Focussing on the last point, they do try and bring these sites down, there's just too much of it, and it's way too easy to bypass
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:56 AM

"Its literally just porn." is in the description, and I also emphasise it later on
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:55 AM

The bible doesn't focus on those scenes. It focuses on spreading the lords word, and understanding the nature that God wants the Earth to be like. It's meant to redeem you spiritually with moral living. Also the Bible is a fuckin chunk of a book, I'd doubt children would even be reading at that skill level at that age.
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:54 AM

I have no other account, and it shouldn't matter whether or not I'm over or under a certain age. People would react the same if I was a 40 year old man
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:49 AM

Just one question, do you consider these books as porn?
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:48 AM

I do understand the the kids are going to be exposed to tgat content under a young age, but kids learning sex through books isn't the right way to teach them. Parents need to make sure the child is comfortable with talking about that, and they also need to give advice on what and what not to do
/r/PurplePillDebate19/11/24 05:46 AM

No, because it doesn't go into detail, and it takes up a very very tiny space in the book. I believe less than 3 minor scenes are in all 12 books

The bible is made to educate. Education books are fine, because obviously, they're supposed to educate you. Stuff like Icebreaker is for arousal and entertainment, not education. There's a difference between the bible and what im picking at

I feel like it'd depend on the thing. For use of arousal, it'd be a good idea, but if it's to educate or to ask a question about sex or content like that, I think it'd be alright depending on the context. I just feel like there's are too many kids everywhere on the internet that If they fall into the wrong hole, they can be potentially exposed to this sorta content
/r/PurplePillDebate18/11/24 11:23 AM

It'd depend on the severity if the scene if course. I read "Tomorrow, When the War Began" when I was 11 ish, and it has one very light sex scene which includes a very small detail. That's fine. Whereas Icebreaker, for example, shouldn't be in possession on children because of the high amount of porn and detail in those scenes. And also, not every porn book is a fanfic and online

If a parent suspects their child is having sex, then itd be good of the parent to bring up the topic of sex, as well as telling them if you're fine with it or not. I said in another comment that it's good to fill your child in on how the entire thing works and the risks of it, and getting it from a trusted source that isn't some book they got off of a shelf isn't a very good idea if the point of the book is arousal and focusses less on educating

I totally agree with this. It is very Important to ensure your child is aware of the risks of sex, and also doubling down on them learning it in school and talking about it at home is an amazing way to do this. Well said lol

In Australia, it is illegal to sell porn to a minor. Books in Australia with porn thats meant to arouse the reader is considered as porn

Books with sex scenes in it can also leave an impression on the reader as well. (Im assuming your kids have not been in a heterosexual relationship). If they read a book with that material in it, then they might go off into a relationship thinking that's what's going to happen, and also thinking that's how it is for everyone in general. Would you let your teenagers watch porn?

I agree to have a conversation with them about sex, and I do understand that books can be a good learning opportunity, but a lot of them again weren't made to educate. They also might leave an impression on the children that what is in the book is what sex is like for everyone, even that can harm the child

I understand teens are interested in sex, and there are a variety of ways to access it still, I just wouldn't really be comfortable if I caught my imaginary child doing either. I'd at least wait till the age of consent before doing anything like that

This sub is to discuss sex, gender, and relationship issues. Does sex not play a big part in porn?

I wouldn't find a sexually graphic book very educating. People buy those books for entertainment, not education. If they were to buy a book to be educated, it'd be anything but that lmao

I live in Australia. We ban stuff like pornhub until 18, but not with books. Directly quoted from the Richmond River High School: In certain circumstances there are exceptions ,and this is where some teens can be in breach of the law. 1. When the material is classified as child exploitation/abuse/pornography individual under the age of 18. When pornographic material is sent to other people who are under 18. 3. When pornographic material is shown to others under 18. This applies to your home as w…

I slightly agree with that. I read "Tomorrow, When the War Began" when I was 12, and it has one very little scene in it, tahts alright since movies allow it. "Icebreaker," for example, shouldn't be allowed for minors because it goes into much more detail (Happy cake day)

Minors shouldn't be able to read sexually explicit books

So me or her aren't even allowed to look at a movie star and think that they're attractive for example? Attraction is what most people base it on with first impressions, not just with relationships, but with friendships too. You'd be friends with an attractive dude, but there'd be less chance of you wanting to be friends with a short guy with a shit ton of pimples and a terrible haircut

I totally agree with that. As long as my partner is porn addicted, then it shouldn't be a problem. Also, that study idea isn't bad. I wish I was influential enough to be able to do something that big

Many people have an addiction that's incredibly hard to control. Kinda like smoking. You could also get into the habit of watching porn and then getting into a relationship with someone who frowns upon it, then there's problems of controllability. This taking over concept also links with depression, and a lot more.

I'd be fine with it, as long as she doesn't do that with a gigachad with mega inches drilling into her irl

I'm talking about thoughts. And actions that don't include another person being there with the person who is in that mood is not cheating. (Stupid point), but what if the porn you're watching you're not into? Doesn't that defeat the whole purpose of imagining you having sex with the material?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 08:23 AM

I do understand, but calling it cheating is going over the edge a little bit
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 08:17 AM

Thoughts aren't cheating. If you follow up those thoughts and put them into real-life situations, then that's where the problem arises

And also some fetishes don't include penetration, youre basing it off of the most common kink

Altgough I'd be slightly sensitive with that, as long as she isn't going off and doing that or asking Chad's with 6 packs and massive dicks for nudes, I'm fine with it. The main reason being, lust is incredibly hard to control. It overrites our brains and our thinking. All lust wants to do is to make sure you're satisfied with your fantasies. This also works with the men, I bet you most men are guilty of wanting to have sex with other women whilst in a relationship, including me. But I don't go …

because you’re fantasizing about fucking other women That's not usually the case. Yes, you're still jerking off to them, but some fetishes don't include having sex. You're basing it off of the most common kink (if i can even call it a kink, i cant find another word for it)

Lust lowers standards a lot. So I might be disgusted looking at sexual material right now, but if I was turned on, I'd be more attracted to it because of that sexual drive lust has given me. Yes, you are 'lusting' for another person, but that's just what lust does to the body and the brain, it takes over.
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 07:03 AM

You're all good lol. Impressions are weird sometimes
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:59 AM

Lust is an emotion that mainly drives on attraction, which lowers the person's standards a lot. If I, for example, looked at a photo of sexual material right now, I'd be slightly disgusted because I'm not lustful. If I was in a lustful mood and looked at the same photo, I'd be more turned on than disgusted because of that sexual drive lust has given me.

My gf doesn't like it if I would do it I feel like the reason why she doesn't like it when you do is because she might be slightly insecure about herself. This isn't a go at you or your girlfriend, but that's sometimes what can happen. Also, I wouldn't consider myself on the lower end of EQ, I personally think I'm doing fine with it
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:48 AM

and sacrificing sexual gratification from others is a method of it Some relationships actually use this method to stop them from having sex with one another, whether it's from STD, not being able to buy things that'll protect the male, etc.. again, I just don't know why people would be sensitive over that
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:44 AM
7

Why would it be considered cheating? And also, there are so many porn actresses/ex who are in a relationship, including from the 70s
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:40 AM

So take a guess which women would not be as keen on it. Religious people who frown upon it, and children. they don't want you to look and especially not pleasure yourself because of other women. Which was my question, why?

accepting drinks from random men while out at a bar or local watering hole. Men feel uncomfortable from that because the person handing them a drink obviously has some form of attraction to them, whilst they're already in a relationship. There's also slight risk of spiking. You never really know when it comes to that, that's why guys aren't for that behaviour. And if you're dating people when you're in a relationship, that's cheating
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:28 AM

But what part do people who set those boundaries think that it's cheating?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:24 AM

Women watch porn too, and some men get sensitive about that. It's not just men who do that. Also, why would it be cheating? Yes, boundaries, but what part of it do people find sensitive about it?
/r/PurplePillDebate17/10/24 06:23 AM
You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
