What is this her alt account? Lol and yeah it actually matters a lot because I’ve managed to not struggle getting a partner while holding these standards. Keep malding

I’ve had a gf for years and I don’t struggle dating lol I’m sure you’ll just say I’m lying and downvote, so go ahead, I really don’t care

According to you, if men were genuinely trustworthy you’d go to coffee though right? Works both ways - if I can actually trust that you’re genuinely interested in me and not using me for a free meal, sure, dinner is a good date.

In her delusional fantasy, yes - a lot of women on here seem to feel better about themselves by saying all men are broke losers and the good ones are unicorns.

The internet has created an illusion of choice - we see all these attractive people on social media, each of whom are vying for our attention, and they have taken to more stealthy methods of reaching people, like using dating apps to promote their social media/products/OF. What I think changed between the 90s and now is that the internet has become ubiquitous (in that it is available everywhere, right from your phone) and very commercialized - corporations have destroyed the concept of anything …

It’s fine for you to be wrong. Apparently not since it was such a huge concern for the woman who made that tiktok, but women who expect their partners to read minds aren’t worth the time so I couldn’t care less

No, you can notice subtle things but your interpretation may be wrong, especially if it’s something super specific, like a product your partner has never heard of or a specific sequence of events you expect them to plan/follow

I mean I agree with you regarding the redpill, it’s just that every comment and post I see from you is basically redpilled lol Saying men should avoid progressive women entirely is about as tradcon as it gets

Why does your flair say blue pill when all your comments and posts are clearly redpilled? This is like the incels who create fake accounts and anonymously pretend to be feminists online lol

her spouse could be one of those husbands who regularly buys her the wrong gifts. YET ANOTHER reason marriage can be scary for many women. Yes because domestic violence, being financially trapped or unable to move away because of children are so much less of a concern /s Honestly, posts like this are why men don’t take modern feminism seriously - even if it’s trolling, y’all invent new ways to infantilize and make yourselves out to be victims in the most inane manner.

No, because hints and cues are not always clear, and there is room for misinterpretation even when being attentive and having the best intentions. Some of y’all are also crazy, like that girl who thought that the attractive guy she wasn’t interacting with would notice that she had taken her earbuds out and take that as a sign to approach.

They’d rather stay home with their video games and porn, 1 guess. Not porn and video games but I will say that I’m tired after the work week and my job is largely interacting with people all day long, so having downtime is really nice; it seems a lot of men feel similarly whereas I notice a lot of women always want to socialize. So it’s not antisocial behavior - which is actually when you harm others - but asocial behavior because we’d rather not socialize. I still get up and go to the gym every…

The women in my life treat me well, I come here to talk shit lol I’ve noticed a lot of men are coming here to vent about how they are treated by their mothers, their sisters, their female friends, and other women in their life. A lot of PPD women def have just as much of a chip on their shoulder towards men as the red/blackpilled dudes have towards women, and they similarly generalize about all men from the way the men in their lives treat them, but shoehorn feminism in to justify their shit-tal…

Maybe 1/20 men are chill and don’t like it. But that’s 5% of men. Lol guess I’m the 5% then. And men who wanted relationships? The ones who I gave more time and attention to, because I was open to finding something long term, if the right person came along, ran. The common denominator here is you, plus I’m only hearing your side of things so while I’m aware that some men do this, there has to be more then “I gave them my time and attention and they ran” - you’re either choosing people who are no…

it’s more keeping in mind that it’s important to watch effort from the man’s side because it correlates directly to how well he will treat you and how much he likes you. There are two people involved, so the same can be said of women. So men will say “yes we want women to approach!” But that’s just because it’s easier access to sex for them. It doesn’t mean they like those women more or feel special or appreciate the attention. It’s just another way for them to try and get in a woman’s pants. Yo…

Keep him on his toes - he tries harder. Give your all and love them, they cheat. It’s fine if you don’t want to settle down, but if you’re consistently attracting the same type of people/behavior, then your vetting process is not very effective imo because you pick toxic people. So I don’t think it’s that most men enjoy the chase, just that you perceive men as being that way because you don’t want anything long term and are pursuing men who want the same (rather than those who want an LTR and wo…

Men love the chase Men love sex, so aside from being manipulative, which will never result in a healthy relationship, it makes zero sense for you as a woman to ignore a man who expresses interest in you if you’re attracted to him, especially since y’all are always blathering on about how few attractive men there are. Maybe it’ll work for a short time on men with unhealthy views of relationships but it won’t keep him around when he can get it somewhere else and for far less effort without all the…

You may think you don’t want to chase someone because she “seems disinterested” but that’s rarely the case. 45% of young men have never even approached a woman in real life; “buff chads” have options and they’re not picking someone who ignores them lol
/r/PurplePillDebate20/11/24 04:37 PM

If you ignore a man, he will do everything in his power to chase you. I wouldn’t, this says you’re disinterested. I’ll just pick someone who actually likes me and shows it lol It’s been true for fat ugly men as it has been for buff chads. It’s just biologically ingrained. Is this supposed to be a gotcha? No I’m just sharing my experience with men on the side of the person dating/seeing them. Its not personal It’s personal in the sense of this being what’s you’ve personally experienced with men you’ve approached, but that doesn’t mean that men in general don’t want to be approached by a woman they’re attracted to, the same as many women would like to be approached by a man they’re attracted to. 45% of young men haven’t approached a woman, so they’re approaching le…

I’m not denying that the behavior you’re describing is disgusting - it is and the dad in the clip is acting crazy, as is joking about it and showing a complete lack of empathy. I ask because I don’t think anyone outside of the Fresh n Fit are really encouraging this behavior, nor do I think it’s commonplace; those men are also mocked a lot and rightfully so

Boys haveblanket permission to take up all the bathrooms jerking off four times a day, destroy the sheets, towels, and dirty clothes they don’t wash, and whenever a sister or stepsister discovers her brother has been doing gross shit in her room, men pile in to tell her how shitty she is for failing to accommodate their horniness and utter lack of scruples and morals. Lol WHAT

3 out how many women you’ve encountered in your entire life? I’d also be very surprised if you’d never been treated like shit by your male peers in the same way as some of the women you’ve described have. You’re doing more or less what the women on this sub do when they generalize about how terrible all men must be because of their own negative personal experiences.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 04:47 PM
4

All I can really say is that these isolated incidents you have described are not proof of anything because they don’t actually gesture towards the general populace, especially if we’re talking about how teenagers are behaving. Where you live has a huge impact on social norms, even within the same country, as are the people with whom you surround yourself - you mentioned one female friend who you describe as “optimistic”, so why is her existence not also proof that not all women are the same?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 03:11 PM

Progressives are bad at marketing because they don’t have someone who is charismatic and controversial in the same way that Donald Trump, Andrew Tates and Fresh N Fit types are for conservatives.

These women are all interested in the same top tier men; the men don’t want commitment because they already have their choice of multiple women who are also interested in them and don’t need to commit in order to get laid. Being a functional adult who has easy access to sex pretty much eliminates the need for a relationship, which is also why so many women are okay with being single, because they know they can find a hookup very easily, even if he isn’t a Chad.

Another bitter, lonely PPD user ranting with no actual argument beside blanket stereotypes.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 12:08 PM

I said “Trump has basically the same number of votes he did in 2020”, and so, he’s far lagging behind his 2020 total by approximately 2 million votes, but this gap is also decreasing as more votes are counted. Harris got about 67 million votes compared to Joe Biden’s 81 million votes in 2020, a difference approximately 14 million. What even is the purpose of your comment?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/11/24 10:58 AM

I don’t think mail in ballots will help Kamala Harris at this point, I also don’t think we’d have a difference of 15 million votes
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 06:30 PM

I don’t think Stein got a significant number of votes so much as dem voters from 2020 were either put off or apathetic to Harris
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 05:42 PM

the last 3 years have been hell You can say the exact same thing about 2020, because people were tired of Trump and he got blown out
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 04:00 PM

There are at least 15 million less people who showed up for Kamala Harris than those that showed up for Joe Biden in 2020; Trump has basically the same number of votes he did in 2020, so the same people showed up for him. I think it’s a combination of less voters, many of whom were disappointed in Harris saying/doing nothing about Gaza then voting for Jill Stein instead and complacent/lazy people not voting because they thought Harris would win.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/11/24 03:42 PM

I’m between 1 and 2 because I feel a combination of both is realistic for anyone of any gender. You can have whatever standards you like but you are not entitled to anyone; you will also be subject to your own level of attractiveness and what you realistically have to offer potential partners, regardless of how high/low your standards are.

if they can’t get a partner at all it’s from lack of effort. I disagree with this as well
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 08:50 PM
1

If you absolutely can’t find even a single person willing to date you then it’s lack of effort. Again, I disagree, because effort is no guarantee of success. A lot of men become bitter when self improvement doesn’t land them the woman of their dreams; I’d say those men need to de-center women and to enjoy the things they’ve built for themselves.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 07:49 PM
1

Women being afraid of strange men and not finding them attractive are absolutely reasons men would struggle to date, especially if most women think most men aren’t good looking. Self improvement is also no guarantee for success, so it’s not always a lack of effort on the man’s part.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 07:18 PM

It’s a common sentiment among the women on this sub, and while there are definitely women IRL who think the same, I don’t think that describes most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 07:07 PM

Again, I’m talking about the women on this sub - not that I think this sub is representative of most men and women in general, because it isn’t.

1

No they don’t and no they don’t. They do quite often - that’s not to say that a lot of the men here don’t make similar comments about women either, but yeah “men are dangerous and ugly” is a majority of the comments from women here.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/11/24 06:58 PM
2

Many women on here seem to think most men in general are ugly and describe men as sex-crazed murderers/abusers, so while I agree with you in some aspects, I think there is a heavy bias against men in general. If you aren’t conventionally attractive as a man, you basically have to work 100x harder to get not even half as far and there are still no guarantees even if you put a ton of effort into improving yourself, so I imagine this is why 45% of young men have never approached a woman in person -…

I actually agree with you that guys who aren’t very good looking should just sugar if they really want to have casual sex with hot 20something women; they could also become a Billy Beta for the hottest milf they can land, or even a childfree woman. Plastic surgery is also an option I guess, but that can backfire, even with a good surgeon. Where I disagree is that some men do actually put in the effort to be more appealing to women and aren’t so shallow that they pursue women “within their league…

Something tells me it wouldn’t affect the quality of your answers one way or the other. Bitches love suits. • SMILE! and still get 0 matches. /r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 05:57 PM

Again, just assumptions on your part, which is not a valid argument. Are all the women on OLD shallow and toxic? Do decent men not get played by shitty women just as decent women get played by shitty men? You don’t seem to have much bandwidth for any grey areas in life
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 03:04 PM
6

Many women willingly date toxic men, so you’re actually just proving that women will ignore red flags if the guy is hot enough. Also, plenty of wonderful, caring people, both men and women, are not regarded as attractive/sexy, but that does not mean they haven’t put in any effort to improve themselves. Again, you’re making things out to be black and white and that’s just not how people work.
/r/PurplePillDebate31/10/24 02:19 PM
6

Once again, not everything is as black and white as people on this sub want to make it out to be. Neither men nor women are a monolith. Many men put effort into improving themselves by getting in shape, grooming/styling themselves to look better, and still wind up with no matches and no greater interest from women than when they hadn’t put in any effort. Does putting in effort increase their chances of attracting someone? Sure, but it’s no guarantee, and when they’re still single after all that …

The blue haired, body positive feminist types are the loud majority on the internet, just like the misogynist, neck bearded losers are often the loud majority as well; neither group represents the general populace nearly as much as many people on this sub seem to think they do.

I don’t mean to imply that you were calling them monsters; I think it’s reasonable to be more aggressive with your rejection if they’re not respecting a polite “no”. A lot of young men are discouraged from respectfully approaching young women because of experiences such as yours, but I think encouraging better behavior is preferable to discouraging human interaction. I realize you’re in a different position as a woman and don’t want the hassle, so I totally get not wanting to be approached at al…

It’s horrible but yes I’m unfortunately aware. No excuses for that type of behavior
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 11:32 AM
2

Right, I think it’s a combination of “teach boys to gracefully accept a rejection” and “don’t shame boys for respectfully approaching you”. It doesn’t mean that we excuse the creeps or the guys who flip out or get violent either (not that I think you’re doing so)
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 11:30 AM
1

Ive had 2 relationships start from “cold” approaches (in that I didn’t know the women beforehand, we met by chance), but the exceptions I’d give is that those both happened in college where the environment is almost primed for that type of occurrence to happen and the chemistry was also pretty evident early on in our first interactions with each other, which isn’t always the case when you first meet someone.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 11:27 AM
3

I think the main issue is the creeps and the “well you’re a fat ugly slut anyway”-guys ruined it, which is why showing you have decency by gracefully accepting a rejection is so important.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 11:23 AM
5

Which is exactly why they might as well approach, because unless they’re clearly out with their partner, how are they supposed to know who is and isn’t single otherwise? Women do check men out in public too
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 10:11 AM
4

I still think it’s preferable to making young men/boys feel like monsters just because they find a woman attractive and want to say “hi”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/10/24 10:00 AM
14

Not all women do, and given the low success rate a lot of men have on dating apps, they might as well respectfully cold approach women they’re attracted to

So I am right Is your assertion that men don’t want to date these women, or that they’re not allowed to have emotional baggage? Those are two different things, much like when women say “not wanting to fuck you doesn’t mean we hate you.”

We’re back to pretending men here dont say what they normally say on this subreddit. Okay so link me the comments where men here say that women can’t have emotional baggage, because I don’t see it. What I do see is men saying they don’t want single mothers with emotional baggage and that those women all expect a Chad but will settle for Billy Beta so long as he pays the bills. “If they dont choose shitty options, they have no options” ”All women are like that”. /r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 05:31 PM

I was responding to your comment - you can’t help who you’re attracted to but you do have a choice in whether or not you get involved with them. There are women who choose shitty hot guys all the time, there are men who pine for hot women who treat them like shit and/or are terrible people, they’re both idiots imo
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 05:23 PM

Seriously, can you give me a title or copy and paste a comment where women say theyre bastions of morality? Women on this sub are constantly moral grandstanding, I’d have to link every post on here lol Are women claiming to be bastions of morality? Or are they just calling out immoral men and guys are just projecting that these women are just as bad? Many women on here absolutely think they are automatically correct and know what’s best for society because they are intersectional feminists; call…
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 05:05 PM

If someone is attracted to terrible people, that person has personal issues. It matters because you have a choice whether or not to pursue them - you can’t help if you think they’re good looking but you can choose whether or not to associate with them or try to pursue a relationship. Has everything to do with your post because women do the same thing - they fuck and date hot guys while ignoring red flags all the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 04:15 PM

You can think someone is good looking and sexually attractive while acknowledging that they do terrible things, it’s not all black and white. If you pursue a relationship with the shitty but hot person, that’s a different story.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/10/24 04:01 PM
6

These explanations really show a moral failing amongst men, and yet they want to lecture women about their own moral failings. The difference is the women on this sub think they’re bastions of morality, but the same women often say that when they give average looking guys a chance they’re just as abusive as the hot guys, so given a choice between the two, they might as well be with a hot guy who treats them like shit. Narcissists also make up less than 5% of the population yet every woman on Red…

Many of the people on this sub make really shitty assumptions about the opposite gender by default, so the comment you linked doesn’t surprise me. I’d really only be hesitant about scenarios 6 and 7 but would most likely help the person in need regardless of their gender in either case.

Honestly…I wish I could make a living selling popcorn, that would be kinda dope because I love cooking. Even if I got some monkey’s paw situation where I had to stay single and bang a fleshlight on the reg because I wasn’t specific enough with my wish lol

People aren’t waiting in the wings to tear you down after some misfortune, and thinking they are is paranoid bullshit. Exactly, and if they are, why the fuck would you keep people like that in your life to begin with anyway?!?!?

If a man raises hell about a woman groping another man, it will not be received the same way. Spot on, this was more or less what I was going to say. It doesn’t mean I won’t speak up, but I know how it’s going to be received, same thing with the homophobic slurs and even being called “a pussy” for rejecting a woman’s advances.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/24 09:24 PM
2

Well let me ask you this before I go and grab links: what is satisfactory “proof” for you? Just posts? Does there need to be a certain number/frequency for it to “count”? Because i don’t consider the people on PPD to be exemplary of the general populace lol That said, I see posts about emotionally and physically abusive female partners and some variation of “I cried in front of my gf because my parent died and now she’s not attracted to me” posted on various subs at least once per week, and whil…
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/24 09:17 PM

Most common examples usually are any sort of abuse not being taken seriously, especially DV and emotional/verbal abuse from female partners, how even decent men are treated and regarded as threats, many women justifying treating all men like shit just because some men do terrible things, men are also never given benefit of the doubt for the same reasons. None of this is to say that women have it easy or don’t have any problems or face sexism, because I believe they still do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/24 04:16 PM

men are way more likely to laugh about prison SA, laugh at men getting their balls kicked This I honestly don’t see, though they are popular jokes in media. congradulate male students getting SA’d by attractive female teachers. This I’ve definitely seen and yeah it’s disgusting; that said, I see a lot more men commenting on how the media will say “30 yr old teacher arrested for having sex with 13 yr old student” rather than calling it “rape”.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/10/24 04:01 PM
3

I’m getting close to thirty and women aren’t groping men in bars much, despite the constant and unpleasant presence of Boomers who beg to be sexually assaulted. Not sure what you mean by “Boomers who beg to be sexually assaulted”, but I play music at many bars/venues and I’ll just say that drunk women of all ages still get pretty “handsy”. And while male teachers will always disproportionately assault female students I half agree, because I think we have a broken sexual culture that is only slow…

Women don’t pay boys on the back for getting raped by their teachers for fuck’s sake. Yes, I’ve seen those gross comments but I’ve also seen plenty of men say “why aren’t they calling this rape” when some article is titled “30 year old teacher arrested for sex with 13 year old student”, it’s not all black and white and times are changing. My comment is referring to my personal experience being SA’d by women, which, again, women tend to either disregard/gloss over my experiences to shit on men (a…

has bigger issues I agree with you, however, “I have bigger issues” can be subjective, because it’s not always guys just complaining about not getting their dicks wet but many women, especially on this sub, reduce men’s issues down to “oh he just doesn’t get laid, boo hoo.” You mentioned male SA victims in another comment but as one myself, men tend to be way more empathetic than women are towards me; women tend to not believe men in the same way they say men victim blame or don’t believe/suppor…

Not allowed to work During both world wars we lost a ton of young men to combat and women joined the workforce; they were also working on farms and in factories well before then, so the idea that women weren’t “allowed” to work is just false. That said, I’m not going to pretend it was always great to be a woman, but in general, improvements to our social services have benefitted both men and women. 9/10 women were not “abuzed”, and trying to apply today’s standards to the past is a presentism fa…

You’re good - I’d say warm approach definitely has a higher success rate and is preferable; I spent a lot of time in bars/clubs and even really attractive guys will get rejected on cold approaches (probably 50% success rate).
/r/PurplePillDebate15/10/24 03:01 PM
9

I’ve made this argument before: men might as well cold approach if they’re using dating apps, because their success rate will be about the same. I agree that a warm approach works best, but having had a few relationships start as a result of cold approaches, I can’t honestly say it’s shooting yourself in the foot if you at least try, are respectful (and by extension willing to gracefully accept a rejection), and have enough social awareness to navigate such an interaction.

Maybe some on this sub do but not men in general, no.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/24 04:33 AM

Women on are so eager to be “a girls’ girl” they’ll defend the worst behavior in other women, so don’t even start about a lack of accountability lol You’re assuming men all think and act the way you’ve described in your post, which we don’t because it’s fucking weird, you like when a man stereotypes like that about women?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/10/24 04:18 AM

Lol you’re the one trying to state your opinion as fact, so you actually have no argument, you just have a chip on your shoulder against men. You’re 100% in femcel territory with your attitude

/r/PurplePillDebate11/10/24 08:45 PM

The problem is that he’s making the number of potential partners a person has into some sort of competition, and he seems mad that men generally don’t have as many “options” as women, ignoring the fact that lots of women’s “options” are shitty and thus not options at all
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/24 07:57 PM
3

Yeah I have to agree - I don’t care about the sex/romantic lives of strangers who I’ll never meet. She could be the hottest woman ever and I won’t give af about her relationship drama if I don’t know her, doubly so if it’s more “man bad” bs
/r/PurplePillDebate10/10/24 07:54 PM

Bad analogy because you can lose weight but men cannot grow more dick without getting surgery lol Being fat doesn’t mean you can’t experience pleasure either, it’s just not attractive to everyone
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 11:56 AM

You can actually ask about size and do a favor for both you and the guy you’re on the date with
/r/PurplePillDebate09/10/24 11:54 AM

Like, I get it, it sucks being rejected. Try to understand that for a majority of the past 50 years (and going back even further), men were (and still are) expected to initiate, thus risking all the rejection. No, I’m not minimizing or denying that women get raped and murdered before you start lecturing me about that, but I will assert that most women just don’t experience romantic rejection at nearly the same rate as men, and that is something y’all will never understand. And women can also be …

/r/PurplePillDebate08/10/24 10:14 AM

girls don’t have the same Testosterone levels that guys do. So they don’t have the emotional ability to push past that approach anxiety in the same way we do. So at a physiological level, it’s kind of unrealistic to expect girls to do that What a bullshit argument this is
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 03:36 AM

Yep, because so many of you fancy yourselves as “intersectional feminists” but are full of shit and have the same double standards as the men you criticize.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/10/24 01:21 AM
4

Ehh women always defend one another and are trying to be a “girls’ girl”, not to mention all the moral grandstanding y’all do, or when you try to shoehorn in some accusations of misogyny/sexism anytime women’s behavior is criticized.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/10/24 08:36 PM
3

duh. google “metaphor” if you need help with this. I thought women hated being compared to objects, but okay. I don’t need to Google “asshole”, I can just read your response. And yes, you would be biased against Pizza Hut in your example
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 06:33 PM
4

People are not chain restaurants, but do you think couldn’t potentially get food poisoning from papa John’s? The only people who have ever sexually assaulted me have been women Bias also stems from life experiences, whereas preferences are mostly arbitrary and individual. Your bias is against Pizza Hut because you don’t trust them; a preference would be if you liked the pizza at one place over the other and it’s just your personal taste. You are biased against men.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 06:21 PM
3

How does that make it any less biased?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 05:37 PM
23

This in and of itself is showing your bias lol I highly doubt every man you’ve ever encountered in your life has treated you like shit while all the women you’ve ever met have been saints; I’m certainly not going to act like women are all vindictive psychos or gold digging whores just because I’ve met a few who are
/r/PurplePillDebate04/10/24 04:32 PM
7

don’t expect me to treat men’s lack of human connection with any sympathy Around and around we go then, an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind, because you know those men don’t care about women’s issues. Personally, I won’t give someone with an attitude like this the power to change me in a negative way; more men need to learn to be kind while also knowing how to enforce boundaries so they don’t become doormats.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/10/24 03:41 PM
2

Sometimes it just crosses over into other deep thinking of what is even the point of being kind, giving grace, especially when bad people win and good gets you taken advantage of and used. Learn to set boundaries, but don’t let your past relationship define who you become, especially if it makes you into something worse as a result, don’t give her that power. It honestly sounds like you could use therapy, and I know that’s typical Reddit advice but in this case it seems your issues were already …

First of all, I’m sorry for how you are feeling - breakups suck. A lot of people sleep around for validation; if she wound up with one person, that ended up being the person she connected with. I mean my ex is already with someone new, kitten together, 8 months of thriving, and no bumps, they got the happy ending they wanted, that’s why I don’t think sleeping around was a cope, they never cared Maybe it’s the case that your ex never actually cared, and that sucks too, but would you really want t…
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 08:51 PM

I disagree - common advice is “the best way to get over someone is to get underneath someone else” (or some variation), I did this after a bad breakup and I know quite a few men and women who both slept around following the end of a serious relationship. It’s still a cope and it’s not because they don’t care or never did (in fact it’s probably because they aren’t over it).
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 08:34 PM

Unrelated but I just realized your pfp is two gummy bears doin it doggy style lol I appreciate this
/r/PurplePillDebate02/10/24 08:29 PM

RP seems to completely ignore any aspect of “fun” and that you need to actually be good company in order to truly attract someone - people have to want to hang out with you because they enjoy spending time with you. That’s why being funny is so attractive to women.

If I let my friend borrow my car on a Tuesday, she can’t just randomly take it for a spin two weeks later. I thought women hated being compared to cars/objects

Lol so much cope here - y’all actually want the hot guys, the other guys aren’t even on your radar besides providing an ego boost. Hot guys also have options and women know it, we’re not desperate for your attention which is why y’all sleep with us quickly to try and lock us down

It absolutely was, and she gets really angry, aggressive and insulting towards the men on here no matter how respectful we are.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 04:49 PM
6

I think you’re ignoring the part of my comment where I said “this sub is definitely not representative of that general populace”, because no, most women wouldn’t take great pleasure in seeing you in agony. Do some hate men the same way a racist hates black people? Sure, but that’s not most women.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 03:51 AM

Lol I know what “crossed up” means and it’s not the only thing you said on that post but it doesn’t matter anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 03:49 AM

wasn’t me, I don’t do that This is a small sub with the same people posting, you literally wrote “I cross them up, none of them have been able to catch me yet”, and yes that was def you lol but it’s fine, again, you don’t deserve to be chased, insulted or assaulted for rejecting someone
/r/PurplePillDebate27/09/24 12:05 AM
3

Just remembering you and a few of the local PPD ladies talking about it on a post I made but since deleted, but honestly you can be as rude as you want, you wouldn’t deserve to be assaulted regardless. That’s on them.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/24 11:58 PM

Some dudes are unhinged but I’ve seen comments of yours where you were all too happy to talk about harshly rejecting men with other women on this sub.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/24 11:48 PM

A lot of the women on this sub absolutely complain and take pleasure in rejecting men because they hate men. This sub is definitely not representative of the general populace but it definitely attracts certain types, including incels and misandrists
/r/PurplePillDebate26/09/24 11:22 PM

I don’t think it’d be good for them to phrase it this way, but being honest if they think the guy doesn’t has a good chance with the woman in question is definitely not a bad thing. They can be more empathetic on the back end and say “you have xyz positive traits and plenty of things to offer, that girl just doesn’t seem interested and it’s not worth your time” - similar to how they tell their girlfriends that “you’re too good for him” “you deserve better anyway” when a guy mistreats them. It do…

/r/PurplePillDebate24/09/24 12:36 PM

I agree to an extent but there are also a lot of PPD men who come here just to shit on women
/r/PurplePillDebate21/09/24 06:35 PM

Really, where did I ask women to do anything?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 10:36 PM

Lol what a stupid leap in logic, and no, you and I couldn’t disagree more, but keep trying sweetie
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 09:54 PM
3

but in no world am i going to waste my finite time and energy being benevolent to a proven hater. Then that’s exactly the energy you should expect in return from men - I’m not entertaining some bastardization of feminism because some women have past trauma and want to troll men instead of going to therapy
/r/PurplePillDebate17/09/24 10:18 AM

I’m childfree too and agree, childfree women are also rare on dating apps.

So just avoid this sub entirely? lolol
/r/PurplePillDebate12/09/24 02:57 AM

And again, are we talking about marriage or dating? Because they are completely different - OP didn’t mention marriage and I have been talking about dating this entire thread
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 09:28 PM
1

Okay and what evidence and sources do you have to prove that, other than “I’ve genuinely only ever known men to do it”?
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 08:52 PM
1

I knew this was some lame attempt at a “gotcha”, but you’re just moving goalposts. Marriage is a heavy commitment and divorce is not at all the same as breaking up with someone and moving on. Also, according to Pew%20are,at%20least%20a%20bachelor's%20degree), women age 65+ are a large part of the group that doesn’t want to remarry and many of those women are widows
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 08:42 PM

Honestly same, being single really isn’t bad for me.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 07:14 PM
1

Let me ask you this: what source would actually be sufficient enough for you? Does it need to be peer reviewed? And I’m not being sarcastic
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 07:11 PM
3

I think age is a factor in that many younger women want a different partner(s) while many older women want to be single and just enjoy life.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 05:33 PM
3

I don’t think all women do the latter, but I do think a majority do the former.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 04:30 PM
-1

Where does this idea that women have other men lined up when they leave men? From women lol Attractive people have options, and many women (NOT ALL) brag about playing dudes and having a rotation of partners.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 03:52 PM
6

Because women often mentally break up with their partner weeks or even months before they actually break up, so by the time they actually split she doesn’t care and probably already has someone else lined up
/r/PurplePillDebate11/09/24 02:33 PM

So is this how your boss and ALL of the men around you currently behave? These mean have commeited acts that should have landed them in jail. You just said that the guy who tried to kill his ex and the man who assaulted you both wound up in jail, as they should.

Men don’t take accountability the majority pick poor women with bad qualities that are obvious early on then generalize As you generalize about men lol delicious irony
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:12 PM
2

The problem is that those women don’t say “certain types of men”, they just say “men” and a lot of them want to piss men off online because it’s cheaper than therapy and doesn’t require those women to take any accountability for their own behavior
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 02:01 PM
1

Exactly, and many of the women who are in their “I hate men phase” do the same; I have female friends who talk shit on men online and yet they are still good to me and the other men in their lives
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 01:56 PM
1

Men i know are creepy tend to be the ones ik irl who like, post and regurgetate the stuff i see online that creeps me the f out. So what actual creep behavior do you see them doing IRL though? I’ve noticed a lot of women write men off as “creepy” or “abusive” simply because those men don’t kowtow to feminism or are willing to make offensive jokes simply because they don’t care about negative backlash
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 01:55 PM
8

How does the online content match with your lived experiences OP? I see a ton of misandrist content and literally “men are awful” on any social media I use but can accept that most women don’t actually behave this way; most men I know don’t behave the way you’re describing either.
/r/PurplePillDebate10/09/24 01:34 PM

Most people date and marry within the same demographics - socio-economic status, physical proximity, and yes, looks - as their partners, so they are already doing this. I think a lot of women view their friends’ partners as unattractive or default to viewing other women more positively while viewing their male partners as less attractive because both men and women have a positive bias towards women (and a negative bias towards men) a La the women are wonderful effect
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 10:58 PM
1

We dont see an unattractive guy and think hes beneath us. This may not be the case for you, but there are numerous studies showing women react more negatively to being approached by men they find unattractive, and also to being excluded by women they deem unattractive. This idea that people can just “looksmatch” and be happy needs to die. Why is that?
/r/PurplePillDebate08/09/24 09:35 PM
1

I agree that there’s no point in being with someone you aren’t attracted to, but I also think that a lot of people expect to wind up with someone attractive when they themselves are not all that attractive. Women tend to frame it that a bunch of sloppy, lazy men think they’re perfect and expect a supermodel to fall into their laps but many women nowadays also think they’re 10/10 but find most men are unattractive - you said it yourself - hence, inflated egos, because they actually view those men…

I’ll preface this by saying that I’m just describing what I see on this sub, not what I personally believe. I was holding out for “Chad” at 16 because all the guys around me were not hot. It’s not our fault that we find most men unattractive. No, you can’t control attraction, but I don’t think a lot of women realize that attractive men also have options and wont pick you if other more attractive women who have more to offer are also interested. A lot of women do not handle rejection well and rea…

Not really if 45% of young men have never approached a woman in person
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 09:51 PM
18

Just fucking talk to someone if you’re interested, stop following women’s “rules” that you can’t approach them at the store, gym, etc and just go for it without flipping out and acting a psycho if she’s not interested. Very simple
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 09:38 PM
2

Not really - most seem to say that women are holding out for Chad and just ignore any guys who don’t fit the bill. Alternately, it’s that a woman got pumped and dumped by a Chad and now her ego is inflated to the point that she won’t settle for anything less, which is often delusional since Chad was likely just drunk and horny and bedding her required minimal effort.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/09/24 05:54 PM

I don’t think her work holds up as well today, especially since she continuously asserted that abusive parents are not blamed, but I do think that her studies and writings were an important milestone in understanding child psychology and how we progress into adulthood, but that’s all for another thread/post lol
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 09:34 PM

While her works are definitely valuable to some degree, Alice Miller’s son Martin came forward after her death to note that she was quite abusive as a parent and did more or less the complete opposite of what she advocated in her books.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 09:24 PM

interesting that the difference between hurt people that hurt others and hurt people who don’t want to hurt others is the existence of a single empathetic adult to support them in their childhood. Having worked with preschoolers for almost 10 years, I’d say it’s much more complicated than that, but I get what you’re saying.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 08:35 PM

This is not exclusive to one gender - many of the people on here don’t actually even want to debate, but rather, to make a person of the opposite gender angry because they themselves are bitter and angry.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 08:17 PM

they are posting to lash out at women Exactly; to be fair, a lot of women on this sub are doing the same. Hurt people hurt people
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 08:01 PM
2

You are the one acting like the OP makes sense, I never agreed with OP, just explaining what his mentality/reasoning with this post seems to be. Marriage/children are individual choices, there are plenty of people (both men and women) who still want both but forgo them due to a variety of factors, such as finances and logistics (eg lack of family members close by to help).
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 04:25 PM

I would conclude that there is no such thing as ethical dating in our current society and leave it at that. Under the lens of environmental activism, our very way of life in general (outside of dating/relationships) is unethical.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 01:03 PM

This may be the first attempt at a “green pill” take I’ve seen lol Women require men to be good at capitalism yet being good at capitalism leads to environmental and social suffering therefore men who are romantically successful with women are unethical. So who is actually at fault: women for having standards that push for consumerism (and engage in consumerism themselves), or men for trying to meet said standards?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 12:27 PM
0

You are wildly overstating their leverage, which is marginal at best. Take it up with OP - Pew also shows that a majority of men are in relationships as they get older, with the dreaded 63% of single men being concentrated to the 18-29 year old range, so they must be doing something right.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/09/24 10:23 AM
2

If non-Chad men start trying to behave in the same way, why wouldn’t women just forgo them altogether? Again, not all women have access to hot guys, even for short term casual flings, so they’re taking what they can get too - plenty of women talk about being unattractive, how men never approach or notice them, how their hot friends get all the attention while they’re ignored, etc. Many women still want relationships and find marriage to be very enticing, but are also the female equivalent of the…

why would women bother with regular non top-.000000000001% of men at all? Because not all women will have access to top tier men, but many women still want long term relationships. OP is saying that it’s best for beta men to act like they’re the stable option and bait women for sex by using commitment as motivation, the same way women dangle sex as a carrot on a stick for men. And yeah, it absolutely works because marriage is still very enticing for a lot of women, especially if the guy has mone…

Red Pill is not about how much money you have. It’s an understanding of women. I think this is how rp started but now there’s a lot of overlap with right leaning conservatism and encourages young men to earn as much as possible to fulfill some sort of traditional provider role. I hate how people think you have to become Andrew Tate in order to be a RP man Like it or not, Tate, Fresh N Fit, Sneako, etc - they are the redpill these days.

Why should women have to go out of their way to create a potently embarrassing or awkward situation when both grown adult should read the hints and drop it? Lots of teens and virgins on this sub, so hardly consider those adults, and even at 18 most people are still figuring out who they are and how to navigate awkward social situations. /r/PurplePillDebate30/08/24 05:55 AM

Yeah I lean more towards “man up” being really insensitive to say given the context of this video, OP is also kind of a troll so it kinda tracks with that mean girl sort of behavior that she’d think to say something like that

“Women are amazing just for existing” with a side of cope, and the r/ vindicta/diabla types genuinely believe that their standards of beauty for women are more sophisticated and valid than men’s.

I think many of the people (both men and women) who participate in this sub are not a good representation/sample of the general populace, so I wouldn’t base my attitudes and beliefs of the opposite sex on the posts/comments shared here.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 06:35 PM

I own and operate a preschool, so having worked with young children firmly cemented my decision. I don’t hate children at all and even have good relationships with students who have aged out of my program, but I also recognize that it’s just not for me; unfortunately a lot of people only realize this about themselves after they have had a kid already and I don’t want to be one of those people.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/08/24 01:24 PM
1

But I doubt it’s true That’s not a valid reason
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 03:25 PM
1

It’s fascinating that you’re so ignorant and will continue loving goalposts - I very clearly stated why they’d date a woman: to be in a relationship for consistent sex if nothing else. Some still want companionship and are holding out for a unicorn that fits their narrow criteria. They could also be unaware how their views of women are harmful thus not even realizing that they “hate women”. Women who hate men but still date them do the same shit.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 03:17 PM
1

How does it fail to answer the question? They’re sexually attracted to women, getting into a relationship with a woman entails sex and intimacy, thus they want a relationship to be able to consistently have sex with a woman they’re attracted to. Maybe they don’t realize their views are actually very misogynistic and harmful towards women, maybe they do and don’t care - all of these are valid answers but you just give a vague hand wave and provide no reasoning whenever someone actually engages wi…

I think they’re cookoo. Same with men who hate women. I mean this we agree on
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 02:21 PM
6

I don’t know that I totally agree, because I do believe there are a lot of women who are in an “I hate men” phase and they literally hate all men - they spend a lot of time hating on men online (not that I’m saying you’re one of them, but there are quite a few women on here who do), which eventually starts to manifest in their behavior in real life. Incels do the same thing, but I think Elliot Rodgers and similar figures are why were more concerned about them
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 02:14 PM

I realize that, I meant this more hypothetically (editorial “you”), so I apologize.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 02:06 PM

I literally squid a small % of men have this behavior. I realize that, I meant the editorial “you” (like a hypothetical person, not you personally) in my answer so I apologize for not being more clear. Now please explain the line of thought of the men who do this thing on this very sub and then deny doing it (accountability much?) I can’t speak for other people but to me it seems their logic is “I don’t hate women, I hate women who do these things.” I don’t think they realize that certain attitu…

I never claimed otherwise.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 01:34 PM

You’re point? *your Context matters, OP claimed women didn’t whine about it so much, but they very much do, which is what I was responding to.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 01:17 PM
7

Exactly, I experienced a similar situation with my current gf and other women I have dated
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 01:13 PM
2

It’s a simple answer: men who dislike women are still sexually attracted to women and date them to sleep with them. Maybe those men actually want a living partner and a family but their lived experiences have caused them to blame women as a group - many women engage in the same cognitive/behavioral dissonance
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 01:05 PM
14

I don’t see it as “I hate men”. “I’m not racist but…” You can hate bad behavior but generalizing that most men don’t behave the way you like is hating men
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:57 PM
6

Someone clearly answered your question, the expanded on their answer, just because you didn’t like it doesn’t make it any less valid or true. You have no rebuttal because they’re correct - you can hate a group of people but you can’t help if you’re attracted to and like an individual member of said group. You cannot help your attraction, only ignore it, but that still doesnt mean you’re not attracted to the person
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:36 PM
6

You’ll keep moving the goalposts regardless, because the answer is the same whether you apply this to men or women
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:33 PM
12

Neither are the idiotic manosphere subs, what does it matter?
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:32 PM
25

Or if they do they don’t whine about it so much. Literally all anyone on TwoX does is complain about men lol
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:25 PM

It doesn’t answer the question It definitely does but it seems you either don’t understand or don’t want to accept that grey areas exist, especially with human emotions
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:23 PM
27

The misogynist views on this sub are plain to see. Plenty of women get into an “I hate men” phase, including women on this sub who are married to men or partnered to men. Such a mentality does not suddenly make a person asexual or no longer straight, so while it’s contradictory, they more or less want what they can’t have, which is an idealized version of the opposite sex.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/08/24 12:22 PM
3

Actually yes I do haha you affirm their gender as a man by making a comment you’d typically make towards men
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 11:06 PM
7

would it be wrong to say “man up and deal with it!” Given the context of the video I think it could sort of go either way - it could come off as encouraging and gender affirming or backhanded and insulting (especially if you were to say “deal with it”) depending on how the person receives it. I do think “Man up” is kind of sexist but I also get that the sentiment behind it is more positive/encouraging; the sexism is more the implication that “being a man = powerful” and “women = weak”
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 10:56 PM

Just because people are more likely to meet through apps doesn’t mean that ALL dating advice from previous generations is useless. Some “skibidi toilet rizz” bs from younger people who are also struggling to date isn’t gonna help you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 09:09 PM

This sub is hardly a reflection of reality, especially since it’s the same small group people participating on this sub every day
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 03:56 PM

No - I completely disagree with you that women weren’t blamed for men’s problems, even in the context of when “they weren’t classed as people”. And I’m literally a man condemning it, plus I actually do things about it in my community which is more than a lot of so called feminists do besides whine and troll on social media. Neither the majority of men on this sub nor the majority of men in real life behave the way you’re describing
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 03:04 PM

So are we talking about what happens on this sub or what happens on a macro level in society? I think we’re on different pages
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 11:46 AM
-1

Every woman on here can tell you about men blaming them for their problems, which is not a recent thing, and no, we don’t have ”griots” blaming feminism for men’s problems, that’s pure bs
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 10:42 AM
3

In the past woman weren’t hated they way they are now, they weren’t blamed for mens problems. You can’t be serious lol Women had to fight for their right to vote and you’re really trying to argue this? Violent crime, including rape, has also been declining for decades, so it’s not like there’s this army of incels roaming the streets ready to rape and kill women just for existing.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/08/24 10:34 AM

It’s basically as ridiculous as your scenario, and no, being a single mother is not the equivalent to forced slave labor
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 10:07 PM

Not if the father is broke and the mother doesn’t qualify for the government benefits - I own and operate a preschool and we contract with the state, I see this aaaaaalll the time.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 09:58 PM

So that doesn’t solve the issue for single mothers and this is just unnecessarily cruel.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/08/24 12:22 AM

Your focus is on hurting fathers rather ensuring support for children in single parent households; you cannot get blood from a stone, so what happens when the dude is actually broke and there’s nothing available?

Had the cast and crew not kept interfering with the women, I believe they’d have sorted it out and been more successful than the males in the long run. And what evidence do you have to support your beliefs? Women were part of the cast, they did it to themselves

The issue is that it’s not levied at men in nearly the same way (even though men are participants themselves) Because men can’t get pregnant; your argument here is basically “double standards exist”
/r/PurplePillDebate23/08/24 03:52 AM
1

Had to check the sub and then the username because it wasn’t the usual suspect lol Since women can’t escape the nagging whine of “you should’ve chooooosen betterrrrrrrr” whenever the issue of men being shit fathers is raised Because women are also participating in the sex, and also know the risks; if it wasn’t consensual that’s an entirely different conversation. Adoption exists, as does abortion in blue states in the US, so she has options as well if she can’t afford the kid or doesn’t want to …

Red pillers try to hold this up as an example You’re the one trying to use this as an example, I’ve literally never seen RP bring this show up
/r/PurplePillDebate22/08/24 02:55 PM

What does the guy being shy have to do with anything? I think the implication is that shy guys can be awkward, which can come off as creepy. But agree, not sure what OP is getting at here
/r/PurplePillDebate21/08/24 03:43 PM

And I’ve never heard a woman say she wants a bad boy, but here we are. To quote the redpill, Watch what they do. Many women say they want a decent, stable man but hook up with some hottie bad boy, so…. How did the goalposts shift? This has nothing to do with the original post anyway - it’s possible to find other people attractive and also stay faithful to your partner. He found a friend attractive but remained friends with her as he was in committed relationship and never made a move. The relationship ended, he moved on and approached the attractive friend because they are both single. What is there to not understand, and what is the problem with him approaching her?

I love when people are shamelessly loud and wrong Such as yourself?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/24 02:15 AM

What even is your argument at this point? People develop feelings for friends sometimes, especially if they were in a relationship when they met their friend and then the relationship ended - what is the problem with him approaching her if they are both single? Wouldn’t it be better for him to approach since he already knows her as a person and passes whatever weird purity/morality test you were trying to shoehorn in by saying “finding her attractive is not feelings”?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/08/24 12:50 AM

I assume Exactly the problem

And again, maybe he was in a relationship when he met and became friends with the other woman, found her attractive but never acted on it because he was faithful to his partner at the time. The relationship ends, he gets over it and asks the friend out.

/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 11:01 PM

Did he go to be bed one day thinking of her as a friend and get up the next day fully in love? No but he can go to bed in a relationship and wake up single, and if he’s always found the friend attractive, maybe he’ll need some time processing said breakup before he can approach anyone. And yes, I said before that you can at least flirt to gauge the other person’s response without having to fully ask them out or confess your undying love.

Never advocated “the scattergun approach”, just approaching in person. talk about the blind leading the blind I have a long term girlfriend and also met 2 previous girlfriends from cold approaches, so what’s your point? I acknowledged repeatedly that it’s not the most effective means, but given the state of OLD, men might as well respectfully shoot their shot in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 10:11 PM

Hence I said in my responses to you and the post “respectful approaches and accepting rejection” How will you be bothered further if you say “no im a lesbian” and the guy says “okay, sorry about that” and leaves???
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 10:09 PM
2

I prefer women approach too
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:52 PM
3

Sure, I think women approaching first is a great idea.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:51 PM
2

They have a right to ask, you have every right to be annoyed and reject them without being bothered any further. At no point did I tell you what to do
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:51 PM
3

being harassed feels degrading Asking you out and accepting a “no, I’m a lesbian” and walking is not harassing you, and that is why I emphasized being respectful in the post. They have a right to ask, you have every right to be annoyed and reject them without being bothered any further.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:33 PM
0

So why did you say women had to just stand there and take it? Nothing wrong with running away if that’s what makes you feel better, it’s a clear rejection lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:23 PM
1

Im a lesbian How is anyone supposed to know that without meeting you? Do you wear a sign announcing it? And what do men want to get into relationships for? Love, companionship, a partner. You assuming sex is all that matters is on you, that’s your assumption to make
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:20 PM
1

They have a right to respectfully ask, you have a right to say no. If their success rate is no different than using an app, they might as well exercise some agency and approach the women around them so long as they take the rejections without giving the women problems. No harm, no foul.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:19 PM

Whatever happened to hooking up at parties and after work get togethers and stuff? (I’m old). I’m old too and this is what I’m used too; I also met one girlfriend at the mall without ever having interacted with her prior, and another (whom I’d also never interacted with prior) at an office in college, and both became LTRs. Me not wanting kids (I’m staunchly childfree) was way more of deciding factor in the end of those relationships than anything
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:17 PM
2

That’s why I said it increases your chances if you’re already on OLD, it’s just another avenue to pursue
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:15 PM
2

Let them waste their time then - if he’s respectful and takes no for an answer, he’s exactly where he started before but he can at least rule out that the woman he approached wasn’t into him.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:13 PM
0

That makes 0 sense in this scenario lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:13 PM
1

And then women complain that their supposed friends deceived them and only wanted them for sex. I never said that cold approaches work for a majority of men, but they’re not this massive faux pas everyone wants to make them out to be. It’s when he doesn’t take no for an answer and acts like a psychotic asshole that people rightfully take an issue with in person approaches.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:11 PM
4

I had never met them prior to that first interaction, so no, it’s still a cold approach. You’re grasping at straws trying to be right on technicality/semantics but you’re still wrong
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:10 PM
0

Yes this is why I said to avoid coworkers as well
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:08 PM
0

And because they enjoy getting a little revenge on women because they know women can’t do anything except stand still and go along with it. Really, do women lose the ability to walk when a man asks them out? Clutch those “man bad” pearls harder gurl
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:07 PM
3

I know men dont give af about this, yall seem to only care about sex. Sex, sex, sex, sex. That’s your assumption, plenty of men want a relationship and have no nefarious intentions. Men have a right to ask, you have a right to say no, and I’ve explicitly emphasized being respectful, taking no for an answer and handling rejection with grace and dignity. The rest is on you.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:00 PM
2

That’s your opinion, but it’s worked for at least two of women I’ve dated 🤷‍♂️
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:53 PM
2

I’m in a happy relationship for years so no, I don’t think I will
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:52 PM
5

I had never met them or interacted with them prior, so yes it is
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:50 PM
3

Traffic and crowds annoy me but it doesn’t give me the right to say people aren’t allowed to drive or be out in public. Mall kiosk people annoy me, I don’t get to tell them they can’t approach people, but I can say ”no”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:49 PM
2

If the man in question takes that approach that is his choice and he will deal with the consequences. Reread the first paragraph
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 08:46 PM
2

Of course they’re valid, and that’s why men should respectfully approach and take no for an answer if they’re rejected should they decide to approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 07:19 PM
3

Nope, I’ve had at least 2 girlfriends who I cold approached because I noticed them checking me out.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:50 PM
2

My entire post is advocating respectful approaches wherein the men take no for an answer and lead the woman alone, so PUAs are not applicable here, though I do understand what you’re saying regarding a preemptive harsh rejection
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:49 PM
4

Nope, but this is exactly the sort of response I’d expect from you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:47 PM
1

I disagree - some women like being approached and won’t harshly reject a guy who respectfully approached her. She’ll escalate to more harsh words if he doesn’t take no for an answer
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:25 PM
1

What about men who develop feelings further into the friendship, or if he was in a relationship when you two met? To me this comes off as the woman in question wanting a certain degree of control through preparedness of knowing the guy is interested or not, but things aren’t always cut and dried like that
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:23 PM
0

Lol not at all what I said or implied, but go off kween I never said women wouldn’t reject men in person, just that they dont automatically say the meanest shit possible because they’re worried the guy might react badly. If a guy is respectfully and takes no for an answer she’s less likely to be harsh anyway
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:09 PM
1

Most of the people I know exclusively date within their social circle. Yes, it’s still unique to your situation and your social circle; other people have different experiences and don’t necessarily meet their partners the same way you and your friends do.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:07 PM
1

If you take the first no as a no i really dont think people have an issue with it. This is exactly my point. i think you are conflating people complaining about it or men who push past no as some kind of rule that you can’t do it. Nope, men are damned whether they do or don’t, so they might as well just respectfully shoot their shot and accept rejection with grace and dignity if that’s what happens.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:04 PM
0

They aren’t. Asexual people make up less than 5% of the populace, so yes, your unique perspective is far from typical. The difference is that you would know more about the person besides looks. …what harm has been done???
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 06:01 PM
0

??? Men are damned if they do or don’t so they might as well respectfully shoot their shot; women have every right to refuse and it seems you completely ignored the first half of the post as I figured a lot of the women on this sub would
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:55 PM
1

As an asexual person, you are in a very small minority of the populace, so I will just say that your personal feelings represent a unique perspective. Women who think that are strange I agree, but it’s the same mentality as taking offense to a respectful cold approach - if he doesn’t bother you any further following rejection, what harm has been done?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:49 PM
17

This did actually give me a chuckle haha
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:47 PM
9

Hasn’t been my experience, nor other men who have approached in person; the alternate is swiping right 200 times and getting 0 responses,
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:44 PM
2

I think of warm approach as like...you’re friends or very well acquainted and hang out in the same spaces/community/circle. Cue all the complaints from women not wanting to be approached by male friends and how betrayed they feel that he was just trying to get into their pants instead of being a genuine friend, though I get what you’re saying and mostly agree that this is the best approach.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:42 PM
3

In my OP I discouraged men from approaching coworkers and continually emphasized gracefully accepting rejection Also expect many businesses to see a drastic decrease in women visiting their establishments as more women will shop exclusively online to avoid dealing with men at all. This is such a ridiculous leap in logic, and considering our post pandemic world, it’s hardly at all what’s even happening.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:39 PM
-1

And many women complain about their male friends approaching them, feeling deceived, objectified, etc so they’re damned if they do or don’t. So yes, men might as well just respectfully shoot their shot regardless and take any rejection with grace and dignity.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:35 PM
2

Okay, so this is just a rehash of “it’s annoying” to you which I mentioned in my first paragraph, and you edited your original answer to remove the “harsh rejection comment”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:32 PM
2

Inadequate sample size is valid if we’re debating actual statistics and their validity, but your response doesn’t answer why men shouldnt approach women in person.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:30 PM
2

OLD rejections are non-existent. Again I disagree - you could be talking to someone through the app whom you were excited to connect with and they ghost you. The negative feelings experienced by the rejected person are still there, and people can always screenshot and post your messages to embarrass you, arguable exposing your rejection to even more people.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:27 PM
1

Exactly, you’re not really losing anything and it certainly gives you a lot more agency than just waiting for someone to swipe on you or profess their undying love for you
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:23 PM
0

I disagree, as 1) in person approaches work for plenty of men and 2) many women say they won’t reject men harshly because they’re afraid of the rejected men becoming violent.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:18 PM
2

I don’t understand how people can see someone and think “yup l’d want to go on a date with them” when they know absolutely nothing about them. How are you supposed to get to know them otherwise? Every partner you’ll ever have was at one point a stranger
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:16 PM
0

I disagree - many women comment that they’re afraid to be mean or harsh because they worry about the man reacting violently.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:13 PM
3

Appreciate your answer - just to clarify, what would you say is a “cool approach”?
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 05:06 PM
7

Same, I’m 100% childfree and will only date women who are the same, hence this rules out single mothers by default.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 02:47 PM
1

So what was even the point of asking for examples? Women can be shitty and bigoted too, but the women on this sub seem to have a really hard time admitting it
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:49 AM
1

Yeah because they know men take offense to those. So that makes it okay? Women use the same mentality when they body shame men, but y’all lose your minds if we do the same. It’s hypocritical “we know it’s offensive that’s why we keep doing it, but you better not do the same to us”
/r/PurplePillDebate16/08/24 09:42 AM
1

Yeah, that was four comments. I could link more and other threads but I’m not going to - this is an area in which people need to improve, and I don’t think fetish content necessarily changes that for the better. Many women also tend to make homophobic comments when they’re rejected by men, which is also a problem.

I appreciate your honesty; I don’t think that you or even all women necessarily think or act this way, but it’s unfortunately pretty common

Why do women get so bent out of shape about “female”?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/24 09:22 PM
8

I think there is a stigma that they are more likely to cheat, have STDs or want to be in a poly relationship. This question has been asked on this sub before and women’s responses were very similar; several also said that they don’t view bi men as “masculine” because “there’s something about him having been with a man” that gives them the ick.
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/24 09:13 PM
4

Because many women do the exact same thing when a men point out that most of us aren’t rapists/abusers
/r/PurplePillDebate15/08/24 09:07 PM
5

eh, I see old men casually talk about how their wives initially weren’t attracted to him How does this equate to “I don’t care about being attractive to women”??? Men have always cared about being attractive to women because men want sex, plain and simple.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/24 08:02 PM

older generations men didn’t base their ego worth on women’s attractions This is so incredibly wrong lol The older generations are the reason for the idea that a man’s worth coming from how desirable he is to women

Oh please went to Catholic school until my senior year of high school and studied both the Bible and theology at one of the top, I know all about quelle and the actual authors of all the majors books in it, I even said that John Hughes, Shakespeare and all the others were valid comparisons. It’s a shitty comparison, seems you just have too much of an ego to admit that to a man.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/08/24 12:40 AM

/r/PurplePillDebate12/08/24 03:57 PM

Society Which is constantly changing, especially in what it tolerates and expects. If women are expected to work and be independent adults in most developed countries, why are men supposed to prove themselves? Shouldn’t coupling be more of a partnership wherein two people mutually express attraction for one another now that we’re moving beyond traditional gender roles? Doesn’t this give women more power and equity?

We know this to be true by simply observing traditional dating and courting behaviors Who is the authority on whether traditional dating structures and behaviors are “correct”? Dating looked much different 100 years ago, just as it did 1000 and 10,000 years ago, all the way back to the beginning of humans. Just because evidence suggests that our early ancestors had orgies doesn’t mean that it’s applicable in modern times for orgies to be the healthiest or best way for humans to be intimate, and …

Yes, and as a man, I’m telling you how what the woman in the OP said comes off to men - while it may not have been what she meant, it sounds like she’s settling for her bf and doesn’t find him all that physically attractive. You’re making this about you and women’s feelings rather than focusing on what hurt the man in the original post and changing your perspective of things, which, it seems most women wish men would do.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/24 05:05 PM

Having female friends isn’t making your case any stronger - we know where the woman in question was coming from, men are telling how it comes off to us but what you’re caught up on is “that’s not what she meant and he has no right to be made because he didn’t understand what she was trying to say.” Thus, I explained that when a woman says “I would never use you as a hookup, I only want to marry you” it comes off as “I’m not viscerally attracted to you but you’re a good choice because you’ll suit…

Women make incorrect assumptions about men and what men think all the time, this is no different. The woman in the OP worded things poorly and didn’t realize how it would come off to a man, regardless of her intention.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/24 04:58 PM

The problem with your logic is you’re trying to speak for how men feel when you are a woman.
/r/PurplePillDebate11/08/24 04:54 PM

To a potential partner, this comes off as telling him that you wouldn’t want to have sex with him the first time you met him, thus you’re not all that attracted to us, period. This is especially true if you’d have sex with some Himbo with no other redeeming qualities upon first meeting because you supposedly don’t care about him.

And you have no reason to believe those are both the same people. I do because I’ve seen it enough both in person and online. Most women marry. And 42% divorce, and marriage rates have been declining for decades, so marriage is not a clear indication those women are “getting who they want.”

It’s most women are fine with their dating lives what’s delusional about their standards? Many women call themselves “a 10” and say “men are so harsh and shallow” when they rate those women far lower because those same women can’t accept that their average looks and minimal accomplishments make them less valuable in the dating market.
/r/PurplePillDebate09/08/24 01:30 AM

My girlfriend is the first woman I’ve dated with whom I’ve truly felt completely comfortable being myself, and she’s very supportive and caring. If I feel him losing interest, all I have to do is shift my eyes over to a bigger, taller, stronger, more attractive man and quickly look that man up and down and turn my body slightly in that man’s direction. Reality shows compared to the View means both a smaller audience and paycheck; I can’t stand antivaxxers, but I’m not going to pretend Jenny McCarthy is as famous as she was in the 90s, and I grew up on her. She’s mostly irrelevant, and she isn’t making money on her looks. That’s producers trying to grab eyeballs by appealing to the nostalgia in geriatric millennials such as myself lol …

Your argument was that she was hired by men, and that’s not completely true - she’s far out of the spotlight from where she once was in the 90s and 00s, also, considering she’s in her 50s, acting like men are holding her up because they’re thirsting after her is just a disingenuous take. Her anti-vax views did negatively impact her career, and plenty of crunchy antivax moms go a long with her bs. McCarthy also got in zero trouble for claiming that vaccines cause autism. What? She was given the Pigasus Award by James Randi, a mocking award given for people who promote pseudoscience, and literally lost her job on The View following a torrent of condemnation from doctors, science journalists, opinion writers, and other entertainers. Anna Nicole Smith got away with fleecing a doddering old man. She was very heavily criticized as a gold digger and treated even worse - as a drug addicted has b…

Gotcha - so do you think her much younger partner is with her because he thinks she’s attractive or because he’s playing the long game for an inheritance when she dies? Not trying to ask this to be mean/aggressive/asshole, just genuinely curious

You think if Leonardo DiCaprio was a mid level bank manager he’d be dating hot 22 years olds? I honestly wouldn’t be surprised lol You think the hot 24 year olds sleeping with Madonna are doing it because she’s such a nice person? Personally think the younger dude she’s with now is just looking for a payout but are you talking about Madonna now or 30 years ago?

Most straight men wouldn’t, her much younger partner is probably hoping for an inheritance lol

I didn’t bother reading past that sentence. Then you’re not worth engaging with because that’s an ignorant af stance to take. Regarding Popper’s intolerance paradox, which you’re misapplying here, I’m not tolerant of incel’s ideas, I think they need empathy rather than ridicule if we want them to change for the better.
/r/PurplePillDebate05/08/24 12:48 AM

Why should we show compassion to those who choose to spread hate and vitriol Responding with hate isn’t going to change their minds; an eye for an eye makes the whole world blind. This isn’t “both sides” either - I very clearly pointed out that there are several incels who were actively violent and killed people. Being indifferent and ignoring them is far better than antagonizing them and expecting them to change. The same goes for women who hate men and are vocal about it online - as a man, I’m…

All the sudden women’s desire to reproduce or not is voluntary and you are fine with that. What? nothing I said even suggests that; IVF is an example since you pointed out that alpha female coyotes don’t know they’re producing a suppressant pheromone to affect the other females. Humans have the ability to measure their own fertility among all the other biometric data we can gather with medical tests - so we have a greater degree of awareness of these things and discuss them with other humans. Yo…

The subordinate female coyotes are not aware they are missing out on copulation or reproduction because they have no awareness they aren’t ovulating. Again, this doesn’t seem applicable to humans, who are very aware of their menstrual cycles and also have science to measure their own fertility; we also have recourse for women who suffer from fertility issues via IVF and other scientific practices. I get the “social vs biological” aspect you’re referring to, but humans are far too aware of our ow…

Capitalism by the way it works is very good at absorbing and changing critique of it. Criticism of capitalism has been far more widespread in recent years so you’re absolutely wrong there, and pilot UBI programs are already being launched in the US, so it’s changing too. Regardless, none of this tangent has to do with sex work or your post.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 02:34 PM
1

Yeah none of this is compelling evidence - the debate isn’t about economic theory or systems so that’s irrelevant anyway, but I’d actually be curious to see what your qualifications are that you feel youre so correct
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 02:07 PM
1

How? Because in all instances, the money earned is from using your body in the most literal sense I dont care because capitalism will never stop Just another assumption on your part, you have no clue what will happen in the future
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 11:01 AM
1

So this is work?
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 10:55 AM
1

Define work in any manner that isnt applicable with sex work but all other work. Donating blood, plasma or sperm aren’t jobs, even if they earn you money, and I would say this is applicable to sex work as well. Holy shit i had no idea you couldnt stop doing sex work if you started doing it legally? Again context matters, but your only response was that you “don’t care about tankies” when I pointed out that this is an inherent flaw of capitalism.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 04:55 AM
1

I’m not even against sex work, I’m pointing out that some people are only in it due to desperate situations and thus it isn’t work, it’s slavery and exploitation.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 03:33 AM
1

I’m not arguing against pornhub or platforms that host porn, so point 2 is irrelevant.
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 03:26 AM
1

That you’re too lazy to defend your own stance and would rather write a number so you get the last word in rather than making an actual point
/r/PurplePillDebate02/08/24 03:10 AM
1

Again not an argument and doesn’t even make sense - a production company is not a platform
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 11:08 PM
1

So porn is not federally legal? Pornhub should hear that. Actuallyquite a few red states already blocked access to it, so yes, it’s no longer federally legal. There have been enough instances of supposedly “legal” porn production companies breaking the law in a variety of ways, including Girls Do Porn, which basically intimidated young women into participating by threatening legal action over breach of contract.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 10:48 PM
1

Is your claim the legal sex work in the us doesnt fo this? It’s not federally legal in the US so there are no actual protections for sex workers. Do you think OSHA doesnt have over sight with porn? Not on all sets, no, especially amateur stuff
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 10:05 PM
2

When you give up your free time how do they get that? They write up a contract and I complete appropriate paperwork agreeing to their offer, or I say “no” and apply for a different job. Context matters here because as I mentioned before, some people are in desperate enough situations that they’ve turned to prostitution just to avoid starving in the streets and saying “I don’t care about tankies” doesn’t negate that Is there some device that pulls it from some place like a time bank? It’s called …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 08:30 PM
3

No, the argument is that context matters - in context, giving up your free time to do work for a company is completely different from giving up your body to be used by someone else who is going to pay for the experience, especially if the money being paid is going to a pimp or sex trafficker rather than the sex worker
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 08:00 PM
3

And that’s not an argument
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 07:46 PM
2

Nah - It’s coercive from the perspective that a system like capitalism denies people adequate resources to live and thrive without working to earn money, and that inherent coercion can be used in all sorts of domineering ways. There’s nothing necessarily wrong with sex, even transactional sex, but both can take place in contexts which create problems with them - “fuck me or starve on the streets” certainly isn’t a choice. Sex work is also largely illegal, thus it’s not a legitimate form of work …
/r/PurplePillDebate01/08/24 07:31 PM
4

For the people it is harmful to ya, they shouldnt use sex work. OP I don’t think you’re really accounting for people who live in poverty and have no choice but to resort to sex work and it’s probably more common than you think. “Customers” can simply find porn for free or even try talking to someone they would want to have sex with, but many sex workers wound up doing it due to very traumatic and unfortunate life circumstances, and around 85% of OF models make less than $200/month

So then women still make those remarks and it’s not just “other toxic men”
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 06:40 PM
2

As much as I agree with this, the flip side is that some women don’t care how good looking a man is and won’t even entertain his advances if he’s not also rich, well endowed, smart, funny enough, etc. This is especially true when good looking women have their pick of good looking men - she’s going to pick the guy who has more to offer than just superficial qualities.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/07/24 06:07 PM
2

Men take the same risk approaching women, because they can just as easily get played and ghosted by the women they approach. I think it’s really that a lot of women learn the hard way that while they can approach the most attractive men they want, there are simply no guarantees; men are already aware of this because they’re expected to do the approaching and even attractive men get rejected too.

You are not responsible for your romantic success or failure you just happened to meet all the criteria as a result of your circumstances. What an incredibly passive and defeatist view of dating and relationships
/r/PurplePillDebate26/07/24 01:43 PM

89% of murderers, 88% of robbers, and 99.1% of rapists are men There were 380.7 violent crimes per 100,000 people in 2022, even if they were all committed by men that’s not even 10% of all men. My bigger question is: what does accountability look like to you OP? What do you think men should be doing to hold each other accountable?
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 10:09 PM

Other men do it but plenty of women make homophobic remarks when they get rejected by men, or if they think a certain behavior isn’t masculine, they do it on this very sub

May be one of the few times I’ve agreed with you lol
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 02:20 PM

All of these are completely unreasonable besides number 4 (though past a certain number of dates/commitment I’d say that becomes a deal breaker) because women can freely enter and excel in the workforce, so expecting men to pay for everything just to date you is just gold digging without offering anything in return - and no, your company as a woman is not a gift or a privilege.

all of the men in my family and most of the men I’ve befriended throughout my life have strong “crews” and friendships. I come to this sub and realize I live in a radically different bubble than this bubble. I think this sub is not at all representative of the general populace lol I usually see the same people posting/commenting and it’s not a large group (even if there are 100k+ subs), so while I’m aware these types exist, I hardly think they’re the norm. I think you’re conflating a lack of friends with a lack of value in friendship - men absolutely value their friends, but tend to view friendship differently than women do. Society is also still incredibly homophobic towards men, so any type of affection between men is still not generally accepted unless they’re a couple (even then, plenty of people hate anyone who is LGBT) so I think the potential for ridicule and ostracization also discourages men from forming closer bonds with one another. Wom…
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 11:24 AM

That does seem to be the case but a lot of the men are here also seem to be younger, often teenagers, and there seems to be a lot of general hostility between both groups
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 10:20 AM
3

No, they would likely be dismissive and probably pretty rude. One or two would maybe be decent but a lot of them seem to get off on being mean to men because it’s cheaper than therapy and doesn’t require any accountability. And of course, they will justify all that shitty behavior with some crime stats to remind men that they rape and murder women
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 03:41 AM
5

I meant just more generally speaking in terms of this sub; I actually think most men on here are sympathetic to women who long for a relationship or don’t get romantic attention because many men can relate to being in that position. It’s probably because I’m a man but I notice a lot of the women on here get really aggressive no matter how respectfully I disagree with them.
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 03:32 AM

Actually no, I’ve always been upfront about that lol But a lot of women on OLD would match with me only to complain that I said I was looking for something casual
/r/PurplePillDebate25/07/24 03:20 AM
9

OP I’m gonna be honest that this is not a good sub for this type of question, lots of people on here are literally just mean because they’re angry and bitter. I don’t think you’re really going to get much of an answer - I’m 35 myself and I don’t expect women my age to do anything. There’s absolutely a population decline, I just think it’s a leap to say that it’s because so many men do so many terrible things that women don’t want relationships anymore. On the contrary, the share of single men in the U.S. who are looking for dates or a relationship has declined since 2019 (50% in July 2022, down from 61% in 2019). Even in S Korea, where the 4B movement began, birthdate is declining for the same reason as other countries like the US: unemployment, lack of affordable housing, childcare and a rise in cost of living have made having a family too expensive for most people, not because women are opting out of dating en masse. I wouldn’t call someone who only listens to Taylor Swift picky. That’s absolutely “picky”, same as the people who only eat certain foods. I think you’re confusing “picky” with “has good/bad taste” - taste is subjective, as is what is attractive to different people.

I’ve brought up “Women are wonderful” before in direct reference to comments wherein women will give one another the benefit of the doubt but always assume the worst in men. I guess in a roundabout way you can say “its biology” because the higher testosterone makes men aggressive and women are fearful for their safety as a result, but I’m not really sure the point you’re trying to make here; I’d argue that socialization/culture plays just as big a role as biology in this case.

abusers are highly manipulative Abuse is abuse - Other people’s actions towards you are not within your control, but removing yourself from the situation is. The alternate is staying and keeping yourself in a potentially life threatening situation, so no, “choose better” really isn’t the misogynist dog whistle you’re making it out to be.

/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 07:16 PM

a woman is far far far more likely to be murdered by her former partner upon leaving him Once again, how the other person acts is not your fault, so recognizing red flags early (and leaving) is one way of controlling for that.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 05:19 PM

It’s so stupid, and men get the same just that I’m called “soyboy cuck white knight etc” for not hating women lol
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:34 PM

Saying “choose better” is not blaming the victim because you absolutely have a choice who you do and don’t date or associate with. A partner physically harming or violating you is not your fault, but if you ignored the red flags or stuck around after the first sign of trouble, man or woman, you still had a choice whether or not to continue associating with that person.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:33 PM
29

Definitely agree, but many women use crime/rape stats to completely derail discussions about men’s issues - “well men are dangerous so xyz isn’t a big deal, women die every day because of men”.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/07/24 04:24 PM

best case scenario is condescending, worst case scenario is extremely condescending. As are many women when men complain about any issues we actually have. I’m not going to defend rapists or abusers, and in no way is it your fault if someone treats you as such, but “choose better” is often said because many women will ignore blatant red flags that they were well aware of if they want the dick badly enough.

can be arrogant and dismissive Understood, but what other response do you actually want? Reddit and the internet at large are not the therapist’s office, so I don’t think either are good places to go to vent - wouldn’t you want to instead express these feelings to someone who cares and won’t just try to make fun of you for likes/shares? Time is a factor for everyone, sure, but the fact remains people older than you will be single, whether they are divorced or never dated to begin with, and the o…

I think you’re discounting people who have had glow ups or just experience later success - many of those people already know what it’s like to be a lonely adult and probably felt similarly to you at some point, but they made a drastic change that paid off. There’s no changing a lack of “experience” so far as say, sex, but even being rejected and learning to handle it well is experience in and of itself. It sucks, for sure, but when you finally get a yes, the yes leads to a second date, a third, …

I disagree - I think casual sex is fine so long as you’re being safe about it, but I think it’s in your best interest to get your “partying years” out of your system as early as possible. A lot of people who did not have those experiences feel as though they missed out, men in particular (and I say this as a man), and become resentful of partners who may have been promiscuous. On the other hand, if you more opportunities to explore casual relationships when you were younger, you tend to have les…

Women are free to “choose” and most of the time they pick toxic but handsome. Exactly, and they say “whenever we give the average looking guys a chance they’re just as toxic so we might as well pick handsome.”

That’s like saying an innocent person being sentenced to the death penalty means no one can ever report a homicide - it’s a failing on the part of the justice system, not an indictment on “women’s accusations in general”.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 05:55 AM

“I don’t believe those stats” - good, bring me peer reviewed, solid proof stating otherwise then I’d recommend you better familiarize yourself with the topic because a majority of sexual assaults are never reported, which skews numbers to begin with. And no, I’m not excusing false allegations either, but they don’t happen with nearly enough frequency to so heavily skew statistics in the way you’re suggesting.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/07/24 05:32 AM
1

No, because false rape accusations are not actual cases of rape and aren’t counted as such; unreported cases of sexual assault also affect those numbers so the rate is probably higher, as is the case with men who are sexually assaulted and don’t report it

Because you’re not a woman And neither are you. many are and do see themselves as victims Has it occurred to you that many women (1 in 5 or 20% by the most common estimates) have been sexually assaulted in some way, and thus are actually victims of a violent crime? And yeah, there are a lot of women on here who literally just want to troll men or argue just to make them mad because therapy is expensive and would require those women to do some deeper reflection of their own attitudes and beliefs,…

Women on this sub and social media in general share their safety concerns all the time. Women are indifferent to men they’re not attracted to, and likewise men are indifferent to women they’re not attracted to. It’s not necessary to approach, sure, but you have better odds of actually getting into a relationship if you do than if you don’t, and it’s not all about sex either.

/r/PurplePillDebate12/07/24 12:50 PM

Women may lack sympathy for men but they’re very concerned for their safety because of men; fear and anger are not indifference. The women loudly proclaiming they hate men are not indifferent.

Women are only indifferent to men they don’t know and care about or aren’t attracted to; many average and unattractive women often say that they’re invisible to men too, so I don’t think men (as a collective) are simping quite as much as you think, nor do I think a majority of women are so coldhearted and uncaring about others. In any case, calling women “expired” is just some bitter horseshit said by sexually frustrated men who want to insult women who don’t want to sleep with them.

I agree that most people date within their age range and most women are attracted to people within 3-5 years of their own age, HOWEVER, I see a lot of coping from both men and women when it comes to this topic. Men do tend to overrate their own attractiveness, but I also very often see women coping by saying things like “men age like milk, no one wants them, just their money”, accusations of “exploiting a power imbalance” and they also disparage younger women who date older: the occasional outli…
/r/PurplePillDebate09/07/24 08:06 PM

Height, beard, face, tattoos and emotional detatchment. That's what gets you raw attraction from women this day and age. Completely disagree with this; being in shape will always be more attractive than being out of shape. Women are put off when guys go overboard and have nothing else to offer because the gym is their only activity outside of work/school.

Men lose trust in women for similar reasons
/r/PurplePillDebate05/07/24 09:48 AM

Statistically, women know their attackers; like most of us, women don’t want to believe that the people they love or care about would hurt them, so I think it’s not just the betrayal and physical harm done that results in women becoming over cautious, but also that the woman’s trust in men and herself is shattered, as she also might question her own ability to discern who she can and cannot trust.

These stats were from 2021 - I think women still generally spend more time with kids and thus it impacts these rates, but those stats I shared are applicable. I think you have a point about women and girls’ “red pill moment” with men, but in order for them to have such an experience, they will have had only positive experiences with the other men in their lives up to that point. My point being, while I think women are justified in their caution, I also don’t think most men are violent; the ones …

Millennial men spend 3x as much time with their kids as any previous generation, so I don’t think that’s necessarily true. I get it you don't like when prevalences that your demographic over-indexes on are negative vs. when they're positive. Women over index for child abuse compared to men - my guess is that proximity/frequency with which women tend to be caretakers for kids has a big part to do with it. It’s not about whether or not I “like” what the statistics say - “Men are more athletic” vs “men are more dangerous” carries different connotations and thus engages different types of discussions. I say “women tend …
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 12:32 PM

Right but this is all just a tangent anyway, because your OP is about the threat of men committing physical violence, not having an advantage in “athletic feats”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 05:25 AM

Lol that’s really what you’re gonna reference as evidence? And don’t you think “you’re athletic” carries a much different connotation/message than “you’re scary because there’s a chance you might rape and murder me”?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 05:14 AM
0

If I said "a man is more likely to best a woman in an athletic feat" would you protest? I would because I don’t think it’s necessarily true - most men have a general advantage in raw strength and size (which is also why women are more cautious of men physically, whereas another woman would generally be less of a threat during a physical confrontation, or at least more evenly matched) but those aren’t guarantees in one besting a woman in “an athletic feat”
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 05:04 AM

I don’t think anyone likes being grouped in with the worst of their respective gender. Are there similar realities that you think affect how others interact with you as a woman?
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 04:11 AM
5

Exactly - we’re wary of people for different reasons. The problem is when women say the same thing or agree or express her experiences with men in fact behaving in an unsavory way, the same guys are upset about it. It’s not so much this as it is that a lot of women on this sub seem to paint men in broad strokes as though we’re all potentially violent psychopaths, the same way the rp/incel dudes on here seem to think women are all gold digging whores
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 03:56 AM
3

Men will end your life, women will ruin your life. Being blindly trustful of anyone, regardless of their gender, is never in your best interest - men tend to resort to physical violence, whereas women tend to resort to more passive aggression like character assassination, manipulation, gossip etc to ruin your life situation, reputation, socially isolate you or turn a group against you, etc.
/r/PurplePillDebate04/07/24 03:32 AM
4

What do you respectfully disagree with? I meant more in general, especially on this sub - if I disagree with anything women here say, no matter how respectful, the response is often an insult. I would argue that a man calling a woman low value for having had sex is not respectful I certainly never said this because I do think this is disrespectful and don’t agree with it, why do you ask?

Here you go. Right there. Again. Yes, you made the same false equivalence again Bro, l'm a man. I’m aware you’re a man, I’m also aware that you’re bi and I think that your romantic experiences with other men have influenced the negative views you consistently express here

Its exactly what you said Where? You’re quoting my actual words then making up your own interpretation of what I typed,, that’s not at all the same, it’s a false equivalence Where are these mean old feminists running around trying to silence men? Go to AskMen, plenty of women brigade there to troll men
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 12:50 PM

Not resorting to insults and body shaming if a man respectfully disagrees, addressing the topic at hand, and extending the same support and empathy you expect for feminism/women’s issues to men.

the people who say such things are saying it in spite of their beliefs, not because of them. I disagree but only because I think many people have become so entrenched in their respective beliefs that they resort to saying such things. But men never LOST their right to vote or own property (well, white men >>) so it'd be hard for suffragettes to march for men, yknow? I get you and agree - I wouldn’t expect feminists to be fighting the family court system (or draft, or circumcision, etc) for men w…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 12:07 PM

this is just a variation of the “not all men” argument Except that’s not what I said - many women use crime stats to derail from talking about men’s issues, not to mention how women brigade men’s subs the way incels do to TwoX and other women’s subs
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 11:38 AM
3

What does "treating men with a sense of humanity" look like, to you? It means that if you actually advocate for the things feminism is fighting for, it extends to everyone regardless of whether you like or agree with them. I don’t like Andrew Tate at all, but I don’t think it’s okay that some girl said she was going to “literally find and peg” him - he should be in jail, sure, but that’s sexual assault even if she was joking. Are women supposed to be doing something special for men? No, not at a…

I mean, you can watch the feminism leave women’s bodies in real time whenever they have to treat men they don’t like with any sense of humanity lol
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 11:11 AM
9

Not really - a lot of women tend to bring up rape/crime stats to derail topics about men’s issues, and most complaints I see are in regard to double standards - men are always somehow bad while women are always the moral underdogs who are endlessly victimized by the mean scary men.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/07/24 11:09 AM

Again, men are told the same exact thing. why bother approaching anyone now? Because being attractive isn’t just about looking good, you also have to have an attractive personality.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 05:03 PM
1

This just sounds like excuses for a woman to not to better herself or approach men - at least telling someone the truth that “you don’t look your best” gives them something that is within their control to work on. Being attractive in general (not just good looking) requires work - developing intellect, emotional intellect, maturity, being charismatic, cultured and witty all take time, so men could easily say the same.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 02:38 PM
1

If you're super fat, weight loss takes years. Yes because it takes years to get there, but it’s still within your control, so it’s still an excuse at the end of the day. Losing the weight would increase your odds of meeting a partner you like, men are told to get in shape all the time, how is that any different lol
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 11:07 AM
2

Men are constantly told they approach women out of their league; at least if you’re overweight you can lose weight, and if you’re really that unattractive you can style your hair and clothes in a way that better accentuates your features, so it’s not like it’s impossible to improve.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/07/24 02:54 AM
2

I know most women aren't evil or vindicate, but some percentage of them are. I think that’s valid - you could say this even in regard to an ex partner, for instance, so there is inherently a risk on both sides. Women’s frequent complaint is for their safety, which is also valid, so removing the expectation that men do the initiating could help in that regard.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 06:48 PM
3

This is no different than when men who are repeatedly rejected are told that they “must be doing something wrong” (ie being creepy and/or a loser in some way). Alternate for the women you’ve described is that they just won’t be approached, also the same as the men being repeatedly rejected, so pick your poison, unfortunately.
/r/PurplePillDebate30/06/24 06:35 PM
3

Men are less picky for whatever reason. Only for casual sex, because men are generally hornier. So women should actually be more cautious since maybe all the man approaching cares about is sex, especially if she wants a committed relationship. I have not heard about men complaining that a lot of women are open to fucking them casually, but only 5% of them wants to commit afterwards. Yes, I see men frequently complaining that women will expect commitment even when men are honest that they only wa…

No, I’ve been flattered every time and actually quite surprised a few times (in a good way). Men don’t typically get approached, so our view of it is very different from how women experience and thus perceive being approached. I can understand being frustrated from constantly being approached, or even feeling scared due to past bad experiences, but the TikTok lady just comes off as arrogant.

Sorry, this does not prove that men who don’t like cats don’t like women for similar reasons - if it was a peer reviewed article where someone actually studied men who don’t like cats and how they treat women, maybe you’d have a point, but this is just more history of cats and how people associate them with the occult. Youre telling men to signal that they are altruistic/caring through their hobbies, which is good advice, but if the guy isn’t a fan of cats or pets in general, he’s going to put himself in a position where he’s not attracting the type of women he even wants; it’s disingenuous even if it’s well meaning, and women always complain about ulterior motives.

If you’re a man who likes cats, maybe this could work but nah, this is stupid, just like the guys who post pictures of their dogs on their online profiles in hopes some dog loving women will sleep with them. I definitely agree with you that feminism nowadays seems to be “man bad” all day every day, but trust me that feminists don’t want to help men, and they don’t want men’s help either. Some of the more fringe radical groups want men reduced to 10% of the population and all sorts of crazy shit, so why even bother listening to them? If you have women in your life who you care about, do your best to support them the same as you would the men you’re close to - I’d hope those same women are there for y…

when shit hits the fan these guys will show their true colors. And so will women because everyone will resort to doing what they must to survive, except so many women, particularly feminists, try to act like they’re so morally superior to everyone, especially men, hence this post. Most men aren’t attracted to children and pubescent girls and for the creepy redpillers who want to defend their “preference” for younger women, it wouldn’t work from an evolutionary perspective either.

“Boring” and “uninteresting” are subjective person to person but I’m glad you’re not trolling for a change.

Okay so what was the nice behavior that put these women off? And (besides desperation and lack of self respect) why would a nice guy want to date a woman who’s turned off by kindness/being treated well???
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 03:16 PM
4

I partially agree - I’ve noticed there are people who will tell you how nice they supposedly are while you’re literally watching them act like an asshole, but I’ve also seen plenty of supposedly “nice” people who act like assholes without realizing it because they think “I volunteer at a soup kitchen (or whatever good deed they regularly do), I couldn’t possibly be an asshole.”
/r/PurplePillDebate25/06/24 02:20 PM
8

“Treats me well” is subjective - having someone who will stand up for you in tense or difficult situations/confrontations can also be a very attractive trait, I’d also say a guy like that is “nice” in a sense. I also think a lot of guys who are looking for dating advice take “be nice” too literally and don’t realize they need other personality traits to attract women

There are not as many childfree women as Reddit would have you believe; finding a woman who truly never wants children isn’t all that easy. I’m firmly childfree so I was very explicit about it when I was on OLD in 2020/2021. About half of the women wouldn’t even read my profile and would message anyway (this was on Bumble/Hinge), others would match with me then get angry/indignant when they found out that I was childfree, which left maybe 10-15% of actual viable partners - and this was in NYC. I…

Was this guy a genuinely kind individual or was he a doormat? Having boundaries is the key, because most women don’t want a guy who is only nice, they want someone who also has a backbone

I policies as I don’t mean this as a “gotcha” because I agree that mental health care could absolutely prevent many such cases; I think the differences in how men and women are socialized are what largely result in both men seeking less help for mental health and also why older women are more likely to set up the arrangements you mentioned in your post.

The suicide rate is higher for men because men tend to “succeed” more often due to the methods they tend to use. Women actually attempt suicide at higher rates than men

I don’t think it’s the worst advice but could use rephrasing to “Don’t commit to anyone too soon when you’re young and instead focus on yourself and your own personal/professional growth first.” Even people in their 20s are often still figuring out who they are, so it’s risky to put all your stock into one person when you don’t know where either of you may wind up in 5 years.

Cute girl told me she thought I was hot and asked if she could touch me, I realized she was very drunk and asked if she was at the bar with friends and if she would introduce me to them, once we got there I explained to the “mom” of the group what happened. Her friends were nice, I saw them carrying her home as I was leaving lol
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 11:30 PM

I believe there are men who do that, yes, but have you found comments or even threads where men discuss how they target drunk women because they’re easier to overpower and sexually assault? Do you have links?

men if men in general weren't so allergic to simply acknowledging that some predatory men exist I’m sorry but even on this sub that just isn’t the case, most men acknowledge that there are dangerous men because we also make up the largest segment of violent crimes at the hands of other men, I also see even RP men on here acknowledging that women’s safety is at risk (usually) because of violent, dangerous men, we’re just not okay with sweeping generalizations, same as women
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 09:55 PM

Right - I think the assumption is that because it’s generally easier for women to find casual sex partners that they’re also able to get exactly what they want every time, but if that were the case you wouldn’t have the “orgasm gap”
/r/PurplePillDebate19/06/24 07:16 PM

I don’t think so - just because she’s able to get willing participants, doesn’t mean she’s going to land the types of guys she truly wants for those fantasies; even good looking women don’t always get what they want despite what the bitter men on this sub might believe

By observing her actions and behavior over time. This really isn’t much different for women discerning whether to trust a man, as I so often seem to hear women say “rapists/abusers don’t have a big sign on their forehead”

It would be blue pill for a man to make vain attempts to qualify as worthy of such womens' respect. The “blue pill” aspect of this is that the change the man in question is making isn’t for himself, it’s to earn the approval of someone else. What is y such that a man could be worthy of you respecting him as a human being? Are you trying to get this person to show you decency as a human being or attract them as a romantic partner? Because attraction has many factors, and while a woman can’t love …

Really? I think it’s far more red pilled in the idea that you can get yourself out of that position by improving yourself, internal locus of control rather than your perceived external locus of control that one is “put” in that role by the group. What you do defines you, so if people don’t respect you, you either haven’t done anything to earn their respect, or you’re around people who are not worth your time because they’re assholes.

“Simping” is relegating yourself to a subordinate social position because it’s pathetic behavior, but the men (or women) who do it put themselves there; as a corollary, they can also get themselves out by developing a sense of self respect.

To be considered attractive by whom? To women - Being conventionally attractive gives men the best odds of attracting women they like because most women have a very narrow bandwidth for what they actually consider to be “attractive.” Women are rarely attracted to niche features or unconventional looking men unless the guy says/does something she likes, and even then, a good looking guy with the right personality/traits (for her) will catch her attention far more quickly and easily.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/06/24 11:57 PM

Modernity has afforded women the ability to buck gender stereotypes and expectations but men are still bound to traditional gender role expectations - we need to be tall, handsome, ripped, successful and charismatic to be considered attractive, many women get ick’d out if we show any emotion or vulnerability whatsoever and most still don’t approach men because they don’t want (or need) to, so pretty much none of the modern gender dynamics positively benefit men and we’re still expected to adhere…

This always gets said, but I know I’ve never behaved this way, and it’s certainly not the norm. Many PPD women seem to have this tendency to jump to wild conclusions - “you disagree with me? Oh so you don’t believe women or statistics? You must also be a violent misogynist/incel and even if you have a partner you probably her like shit.” So its similar to what you had said, maybe resentment as a result of guilt by association just for participating in the sub, essentially being blamed for something I don’t do just because I disagreed with you on some post and you (not you in particular, I …

You’re just ignoring facts now, this is a desperate attempt to win the oppression Olympics because you can’t even quantify what constitutes “more difficult” and men are killed way more frequently than women; not to mention we massive underreport IPV and DV because men aren’t taken seriously as victims either.
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 08:01 PM

Men are killed at higher rates than women, and by other men as most women are so quick to point out; IPV against men (by women) is also massively underreported. Women experience violence in less frequent numbers AND it’s not always due to IPV or DV, this entire argument is a false equivalence

/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:52 AM

There was SOME KIND of status to it. I think this is it - even if the sex wasn’t all that good it’s something women like to body shame men about so they look at it as ammunition for both men, such as past partners who weren’t as big, and also other women as bragging rights and to possibly even try to insult those women’s partners. It’s ironic because women are sooooo fucking sensitive about their bodies but will immediate jump to body shaming to insult men - penis size, height, hair loss, etc. C…
/r/PurplePillDebate13/06/24 11:19 AM

I think you’re onto something in that men and women each don’t want to be exploited by whatever the opposite gender stereotypically wants from them, ie sex from women and resources/labor from men, but there is no physical intimacy in the “friend zone” so I don’t entirely agree. “Situationship” is just the current generation’s slang for casual relationships without any sort of commitment - friends with benefits, hookups, booty call, it’s all basically the same shit lol

I’d certainly rather spend time with the woman you described than I would with a supposedly beautiful woman who has an awful personality. And by “nice”, I’m referring to common decency, a sense of decorum and class. But no, I wouldn’t marry her because I firstly don’t want children and I also don’t personally find that body type to be attractive, but that’s just me, I don’t fault anyone for having the body they have.

🥱 big fan of that Gone Girl speech huh? Pick someone who commits to you and doesn’t view it as “nagging” if you tell them you’re looking for marriage. You can communicate without nagging and 6 years with no talk of marriage is definitely a “red flag” as so many women always go on about, so that’s really on you if you stay in the relationship but don’t know where it’s going.

I don’t think it’s that cold approaching is better, and I don’t really see many men saying that it is, but rather that approaching someone in person is generally better than trying to get matches on an app and building a relationship from that “connection.” You really don’t get a sense of what it’s like to actually spend time with someone by seeing an online profile, and sometimes an intended message does not translate as well in text as it would in spoken word, with all the nuances that come wi…

/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 12:51 PM

Can literally say the exact same thing for women lol y’all always blame men no matter what, even when youre the ones who mess up or do something wrong. Modern women have an insane ego
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 12:48 PM
5

For example it's easier to keep forgiving the exhausting and typically male constant attempts to gain more relationship power by being disagreeable if he's actually a bit better. This is why y’all get pumped and dumped lol A man who is good doesn’t constantly “attempt to gain more relationship power” - that’s a woman’s tactic
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 12:48 PM
1

so yeah I guess I do think that a lot of women still behave that way. Sounds like confirmation bias
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 12:33 PM
1

Delusional lol You having friends approaching retirement and thinking women still behave that way makes sense though Also the hilariously bad math - who pays $75/week for laundry service? I live in NYC, which has a notoriously high cost of living, and it’s maybe $30/week here.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/06/24 02:30 AM

And you can refer back to my original comment that being childless in that scenario makes you a “stay at home wife”, so what even are her contributions then? Certainly not worth $100k
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 10:46 PM
1

…and?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 09:29 PM
-1

So what about child free couples, is she a ‘stay at home wife’ at that point? I know some couples will have one partner stay home and not work if they can’t afford preschool, but the whole “stay at home moms do $100k worth of work” thing is ridiculous, especially since millennial men spend 3x as much time with their kids and do more housework than previous generations.

“Creepy” implies threatening behavior wherein the creeper continues to violate boundaries without any care for the other person’s feelings (or even because they like seeing others uncomfortable).

They also feel entitled to hurting men, including hitting us because they’re mad and just generally being mean/rude because sexism exists and because we’re men, then they cherry pick crime stats about men to justify their behavior

No, but I can’t say the same for the lady who insulted me for taking care of my terminally ill mom because I thought the “man or bear” question wasn’t very effective in teaching whatever lesson it attempted to given how people responded, or the other woman who tried to insult me for working out every morning and actually taking care of my appearance after she said men are lazy and ugly and women put in all the effort. It’s not just chronically online incels who are rude and behave this way.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/06/24 01:31 AM

I really don’t see men shaming women for wanting sex; what I do see men complain about is: women cheating on partners who treat them well or trying to justify their infidelity, meanwhile if a man cheats, he’s the worst human being to have ever walked the earth women who sleep around in their youth then decide to try the “waiting” strategy with men who actually show them any type of respect or decency later in life, only to go sleep with some other douchebag guy she just met who will just ghost h…

Lol didn’t you just say men are lazy and ugly and women put in all the effort? How is taking 30 seconds to put on an spf and a few minutes styling my hair an intense beauty routine? Or having the discipline to lift every morning? nothing more You criticize men for not taking care of themselves then insult us if we do take care of ourselves.

Oh no, I have a very loving girlfriend for several years now, and a fulfilling life with friends and long time hobbies even if I were single, but great of you to make all those assumptions about me, does that make you feel better about yourself? /r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 03:46 AM

Due have you seen how ugly and lazy men are Lol not me - I lift every morning, actually look good around the house, have a skin care routine, can cut and style my own hair extremely well, have an up to date style, etc and I look even better when I go out, so if your pool of potential partners is anime shirts that’s on you lol

I mean looking for tips on improving your makeup doesn’t mean all those women are “chilling at home wearing makeup”, though I get your sentiment (is it really any surprise that makeup is a popular hobby for women?) - but moreover, OP already made a post saying men should pay for dates for women because hair/makeup is expensive and we owe you for your company, so I’m honestly just going to fully embrace my misogyny on this one and 🫡 lol

Yeah you feel hostility, but isn't it likely that it's a reaction to hostility we faced? Oh I get where the hostility comes from, same thing with women who view all men cautiously due to past trauma - I don’t know what it’s like to experience that and I’m sorry for whatever you’ve experienced, but I do understand and don’t actually take offense, I just don’t think you can insult and hurt people into changing. I support feminism but I honestly don’t know how we’re supposed to have any progress fo…

Yeah that shit can definitley go away. I get you, and I also think it’s just kind of generally wrong to comment on coworker’s appearances. I understand everyone is unique and that yes, some people do want to look their best simply for themselves, as I often do myself, but men are kind of damned if we do or don’t when it comes to this stuff - “don’t pressure us into looking a certain way” and also “it’s not for you any…
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 02:59 AM

I believe you and appreciate you sharing - Please try to understand that a lot of the messaging men get around makeup and how women dress/etc is that we’re sexist for thinking women wear makeup or dress up around the house, and it’s also as though we somehow pressure you into doing so (not saying you’re saying this, just that it is what we are commonly told because literally I ever seem to hear, especially on this sub, is how horrible men are)
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 02:48 AM
3

I do agree with a good outfit being a mood lifter, but most women seem to say they want to be comfortable at home and don’t walk around fully made up at home; men are even told were ridiculous (and sexist) to believe women behave that way
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 02:37 AM
2

It kinda calls into question the validity of the likes and comments if you always feel the need to look a certain way to get likes; I’d be curious to see if you’d get as many men paying attention if you went completely barefaced all the time
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 02:35 AM
11

I love male attention but that's because I love likes on my hot selfies. It's not to please them but to validate my wants. But at the end of the day your validation is still dependent upon having men’s attention, and the caliber of man liking those pictures also matters too.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/06/24 02:09 AM

It's why we wear makeup and dress up when we're just chilling at home. Is this sarcasm? Lol can any women on this sub confirm they actually do this?

Lol true; there is definitely a lot of sexism and disrespect in the hookup scene and I do think discussion around topics like this highlight that
/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/24 01:01 PM

This is very presumptuous - I see more men expressing the sentiment that a woman looks completely different with a full face of makeup vs her natural look and thus you don’t know who/what you’re waking up to the morning after a night out. The general idea is many women only look attractive when they’re fully made up. That said, I don’t think makeup is any more “deceptive” than me wearing my contact lenses as opposed to my glasses or other forms of styling that can enhance and accentuate someone’…

/r/PurplePillDebate05/06/24 01:49 AM

Many women consider themselves to be the underdogs in their own story simply because they’re women and sexism exists. I just find it hypocritical how so many women will just as soon infantilize themselves if acting like they don’t need men doesn’t benefit them the way they had hoped it would.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 08:29 PM

I literally said “Feminists have clearly defined issues that collectively affect women and took action”
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 07:41 PM

actual male issues like draft/suicide rates It’s funny because many women brigade men’s subs and invalidate our problems the way they complain incels do to women - suicide is actually one such issue since so many women point out that women attempt suicide more often but men just tend to “succeed” more often, same thing when we point out that men make up the majority of violent crime victims “yeah and its other men who do it”. Not saying you’re doing this with your comment, just that it happens a…

women aren't being shallow. They aren't requiring men to have a lot of money. Women are seeking men who are emotionally available and can be a good partner. And in my original comment to you, I pointed out that a lot of young men already possess the traits women supposedly want, but women don’t pick them anyway, so again, how is this supposed to motivate those young men if women ultimately pick other partners for likely more superficial reasons once all other conditions (emotional intelligence, …
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 07:12 PM

Okay so then why can’t you understand why this doesn’t motivate a lot young men to change when they won’t see any results anyway? Men are at least more realistic than women about these things because we already know that a lot of women are shallow since we’re the ones who typically do the approaching and thus risk rejection
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 06:53 PM

Feminism got its foothold in having clearly defined terms for all of their grievances and despite being physically weaker, feminists, which were once a minority of women managed to badger nearly every institution into submission. Why can't we do the same? Because women are in solidarity with one another and men are typically in competition with one another. Feminists have clearly defined issues that collectively affect women and took action - men need to start showing more support for one anothe…
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 06:49 PM

Do men believe that every single man a woman interacts with wants to have a long term relationship with her? Nope but y’all get offended even when we’re honest that all we’re interested in is sex lol It’s why even good looking guys play games, because so many of y’all always try to play the victim no matter what we do
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 06:34 PM

The reason this doesn’t motivate young men is because some actually meet all these “requirements” but women don’t pick them anyway. Then the same women will also complain that the older/more attractive guys are toxic, or that they “groomed” them, which allows them to both enjoy the temporary benefits of the relationship and the added bonus of being able to play the victim for social credits when the relationship ends.
/r/PurplePillDebate03/06/24 05:56 PM
3

It’s more about the type of person who frequents conventions - maybe two people don’t even like the same shows or one is a gamer and the other is an anime nerd, but it’s more the sentiment of “this person gets me” rather than “we have the exact same interests, this is the love of my life!”
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/24 01:01 PM
13

I think approaching directly at the convention is risky, sure, but meeting people there, keeping touch online or joining a gaming group with them, etc, could absolutely be a good way for people with “nerdier” interests to start dating. Going to a loud bar or club where you can’t really talk is the worst possible idea for people who are socially inept
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/24 12:58 PM

This is also why they get pissed and react so negatively when a guy they find unattractive even politely approaches them - “how dare that moid approach me and think he had a chance”
/r/PurplePillDebate02/06/24 12:53 PM

Now you’re the one making baseless accusations because you simply misread my comment

this is not one What? Not sure what you even actually mean, but basically all of OP’s posts are some deluded “man bad” bs and she refers to men as “males”, so yes, she has issues IMO
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:13 PM

Just another BPD non-binary failing to take any accountability for their decisions, but 100% this is the typical “let me play the victim even though I was wrong” strategy that women often use and of course, other women recognize the game and go along with it to help out the sisterhood.
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:10 PM

Lol nope and they won’t. OP is just another NB with bipolar disorder that hasn’t found some form of activism to occupy their time until the next toxic man who makes them feel validated in some way comes along
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 04:05 PM

Yeah, reading your post history - you should have started therapy yesterday. I ended up feeling objectified and toyed with. The older guys were never genuine. Just were in for the fun. And honestly, it is not ethical. It is not ethical nor healthy to be intruding the younger generations' space. It honestly felt like some form of incest or grooming or something. Like I would expect from a decent old guy to treat youngsters like what they are, youngsters. Severe lack of accountability here, you ch…

/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 02:49 PM

Emotionally intelligent. Not abusive and has never hit a woman What’s unreasonable are your priorities - sure the two coincide but get real. This list sounds like it was made by someone on TikTok lol

OP’s flair is literally “blue pill woman”, are y’all that fucking dense or is it that you simply HAVE to give other women benefit of the doubt any time a man points out how she’s being an idiot?
/r/PurplePillDebate01/06/24 02:19 PM

This entire post lol So many women love making demands like these but then have nothing to offer in return, they’re actually looking for a bangzaddy to take care of them

don't focus on the hottest stacies It’s interesting because men on this sub are always telling women not to go for the hottest guys because they tend to mistreat women; funny how that plays out when the shoe is on the other foot lol
/r/PurplePillDebate31/05/24 04:45 PM
4

Feminists talk about this shit all of the time. Really? Because most of those subs seem to just complain about men; seems like topics such as these are always removed from those subs
/r/PurplePillDebate30/05/24 01:33 AM
1

It doesn’t mean you can’t be happy, but this comes off as willfully ignorant when OP literally said in the title, “what would make you reconsider” which by implication means that they’re single because they are happier being that way than the alternative of being in a relationship.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 03:56 PM
2

Then that’s not “happily single” lol
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 03:51 PM
2

“making peace with being single” is far different from “happily single”, you don’t need make peace with something you want or like
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 03:38 PM
1

This upsets you which I think is sorta odd. That’s an odd assumption to make but okay lol I don’t care if women want to be approached, I don’t care if they do the approaching - if it’s your preference to be approached that’s fine too - but saying you “need” someone to approach (as the other person did, I wasn’t responding to you), just removes your agency as a person regardless of gender.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 03:08 PM
1

Nobody said anything about single by choice. OP did in their title lol or does “reconsider” not mean that?
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 02:47 PM
2

Most species also don’t use smartphones or question whether certain traits are typical of the male or female of their own species, so trying to say it’s “unnatural” is bs, RP is always trying to shoehorn evo psych in to prove a point
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 02:33 PM
1

Point is options aren't always just presenting themselves. Either the options are there and these women aren’t approaching the men because it ruins their fantasy of the guy they like choosing them (or they’re scared of rejection), or the options don’t exist in the first place in which case they’re not really single by choice anyhow.
/r/PurplePillDebate29/05/24 02:18 PM
-1

Pretty sure most single women actually need someone to ask first Can they not ask men out??? Or is their attraction only contingent upon a man they like pursuing them? Either way, it’s infantilizing suggest that women “need” to be asked out first

I agree with that - men like that tend to be repeat offenders and in the US, at least, our legal system unfortunately doesn’t do shit for victims.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/24 05:33 PM
4

Chasing “younger women” and chasing “teenagers” are two completely different things though, I don’t think it’s appropriate for grown men in their 40s to be approaching teenagers, even when it’s “legal”. Most men in their 40s are doing neither, divorce rates are declining and most people tend to date within 2-3 years of their age range in the first place.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/24 05:29 PM
4

Yes and no - try to remember that a lot of Millennials are now in their 40s and have gotten the same “age gap” and consent messaging Gen z grew up on. I do agree that the guys who didn’t have much experience when they were younger may try to recapture their youth by hooking up with younger women, but most people tend to date within 2-3 years of their age.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/24 04:00 PM

Reddit’s user base consists of a lot more teenagers than you probably think, so many of them are probably still young themselves. IME most grown men (25+) have 0 interest in teenagers, it’s just very overstated online. What I will say is that I’ve consistently noticed it’s the dudes Gen X or older (45+) who seem to still act like creeps and are the ones catcalling, harassing young women in person and online, etc, and many women seem to corroborate this as well, so I suspect it’s largely a genera…

Wow you did some digging for this one huh? And yes I was by myself at the time, I sort of went along with things just so it’d end, I was also worried they might lie to get me in trouble if I said or did anything. Still disagree with that last part in spite of what happened
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 09:06 PM

Nah they need to feel like the victims so they think have the upper hand socially
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 04:07 PM

Okay so link it
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 12:16 PM

there was a particular study revealing that when the ages were unknown to the male participants, the preferred age landed on 16 Which surveys? The first survey you’re talking about said most men are attracted to women in their early twenties, which is not the same as teenagers, and saying “oh well if they didn’t know her age they’d still find her attractive” is an assumption, not proof
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 10:58 AM

This is more “man bad” bs but even if we entertain the Dataclysm study that says most men are attracted to women in their early 20s, that’s still not the same as men being attracted to teens. There’s been a rash of female teachers raping their male students but I’m not going to accuse women of secretly wanting teen boys
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 10:52 AM

Right because your experience dating one older man at 19 is an adequate sample size to project your whacked ass beliefs onto 4 billion plus men 🙄 lol
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 10:42 AM

Making wild accusations about people doesn’t make them true or prove a point lol you’re saying the same shit all over this thread too - projecting much?
/r/PurplePillDebate26/05/24 10:36 AM

Happy for you both :) I don't want to be with someone who views sex so flippantly. Agreed, I feel the same regarding n-count, men unfortunately get called “insecure” for expressing this sentiment but I don’t think either gender is as such for having this as a boundary.
/r/PurplePillDebate24/05/24 07:59 PM
2

True, but they also unfortunately tend to be players and have higher than average N. Only speaking for myself, that's a deal breaker. I think that’s a reasonable boundary to have, I would however say that is quite dismissive to assume a certain type of person all behaves one way, you could be denying yourself a potentially great partner; I only say this because many men make the same assumptions about women - it’s often either a cope because they’re too scared to approach or sour grapes because …

Now what do the men here think of the other side? Namely, women who never engage in casual sex and think alpha bros aren't even worth being around, much less having sex with. Women aren’t a monolith, so I could see this playing out many ways - the type of women you’re describing likely wind up in committed relationships early on and stay with that partner, or rarely date at all and stay single most of their lives. Women in the first group tend to be very loyal or eventually miss out on what they…

But for larger groups the numbers advantage pretty much always works for them instead of against them so it shouldn't be an issue at all. Progressivism isn’t a singular group though, and I’d say “woke” people are different from progressives in that they tend to have a singular cause they champion, thus you don’t have huge numbers of people in those spaces. The more ideologically similar people are, the more they tend to split hairs on an issue if they aren’t in complete agreement either one anot…

Leaving the community isn’t the same as censoring people, and it’s usually the extreme right who want to ban books and keep women from getting abortions (unless it’s with their mistress then it’s okay)
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 11:58 AM

It’s not pushback on ideas but rather the behavior itself, you can easily Gish-gallop and bombard people with questions just so you look like you’re “winning” the discussion. Get enough people who think and act the same way to all congregate in the same spaces and they’ll overwhelm anyone regardless of their ideology

Men stepping in to down play their experiences or shame women for their personal life choices doesn't help anyone and will not change anything for the better. If anything men participating like that only makes the tension between men and women worse. I do agree with you, but I also see plenty of women who also go to men’s subs to stir up shit and behave the same way incels do on women’s subs, and they often defend this behavior by citing crime statistics, as if that somehow makes it justified.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/24 11:29 AM

Most men don’t report when women sexually assault us either though, and many women are a lot creepier and more abusive than other women care to actually admit or acknowledge. I basically never see men defend rape or abuse but women have a CRAZY in group bias
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 10:27 PM

A lot of women bring it up to shut down a conversations that have nothing to do with sexual assault though, especially if men have a legitimate complaint about how they’re treated.
/r/PurplePillDebate20/05/24 10:24 PM

I think it’s okay to end a relationship for those reasons, it’s definitely something certain people purposely do once they feel they have your commitment

No man under the age of 20 should be allowed in the Manosphere. I’m sorry dude but this is deluded - you really think that teens and young boys wouldn’t be able to get access to that stuff due to age restriction? Lol they can’t even keep porn away from underage users
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 03:26 PM

Where? All of them are just telling OP his gf and women like her are awful and to leave. Men complain about paying for everything and you think we want you barefoot and pregnant? LOL I don’t even want kids
/r/PurplePillDebate19/05/24 03:07 PM

🥱 nah that’s just what you tell yourselves to frame yourselves as victims to gain social sympathy. Go be strong and independent, there’s really nothing stopping you besides the “man bad” mentality, and don’t associate with men if they’re so awful, pretty simple really

It continues to amaze me how you and other women like you really do give other women so much benefit if the doubt regardless of how shitty their behavior may be. How is saying “I hate men” an okay conversation to have in a professional setting????
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 05:01 PM
3

And yet most men won’t even commit a violent crime within their lifetime, even if you go based on arrests, so why bring it up when we’re talking about it being so common for women to hate men, is it justification for the hatred?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/05/24 04:19 PM

Aileen Wournos for starters (let me guess, you’re gonna deflect to her abusive childhood, as if most male serial killers also didn’t also grow up in abusive households? Or does it not count because they’re men?) And for every Junko Furuta there’s a Shanda Sherer who was tortured, sexually assaulted and burned to death by 4 female friends, so why do y’all always have to deflect to crime stats? Patriarchy =/= men. Women like you literally do the same thing incels do when they brigade women’s subs,…

Despite what you may believe, I’m not a below average woman, hence I only felt the need to talk shit in the comments lol
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/24 11:35 AM

those same men l'm talking about are upset that they have to put as much competitive effort into being attractive as women always have I disagree as most of the frustration I see from men are that they’ve actually put in a ton of effort to improve themselves but women who “appropriately match” these men (looks, education, income, interests/hobbies, etc - I understand this is all subjective) often have no interest in them anyway.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/24 03:27 AM

The men who don't want…a woman Are gay or asexual lol don't waste their time focusing on women I don’t think that’s necessarily true; I don’t need a partner - I enjoyed life on my terms before we were together - but I love her very much and would rather have her in my life. If anything, being in a relationship means I’m less focused on women because I already have the woman I want.
/r/PurplePillDebate16/05/24 03:10 AM

A well rounded man who can take care of himself doesn’t need a partner either though, and many women would rather paint all men in broad strokes as sex-crazed losers who lack self control than to admit that desirable men may neither want nor need them.

I have no doubt that women get harassed, and I’m sorry for your experience - second woman I kind of understand because she does post on here fairly often and I see guys getting aggressive, so I do get that. But there are lot of women on here who equate even the slightest respectful disagreement as misogyny and it’s really difficult to have any type of meaningful discussion (I don’t think that’s you btw). Regardless, I will try to do better, just more of an aside as to where some of us are coming…

LOL one woman on here made fun of me taking care of my terminally ill mother because I said the “bear question” was not an effective strategy since most men weren’t getting the intended message; another one of y’all accused me of having multiple accounts and DMing her abusive messages just because I disagreed with her on a few posts (hint: I didn’t and this is my only account). Ooh struck nerve huh? This is a debate sub, so most posts are questions or claims you’re meant to challenge, there’s even flair for “questions for women”, is that triggering to you somehow?
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/24 10:29 PM
-6

I'm trying to extract a clear yes or no but I'm not having any luck. Yes because PPD women need to pick apart and pathologize your question to tell you why you’re a misogynist/incel instead of actually giving a clear “yes” or “no”
/r/PurplePillDebate15/05/24 10:25 PM

There is no need to become bitter about these interview responses. It's just a result of how men and women are wired to respond differently to certain stimuli as a result of evolutionary forces throughout tens of thousands of years. It's not even about being bitter, it's literally that if a man doesn't go along with the trend and say "yep, we're so awful and dangerous, women should choose the bear!" the response from women is always "you mad" or "oh so you just don't believe statistics???", "fra…

/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 07:06 PM

I am but I don’t get how you’d interpret my questions as meaning that I believe “normalcy is worthless”, that’s a false equivalence
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 06:53 PM
3

you think normalcy is worthless and nonparticipatory/noncontributory. Oh but I don’t, I asked you if you thought women didn’t participate in society since you seem to think men are responsible for a majority of the problems. Women perpetuate patriarchy too
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 06:36 PM
3

Doing the best and worst isn't doing "everything" No but it means having the greatest impact, so are you saying women didn’t contribute anything of value or participate? when women do most of the violence, we surely will be obligated to mitigate it as well So women want to commit violence against men?
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 06:28 PM
2

You realize you’re basically telling all the manosphere types “yes, men did everything” - both good and bad - when you try to make this argument? “Patriarchy” =/= “men”, it’s everyone in society, which women are participatory to as well and therefore just as responsible for “cleaning up”. This is what we mean when we say a “lack of accountability” from women, because many of you are feminists when it’s convenient, and “this is all mens fault so they need to deal with it” is not an effective prax…

This just reads as the lamest attempt possible at being intellectually condescending. You didn’t even manage to say something interesting that people agree with.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/05/24 02:10 PM

/r/PurplePillDebate11/05/24 09:02 PM

I think a lot of that was for entertainment purposes and not because people actually buy into Tate’s bullshit. Very few shorts/reels of his made it to my Instagram or Reddit feed, and while I still see screenshots of his dumbass tweets, I mostly don’t hear about him outside of spaces such as PPD
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/24 01:45 PM

I don’t believe that but I do think a lot of these women are used to being the one assuming the moral high ground so they really don’t like if a man does it
/r/PurplePillDebate09/05/24 03:50 AM

I think many women feel entitled to insulting men into changing. A woman on this sub made fun of me for taking care of my sick mother because I disagreed with her on the ridiculous man vs bear subject, her argument being that men should take stock of women saying they’d rather be in the forest with a bear and change. This seems to be the general sentiment a lot of women have, but Its just crazy to me because I basically fit most of the lefty/feminist stereotypes but even I feel completely unwelc…

Sometimes people like the idea of someone but that idea gets shattered when they have an actual conversation. This is exactly why so many men say women don’t take any accountability - you do realize you have literally bent yourself in every way possible trying to defend a random woman you don’t even know? Men here are even telling you they hate this approach
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 09:38 PM
3

You don't need to pay a recruiter after an interview to know that you were lucky to get that opportunity in the first place. This makes no sense - the JOB is what you’re seeking, so there’s no luck involved if you interview and don’t get picked
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 09:00 PM

Also, being asked to buy a drink is not inherently an approach Lmfaooo the shoehorning and just completely moving goalposts - what is it then? So not only can women not handle rejection but they’re too cowardly to even approach in the first place AND have too much of an ego to admit it
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 08:59 PM
5

He doesn't have to do anything but he is still lucky to be given the opportunity which is what my point is. She asked him to buy her a drink, which is definitely him “having to do something” - if he says “no I won’t buy you a drink but we can talk,” how far is that interact going to go? Truly being lucky would be like the times I’ve smiled at a woman and she walked over to talk to me WITHOUT a demanding that I buy her a drink in order to do so.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 08:27 PM

you're still lucky to be given the opportunity so my point still stands. She doesn't need to tell you that you're lucky, you know it, she knows it, and so does everyone else because it's just a fact. Op said no and turned her down, so how is he lucky if he was approached by a woman he didn’t want? She’s invading his personal space and trying to get a free drink from him
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 08:25 PM
4

Would you say a chad is wrong for correctly assuming that a lot of people are attracted to him? He is if he assumes everything thinks he’s hot and then winds up violating someone’s boundaries because he thinks no one will say no to him. Why is it any different for a woman? She approached the other person posting, so why does he have to buy her a drink when he hasn’t expressed any interest in her?
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 08:21 PM

Does it only feel condescending to you because the woman knows that she's doing a favor and that you should be grateful that she's even talking to you? How is she doing him a favor if she wants him too, or does she not actually want him and is doing him a favor by pretending she’s interested - wait….don’t y’all always complain about men wanting women to hook up with men they’re not attracted to? Do women have no autonomy in dating that they have to be approached first in order to get the partner…

Right, but socially, men are also expected to approach, thus we approach and are rejected far more often than women. The more attempts made, the more trends in frequency of outcome that emerge, the same way women typically spending more time caring for children results in higher statistical likelihood of them committing child abuse. Even with progressivism, women still aren’t expected to initiate or approach, nor are they told they’re failures or that there must be something be wrong with them i…

What a coincidence, because I own and operate a preschool and both I and the only other man I hired have been highly regarded by the parents of our students for years; the only accusations of abuse I’ve ever had to deal with were for female staff members. And statistically women are responsible for 50-70% of child abuse cases as children tend to spend more time with their mothers and female caregivers - if patriarchy held women to the expectation of being the gender who “approaches” in romance, in addition to their self worth be reflected in whether they’re rejected or not, we’d see women handling rejection just as poorly as they do with courting dynamics.
/r/PurplePillDebate07/05/24 02:30 PM

Would you stay in a relationship with someone who doesn’t respect you?

I said nothing about rape, or expecting a partner to do something just because they did it with another partner, you’re projecting and failed to address the points I made because you are hyper focused on this singular comment that triggered you

So exactly one dude responded this way and now you expect every man on the sub to weigh in on it????
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/24 04:14 PM

And that was not my response so why are you bringing it up? Women aren’t a hivemind but you get to assume that I think the same way because this is literally in your post: Now replace this situation with relationships and things like: sex after the first date, abuse, infidelity, or anal sex. You absolutely tried to make that equivalence, so not only do you lack empathy but you’re dishonest and argue in bad faith

If the issue isn’t money, it would be emotional support because I’ve been suddenly kicked out of the house and my marriage is obviously having problems. Going to a friend for support is a good thing, and aren’t women always complaining about all that “unpaid labor” they do via emotional support? If a friend isn’t willing to help you out when you’re in need because they don’t like the way another friend who isn’t you behaved, then they obviously assume the worst in you and don’t trust you. I would probably distance myself with John following that - I would understand where he was coming from, especially if he explained what had happened with Mark, but I would also not ever ask John for probably anything ever again, and I also wouldn’t lend myself to do him any larger favors myself as I’d know that I couldn’t truly depend on him should I be in a difficult situation.

Okay, so does John want a roommate or not?
/r/PurplePillDebate05/05/24 01:50 AM

OP, does John WANT a roommate, or does he prefer to live alone? Because unless John is actively looking for a roommate (not a lover because you’ve already established this is between friends), your thought experiment makes no sense and assumes women are just doing men a favor by entering into relationships with them, which, honestly wouldn’t surprise me if that’s how you feel.

I think it is redundant to ask people in unfortunate situations why they chose an abuser. I didn’t ask why anyone chose an abuser, I asked why you would ignore a major red flag - someone being verbally or physically abusive is more than enough reason to leave. It doesn’t really make sense given how so many women are hyper aware of any type of abuse, harassment, rape, and view men as so scary and dangerous…but they’ll just let a guy mistreat them if he’s attractive enough? I'm sure you know men w…

people who are good at manipulating often slip through the cracks or have planted seeds of control by which time it's too late. But are ALL men really like this, as in every single man you’ve ever encountered in your life? And I’m sorry, but so many women go on and on about the smallest red flags being reason enough to drop a guy at the first sign of trouble, so why would you ignore a MAJOR red flag? If it’s so dangerous, even with men you know, shouldn’t the first sign of trouble be enough for …

You’re kinda misrepresenting that post (typical for this sub) - she saw her bf’s fyp on tiktok or Instagram and it was all girls who were blonde baddie types and she was too insecure to realize that maybe people are attracted to different looks and that her bf could still love her and be attracted to her while also finding other women attractive too.

What is it with RP and these weird ass revenge fantasies? And yes, I feel bad for anyone who experiences infidelity, because I wouldn’t want to experience that - cheating is bad no matter what, just divorce or breakup and then go have your fun as a single man.

Yep, not to mention the amount of supposedly independent women who can’t cook, clean or keep their living space tidy and organized, and/or don’t know basic life skills, but they like to act like men are all living in squalor and are incapable of taking care of themselves.

Right, I was referring to the aspect of people complaining regardless; men also get accused of whiteknighting all the time and it can be with regard to their preferences, not to mention how women constantly question our motives or just flat out assume the worst (which I thoroughly understand is out of self preservation/safety but I’m sure I’ll get a lecture on it anyway), so while it’s not the same, let’s not act like women don’t accuse us of dishonesty And there's no "added" pejoratives for men…

There's no winning either way. Once you realize this, you might as well just say how you feel and what you really like and want. I get you but it’s the exact same way for men, there is no winning but we get the added accusations of misogyny/“incel” no matter how respectful we are in stating our preferences.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 08:18 PM

I’ve noticed it’s more “convenient” feminism - too many strong, independent women who don’t need men also infantilize themselves to leverage vulnerability and hide behind their gender.

I had to read this one and others like 48 Laws of Power in graduate school - they’re all the same brand of Blinkest Best corporatist self improvement that billionaires like to push as one of the ways they became successful to deflect from the shady shit they did (or how much they inherited from their family) to become wealthy.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 06:17 PM

And? It’s what I see on all social media regardless, what is your point
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 03:37 PM

Oh for sure, but let’s not pretend that women are holding one another accountable for the shitty things they do, and I see it on many subs besides this one. Men and women are far more likely to come to the defense of women but not men - users on subs like r/AITA, r/amiwrong, r/relationship_advice and the like all skew heavily in favor of women by default.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 03:08 PM

But men are equally guilty of all those things as well, but the focus is always on how uniquely INCAPABLE women are of taking responsibility. Because men will call other men on their bullshit, I see it all the time. And if the offending man gets defensive and doesn’t own up to his mistakes, he’s called out further. The men who do take accountability often receive encouragement through tough love. For women to do all the things mentioned, they'd pretty much have to climb up INTO the pussy pedesta…
/r/PurplePillDebate28/04/24 02:55 PM

what is it that women are doing that they need to be accountable for? I agree that the complaints you’ve described in your post are pretty ridiculous - I think the areas in which I see a “lack of accountability” are: women defending the shitty actions (cheating, being mean/abusive towards their male partners, etc) of other women to a fault, and always giving other women benefit of the doubt while men are blamed for everything and given 0 empathy women being offended by things like body shaming b…

Yawn 🥱 Lol you’re trying so hard. The topic at hand refers to dudes who don't have friends. But if you wanna move the goalposts fine. Not moving goalposts - if a person has friends but still longs for a romantic relationship, their feelings are still valid and they can still be lonely, which is what I commented on.
/r/PurplePillDebate26/04/24 03:15 PM
3

Or maybe a lot of this loneliness "woe is me" that we're seeing is viewed as self inflicted and strangers don't know about it or just don't give a fuck Wow, a lack of empathy and blaming men for these problems, what a shocker lol can’t make a single friend My comment was about men who do have friends, so how is this relevant? Of course people who don’t have any friends would be lonely and a partner wouldn’t solve that

It's why women typically fare better being single, women have bigger friendship groups who they open up with and they're less likely to place all their social and emotional needs onto one person. If the men complaining were never in a relationship to begin with, they never had anyone onto whom they would place all their social and emotional needs, so all they have to rely on are their friends. The friends who are also single are either enjoying being single and hooking up with women, thus making…

I think “men cannot hide behind modernity” in terms of relying on modern ideas to be both true and evident in every day life - for example, this idea that women will approach men. Women do approach men, but in different ways, and men are still largely expected to initiate in terms of actually establishing the relationship even if the woman is attracted to him. I would say that “hiding behind modernity” in that sense is foolish, but all that other bs you wrote about women going powermad and men b…

blame man for not having backbone That’s why you feel powerless, but if you grow said backbone and learn to walk away when someone isnt respecting you or when the situation isn’t good for you, you show self respect and regain your power. Nothing wrong with distancing yourself from someone following a rejection, especially if it was someone in your friend group.

Flouncing out because she doesn't return the attraction is pretty weak, imo. How is it weak to want to distance yourself from someone after they reject you? If he isn’t bothering her or being petty or anything, then he’s not doing anything wrong, in fact, it’s healthy and mature to remove yourself from the situation if you’re uncomfortable. It’s also actually quite selfish to expect the rejected party to continue to be your friend in that case too. He was honest about his feelings and you didn’t…

My OP was a question, and I clearly asked for a “yes” or “no” answer in the description.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 01:44 AM

Okay, so again, you don’t feel you have an advantage, because you don’t feel that simply existing as a woman makes things easier for you.
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 01:40 AM
1

No shame in taking time for yourself following the end of a breakup
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 01:38 AM
1

And that is a situational advantage that is independent of gender; it is not an advantage as a result of gender, thus you don’t think you have an advantage as a woman. Why is it so difficult for you to give a “yes” or “no” answer?
/r/PurplePillDebate18/04/24 01:34 AM
1

This has very little to do with what I was asking, but your “power” should lie in your sense of self control. If you crave sex less, you have less of an excuse to blame your hormones for making stupid decisions. Low libido women also exist, a few women here have commented that they fit the description- what’s to stop you from looking for a partner who is similar to you in that regard?

All I did was change my relationship status to single and I had five dudes trying to take me out How many out of the 5 dudes trying to take you out were actually viable options - as in, men you’d actually want to be physically intimate with at the very least, or in a serious relationship at most?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/04/24 11:05 PM
1

Then you clearly didn’t read the question, as I’m asking women whether or not they feel they have an advantage and why (or why not), not an attempt at “discerning the truth”. This wasn’t a debate post, which is also why I flared it as “discussion”.

Go back and read the original comment the woman in question left. So she likes and cares for random guys more than her husband? Nope she said that the inhibition she felt being with a stranger lent itself to the sex being more enjoyable for her; as I said before, other women have commented something similar, they they feel less insecure about their bodies when they’re with someone they don’t know and won’t see again. And secondly the choice of money as the issue I chose money as an example because whereas most women don’t want to be used by men for their bodies, most men don’t want to be used by women for their resources. /r/PurplePillDebate10/04/24 03:48 PM

Having more than one partner isn’t the issue, it’s the comparison of “economy class” vs “first class” between the woman’s husband and the one night stand she had that is disrespectful. Any woman who found out her husband thought her body/looks were “economy class” in comparison to her husband’s ex gf or summer fling would rightfully be insulted.

I certainly agree that while there are some very unhinged and dangerous men that often convene in manosphere-type groups, a lot of women just have an unhealthy fear of men and run to crime stats to justify their feelings. When you actually look at crime rates in the US, property crime has increased while violent crime has been declining for decades; a majority of men aren’t violent and will never commit a violent crime in their lifetime. And while yes, a lot of sexual assault goes under reported…

Nope, i spent a lot of time in the bar/club scene, if you dress more femininely or out of the box as a man, women will just think you’re gay. I saw a post of r/fauxmoi where a few women were gushing over this like halter top Jacob Elordi wore for a magazine shoot and they were saying “so many more men should dress like this” and all the men were quick to point out that women just think you’re gay. They’ll talk to you, sure, but it’s because they think you’re “safe” and won’t hit on them.

A bi woman approaching other women who are potentially afraid of/don’t like men is not going to appeal to women the same way as a man does. Many bi women also admit to having difficulty approaching other women for the same reasons men do in that they don’t know if they’re being friendly or actually flirting back.

Yes I'm not a man that has to appeal to women, but I have learned that yes ladies do like a select few men 1) most women nowadays generally say they’re afraid of men, so it’s completely different for them to talk to and relate to another one “from the sisterhood” - women have a huge in-group bias and 2) you just admitted that in talking to other women they all pick a select few guys and even if we go by “their personal top 20” they’re still excluding most men.

I think the problem is that men don't know what they want but they do know that they want to be wanted without realizing that not everyone is going to want them in the first place. I disagree - men are socialized to approach and thus learn if they’re unattractive sooner. Women can also be very mean and very vocal about it, and nowadays they’ll post rejection screenshots and make them very public through social media. They're wasting energy and getting frustrated for no reason. I think it’s a was…

“Niche” inherently means you’re appealing to a smaller more focused audience, thus limiting your options, which is pretty counterintuitive.

Until you have to approach a woman I don’t think you can really say what it’s like to appeal to one

why not try that I did and because of that, I’m not desperate and am in a happy relationship. It’s still a ton of work and appealing to the female gaze is not nearly as cut and dried as appealing to the male gaze, so saying “just do that” really isn’t that simple. Women also aren’t expected to initiate as men are and thus don’t expose themselves to rejection nearly as often or in the same way men do, so I don’t really expect you to understand (or care).

why don’t more men appeal to the gaze of women Because in order to do so, a man not only has to look the way said women want him to, but also act the way said women want him to act. And aren’t women on here always saying they aren’t a monolith/hivemind?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
