Much the same problem that Amy Schumer has. Decent jokes that could get a laugh absolutely ruined by horrible delivery.

I was already having a bad day and this was just the cherry on top of my frustration sundae. Fuck.

Teacher in training. I am currently receiving training in both education and child development. These people are just idiots.

I really like your point of view. Thank you.

We're also apparently calling our children stupid now instead of trying to educate them. These kinds of people should not be having children.

Yes. Definitely do not feed into her outbursts. If she decides to berate you in court in front of a judge, be as respectable as possible so the judge sees that you are the sensible parent and that she needs help.

I don't really understand. Care to clarify?

You make a good point, and perhaps she should change her own label to make her arguments more effective. However, I think maybe it would be justified if her reasons were that she wanted to better feminism? I don't know. I still like her views none the less.
/r/MensRights10/04/13 09:48 PM

I don't see anything wrong with it really. A label is just a label. It doesn't define who she is or what she's doing. Maybe she can make a difference in feminism someday.

This is a true women's rights activist. Kudos to her.
/r/MensRights10/04/13 03:29 PM

It sounds as if they're screaming "slut" at the end there. If so, would that not be considered slut shaming? Something that feminism supposedly fights against?

I breathed a sigh of relief when I finished and the entire poster didn't have any gendered words whatsoever. Good on them!

Apparently homophobia hurts women also. Who knew?

Amen. We'd be just as bad as what we fight against if we didn't recognize the importance of women's rights movements as well!

Good for you man. Just don't cut the mother out entirely (unless she's abusive or entirely unfit). Every kid deserves to know both of their parents. And take your son out for some ice cream!

As much as I disagree with her point of view, I cannot stand these damned "discussions" on news channels. Everyone whether they be Men, Women, Republican, Democrat, etc. is reduced to noting more than a cackling hen on these TV programs. To claim that this is a discussion of any kind is just simply false. /slightlyirrelevantrant

I also saw a post about the "man's plight" to his wife that had a bunch of comments from both men and women saying how "true" it was. This is just Facebook stupidity and really doesn't belong here.

So basically, "I'm right, and if you disagree with me, you're wrong." I think that about sums it up.

That's not what we do here.

Agreed. We don't need this type of propaganda. What we need is cold hard facts, and concrete examples of misandry. Not photoshopped pictures to help prove a point. It makes us look much less legitimate.

Let me start by saying that that woman had no right to react the way she did, and should be arrested for assault. She overreacted entirely and was in no way provoked to incite violence. Now, let me end by saying that that dude was kind of a jerk in the first place. Not enough to deserve to be maced, no. But, act like that and you're bound to come across some crazy person who's gonna mace you point blank in the eyes.

Cue Anti-MRA subreddit linking this saying we advocate beating women. Let it be clarified for anyone who doesn't understand that the woman not being bludgeoned by the angry mob was no really the point.

At least slightly. /b/ was specifically made for fabrications. At least here most people have a personal interest in the subject matter of the subreddit.

I agree with this. This sub is about discussing Men's Rights in a sensible way. The people in Facebook, tumblr, etc. posts typically represent statistical outliers and/or trolls. They're really not worth much to us other than to just rustle our already fairly rustled jimmies.

And I love going on 4chan and reading the absurd stories the various anons have come up with. But when we KNOW for a fact that it's not a reputable source, should we really be posting screenshots of these stories for our own purposes?

Broke up with me an threw a party He had a few friends over, probably to reminisce about his father, and just to hep him cheer up. What does she expect, for him to just sit and stew, and just think about the death of his father and his broken marriage? I don't think so man.

This. I believe video taping conversations and interactions that you are involved in is legal, even if the other party(s) don't know about it. If she pulls this shit again then you'll have evidence and ample reason to kick her out.

You raise a good point. Perhaps PSAs about domestic violence need to include instances of male victims as well to spread the word. "It isn't right from him to hit you. So, how is it right for you to hit him?" Something along those lines.

We may as well just give up on any sexual interaction with women all together according to this woman. Apparently my penis is so evil I can't help but rape the girl that I love.

At least she's trying now after you brought it to her attention. It shows she really thought about your concerns.

First of all, I'm shocked that she would slap her own son in the face for arguing his point of view. Second, I'm appalled that calling the police on her own son because he was defending himself from physical abuse ever even crossed her mind. You're a good man for keeping control of yourself and not letting things escalate any further. Good on you for defending yourself with words rather than more violence. You really need to be proactive about this though. She needs to know that what she did was…

I was kind of thinking the same thing. I mean, now that I think about it, most ads usually portray a man driving drunk, but I've never thought anything of it.

If anything, I think a subreddit of this nature would show that we're inclusive to everyone, considering we already have /r/FeMRA, and might help with our current "Hate Group" label.
/r/MensRights10/12/12 09:44 PM

If that's all you were suggesting then fine. It just seemed from the nature of your post that you were suggesting a brigade of us just going over to wreck her page. Sorry for taking that the wrong way.

Hatred begets hatred begets hatred. If we retaliate, it will only result in a backlash and it will make our movement look bad.

He tends to be unrealistic about how a man should conduct himself. But I've found he can be equally as hard on women. Yes, he is very biased when it comes to cases involving a man sexually/physically abusing a woman. However, I really like his stance when it comes to endangerment of children. He does seem to be very fair about that, and always treats everyone the same if a child is involved.

I feel like this is just society. Not just feminism You can't fucking say anything anymore without someone getting offended.

The worst part about this is that this person will probably go on to always assume that they're right and just continue to be ignorant. I hope that they have the capacity to be open minded. But just their presentation of their ignorance suggests that they never will be.

I mean, sexual assault isn't just cut and dry rape. It's any sort of unwanted touching, groping, rubbing, etc. You could be sexually assaulted by anyone.

I'm sorry you're receiving so much negative feedback about this. I can't promise you that it gets easier after High School, but I can tell you that people tend to be more accepting of things like this in college. Just keep on trucking and expressing who you truly are. No one can ever take that from you.
/r/MensRights13/11/12 04:12 AM

Because only a man can sexually assault a woman? And only women can be sexually assaulted? Got it. Thanks.

I'm sorry that this happened to you. Just know that your "friend" is wrong for thinking that it's different for men and that we want to be sexually assaulted. You were right to walk away from the situation.
/r/MensRights12/11/12 02:43 AM

WHY THE FUCK AREN'T THEY HELPING HIM?!?! If the situation is as the description describes it, this is assault. And everyone around them, be them man, woman, what have you are jut sitting around and staring for most of the video (that is if they're not yelling at him to not hit her). The double standard and group mentality is astounding.

So, the statistic isn't based on how much women make paycheck to paycheck or hour to hour, but rather based on yearly earnings? If that's the case, you'd think they would include a bit more research in a study that important...

Honestly, I just think that online gamers that act like this should just clean up their act in general, not necessarily for female gamers. People like this give gamers a very bad name, and truthfully, they are the minority of the gaming community (twelve year olds and such). It's natural to be angry when you lose/are losing, but everyone that's playing is paying to have a good time (I would hope). TL;DR: People need to stop being dicks in general and play the damn games.

I agree with every one of the posts here that is encouraging you to run away and start a new life. I know suicide most definitely seems like the only option to you right now. And I cannot claim to know what you're going through by any means. But if you can start anew for yourself, move away and just make yourself happy, you will look back on all of this and be so thankful that you never did it. I know it will hurt to know that you're leaving your daughter behind. But killing yourself won't be an…

I guess a great Dad by Bender's standards... Still, e was a better parent than the kid's Mom.
/r/MensRights22/06/12 12:55 AM

Well, Bender has a sexual encounter with a soda machine and has a son. Soda machine runs off, and Bender ends up being a great single Dad. Then, the neglectful mother Soda machine decides she wants the kid all to herself, comes back with court papers and takes the kid from Bender. It ends with Bender getting his son back under some wacky circumstance that wasn't very relevant, and sends his son to bending college.
