I'm applying for graduate school and am going to have many interviews over the coming months. Looking at my past interviews for jobs, internships etc., I've come to the conclusion that my interviews have generally gone worse when the interviewer is a woman rather than a man for the following reasons:

-They tend to be confrontational

-Instead of acknowledging the main points of my responses they dwell on minor details

-They take straightforward responses and twist their meaning

-The whole interview feels like a test, with each question feeling like it has some predetermined response that they want to hear

Maybe I'm off base here and have just been unlucky, so first I will ask if anyone else has had this experience? If so, what did you do to improve your interview performance when the interviewer is female? Honestly, I'd post this in a job related sub, but I think I'd probably get lynched for even insinuating that there may be a difference between male and female interviewers. So what say you TRP?
