Yeah I would feel him a bit too spineless or indifferent for me.

There are studies where they have a group of random women and a group of random men (lets say 20 in each) then they set them up for dates, so that everyone has been on a date with each other. Then ask participants who they wanna meet again. And then compare that with whatever trait these people have (lets say sexism). So how many of these women actually want to meet again the sexist guys, is a lot more telling , than how popular those guys “claim” to be.

I have never watched 365 so I can’t comment on that specifically. But in general, Idk how much liking a bad guy on TV translates to real life. Many things are fun to indulge in, as long as we know they are not real. I can see myself crushing on a bad guy in a movie or show, if the whole thing does feel like it’s not “reality”, and if the villain has a likable side. Like many women loved Loki; but I never saw anyone liking Nate Jacobs, he feels too “real” and just inherently bad.

Im really interested in the study about rapist ones. who claimed the relationships were consensual? The rapist? I have a feeling he just doesn’t know what consent is that well…. But then again many girls went crazy over Ted Bundy so Idk.

I almost never trust survey studies; people are not honest and they try to come across certain way. I definitely think sexist men are ones who are more likely to exaggerate about how many girls they slept with or how many they hump and dump.

The never said that. Just asked to answer the question based on these two options; again, this is a would you rather question, not really saying this dichotomy exists irl.

OP never said that these are the only possible outcome in real life. Just say you never played “would you rather” and move on.

Im not saying “forced marriage” Im saying “arranged marriage”. They are introduced by parents, go on dates and agree to it; but less so because they genuinely desire each other, and more so because they “align” with each other. Like girl defined.

Yup that’s what she did. But she never fell in love with him, despite really trying. If you are choosing beta provider deal, you have to accept lack of desire as the part of the deal; seems like you are trying to negotiate on the part that makes beta provider a bad option, and turn it around so that it’s not really a beta hubby anymore, and then pick it.

We’re immigrants and immigration caused a lot of tension in their marriage and put things in perspective. I don’t wanna write paragraphs on it, but I played therapist for both so I know. And they both know as well how things are as well, it’s no secret.

Lol that’s a very specific combination of beliefs and libido and relationships rules. Im going with general trend.

No. He regrets and and realized later on you can’t negotiate love and attraction; and you can’t love someone into falling for you. They both have regrets tbh. The situation you are describing sounds like it was a normal marriage of love; but they just have complimentary roles and he is the provider. So basically a healthy traditional love marriage. That is not what anyone means by “beta hubby”. There is an element of “PRIMARY reason for them being together was what he provides”. She settled for …

I guess for women it’s less about getting sex from him, and more about actually locking him down (marriage or LTR) but yeah pretty much the same. You score a high value person, you win.

Yeah mine is also based on my own experience. My dad is kinda a beta hubby, my mom married him because he was a doctor and he loved her a lot and treated her well. Looking at their marriage….I could never want my son to end up in his place. (Even though it is a regular case, no cheating or abuse).
/r/PurplePillDebate25/08/22 06:27 PM

I don’t think thats true. I think that’s society’s revenge dream on how they want them to end up; like, hoping for karma to happen. I think beta guys in reality are more likely to end up there when at some point they realize they never experienced being truly desired, even by their wives.

But I think the fuckboy is better off himself; all fuckboys I know enjoy life and are pretty confident, happy, and desired. So I pick that for him.

Yup. That’s how “would you rather” questions work. You pick the lesser of two evil. Both options are meant to be bad.

Lol yup not a great man, but better that, than someone who ends up settling with someone who never desires him. I think he himself will have more self esteem and will be happier.

Locking down the guy who is very sought after and attractive (attractive in general not just looks).

Fair. But it is very top there for me. At least amongst regular people I know in real life, it’s one that irks me the most.

Yeah I answered based on normal regular life examples of each. Like, you know the guys in university you tell your friend “he’s cute but he’s a fuck boy” that’s what I think; like, don’t get too attached. Not a Ted Bundy lol. Contrary, when I think of Beta hubby, I think of girls i knew who settled for someone because “he’s really nice even though I don’t find him attractive; he’s my best friend” I just think of examples I know around me irl of each; not the TV show extreme tropes.

I pretty much imagine the same. But there are degrees to each. I think regular fuckboys are pretty timid, like Joey from friends. They just ghost you after sex and don’t really commit to anyone. sometimes lie to get into girls pants. I don’t think super psychopath misogynistic fuckboys that act like complete assholes or drug women’s drinks are a high percent of fuckboys. On the contrary, beta hubby is basically someone whose spouse is with them primarily for what they provide and they don’t have…

Fuckboy. I see beta type as spineless; and there is nothing worse than a spineless man in my mind. Edit: my definition of each: there are degrees to each: I think regular fuckboys are pretty timid, like Joey from friends. They just ghost you after sex and don’t really commit to anyone. sometimes lie to get into girls pants. Think, the guy who is always dating on tinder and is pretty ok looking so he has a decent time there. Often out having fun but then usually ghost the girls afterward or only …

I personally find that there is a high agreement on who is NOT attractive, when the guy is truly not conventionally attractive, like, we can all see he is ugly and none of us into him. But when a guy is more average or cute or even conventionally attractive, then there is a high level of disagreement. Like, what my friends like are into, in my opinion are conventionally average guys that Im not attracted to at all; and vice versa.

100%. Even if I KNEW into the future that it will NEVER EVER happen again, it already happened once and it’s a non-negotiable deal breaker.

Im 100% with you. Kinky sex (for me, BDSM) with someone I genuinely love and trust is the absolute best.

Only immoral standard is anything that the other person cannot consent. Happens a lot in other parts of the world, much less in Western countries, and usually only in super religious communities. Anything else is amoral imo, it just may raise eyebrows or make you look shallow.

If you were going to have MMF threesome with one of your guy friends, who would you rather to do it with? Pick up a girl from a club, or share your gf with him?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/08/22 08:16 PM

Yes I share similar mindset as her. I wait until we are bf/gf and in love because sex is important for me and a special experience that I want to share with a person who is going to be there for me. Even thinking about a guy leaving my bed to sleep w someone else makes me feel used and icky.

No. Literally all my exes were like that 😂 I believe I have the best taste and everyone else is wrong (I honestly truly cannot relate to many of my friends taste... AT ALL).

I think regardless of money he’d be attractive to many women. And I agree w you he does have many traits of masculinity, but that wasn’t what I was arguing. This post is about having a gym body specifically, and I don’t think he has a gym body exactly, thats why I used him as an example.

I think it depends on woman’s taste and there is more variability of taste for this trait. Personally for me it’s not a MUST, but I do prefer masculine men. Muscles are hot imo. A lot of women drool for marvel actors for being buff, and a lot of women love guys like Timothy Chalamet. Personally I think marvel men (muscular but not body-builder muscular) are the classic standard of beauty and will always attract many women.

If a man cheats she will have to split the resources of her child with other kids, and evolutionary speaking, higher likelihood that he won’t be there for her throgh pregnancy or breast feeding, which her and her child’s livelihood is dependent on. Both genders will lost plenty if they have a cheating partner.

I just explained, I don’t think the gap in anxiousness for your partner cheating is completely an evolutionary marker, I think it is more influenced by culture. There is no way for me to qualify this, but since both genders are extremely disadvantaged evolutionary if their partner cheats, I think both would be almost equally anxious and affected by the thought of their partner cheating. So I think the gap in anxiousness is not caused by biology, but rather by culture. In our culture (and most of…

I don’t think that the research finding, that men are more anxious of their partner cheating than women, is purely a biological difference. Both men and women have strong evolutionary reason to not want their partner to cheat (as I described). So, this difference is probably not purely due to biology, and rather be influenced by culture to a large degree.

I personally wouldn’t mind at all if my partner wants a DNA test. Why not. But I think there is strong reason for women to dislike adulterous men as well; for one, if your husband has a kid with someone else, the resources that goes to your child automatically is divided by two (or more). Also, it is more likely that your husband wouldn’t be there for you while you are going through pregnancy and breast feeding stage, which evolutionary speaking, means you are extremely vulnerable and you need h…

I think to a degree but not completely: If a guy is still living w his ma and just generally lacks respect and ambition, he is LVM no matter what. BUT a part of being HVM is how he treats you and how much effort he puts in, which a lot of times is just about his interests level. A HVM can treat a girl that he is not so into as a booty call and be labled as LVM in her book based on his effort, but then he would put the real effort for the girl he actually wants a relationship with. (Like think of…
