Think of the message that sends to people. If you send someone to prison for 5 years, put them on a sex offender registry for 5 more, severely damage & almost ruin their life, and you get off scot-free. Not just that, you can get rewarded with 1.5 million dollars(750.000 after lawyer costs) that you don't even have to pay back when your lie is exposed! This is what a broken justice system looks like.

There are a lot of benefits. Tax, insurance, legal rights to shared property, kids, medical decisions, etc. That doesn't come close to offsetting the risk of losing 50% of your assets + having to pay alimony. I'll stay unmarried thank you very much.

No. I have done nothing that would make a rational person feel threatened, so if a woman is still afraid of me, that's her problem not mine. Please, society is more sympathetic to women who kill their own children, than men who kill themselves(see Andrea Yates).
