In my own experience, I've found that talking things out with my male friends is better when I'm going through a rough time. It's completely possible that the women I've been with weren't very empathetic, but they didn't seem terribly enthused with me leaning on them for any kind of support.

No, she really doesn't. It's obvious from her response that he considered their going out to be some sort of date and that she was aware of this. Yes, the guy is at fault for being a total beta, but that doesn't negate the fact that she leads him on and cucks him completely. Then after everything is all said and done she had the audacity to bullshit him even further by feeding him some lies about how she wanted it to be him.

I didn't make the context of "calling out" very clear. I meant that in his post, he refuses to call her the whore she is, which gives her respect that she doesn't deserve. I did not mean literally calling her out by talking to her. In fact, he should have ignored her and never spoken to her again.

I was waiting for this to be posted on here. Reading that story was painful, and the comments were even worse in my opinion. There are so many highly up voted comments that are basically commending him for the way he handled it (generally being a NiceGuy instead of calling her out on her bullshit) which he seems to be taking to heart. Ultimately, it's up to the OP to figure his life out, but I hate that he's receiving advice that helps him doom himself to doormat status.

Unfortunate, but not totally unexpected. I read and enjoyed his book, as it provided an introduction to concepts that would be further elaborated on in TRP. However, throughout the book it seemed that Strauss never became more than an imitation of an Alpha, so it's not surprising that he's gone full Beta now. BTW, the comment section of the article is packed to the brim with betas/white knights. Some good entertainment there lol.

Good post and insight. As someone still working to swallow the pill, I still find indecisiveness in women quite annoying. They carry on about how much they like it when their opinions are valued, but never seem to have one fucking available when pressed for it.
