I'm not trying to justify circumcision - i suffer daily with its consequnces - just trying to bring some moderation to the hate-fest by bringing a broader p.o.v. into it

Humour is a funny thing - and I dont mean funny ha ha - and I think you're being a little over-sensitive about this. Even if you compare the two, female circumcision is clitorectomy, quite invasive whereas male circumcision is removal of skin, with that in mind it can shed some light on why those women find it acceptable to joke about male circumcision. Sure, it's thoughtless and callous, but by the same token we live in a society where millions of innocent animals are slaughtered - losing their…

it goes back to that Buddhist redpill post that was stickied a few days ago, he said women are base, fickle, ungrateful and deceitful. If you value or trust her enough see if she's open to discussing the consequences of going through with it, that might strengthen her intellect and help her temper her base nature. Shrug. At least acknowledge she was honest with you about her feelings. .... and maybe ask if she's already gone ahead and done that... It's your call. You're a man. You don't have a w…

Nature forces us to a much greater extent than we acknowledge. Of course some people seem freer to choose than others but overall we can only consciously choose who to associate with - I believe that's about the limit of our free will.

I lived in India for a while and there are gotras or family lines there going back to very very distant times that are purported to have never, ever eaten meat. Those lineages are typically intellectual or religious in occupation. Vegetrianism was a feature of early Christianity too until RC purged other groups. Even though one of the Christian commandments is to not kill... In fact meat eating wasn't a big feature of human culture until refrigeration made it possible. Large-scale health studies…

The natural urge for sex, which is a basic need, has been blown far out of proportion to suit artificial economic purposes. As a consequence men AND women have gone berserk. We men have become slaves to our lower selves and women, well... women are women. It's up to us to rebalance our lives according to our real values, that's all. Like St. Bob Ross sayeth, life is too short for hate, which just wastes valuable time. Going our own way is the positive alternative we are embodying somehow or othe…

Yes, there's a verse in Bhagavad Gita that basically describes a 'higher taste principle' https://asitis.com/2/59.html within Theism as the way to rise above the demands of the senses, by engaging the mind in a higher purpose or pursuing meaningful relationship with God. The higher taste principle applies universally I reckon. The verse is supplied for reference.

Man, if you can take benefit from that situation then you can probably take good benefit out of life in general, and have my admiration. Can you settle on some higher principle or ideal? Monks are rare these days....
/r/MGTOW07/03/18 09:02 AM

Monks and geniuses like Tesla are characterised by intense if not all-consuming dedication to higher principles and ideals. I lived as a 'Hare Krishna' celibate student for ten years and saw that amongst a lot of pretend celibates the honest ones are humble, dedicated and truly great human beings - thoughtful, careful and very regulated in lifestyle. It certainly isnt for everyone, in fact real celibates are rare but every man should try for a while it to see if they can hack it. I couldn't lol …

Upvoted x two, and to build on what CatBringer said I can offer a few relevant points... a) Real friendship is found among like-minded equals. b) We each 'fly our own aeroplane' in this life - we can communicate but ultimately we are each on our own, putting into practice what we have carefully learned to stay aloft and navigate towards our goals. c) Our philosophy of life will be tested at the time of our death.

I would say that in normal circumstances simple human gratitude trumps all. Mothers are Mothers to their children and that's important. Going My Own Way to me can mean avoiding people but being hateful isn't really very productive afaik.

Man of Steel and Velvet by Aubrey Andelin is a great book along these lines, his wife Helen wrote Fascinating Womanhood. Both works seem to conform very nicely to peoples' natural conditions, they hearken back to a time before mass marketing when men and women knew who and what they were. Life goals seemed much clearer then.

At the rate we are going, we will reach a point ... Most university courses are for job training, most science funding is military meant for killing people, most governments are de-funding research generally as changes in climate promise vastly increased disaster mitigation and response costs. Hmm, some cultures are like that, most of the older religious cultures were patriarchal and men's good and heroic deeds were praised a lot. but what part does god play in your life? Well life itself and consciousness it's symptom are both unknowns to science. Not just cannot but determinedly will not.

It's an interesting question! Although dogmatism is not what either Islam or MGTOW are really about, its clearly obvious that the tendency exists in both. How many ways are there to obey, serve and love God? How many ways can a man go his own way? Women aren't there for our enjoyment, simple. That's clearly shown in duty-based cultures where the dramas chronicled here daily are known but much, much less problematic. Our enjoyment- or rights-based idea that women are objects for our enjoyment only mirrors female solipsism and therefore undermines masculinity from the outset, what to speak of in practice. TLDR: It's the exploitative view of the world and of women that causes most of our suffering. Edit: To me anyway MGTOW is that.

If you're interested in restrictive, goal-oriented culture look up 'varnashram' four social and four religious orders of life echoing the natural divisions of occupation - the learned, the executive, the productive and the helpers and of higher callings - the student, the householder, the semi-retiree and the renunciant.

It's important to realise that in this world people come and go. It's only neediness, immaturity for a man to assume otherwise. So we need to a) be ready to behave as properly as we can every time and b) add value to every interaction, including by neglecting rat-bags.

Of course men tend to protect women. MGTOW is a response to imbalances caused byour largely shit-for-brains civilisation that exalts artificial standards of living. Railing against reality is just emotionalism or sentimentality. MGTOW requires more intellect than that.
/r/MGTOW03/01/17 05:29 AM

I agree but also disagree. Provided a woman has the sense to accept it she should be protected (not just from her stupid self but also from unscrupulous men, nyeh heh heh aye?) by a human that is more intelligent - i.e. a guy, father, husband, grown son. In fact that's basically the only way they can stay respectable. Under their own guidance they AWALT are a menace to society and themselves. So much so that it's become the trend, the fashion!

That kind of animalism is the consequence of a gratification-based culture. Many of the 60s hippies knew what they were on about. Humanity rests on mental and sensual self-control, i.e. what distinguishes us from animals.

Another simple illustration of this foundational fallacy in relation to womens' (and mens' btw) mistaken assumption of entitlement can be found in a simple mental exercise: Remove streetlights, just streetlights from the world. Pause, think. Pondering our dependency on complex systems is something we should all do, if just for the mental and intellectual exercise. Women simply require protection at all phases of their life. As our market society becomes increasingly exploitative so that simple l…

This post title highlights for me something a little wobbly about the red pill ethic(?) as it is delineated anyway, it seems to not acknowledge that people - men and women - are individuals with their own lives and likes and tastes and personalities. No offence intended to OP but this labelling and denigration, basically no more than give a dog a bad name and hang it, is what I call the pathetic side of red-pillism. Strong people lift others.
