Glad someone figured out how to make pickup work. I never could
/r/seduction26/11/20 10:07 PM

Bragger :)

Why "once you get to a certain point"? Why not have standards the whole time?

My game is bad. I keep trying, but in the meantime, I am in the uncanny valley, so what can you do?
/r/seduction12/02/19 09:32 PM

I have one of these. Recommended.
/r/seduction06/02/19 06:32 PM

Games not hard Speak for yourself. I have been to bootcamps, classes, seminars, course, and still find it impossible.
/r/seduction26/01/19 01:32 PM

I would think that admitting I lack self-confidence would qualify as being honest with myself.
/r/seduction25/01/19 06:32 PM

You recognize some people lack self-confidence, so I don't know why my lack of self-confidence would be particularly surprising.
/r/seduction25/01/19 06:12 PM

Your shitty self esteem for something to be possible you must believe it can be done - I am sick of it. If you believe it is impossible any girl likes you then why are you here? Hope I will find self-confidence one day, I suppose.
/r/seduction25/01/19 05:20 PM

This started off as discussing something, now you're just trying to pick apart what I'm saying any way you can. Of course I am. That is what discussion is - poking and proding at the idea, to see where the boundaries are and/or dispute that the boundaries should be drawn there.
/r/seduction25/01/19 04:22 PM

When black people say it, they aren't saying it as an insult, rather a term of affection, so, no, it isn't offensive then. So without knowing the race of the person saying it, if a person says the N word to a black person, you can't tell if it is racist or affectionate? And also, the RACE of the person saying it is what determines this? How does that work, and how is that not racist? It's not really for me to judge Apparently, it is. The determination between "insult" and "affection" is a judgme…
/r/seduction25/01/19 03:16 PM

A white person calling another white person a "nigger" as an insult is technically racist, as it's basically saying that being black is a bad thing. Let's explore! If a black person calls a black person that, is it no longer racist because it is no longer degenerating an entire race? If so, how black do you have to have to be? Is it an blood line thing, so if both of your parents are black, it is ok? If only one parent is black? How many generations back are you allowed to go on this? Or is it i…

Nothing I believe prevents anyone from doing anything. All I can hope to control is what I do. If I wouldn't want it done to me, it would be hypocritical to inflict it on someone else. Not to say I am always perfect at this. I am human. I stumble my way through.
/r/seduction19/12/18 06:36 PM

I follow the silver rule. Don't do to others what you would not want done to you. I would not want my girlfriend to cheat on me, so I will not cheat with someone else's girlfriend.

I don't know. These kinds of motivations never work for me. I would have long since written it off as a sunk cost, and written a check. Made a $500 bet with my brother once to accomplish a goal within a month. Realized within a week it wasn't going to happen. Paid off my debt as soon as the contract expired. And that was the end of it for me. He was disappointed I didn't even seem to try, but I fulfilled my contract, so I met my obligation.

who cares if she has a boyfriend or is married?? does she have a pussy?? THAT'S ALL you should care about. You can do as you like, but I wouldn't sleep with a woman I knew to be in a relationship. The Silver Rule is a good rule of morality you may wish to consider as an additional factor.

This is perfectly fine. Any form of regular exercise is good. Also, don't forget to manage your diet - it is truly amazing how much food can impact mood and even depression. Pro tip - reduce carbs & increase fat.
/r/seduction17/10/18 01:15 PM

I have very similar thoughts, so I can relate. One tip I can offer is for the gym. I found that there are a lot of things one can do at the gym (group classes, yoga, cardio, cross fit, etc), and it is somewhat a trial and error thing to find what you like. Personally, I found strength based lifting empowering. I log my workouts on my phone (jefit or strong is a good app, and there are others), and then I get graphs that show my progress over time. I like graphs. The external validation goes a lo…

Well, ask yourself, did they do what they did because 1) we broke an objective rule of the site that has been documented or 2) they are virtue signaling, without indicating any particular wrong doing by us, and are acting based on feels? So yeah, I think Reddit is the girl in this analogy.
/r/TheRedPill15/10/18 09:51 PM
5

The answer I have come up with doesn't make sense given red pill philosophy. This whole thing strikes me as the equivalent of trying to win back the girl that has rejected us. Not typically advised in red pill. But let's assume we decide to go against this note of general caution, and try to win back the girl (Reddit). Do we think we can win back the girl, or not? If we want to win back the girl, but we are convinced that we can't, but we are going to do it anyway without rational basis, it is u…

You have guessed incorrectly. If you are convinced the fix is in, then why are you bothering to file any kind of appeal at all? What is the point of a futile gesture? And if there is a point in it, then why not do it as well as you can?
/r/TheRedPill15/10/18 06:27 PM
9

Actually, yes. Putting your best foot forward in a professional way is a good strategy here. Let's assume they think poorly of us ideologically. Presenting an appeal that is half baked confirms their disposition. If on the other hand we present a reasoned, thought out, professional appeal, it may not help our chances in the end, but it can't hurt. And I would argue it will help, because they will see a professional, moderated, thoughtful critique. In other words, advocacy is at its highest impor…

We need an attorney to help us write an appeal. The work that has been done is on the right track, but is not thought through. I could take a stab at it, but I would need to be appointed by the mods to act on behalf of the subreddit. In any case, we should have one voice on this, and we should do this with a bit more formalism, and not be so half cocked about it.

It's called stepping out of your comfort zone. That's like saying "have you ever tried being happy?" If I could do that, I wouldn't be having the issue in the first place.

Yep, pretty much. I know she doesn't exist. I knew she didn't exist at the time. Doesn't seem to matter sadly. Is that cognitive dissonance? Is that denial? Is it hope? Is that lack of self worth? I still hold on to some idealized version of her. Scarcity mentality runs deep with me. I don't really want her back as such. I just want this piece of me that feels love to have someone to feel love with. Being with her was just enough to make myself a little bit happier, for all it's problems. Now th…

Yeah, I am Daryl right now. Wish I wasn't, but I can't escape it. I keep reading red pill stuff, and working on myself. Yes, I lift. 5x a week. I enjoy it. Haven't been able to save myself yet. You don't want to know how long ago she broke up with me - it would make you disgusted. I can only hope that someday, somehow, I might yet make it.

TRP is completely amoral, yet we constantly see people discussing based on emotion and morality. TRP involves how humans interact with other humans. Where it is prescriptive, it has moral dimensions as a result.

That's all true, but that is to my mind a way to describe competence by reference to some of its more universally relevant domains. For example, if you were to answer the question as to what a typical man looks for as an initial attraction point, the answer is physical attraction. If you try to describe what that is, you will start listing multiple different domains of physical attraction, some of which would be more or less common to all men in general, some of which are specific to each partic…

I disagree with the people here that are suggesting her lack of ethics or her hypocrisy (e.g., she isn't much of a christian because she slept with you) is relevant in any way to the question you are asking. We are talking about your ethics. Saying she isn't ethical isn't relevant. After all, if we are going to start answering what is ethical based on the lowest common denominator, then holy shit man. Anyway, lying in general, not only in game, but just lying, period, is inherently self destruct…

I've farmed online dating out to a company to do it for me. The cost is less then the value of my time, so this is a win for me, and now the stress is someone else's problem.

While technically possible, the odds strongly disfavor such an unlikely situation and unlikely outcome. It is strange to me to form ethics based on a faint ray of hope of a positive outcome. I mean, a positive outcome is pretty much always possible - which would mean nothing is unethical, because, hey, you never know.

A small personal story. Back when I took the bar exam, one of the essay questions was a divorce. It was a very simple fact pattern, particularly for a bar exam question. The only item of any interest was the "typical" genders were reversed, with the woman earning much, much more than the man. Legally, it made zero difference. I just did the normal, simple, uncomplicated analysis. Man gets paid, no problem. But I walked out convinced that I would score better on the question than many because the…

It is a fascinating case, and with something like 100 friend of the court briefs, it has to be one of the most well argued legal cases of all time. Trying to find a workable legal standard is a total nightmare. Looks like the court is leaning to ruling for the baker, but how they find a legal test for furture cases is the real problem. I am really looking forward to the decision. That, and the Carpenter case dealing with 4th amendment and cell phone records. This is great stuff.

I had a similar experience as a guy. Raised christrian, became non-religious later in life. I have a very hard time finding a way to approach women because of all the constraints from my upbringing. I feel it still holds me back. I wish I could get a girlfriend, but I have no comfort with approach or the seduction process. I wish I knew what to say, but I have had a hard time breaking out of my religious based shortcomings. It is really frustrating. I have tried therapy myself and pickup classes…

/r/TheRedPill03/11/17 12:23 AM

it's just your turn, act accordingly. I depart from this. I think cheating is wrong, and just because someone is willing to cheat with me does not make it ethically ok for me to do so. Someone else's lack of ethics does not impact my ethics.

Overall balance is ultimately in your interests as it relates to game (or any other domain of life). Unhappiness in life occurs when one domain is overextended. Family, fitness, relationships, work, school, etc, are all domains of life. The people that wind up unhappy devote themselves to one domain to the total exclusion of others. I have an entire thesis on this. I could do a two hour lecture on this topic. Work on something else for a while, and come back. You will be much better off.

Assuming this is in the USA, it shouldn't be a problem. A licensed therapist can only break confidentiality for very limited purposes, such as an immediate threat to one's self, someone else, or ongoing violence, particularly child abuse. (See Tarasoff v. Regents of University of California). They will give you a notice when you first meet that says all of this. Read it, and then make sure not to talk about those particular things. If they ask about them (and they will, particularly suicide), I …

I guess I first learned about pickup back when double your dating was a brand new product. So sometime before 2004 I think. But I am only now beginning to re-apply it after getting out of a nearly decade long term dating relationship that only ended two months ago. As to underlying issues, I'll spend some time thinking about it. But that's going to take some time to work through. That's a lot to unpack. I'm always happy to meet new potential friends. The escorts opener was something like " I hope you cheer up", which since I looked liked a borderline wreck was a empathetic comment. I said I was having a bad day, she said do you want to talk about it, I said actually I do, she said let's sit over here, and that was that. Had she opened with something more cliche like "looking for a good time / a party", I'd like to think I would have picked up on the fact she was an escort.
