It isn't. I posted here because I had posted previously about the move to my SO and had promised to give an update. This is my update.

You are right, I am choosing. And both he and I agree that this is the choice that is best for the team. I am not a victim, just sad that in making the choice, I don't get all the other things I had wanted at the same time. But as you pointed out, that adult life. Thank you.

I have started doing that. Thank you for your advice. It just was such a blow for us ending the distance but an amazing opportunity at the same time.

I found this out with my ex. Near the end, I'd stare and him and in my mind I'd ask, "what do you do?". I was busy doing a million things and he was doing nothing. It became disturbingly unsexy to me as time passed.

Me too. So hard to find someone who calls women out on their bullshit.

I too wanted to say the above but was pretty sure you'd find what I was saying 'mean' as well. It's just that you don't seem to realise that this man, your partner, now has negative associations with you, your presence, your crying and your selfishness. Mental illnesses are hard to deal with but being the SO of a person with mental illness is super tough too. Your therapist typifies the behaviour of society however in asking your partner to do EVEN MORE to help you feel better, despite him clear…

I recommend this book to everybody and my SO and I make nerdy jokes from quotes out of this book. Excellent and easy read!

I'm glad to have met you and the rest of the fab women and men who are part of the RPW community. I grew a ton this past year and have the scars to prove it. In a couple days, I move countries to be with my Captain and I do that being much more aware of the skills it takes for this to last 50 years. Thanks a million, luvvies!

Take it as an opportunity to learn how to love your SO in ways that he responds well to because his mother does them. The bonding is great but reframe the time you spend as time to pick up the little things from her. I think this comment on helping her is a great way to do that.

I'm super excited to get to the "my wife" part! Great blog entry as always /u/IanIronwood

I think of it this way. Would it matter to me? Not really. I'd just eat after I'm done and take Tums. Does it matter to him? Yes. So, I do it "for" him.

It's nothing as bad as perhaps I poorly worded it. I have had no eating disorders. I eat. I eat well. Most days I eat regularly like any other normal human. He just know that, if I'm working on a project, I forget. And the enthusiasm for it will pull me to complete the work rather than break for food. On those days, since we've discussed that me being sick for perfectly avoidable reasons doesn't make sense, I deliberately break to eat then go back to work. It isn't sinister at all.

Eat regularly and on schedule 3-5 meals a day is what I meant. When I skip meals, my stomach has to be tenderly coaxed into accepting the food because the urge to upchuck it is strong. It is completely avoidable if I eat on time. I don't get sick often or easily if I just remember to prioritise eating over whatever super important thing I'm doing.

The way StingrayVC explained is exactly what I meant. If I eat on time, I don't get sick and he doesn't need to be concerned about me. So, my job, in being his first mate is to eat on time, even when he isn't here, so he can do what he needs to do without worrying about me.
/r/RedPillWomen15/12/14 03:38 PM

I eat on time. Seriously, that's my small but big thing. I'll eat during the day because I'll get hungry. But often, I get caught up in work and suppress the urge to eat, then forget I was hungry and then feel ill later in the day and remember I haven't eaten for hours. Since we are apart for a couple weeks, my job is to carry out his "care and feeding" until I go back and that means eating when I'm freaking supposed to. So small yet so huge. My CO shouldn't have to worry if I'm following orders…

And some are just lazy. The idea that they would have to lift a finger to do anything, to change to please someone is offensive to their laziness, not their ideals.

And I shall surely adopt this. It makes sense. RPW really boils down to respect. Thank you for pointing it out to me in a way that will make sense when I explain it!

I'm ENFJ. RPW makes more sense to me culturally as well as personally however. Being the best I can be in all areas of my life is important. Edit: After the 3rd time, the test confirmed I'm ENFJ.

I find my guy friends are much more receptive to TRP truths than the women, just because they can't imagine that "giving" him sex isn't the only thing that a man could want from them. I too however feel it for some of the women who keep making bad decisions then hoping that the next man that comes along will be their "Prince Charming".

Your friend sounds like some of these women. They talk a mean game about how wrong their SO is until I point out places where they may have gone wrong as well. Then I realise my job was only to sympathise. I wish you all the best on the assertiveness lessons. "Boundaries" by Dr. Henry Cloud may be a useful book for you to read if you are concerned about being more assertive.

Somehow, I can't help sharing though since they are doing harmful things in text book predictable ways. But you are right, the red pill is a choice.

It's not unsolicited but I have to take this mindset of directing them to other topics very seriously. I don't need to feel exhausted after conversations with these people. The upside however is that I hug my SO tighter because it's a crazy world out there!

If only they took responsibility for the things they did and the consequences. You are right, I don't know how it will be received at all, especially since I'm never the friend who jumps on the "he is evil" bandwagon.

I too am cautious but these are people who specifically ask my advice. I don't have any books to give them but I do send them articles and blog to read on a particular issue if they need to hear it from another source.

I use this technique as well. Maybe not tell them everything at once but give them things to think about in a purple pill way. But some of these people want what a relationship looks like instead of what it actually is: constant willingness and effort to be the best partner you can be.

Always be nice to the secretaries. Much of the time, those people run the offices. If you don't get in good with them, all things fall apart.

I found it helpful as well for you to point out exactly what you did because sometimes, we just can't explain to someone else who needs help what it is they need to do. Awesome taking care of your man and awesome post telling us about it.

Whoot! There are more of us here! I too have seen every single point you have mentioned here in practise. I would also add "disposition and politeness". So often female attorneys feel the need to be aggressive and ball busters in every situation. While it is sometimes appropriate, the ability to speak sweetly, use charm and flattery, be polite and warm are sometimes the best tools for other situations. And similar to how we speak with kindness to our SO those skills also translate very well into…

I totally agree. But I can't control his decision to cheat. I can only make it so that it is not desirable for him to cheat when he is happy at home. My man maintains that "contented cows don't stray" and part of his contentment is sex. I totally agree that many things lead to cheating. But I love him and I enjoy being with him and having sex with him in an exclusive monogamous relationship. And that means, I'm his only human sexual outlet.

"Never say no" means that my man never has to wonder if he's done the 85 things I need in advance to lay me down and for me to have sex. It means that after a hard day at work or a nice night sleeping beside me, he knows that sex is on the table as an option. Maybe I don't feel like vaginal sex? So he gets head. Maybe I don't feel like a 5 course meal? We do something shorter. But if I'm not fucking him, there is no one else he can screw. And that is a responsibility I take seriously.

I think this is a good place to seek information to see if our world view meshes with yours. META: Am I the only one uncomfortable with someone asking us to justify or convince them of RPW and if this is the place for them? I've never gone into an established community and asked them to let me know if I fit in so I don't understand the mindset.

So I'm the only one who does not inform Facebook of my relationship status? I was genuinely confused by this. Facebook does not reflect my personal life at all.

I loved both your posts! Thank you so much for taking the time to write them out. It was a fascinating view into Russian culture and the view of America. I am not American and come from a country where red pill views are standard procedure but even that is changing because of us embracing this incomplete, entitled feminism that abounds. So, thank you!

Yeah, this is it. Adoration is fine IF you have the frame to match it. When it is disproportionately sappy with no show of strength from the man, that's when it becomes unsexy. Staying in a relationship with someone who does those things without the things that spark sexual attraction leads some women questioning why there are no more 'gina tingles.

There will be people who will be able to tell you red pill ways to cope. None of those include sleeping around to feel better. But I just came on here to give you a great big hug. Breakups suck but the scrambled eggs will, in time, taste just fine.
