I'm not too sure. I feel like there is a sense of obligation from taking someone's money in my opinion. I feel like it must be an attempt to integrate me into her family more or like you said marriage future.

I definitely have met her parents many times, but never as a family trip. Do you mind telling me about your story with your gf? I just feel like spending that much money on me seems like their parents or her are super serious about this relationship. I can understand if she was my inlaws but we arent in that stage yet
