Personally I think it gets too much into control/power-struggle than it being about true love and compatibility. I really like Renee Wade from the Feminine Woman (I highly recommend her whole website) and she did a whole video on why the black cat energy thing doesn't really work. I can totally understand your perspective. For me, when I was in college, I saw many girls in relationships — but while they have had boyfriends, the guys in them weren’t necessarily thinking girlfriend —> wife. Now a lot of those couples broke up. I think a lot of men want to feel financially stable before thinking about a serious commitment, and to be financially stable after college is a lot easier to come by. Again, this is just my experience!!

I want to add a few things: - age: when I dated in college, no guys were interested in LTRs. now in my mid-20s, a lot more are looking to be serious. I think being softer lies mainly in little details, such as how loud your voice is when you talk, whether you swear or use a more sophisticated and literary kind of vocabulary, things of that nature as opposed to one defining action if that makes any sense. Thanks for sharing! I'm actually American but am pretty traditional relative to other American women, so I find opening myself up to an LDR to be beneficial to what I want out of life (marriage and kids as opposed to putting a career before everything).
