. Completely unjust.

Nope. Only baseless accusations in the first order, completely out of nowhere. It's crazy that she can do that and I lose everything plus get threatened with jail for having grandma drop off cookies for the girls (an actual thing that happened because I added "mama" in addition to the kids names.)

I appreciate the support. She really could have gone the amicable route that won't cost all the money in attorney's fees, but she'd really bad at decision making.

Patients isn't my area of expertise. My lawyer is annoyed with me trying to speed things up.

Even though there's never been any or even the threat of violence, my attorney says that the wife can just claim I hurt her and I'm headed straight to jail. She already made absurd claims in the RO. 100% chance that she'll do it again.

There's a restraining order, but if she doesn't finalize an agreement, it's going to get lifted in a week and I will go home. To be smart, I'll bring a witness or two so she can't claim that I hurt her.

I'm not even sure how to do that. I have no cards. The truth seems to be basically worthless.

Appreciated. I quit drinking a couple of days after I found out and I've been going to the gym daily. I want this all over as fast as possible. RIP the bandaid off and get on with a new stable reality. Also, my attorney kinda sucks. I hate the idea of starting over with another, but I think I might need to do that.

The circumstances have to matter right? The wife initiated the divorce. I did nothing to warrant it. We weren't drifting apart (at least outside of her mind.) I would work on fixing things right now if she'd let me. I will tell the kids that. I'll also tell them to love and respect their mother.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
